Bought 3 barbells for my gym that I use on the rigs at my gym, they did not fit the rig. Asked to exchange them but they would not. To their defense, they have an all sales final policy, but I thought they may try being customer service friendly and make an exception, but no such luck, so that was a waste of money for me. I brought them back the next day unused.Other than that, good prices, nice sales people.
Good prices fast service. This is a warehouse and youll find all kinda gym equipment about 10-15% discount compared to regular retailer stores. Gear is new and come in boxes. All sales are final and there are no returns.
Personally drove to their warehouse as I live in Houston. Purchased a 6ft barbell and bumper plates to do squats at home. Great quality and great customer service. The man who helped me was very gentleman like and polite. The employees loaded everything in the car too. Very well priced. Took less than 15 minutes to get everything. They have a lot of great workout equipment. So happy I found this place. They take card payments.
Friendly and helpful - if you go in person. The warehouse was laid out in a clean and organized manner, and everything was well stocked - from racks, rigs, steel plates, bumper plates, etc etc.If you are not local, and/or you try to call them... they just dont answer the phone. Good luck.
Its literally a warehouse with discount excersie equipment. Im assuming it comes here before it hits the shelves or that its outdated bit the prices and quality of what was being sold was definitely eye catching.
I literally just left this place and its a treasure trove of weight lifting equipment at great prices. For those of you who left poor reviews because its not a storefront, thats because it isnt. Its a warehouse/distributor that just happens to also do direct sales to customers. My sales associate was very helpful and patient with me (I tried half the equipment they had) and even guided me to a better product than the one I thought I wanted. Great place, great service, great equipment, and yes, I was a paying customer.
Nice and clean/organized. People were nice and willing to help right away. This is a hidden treasure for anybody looking for fitness equipment. I will definitely come back for my future fitness needs!
DONT DO IT!!! They dont answer their calls or emails. I recently purchased some bar bells from them and one of the pins were missing and could never get a response from them. 2 emails and one call to which they dont pick up and their mailbox is full. This is NOT HOW YOU SHOULD RUN A BUSINESS!
Im not exaggerating, WORST customer service ever. Their customer service department will send you a link that doesnt answer your questions. They dont respond to emails. I dont know if this is limited to Houston, TX, but their distribution center in Joliet, IL seems to be very incapable of trying to help.I have had very pleasant experiences with RAGE Fitness, Valor Fitness, Titan Fitness, and Rogue Fitness.
Pretty easy to find, contrary to other reviews of this specific location. Massive selection, so it helps to know what you want before you go. The 2in weight plates were reasonably priced, especially for right now during the pandemic. Theyre only charging $1.50/ 1Ib at the time of my purchase. The workers and management were super helpful. They were pretty quick about fetching my equipment. I only spent maybe 10 or 15 minutes there from the moment I park my car to the moment I left. Not the most polite bunch of people but neither were they rude or unpleasant to any capacity. Working in a not air conditioned warehouse in pants is tough work, so I wouldnt expect them to be all cheery like some footlocker employee at the mall. All in all an excellent experience, hands down would recommend to my friends and family. 100% shopping there again in the future.
Prompt service. Prices were alittle high for the 1 inch plates but understandable due to the current market.

This place has everything you need and you cant beat the price. I read some of the other comments and for me, it was great service, it was prompt and they were very helpful.
So I came based on a post on facebook for brand new dumbell set. Seller returned my messages quickly and gave me this address. When I got there I find out its a warehouse, there is no signage directing you where to go I feel uncomfortable walking into the warehouse as its employees only. So I asked someone that I saw who worked there that was going to her car and she told me just to walk in to the warehouse. There I found someone that accepted the payment and quickly loaded up my car with the weight set. Only complaint I really have that its not obvious where to go to get your weights. There is not a store front with a big CAP company logo or nothing, its just a warehouse.With that being said, I got an incredible deal on a weight set. People are selling this stuff 2nd hand and jacking up the price to double based on the demand.
Pro Tip: Show up early.This place is laid back, has a Vending Machine, a Portable Toilet, and Managed to get the entire load ready in 27 minutes and 18 Seconds (Timed it)Dock is so easy you could land it blindfolded and the people are very laid back. I dont know about the Later day shift but the morning guys left a good impression with me. Looking forward to picking up here again.

Terrible customer experience. Purchased a flat bench that was defective, frame was totally bent. Reached out the day after I received it and asked that they do a warranty replacement. They got back with me and said the order had been placed for replacement. That was months ago. They’ve stopped responding to my emails, have provided no updates, and I’m still dealing with the bent bench.
I was shorted the 25 lb weights in my set and have not been able to get a hold of anyone in customer service to send me the replacement weights. Every single option on their IVR goes to a full email box that is not accepting messages and hangs up. I dont understand how a business like this survives. If I could give no stars I would. We bought a home weight machine at the end of January 2019 that was missing the lat bar. I called the next business day, was told to send a detailed email, which I did immediately. Recieved what looked like an auto reply saying I would be contacted within 72 hrsI wasnt. 11 days later received an email stating my order had been processed. 12 days after that a beat up and bent up piece of metal conduit arrived. My husband emailed immediately requesting a call, I called immediately and left a message since it was after business hours. 6 days later no call back, so I called again. Was told they would send me a new one. I requested it to be addressed quicker than their normal response timeline of 10 plus business days and also requested an update on the status. 21 days later, no response no delivery, had to call again. Was told that they couldnt find my shipping info so they would research and email me. I told them I wanted a supervisor to call me no matter what. All I got was an email stating the part was mailed that day with a tracking number. Flyer and website state customer service hours are 8:30am-5pm, called at 4:50 and got a message stating they close at 4:30.Will NEVER buy a product them again. The absolute worst purchase experience ever!
I live in Houston, I noticed a caps warehouse one day driving &stopped in to see if they had parts that had worn-out (roll-pins). A nice lady came out & helped me all in about 6 mins. Gave me what I needed.& only asked for my name for warranty purposes. Good service for me.

An absolutely terrible experience.I recently purchased my second fitness club. Upon doing so it was important to me that I bring in quality dumbbells. I purchased a brand new rack of 5 to 100 pound dumbbells along with two, two tiered racks. The racks came in just fine but the dumbbells did not.The dumbbells arrived one week later than I expected and when the freight company opened the truck it was discovered that the entire pallet of dumbbells had broken and dumbbells were spread across an 18 wheeler. The dumbbells were not properly loaded onto the pallet which therefore allowed for the dumbbells to come loose, break the pallet, fall out of their boxes, and roll around the truck. Numerous dumbbells were damaged; scratched, covered in dirt, debris, rust and a few had huge chips. The destruction was so bad that an 85 pound dumbbell and a 100 pound dumbbell were actually underneath the pallet.I should have refused the delivery but I did not. I instead unloaded the dumbbells one by one from the truck. Once they were inside we discovered a 70 and 80 pound dumbell both had huge divots in them. More dumbbells than we expected were scratched.As the new owner of this gym I am under a magnifying glass by the membership base because the previous owner did very little to improve the gym in four years. Promising members new machines a new dumbbells and having them show up damaged makes me look bad. Has no reflection upon CAP but has a full reflection upon me.An email was sent to CAP and their response was minimal. There was no apology, there was no I’m sorry, there was no effort whatsoever to fix this problem other than to have me fill out an incident form and they promised to replace two of the dumbbells that were heavily damaged. The customer service for this company is abysmal. If you’re not Amazon or a huge powerhouse in the fitness industry CAP does not care about you. I demanded a refund valued at the cost of shipping as well as the replacement of the damaged dumbells and they did not acknowledge anything other than the replacement of two of the heavily damaged dumbbells.There are a lot of other companies out there that make dumbbells. I strongly suggest you purchase from them. I for one will never, for the rest of my life, give this company business or refer others to them

Bought a plate wrack. Delivered without necessary holes drilled into the base for assembly. Been waiting for over a month for a replacement part. Get nothing from customer service. Theyre just not responding. NEVER BUY FROM THEM!Update: now nearly two months. I got this resolved through Amazon. I have left a dozen voicemails asking for someone at Cap Barbell to call back. I have emailed four or five times now. I have had zero response. Worst customer service Ive ever had the curse to work with. I reiterate, NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I purchased a weight plate storage rack that was missing the barbell holder. I contacted Cap because I didnt want to tear the rack back down and return it Academy for a replacement. Cap said no problem and they would have the part out to me in 5-7 days, which has now been over 3 months. Every time I email support it takes weeks for a reply.

Does not even respond to customer inquiries! Called several times and left messages which were unreturned. E-mailed customer service with no response either. I purchased CAP products at Academy. Product was manufactured incorrectly... I figured CAP would at least want to know what there is a problem with their product but clearly they could care less.
I bought a unit and it didnt have all of its parts in the box. So I called them and after getting the runaround for a couple hours ( being sent to different voice mail boxes that where full.) I finally got someone who then sent me to another voice mail. Then I called back and the person I spoke to said that they done. Support vendors that sale their products and that was basically out of luck. He had a (why are you still on the phone?) So clearly, I got upset then he hung up on me. And now every call goes to voice mail. Horrible customer service.
I sent an email to learn how to use their products and they never responded.
They are terrible! They never call you back nor actually is there any warranty on their product it’s a sham.
