Its a bit like a Japanese Dollar Tree only better lit and better stocked. Some items are a challenge to figure out what they are which is just part of the fun. Most prices are $1.50 but some can be more. Still all prices are more than reasonable. Its worth a visit even if you buy nothing.
They had what I needed in stock and a variety of other things in stock at reasonable prices. Staff was polite and helpful.
This place has a lot of nice stuff. My wife spent too much in here. The place was very organized and have a little bit of everything such as kitchen ware, electronics, stationary, bath and home, and seasonal stuff. The employees were very friendly and helpful when we asked about the price of a product. Also the cashier was friendly.
Love this amazing store. The first DAISO I visited was in Seattle and I am thrilled we are lucky enough to have one here! Been many times since. Great quality for an unreal price on a mass variety of items. A DEFINITE ADDITION TO OUR STORE ERRAND RUNS.
Daiso is the Japanese dollar store. They have basically dollar store stuff, just being manufactured in Japanese esthetic- which is so freaking cute! Literally every little thing will be gorgeous there. They also have craft and office supplies, snacks and sushi/bento supplies, storage items and organizing boxes and pockets. The hello kitty strawberry marshmallow is incredible. Cherry smelling pencils is my new favorite thing for my school. Might be addictive.
A very cool Japanese dollar store. The items are priced in Yen, but they do offer a conversation chart to U.S. dollars.
Soo great! the employees were nice and friendly. it depends on which day you go when everything is stocked. i spent 50+ dollars on so many items! their price range is $1.50-$10
Nice clean store with a lot of useful things for cleaning, crafts, art, and some Japanese foods. The pricing on everything was great. Just payattention to the signage.
Daiso was really nice for browsing, I had spent way too much on these items. They are cheap but good quality! Driving 20 minutes to here was definitely worth it! They sell kitchenware, organizing and storage, accessories, stationary, snacks, and much more!
It was clean and had all sorts of useful items that will not break 2 second after you leave the store.
This place is great. I couldnt stop putting stuff in my basket. Lots of cool inexpensive things. Bring a friend, so she can pull you out of there before you spend rent. 😁
Super cute store! Very neat and well organized. Loads of kawaii stuff, I wanted to buy everything! They have everything from household to office and supplies, kitchen needs and even some food. If you’re like me that loves to explore new things from different countries (especially Asian), then this place is for you! As a way to make people aware I must say, all their sales are final, they don’t do refunds. Their prices are in Yens but they have currency conversion charts around the store (but some items have prices in US dollars too). Definitely a place where you always have to go back and to take your foreign visitors too!
What else can a Nihonophile say, great spot for hard to get Japanese foods & home goods/wares.
Always fun to see what things they have in the store. This time they where reorganizing so there wasn’t as much stock out but it’s fun.
Be careful... :) you will spend more money than intended because you will want to buy everything in the store! I couldnt resist many of their cute items, especially school and stationary stuff. I got something for everyone in my family. Prices were really good but I live far so I took advantage and made a big haul. Definitely worth it. Excited to try the snacks too.
I love this store, buy from them every time I visited California and glad that they open in Houston but just wish that they have more items like the one on katy or California stores.
The store is pretty clean and stocks a lot of cute nicknacks and useful items. The cashier this evening was unfriendly and ignored us, then helped people behind us.
This is a clean and organized discount store. Most of the items are priced at $1.50.
The most mind-blowingly fantastic dollar store ever. An Asian import of cultural significance, it is a good place to maintain Japanese language skills.
I had never been to a Daiso and was hoping to get some snacks here, but they were almost cleared out on the day I went. Other than that, theres a lot of cute Japanese dollar store stuff to sort through. I might come back once they get more snacks in stock.
I came here on a Friday morning, and the shelves seemed pretty empty. Not sure if I happened to come in before they could restock or something. Either way, Ive probably been spoiled by Daiso stores Ive been to in Asia because nothing here really caught my eye. If Im in the area again, Ill stop by, but I wont make a special trip out of it.
Afforable stationary, small art supplies and house goods that makes it good to shop here
Love going here! They have so many items!
Fun Asian dollar store with so many fun things you didnt know you needed!
Nice place. Reminiscent of 100 ¥ stores in Japan. All kinds of cool little things used in Japan. Its fun just to browse. The Staff is a bit uppity instead of friendly.
Dollar store on steroids, if youre into kawaii and Japanese style things.
If you have not been here youre missing out, come with time and money not because its expensive but because theres so many cute things. If you like youre stuff organized they have stuff to help with too. Enjoy your shopping trip.
Asian version of the dollar store, except items here are $1.50 and up. Walked thru the organized aisles and saw unique Japanese kitchen wares, clothing, stationary, household goods. Example: bento boxes with 2 levels, illuminated ear picks, arm sleeve cover ups, double sided lid tapes. Some plastic items arent from Japan though and also may be higher than the Dollar Tree/Dollar Store. You can easily lose track with all the cute items and rack up the bill. Careful as store policy is no refunds or exchanges.
Great store! I love their little trinkets that they have make me feel like Im in Japan
Clean and very well organized store, very reasonable prices.
Checking out is very slow here. The last time I went a store associate rushed me out of her way like she worked in the ER room. I thought that was pretty rude.
They place was the bomb but as of lately, their supplies have been meh at best. Some of the drinks and snacks they are suppose to have are not there or maybe I get there when they are sold out. But four times now... dunno. Other then that everything is nice and affordable. Still shop there time to time.
Smaller of the Daisos Ive been to. It is the Japanese version of the 99 cents store, but a bit more expensive and better quality.
It’s a great shopping place where you can get some quality Japanese stuff with fairly reasonable price! Definitely my favorite store and this shop is nice and clean so I love it!Come and cheers and enjoy shopping 🛍🥳😁🤗😊
Lots of fun and useful items!
My new favorite stop for cute Japanese kitchen items and stationary! Love this place. The organizing section has quite a lot of options!
Came 20 mins before closing and you could hear the irritability and the mans voice upon greeting us and while over the intercom. Yikes but I guess understandable. My bad. Larger than the other store but not as friendly. We, my party, did leave before true closing. We werent THOSE people. Came in, got what we wanted and dipped. The end. Nicer vibes at the smaller store in Katy.
Very clean, many useful items. I love it and I am 70 years old
Japanese/Kawaii store with dollar store prices, most of the items here are $1.50 unless marked with a price lots of cute items and everything is in a dept. For you to shop, they get trucks every week and start putting stuff out, there is another Daiso in Katy but i think the 1 on Westheimer is better personally. They sell a lot of different Japanese items that sometimes you can only get at the Japanese Festival Downtown Enjoy your next trip to Daiso they should have stocked merchandise from this weeks truck so i will be there this weekend to see what is new.. Almost forgot ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!
My first visit to Daiso was very bittersweet. I really enjoyed the selection of cute items they sell. They have everything from party supplies to household items, makeup, craft supplies, and even snacks. Mostly everything was unlabeled in price which usually means it is $1.50. They also have charts to convert into US dollars if it is labeled. I got a great amount of items for less than $50 which was nice. The cons....Nobody was there to limit the amount of people in the store. People were constantly coming within a foot of me. I even had to tell people to move because they were way too close - even if we were not in a pandemic! There needs to be a limit on number of people in the store. Nobody was practicing social distancing. I did see everyone have a mask which was somewhat comforting. But yeah, please have someone at the front to check who comes in.
Went in there last Thursday with a friend to check it out. It must have been a low stock day because there was not a lot of stuff on the shelves, as it shows in the pictures. I didnt get the chance to buy anything yet, but I do know what i will get the next time Im in. Still figuring out the price conversion though. Other than that it is a nice clean, facility and the staff is very attentive and helpful.
Staff are extremely rude, especially the poc guy at the registers. There is one girl that is really sweet and helpful, I did not get her name but I hope that she gets a raise for having excellent customer service. Aside from that they have cute selection of stuff, I just wished they had more snacks.
Very tidy and great prices. I was a little disappointed in the selection of art supplies but I will definitely be returning.
Friendly, fast and cheap! Variety of kawaii things in here. Good finds.
I love this place and they have plenty of Kawaii items. I just wish they had more. Its a very clean well kept store and I love shopping here. I always get rilakkuma notebooks and their plates. I also found Korean style chopsticks the stainless steel ones which I love. The masks are cute and the stationary is perfection. Im so glad they opened on Westheimer. Highly recommend.
Very cheap prices and very cute products!
Its like wish but in a store. Prices from 1 to 10 dollars. I bought some cute deep bowls from here.
Out of stock of a lot of items. for its size it lacks in inventory.
Cheap n my wife loves it almost everything 2 dollars
4 stars only because of the lovely krissy. Came here with my boyfriend and asked the staff about a few of the items. Most rolled their eyes and went away, some even paying me no mind. Krissy, however, introduced herself after I expressed my concerns to Ryan of wanting to leave due to them not being less than friendly. She answered all my questions as best she could and eventually led me to a product that would be suited for my kid sister. Thank you Krissy!
Very Very POOR SERVICE. All staff are very lazy. They were keep talking out loud that they are very hungry, they want to get close on time and kept pushing customers out of the store before the closing time.
Half of the place was completely bare. Idk if it has to do with shipping issues because of covid but the place looked dirty and as if it was going out of business?
Quiet, nice products, but not all of them have prices in dollars just in yens.
Nice overall store and has many items in store to painting supplies to pet items
Love this place. Such a great little piece of fun.
The store was almost completely empty of stock. It looked as if the store was going out of business due to empty shelves. I am used to this being fully stocked and fun to browse.
I love Daiso! They have such simple, everyday items for very low prices. You can find things from cute stationary to clothes and cooking supplies! Everything has suprisingly low prices for great quality items. Also, the cashiers and employees at Daiso have always been so kind and patient. I would highly reccomend going if youre in the area. :)
They had a lot of stuff and cute things, which is nice. A lot of things were indeed a dollar and fifty cents; snacks were really the only thing that had a price on them. I would go again. They didn’t have as much as I thought they did, and there were a TON of people in the store at once, but it was clean, we spent an hour there, got tons of Japanese snacks.:3
Clean store and polite employees. Some days its better stocked than others which makes it a hit or miss depending on what youre looking for.
Nice bright and clean store. Wide range Of products and friendly knowledgeable staff. Easy to find and near access to highway.
Nice Japanese Stuff
I’ve been to a few locations and this has to be the most disappointing. Shelves were bare and the aisles were so closed in you could barely get in and out if you hard a cart. I always look forward to picking up a snack and drink on the way out and they did not have many options of either.
Cute and cheap place
Cute little things in this new store happened to just catch my eye on this place by accident now it is 1 of my favorite stores for kawaii pens and other kawaii items. The was talking to an employee and he told me they get trucks in every monday & Wednesday so by Tuesday & Thursday they try to get all the new different items out, but they stock every day. Everything here is$1.50 so not to bad especially since I heard that fit closed in Chinatown but I have not been there to confirm that but this place is closer to me and cheaper than fit just a little fyi.. just stuff here looks to be quality merchandise, the pens write nice and the service is fast here. But please keep in mind there is NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES: so check your stuff before you leave the store. Store is clean & stocked and everytime I go there I do find new stock put out, thank JOSE for that & crew but good job so far guys keep up the good job & welcome to Wetchase.
I have been coming to this store ever since it opened.I remember that in the first week they did a contest and I won one of the prices ( delicious tea).Love their chocolate section; the white chocolate meiji is my favorite.Their stationary sections is always improving you will want to buy some stickers or eraser. Some of their handkerchiefs are delicated( specially those that are embrodered in tge borders) and you should be careful when washing them ( I use a special bag to wash clothes that i also brought in daiso)Most of the product that I buy here are good; there was just one time that I brought a fountain pen but the ink was not good, it was dry.Good customer attention;I love the music they play, it makes feel so relaxed. Usually I go there for just one thing, but when I noticed, I already went trought all the aisles and got a lot of things in my hands because everything is so cute and I feel peaceful in the shop. The shop has a policy of no refund so be careful with what you buy, this is an important thing to have in mind specially for snacks.
Interesting place. They have a lot of kitchen items that you dont see anywhere else. Definitely worth checking out if you havent before.
Amazing we will be back
I’m a black female, I was followed by an Asian employee the entire time I tried to shop their. And, they’ve priced items higher at the register than what’s on the tags. I won’t be going back.
Its like a dollar store, has cute things, but wasnt stocked up.
Always has fun stuff thats hard to get other places! Of the things you can get in other places, oftentimes you cant beat the design or price that its offered here. A must go if youve never been to one before!
Daiso is japanese dollar tree. Most of the items are cute. It would be preferable if shop provides price in dollars for all items instead of Japanese yen. It makes buying easier. I visited during covid time and mask was worn by both employees and shoppers.. cute masks are also available at this shop.
Nice place good prices very clean store
Cutest Japanese dollar store around town. Worth a visit. Anything that doesnt have a price on it is max $5
I always go here to browse when Im in town. But end up leaving the store with a bunch of trinkets and stuff that Id probably not end up using. Everything is pretty cheap here. You can find anything from decor to household items to even snacks.
Kids stuff, little school supplies not much . But the place is clean .
Immaculately clean, well labeled, and easy to navigate. Couldnt ask for much more! :)
Cute store. Adorable things. Upscale dollar store.
Lots of fun, odds and ends. The best stuff is the afforable and very useful variety of kitchen wares, bowls and cups, little bento boxes, chopsticks, and ingenious items for cooking. Like mini mandolins, graters, riceballers. And the stock rotates quickly so theres always new things to discover making it an adventure everytime.... and the staffs pretty cool too :p
Such a cool place! I was able to find several items I needed at a much better price than other stores.
Clean & organized, though some stock was out! Great prices and practical space saver items. Wish it was closer!
All kinds of things here at great prices! Stationery, kitchenware, cosmetics, snacks, you name it.
We going to Daiso (any of them) for Japanese snacks, coffee, and inexpensive household items. My daughter especially likes the ever changing mini lego-like sets for about $1 each.
Fun to look around in
Very nice! Had alot of cute stuff i bought snacks and stickers
Hey i was wondering if you guys sell any of those cute rilakkuma disposable face masks in this location?
Clean store, price reasonable, except sometimes inventory is very low.
Umnn 4 star because this is the best store to hit Houston. Very cheap very clean, employees are very nice and offer there help.
Love this store, reminds me of the little things I miss about Hawaii.
They always have such a great variety of items for low prices. We love shopping here!!!
