Their coconut cake with the glaze is incredible. Subtle and sweet. Ive gone back a few times in Houston and always happy to support a Black owned business. I went before the rebrand but Im sure it doesnt matter.

If you want a special cake design, don’t order from here. The cake wasn’t ready at promised time and looked NOTHING like the pictures I provided. The cake was ready 15 mins prior to store closure time and I was asked if I wanted cake to be fixed. How?! My 10 year old daughter could have designed a better cake.This was for a birthday celebration and we were already running late for dinner reservations. I was absolutely embarrassed to present this cake at large dinner gathering. The flavor was sub par and very comparable to box cake. Don’t waste your money!

Amazing! Ordered through Doordash! My order came wrapped up tightly ready for my to enjoy with forks and napkins! Everything looked and was so good! The sweet potato pie was delicious! The divine cake, sock it to me and strawberry cake were all moist and yummy! Dry where? This bakery cakes tastes like something your mama or grandmother would bake. I enjoyed them all!

The Pecan pie was delicious! The German Chocolate was a bit to sweet but still really good. My first time here and it didn’t disappoint so far.

Ordered a Pineapple Upside Down Cake for my brothers birthday. It is his favorite type of cake and we were hoping it would taste as good as the ones we grew up on. I can assure you, it did not disappoint. Not only was it delicious, it was esthetically pleasing. One of the most beautiful cakes Ive ever seen; almost hated to cut into it. The location was easy to get to and they brought it to my car ON TIME!!! Im looking forward to ordering something else from here in the near future.

I tried to do business with them a year ago by purchasing a birthday cake. I never had their food but a foodie friend recommended them. I paid in full upon ordering day 1 about 430pm and requested a cancelation within 24hrs and  they refused a full refund due to it beung outside of the 24hrs by 5mins. I pulled receipts and I wasnt and they still refused. I remember ending the phone call unsatisfied because 3 women had pulled tricks and stolen my time and money giving me half in cashapp and the other in form of a store credit. Since I have credit this year I was using it to purchase a small engagement cake. I was called at 10am asking if the pickup time could be pushed back 2hrs because of a shortage of strawberries and they were out looking for some. Strawberries were in every grocery store I visited that weekend. Im sure the response would be that they use a special kind of strawberry.  Also, they Couldnt deliver the cake to me because of being short staffed. I wasnt able to call back for a few hours and they still havent gotten any strawberries therefore my cake would have been even later.Twice this establishment has disappointed me. I can not recommend Ms. Myrtle /not jus donuts. At this point I feel like its a soap opera. Terrible experiences and I dont believe Ill ever have a great one.

Had a the wonderful experience of trying a graduation cake yesterday and it was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. The cake was moist, buttery, decorations on point. I’ve found my new baker and working on my next order now. Thanks snd highly recommended!!!!

Id give six stars, if I could. We needed something to treat the chorus, orchestra, and crew on the opening night of our show... and to match the theme of the show, we needed some pretty specific colors. Having never ordered from this business before, I placed the order over the phone and just hoped for the best.Oh my gracious, did they come through! 480 cake balls in hot pink and turquoise, with gold sparkles... it looked like the cake-ball version of the designer, and tasted great as well! Despite surprise major renovations by the building management, they were able to exceed our expectations. Will DEFINITELY order from them again!

I really wanted to love this place. The kids and i were very excited to have tasty desserts close by. I ordered banana pudding (bannanas were black, cookies were mush), i also ordered 6 mini bunt cakes, 2 all chocolate, 1 white cake with chocolate cream, 2 strawberry, and 1 german chocolate. They were all so dry everyone only ate about 2 bites max and was done. I felt like it was such a waste. Like i said i really wanted to like this place. Its possible i accidently got old cakes? Either way today wasnt a win for us.

Fun little local bakery with the nicest people and they have a layaway cake plan which really helped us since we were on a budget. Seriously, this is the best cake I have ever had and they delivered to our wedding free of charge!!! I love you Not Jus’ Donuts! You made our wedding extra magical.

They have really decadent selections from cakes, to cookies, cupcakes, and cheesecake! I love the mini lemon bundt cake. It was extremely rich. Made my stomach hurt. Ill have to request a cake with light sugar. I dont know if they even have a sugar-free option. Theyre good though.

Love the strawberry, lemon, heavenly butter bundt cakes and tea cakes but the billionaire cake is my favorite. I wish I could give 10 stars.

I am truly disappointed in my experience with a bakery we patronized and loved for many years. After trying multiple bakeries for our wedding cake, we decided to support this community staple and black owned establishment. The cake was paid for months in advance. Not only was the cake an hour and a half late for the wedding, leaning when set up on the table, and somewhat dry taste wise, it was also not the color or design we ordered. I was obviously livid and shocked. I reached out to the bakery the next day (even while traveling for our honeymoon because I was so upset by it) and did not receive a response for almost a month. When I did get a follow-up email, it said that they were short staffed and someone would get back to me in 2 days (this was Nov 21st...our wedding was in mid-October). I still have yet to hear from a single person in management or the owners! As much as I try to support businesses like these, it is experiences like this that keep me from doing so. Even though I have gotten cakes from this establishment for 20 years, I cannot recommend this business and they have lost me as a customer.

I have to say Not Jus Donuts use to be the place to run to but not anymore. The cakes have hit an all time low and a sense of thirst is essential in a different aspect. The cakes need oil, butter or buttermilk because they are now dry and nasty a$ hell. I spent hundreds of dollars for birthday cakes for my kids for many years but no longer will I give them a penny or a essence of my time. These people need to go back to the drawing board and give us what were use to.

Went for a cake tasting for our wedding cake. Damn good cake! We tried Red Velvet, Lemon, Vanilla & Butter cake. OMG... the #ButterCake 😋😋😋Most DEFINITELY recommend!

Great variety of donuts. Everything tastes AMAZINGLY GOOD! Try to go either really early or really late or else youll be waiting for a while in line.Super friendly staff. Their donuts are great, creative, fun, and delicious! And not to mention the prices for a dozen of specialty donuts is unbeatable and awesome!!

We have bought 2 wedding cakes 4 baptisms, too many birthdays to count, A grooms cake a graduation cake and now a Quince cake!! We have used other cake places for a few occasions only to be disappointed this truly is the best cake place in Houston/Galveston! They are always friendly and professional! However they still make you feel like family!!!

Ordered a baby shower cake that had a pick up time of 3 pm 12/7/2019. After I was already there they called me asking me to go run errands and come back. I waited and waited and they asked me to come back the next day because they weren’t able to finish which was extremely inconvenient because I live 40 mins away from the bakery! The cake still wasn’t ready the following the day at the agreed time and the cake was poorly made. It had lumps in it and it also had places on the cake where it looked like the fondant was scrunched together. I took pictures and i emailed them and i have yet to hear from them.Overall I had a terrible first experience and I’m sharing it with as many people as I can so they won’t have To experience the same disappointment. I will say these folks are very nice and make good on their word. There was a mishap with my wedding cake, but the team went above and beyond to make it right. The cake and desserts are very good, they also have great customer service. Thank you Andrea and Krislyn for the communication and doing what y’all could to make the situation right. I went in on the 24th and bought 2 heavenly butter mini bundt cakes, 1 billionaire and 2 slices of pound cake. The pound cake was ok but everything else was dry. I was very disappointed

My cookies, cake pops and cake balls were not edible (they were pretty) due to the bitter icing (the school colors were maroon and gray). I wondered why at the end of the party they were still there. My husband ordered a butter cake with fresh strawberries inside. The cake we received was a dry butter cake with what taste like Strawberry Preserves spread on the inside. The only thing that was missing was the peanut butter for a pbj to go with the strawberry preserves that literally oozed out of the cake. It was very runny. Please stick to the slice cake if you place an order.Happy Birthday to me!!!This is in response to what your response was... I did in fact state to you that the cake was dry along with my other complaint, and that we were not going to eat it. Your response was I apologize, but we made the cake the way it was ordered not once did you ever ask to make it right.You stated that the situation was handled but i disagree, I gave you the opportunity to handle it and you did not thats why i wrote my review. You basically said oh well. Also red was requested in person to be used to decorate the cake and when the day came to pick up the cake yellow was used on the cake and you all had to redecorate. My husband waited 30 mins while youll fixed the cake. So it seems to me that the filling was not the only thing that was forgotten and the color was written on the order form. We did not even eat the cake we ended up giving it away and that we could not give away we threw away.

Next time Ill be back with my coworkers. The prices are fair for the quality of food.

We stopped in to support this business after coming across them looking for a bakery and I love to support our own. After trying SR (name withheld) they were tooooo sweet for us. Not Jus Dounts is perfectly balanced. I highly recomend the Billionaire cake it has a billionaire flavor. I know real banana pudding so I gave theirs a try and it is pretty close to how grandma use to make. We will be returning for something delicious very soon.

Bought the small german chocolate cake today and it was dry(upon site you could tell) and missing that familiar german chocolate buttermilk flavor I love. It was covered in the coconut pecan frosting though wish that was enough. I still want to try the peach cobbler on a Thursday and pray its worth my 40 min drive.

This a family owned business that has THE GREATEST CAKES IN HOUSTON, however they have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and THEY DONT CARE about the customer at all. They say you get what you pay for, but when dealing with them, that is not the case. When it happened the first time, you know I was very understanding everybody has one of those days, but when I plan an event not once, not twice, but three different occasions and the cake is NEVER READY on time, and you wont even say your sorry or discount for the inconvenience to keep a customer. Its time for me to move on. Ive referred several co-workers and the same thing. So please keep in mind that if you need your cake on a Friday or Saturday its sad to say but you better shcudule the pick up 6 hours prior to the start of your event and delivery doesnt make a difference because they will arrive in the middle of your event the cake (IT HAS HAPPENED). I try and support businesses ran by my people, yet this is a prime example as to why they go under.signed,A FORMER NOT JUST DONUTS CUSTOMER
