They have a large selection of painter’s supplies for the beginner and the experienced. I gave two stars because my experience with the staff working yesterday morning wasn’t pleasant. My friend who accompanied me was ignored when asking for help several times. We seemed to be followed and watched as if we were going to steal. I see now that a couple others in these reviews have shared this experience.We left without buying anything because it became so uncomfortable. It was upsetting to see how we were treated and how our morals were prejudged based on appearances, I suppose. We have money and are working artists. It was insulting to be treated as such. We definitely will not return to this location again.

This place is amazing! They have an excellent selection of materials for all ages and for every style of art. Beyond that the building is well organized with good parking, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will be able to help with whatever you need...beginner all the way to professional. Highly recommend.

Great selection of art materials! For beginners as well as the pros. I always find exactly what Im looking for and the variety is really quite remarkable. You can purchase great quality for a reasonable price. I have been going here for years and will continue to do so. By years I mean 46 of them. Also, the staff is friendly, polite, and extremely knowledgeable. If they are unable to help you out for some reason, they are always open to steering you in the right direction. If that means sending you to a competitor, so be it.

I bought 4 sketchbooks and 3 gel pens for $21! I could spend hours in here looking around. The staff is friendly.

I have loved this store for the longest time. They have a wide selection and they carry some of the best brands for all kinds of art and crafts. The only thing I would warn other consumers about, is if you buy loose pens (outside of the packaging) that people can test before they buy, they dry out really quickly. Other than that, it is really wonderful that you can get a good look at the product before you buy.

First time visit during tax free weekend. Service was okay. I spent alot of time walking around and I felt followed by employees. But prices were fair and they have a great selection on items.

Usually great service here but I feel like its been getting more careless lately?? Bought a bunch of art supplies today but when I was ringing them up, I told the cashier to put back a conte set of 12 ($20) and he did, but when I got home I realized I was still charged for it even though I asked him to put it back for me. Now I cant even ask for a refund because I dont have the item.

I love this place! My son is a graphic design major. The people in this store are super helpful and knowledgeable when I come in with a list of supplies for my son and have no idea what I should be looking for. The store always has everything I need so need to run all over the place looking for stuff.

Highly recommend for art supply shoppers because they have more than what you will find at craft stores. Excellent source of supplies and folks who know about art. However, not a good place to work. I only worked there a short time, and I was let go via text. I had know idea that there were problems. I had been very fourth right and honest about my disabilities, and that I work with a job coach, and vocational counselor. The management and higher ups lead me to believe they understood, and were able to work with me. The areas that they felt I was struggling, the only trained me one day for each area which is not realistic for anyone. When my job coach tried to communicate with them, and try to get feedback before and after being fired. they never responded. Which to me speaks volumes that the higher ups didnt want to deal with me, staff were not able to work with folks with disabilities, and they didnt have the cuts to admit it. They did not give me a real chance.

Omg this place rocks!! I think this store has every single thing for art that I have ever wanted and a lot of things I had never even seen before. You gotta check this place out and make sure you give yourself a lot of extra time to browse around because its packed full of interesting things. I lost 2 hrs when I walked inside today

Love wandering the aisles here. I can use coupons to get general supplies at Michaels or Hobby Lobby, but for the serious stuff, this is it! Bought a simple watercolor brush set that should be all I need.The manager gave me a tip. She said I should not mix my brushes used for watercolor with brushes used for acrylic painting. It may say for watercolor and acrylic, but use it for one OR the other. No matter how thoroughly brushes for acrylic painting are cleaned, in time they will collect residue that would affect watercoloring.Texas Art Supply also has many types of metallic markers. The fine point I wanted was here. Plan to go back to wander so more another time, have to pace myself. Have my eyes on three (quite a bit more expensive) Princeton brushes for acrylic painting!

This was an amazing idea.

As an artist I have visited this location more times than I can ever remember. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all in stock products. If they dont have it they are quick to check the other locations for you and arrange delivery or pickup. I like this location in that it never feels as chaotic as the Montrose location ( though love that location too!) Lots of easy and available parking. They are also great about letting our fur babies shop with us.

I stopped in to buy my daughter a gift card for Christmas! I was immediately overwhelmed (in a good way) upon entering the store. They have quite a huge variety of art related items/products! Not great at all. Asked for help with art supplies as gifts for my niece. No one helped. I asked again and the young lady seemed overwhelmed by herself. A gentleman came up and started helping other guests, when she asked him to help us he said I guess. I had been waiting patiently for help but he seemed perturbed for helping. Going to a different art supply store.

I always enjoy my visits here! There are so many craft projects and supplies for whatever new project you may enjoy! Lots of gel pens and other mediums. Adult coloring books, canvases and paint for amateurs and professionals. I found erasable pens and a really nice hard cover journal! Always a good experience and good finds here!

Great spot for picking up art supplies for all artists of many different mediums. Very helpful staff, that can help you with ideas for how to tackle your projects. This place is big, so if you are looking for something specific; best ask for help locating your item. Otherwise go through the isles and maybe some new inspiration may strike.

Staff is super knowledgeable and always friendly, lots of help offers 👍🏽 They have most of what I need and what they dont carry (which is pretty rare) are things that I wouldnt expect to be easily stocked at most places. I enjoy this art store, I feel like customer service here has been great! I do admit as an artist I do wish there were more paint options on spray paint and other materials or better offers too. Over all it is expected for an art supply store to be this way could have better assortment, but for the location its great to have one.

This store has a vast array of craft and Art supplies. Mostly likely you can find what ever it is you are looking for. The 4 star is because the staff isnt always as helpful as they could be. In the mass amount of small items on a shelf, sometimes it can be hard to find exactly what you are looking for. Its great when the associates can and are willing to help.

My budding artist 11 year old niece and I could stay here all day! We went 3 times together. This place has EVERYTHING. Staff is very nice. Prices are fair, some items slightly above online prices, some below. Be careful... its very easy to spend way more than you initially planned, especially if you take an 11 year old and let them walk the cart up and down each aisle

This place has never let me down, for when I need to start and finish off a drawing project. Like today for example I needed a art pencil in burnt orange (or as close as I could get) I found a pencil and a marker. They saved the day again. I bought individuals ($6 )instead of having to buy a whole box set that costs over $100...

We walked in ten minutes before closing and got greeted with a smile and helpful staff. Their selection is always great. I could happily spend a couple of hours working my way through the aisles. Its their customer service that makes them my go-to, though.

Staff is so nice and helpful. Selection is out of this world, to the point where a non-artist like me was overwhelmed. Only got to browse through half the store and still felt this way. Testers for pens are clearly marked so I like that aspect of quality control too. Lots of brushes for all needs! Got some nice synthetic oval watercolor ones Im excited to do some blending with.

Went for the first time and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Store is really clean and offers a huge variety of items everything from different types of paint to a large variety of pens and craft supplies. They even had more to offer than Michales and prices are on average a little cheaper as well, will definitely be back!

I customize sneakers and this place gave me more options all across the board with texture and colors and everything art.Well went back to this awesome store. And just left feeling prejudged because the color of my skin. I butwanted to get some more paints but left after a few purchases because I can tell I was being swarmed by the workers following and watching me. Im no crook, and not broke. I dont steal. I will return to get some more later. Maybe third times the charm where I could be treated like a normal person. I took it down another star to three. Only because of stereotypical assumptions.

I am just an Uber driver, but I take a lot of artist here from inside the loop. I know they have everything. Looks like a really nice shop. I can say this its the biggest one of its kind in Houston.

Best prices in town. Most selection of specific supplies. We can find a 5x7 landscape ring bond multi media sketch book here and no where else. They also do programs and events on the weekend. Very knowledgeable staff and helpful. Our favorite art supply hands down.

I keep forgetting about this place, as a cosplayer it is great for finding little things you cant find at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. And it is also great for back to school items that are out of stock at other places. My Daughter loves this location when she comes to visit she stocks up on art supplies.

I sometimes end up buying more than I need.The staff is very knowledgeable about their products and quite friendly.You can approach any of the employees and theyll usually be happy to help you out with most anything you need.And if not, theyll usually find someone to try and help you out and not try to BS you to buy some bogus product.
