They have a beautiful selection of jewelry. Three years ago, I got both my engagement ring here as well as a custom-order wedding band to match it. They spent the time and effort to track down a very specific stone that (as it turned out) was much more difficult to find than they had anticipated, and made my ring look amazing at a really good price. One child and a pandemic later, and my fingers have changed size. They were accommodating and really helpful with regards to sizing my rings to fit once again, a job that wasn’t as straightforward as one might think given the aforementioned wedding band. They did have to charge me a minimal fee, but the work looks great and I have my wedding rings again. I’m very happy with the outcome. I’m also pleased that they’ve assured me that even after our planned move out of state, they will continue to provide any services needed on my jewelry.As an added bonus, their new location is really nice, clean, and bright.

I purchased a sapphire ring (online) with Danny’s help and had a wonderful experience! The ring was made in-store and is quite high quality, with well selected stones and a high level of gem setting skill. Danny was kind and patient, despite the online only interaction.What attracted me to this company initially was the emphasis on using certified colored gemstones (and, of course, diamonds). Colored gemstones are usually risky to buy from retail jewelry stores as a remarkable number of jewelers (including the big national chains that sell into the luxury market) often don’t bother to (or cannot) show aig, gia, grs or lotus certificates for their stones. Verification of the treatments a stone has received is vital to assessing the value of a colored gemstone. Cut and clarity matter to some extent, as well, but I would not buy a colored gemstone without a well known and accepted third party lab certification of treatments that can affect a gemstones color stability and/or value. Shaftel uses certified colored gemstones and shows the certificates! What a relief! Even if you’ve never read a gemstone report before and don’t care to, it’s important to have one in case you ever need to insure, replace (or resell) the stone.Oh, and these guys are super nice to deal with! Really great people make all the difference. So obvious, yet so rare to find. Highly, highly recommended.

My friend had a very good experience working with them, based on a recommendation we went to them for the engagement ring. We had the wonderful experience with Meagan to design the ring, and Im thankful for that. I took about a month to create it and the wedding band. The problems started a month after my boyfriend proposed. The ring felt down onto the wood floor and the sapphire came off the ring cracked. Sapphires are hard stones, I still dont understand how it can be cracker like that (was there pre-existing weakening or it was extra tension from setting, idk). The Shaftel manager told me that they dont have a warranty on stones, only on the setting. They did offer the replacement stone with great discount though. It took them another two weeks to put a new one in (and it slightly darker in color). They promised (!) to check that other stones are well placed! And guess what? Two weeks after the small diamond got lost, right near the newly replaced stone!! I cant believe it! Even if my ring doesnt cost 10k+, I still expect it to be well made.The people working there are friendly and nice, but I dont have a nice experience with the product from the so far, only disappointment.Ill update about the fix.Update: The ring was fixed in a week at no charge, as written below. This time my fiancee went to the store. He said that everyone was helpful about the fix.Well, you may have the same trouble with a custom rings in any other place. It is just a little bit more overwhelming with engagement.*also, thank you for commenting the reviews - it is very nice

They don’t trick you with any ‘warranties’ like some of the more famous (overly commercialized) jewelry stores as far diamond cleaning frequency goes. It’s whenever you want. I think their marketing is based on client support because I’ve walked in twice and seen coworkers there and it’s not like it’s a big company that’s outwardly advertised. Our experience at Shaftel was nothing less then amazing. Meaghan helped us pick out our engagement rings. She educated us on what we were purchasing. She didn’t try to up-sell us. She wasn’t pushy. We were told about 6 weeks and they would be ready to pick up. However, they were ready for pick up at 5 weeks. This might not happen for everyone. I bought my (now wife)s engagement ring here back in 2015. I walked in with a picture of a ring I knew she liked, and Danny was able to find a band almost exactly like it. He then helped me pick out a diamond in my price range and explained everything about diamonds to me thoroughly. He was very helpful! We came back in 2016 to buy both of our wedding bands. We are very satisfied with both bands as well. If you do not like something about your ring they will do anything and everything to accommodate you and make you feel at home in the process. Even when dropping rings off for cleanings the staff is very nice. I would recommend this place to everyone I know.

The process was so easy and they worked with me to design and then adjust and then adjust again until we all felt great about the final product. Imagine what my fiancé thought at the time. Shaftel replaced the diamonds. Fast forward today, another diamond randomly falls off. Quality of product is not a priority here.

Im very happy with the purchase of my Engagement ring and the service that Shaftel was able to provide me. First off, I was a diamond novice and did not know where to begin. Danny took his time and was very patient with me throughout this whole process. He took his time on explaining and answering any questions I had, and trust me, I had plenty to ask. I brought my engagement ring, wedding ring, and husbands band to get polished and have all the prongs tightened. I believe they perform these services complimentary once yearly as long as you purchased it from them. It took one week to complete since theyre pretty busy. All our bands were pretty scratched up since we wear them to the gym sometimes, and my engagement ring diamond was looking so dull. The rings came back ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! With platinum, it can be difficult to make it look brand new, but my husband didnt even recognize his ring because everything was so shiny and scratch-free. They also custom design any jewelry you want at reasonable prices, such as my rose gold wedding ring. Definitely recommend Shaftel!

Danny and his staff were great at showing me what I was looking for. They were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They showed me 3 diamonds to pick from and several nice mountings. We went with a custom mounting, which they are currently making. Would highly recommend to anyone !!
