The team did a great job! My floors look awesome - we did tile that looks like wood in the living room, foyer, front room, and stairs - and it turned out beautiful. Price was very reasonable as well, and super transparent of exactly what went into the quote. The team of contractors were in our house for four days, which was honestly faster than they originally expected.I will say don’t be afraid to ask questions or get clarification - this was my first time doing something like this, and I didn’t always feel like I got a proactive explanation of what was going to happen (maybe because it’s all new to me). But I asked a lot of questions, and felt super comfortable with the answers. (Even if it’s just - “walk me through what’s going to happen next.”) The team was great.I asked about covid protocol and was informed that the contractors were all vaccinated, which made me feel good. They offered to have the team also wear masks if I wanted (since they were vaccinated I told them I was ok without it - especially with all the manual labor they were doing).Would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I had runners installed on top of my bare hardwood stairs. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! They were professional and courteous from sales to installation to follow-up. I got design help from the friendly sales rep who came to my house - he measured my stairs and provided quotes for each type of carpet I was considering. The quote was EXACTLY what I paid, there were no hidden fees, pricing was very transparent. The installation professionals were just that -- professional! They installed three sets of runners in one day and probably left my house cleaner than it was when they arrived. Im happy with the results, the runners look incredible and I get compliments on them from everyone.

I have seldom been so impressed with a company as I was with Floor Coverings International Houston Heights. I wanted to remove the carpet in my bedroom and replace it with wood flooring. From my first contact with the salesperson to when the project was completed, this was a most satisfactory experience. The salesperson was professional, accommodating, helpful, and especially patient as he had to deal with my unending indecisiveness. It was not easy to choose the right color and tone, and I kept changing my mind. A highly skilled crew did a flawless installation and - to my surprise- the owner himself stopped by later that day to check on the job and to make sure I was completely satisfied. I recently worked with Chris White at Floor Coverings International Houston Heights (FCIHH) to replace old peel and stick vinyl tiles with brand new tile, and it was such an awesome transformation of my dining room, kitchen and den. Chris and FCIHH were super professional, punctual and did a wonderful job helping me figure out what tile would work best with other design choices I was making, and I couldnt be happier with how everything turned out. Ill be recommending FCIHH to any and all of my friends that have any interest in re-doing their floors.

Reinel was able to help me find laminate flooring in a color similar to my existing wood floors -- the mobile showroom and having samples to compare at the house was a huge benefit. Reinel and Oscar were easy to get in touch with, answered my questions, and properly wore masks anytime they were in my house which was much appreciated. The team who came to remove the carpet and install the floors did a nice job on the installation, but they took their masks off the minute I stepped away, a can of something spilled out of their van which left a stain on the driveway, and there was a bit of a mess in my backyard from where mixing the material to level the floor seems to have splashed/spilled. Overall, the project turned out well and I would be comfortable working with Reinel if any issues come up or if I have other flooring needs in the future.

From my first call to FCI, sales rep Chris visit to thoroughly explain everything, installation, painting and a final walk through by Chris this was the most pleasant experience I have ever had with a remodel/contractor. The timeline was seamless. FCI appeared at the designated time, moved the refrigerator with a dolly, and covered up the walls to protect against dust. The floors look beautiful, and Chris returned to examine the work. This company caters to their client and understands customer service. I just had my kitchen floor replaced after the air conditioning pan ran over and flooded an area in my kitchen. Reinel Solano came out measured ordered what I needed for the job. I had a wonderful experience working with Floor Coverings to get my carpet replaced in my house. Reinel came over during a weekend to give me an estimate and show me samples, my wife was really pleased because she was able to see the samples at home in the light of the house and next to our furniture and walls so she was able to make the best possible decision. After I accepted the proposal, we agreed on a tentative date in about a week and the following Saturday they were ready to do the work, they completed it in about six hours and all the people who came were very professional and did a good quality work. I liked that they kept their work area very clean and they were careful with all of our things. On Monday, November 25, Chris came to my house to give me an estimate to install a stair runner. I asked for two samples to make a decision between the two very small swatches. It is now Monday, January 20 and not only did I never receive my samples, Chris did not follow up with me unless I contacted him first. He told me that there was a back-up due to the Holiday. My advice is if you want carpet look elsewhere, especially if your job is not big enough to warrant anyones attention. I even called the company because I thought he might no longer work for the company, but he remained an employee. Im pretty sure no cares that I did not get samples or that my job is going to another company.

This is the second time using Reinel and Floor Coverings International. Hardwood floors installed in two rooms. The old Cork floors had to be removed which was a nightmare job perform effortlessly by the crew. The kitchen floor refinished look great. I cant imagine the installation quality and workmanship being better! Everyone arrived when promised and treated me and my house with respect. This Old House needed a lot of TLC and the quality of life has improved tremendously. We would definitely use them again.

I wanted to do the replacement of the original carpet of my house on the stairs and second floor corridors but I am glad for having made the right decision in having this work on hands of Floor Coverings International. Reinel was a great advisor! He went throughout a full explanation of the process, he showed us the different flooring options and the most important: he offered us different payment options too!We chose the hardwood for the stairs with a solid oak but the amazing work was to make the right adjustment of the color which is exactly to the Shawn’s hardwood for the first and second floor.The work took a bit longer but we fully understood because when he brought the first lot of hardwood for the second floor, it was not matching with the one in first floor so the shipping time back and forward with sample and final chosen lot took us a 10 days delay.Rafael who was the installer, he is a flooring expert and artist with hardwood styles. His dedication was impressive and the work was done until fulfilling our satisfaction.... I would say, his work over-exceeded our expectations!I am planning to continue working with this amazing team for the next areas to replace flooring on my house so I fully recommend it you if you are planning to do an important investment in your home!

I bought a new home, the “brand new” wood floor was not of good quality, even though I know nothing about floors, you could tell just by stepping on it or looking at it. Decided to contact Floor Coverings International in Houston area (inside the loop), asked for an expert opinion and an estimate. Mr Solano was in charge, he took the time to go over details of wood flooring, instructed us on all about wood flooring, we then concluded that our original floor was very poor quality, the pricing was very convenient and went ahead and changed the entire floor. We cannot describe how thankful we are with this company, so glad we did it, we absolutely love this new flooring, it adds up so much to the contemporary style of our new home, the finishing was just perfect, we LOVED IT !!. These guys are super professional, they did the job very rapidly (record time) so that we could still move in on time. Im an investor so price and quality are both important to me when I make selections for my properties. FCI did an outstanding job from start to finish. I was very satisfied with the finished product.

The actual carpet install was fine, which is why I gave them 3 stars. As part of the deal, they were to move the furniture out and then replace it in the room. But they brought no tools, so I got to disassemble and move the crib after work. And then, since the salesperson did not show up for the install, I got several texts a day, while I was out of town, for the final payment. I understand they wanted to be paid, I wish they had shown the same diligence showing up for the install that they did stalking me for payment. The sales pitch is a little heavy handed and the follow-through was poor. But the carpet looks fine

I guess maybe its just me, but I didnt appreciate the sales pitch. Yes, your company is great, but I wanted to cut to the chase and get my quote. He literally would not skip the presentation when I asked him to.

Project: residential; 90 sq ft bathroom mortar bed and tile install (walls and floor approx. 270 sq ft). My experience with Floor Coverings was by far the best out of every contractor I’ve worked with. Some of the highlights:1) Everyone was on time – Salesperson, Chris, scheduled a meeting time at my house and arrived on time as promised. Start time was consistent through the entire week of work. The project manager, Rick, always gave me a heads up if anything changed.2) Detailed itemized quote – The quote was very high tech. All geometry and info went into an iPad and everything was broken out based on the exact work required. For my job, everything was already prep’d for tiling and material was already purchased. All that was needed was a mortar bed and installing tile. Chris was able to remove specific materials from the quote that I had already purchased. Everything was very transparent.3) Great communication –Rick (project manager) and Rolando (installer) put up the tiles exactly as the sketches I provided them. Rick called if there were any issues during the day, and gave me an update of the work at the end of each day, which I greatly appreciate.4) Amazing quality and craftmanship – Rolando was excellent. The tiles were laid out perfectly without any awkward small pieces at corners. All the pieces were laid flat, square, and plumb. Grout lines look straight and even.5) Offered final walk-through with owner before payment – At completion, the owner, Reinel, called to schedule a final walkthrough before the full payment was made. Very thorough procedures and customer service.Even though it was a tiny bathroom project (90 sq ft), I felt that Floor Coverings gave me the same attention and customer service as their much, much larger projects. I’m extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to work with you guys.
