I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Sterling McCall Collision Center! Luis was super friendly, informative, helpful, and timely! I was on a very tight timeline of getting my car repaired between school drop off and pick up and he went above and beyond to make it happen. He kept me informed about the status of the new bumper he ordered for my damaged 2021 Yukon XL Denali, had the new bumper painted a day ahead of when I was scheduled to bring my car in, and had it installed in less than three hours, which allowed me plenty of time to pick my kids up from school. Also, the front desk receptionist was super kind and accommodating while I waited. I highly recommend Luis and Sterling McCall Collision Center and will definitely use them in the future if the need arises!

I had a minor dent repaired here on my new GMC. I stopped in for an estimate without an appointment and was able to get an estimate in 10 minutes. I thought it was a fair price, so I asked if I could leave it. They said yes, and in 3 days I got it back flawless. Good communication (daily) by text message too. This is a reliable collision center, and Ill be back here if I need body work.

I had my car delivered to Stephen Hunter at Sterling and received professional and concerned service throughout the entire process. Stephen never tired of taking my check in calls for updates and kept me informed on the progress and expected completion time. The office manager at the front desk is a well mannered and patient young man whom I appreciate since i was all over the place in terms of requests and questions. I didn’t use my own insurance for this repair but upon inquiry they were highly recommended by the Adjustor I spoke with.Praying I NEVER need the services again but if I do I’m calling Sterling then my insurance. Thanks everyone to include my repair technician. You never meet these guys or girls but they did the most awesome job.

I dropped my car for front bumper replacement after a collision . Car got it back a week after originally estimated. That’s not an issue at all.However, when Sterling McCall called me to pick up the car,These were the problems I noticed;1. Turn signal lights were criss crossed. (When turn left, right side work, and vice versa.2. Air conditioner not working ( was working when dropped off)First issue they fixed after I pointed out. Then the A/C problem they denied to look at it and refused to repair, stating that they did not touch A/c.. Asked me to call insurance to get another supplemental request.After insurance, permission, Sterling McCall looked at it and stated, A/C compressor is bad which they did not touch it.Finally I had to take the car to another Lexus dealership on the same day. West side Lexus found the problem in their basic diagnostic.The problem was, when Sterling McCall Collision center removed the bumper, disconnected the “A/C pressure sensor” cable and tucked behind the headlight without reconnecting.Reported to Michael Berry the Sterling McCall estimator and Manager through email with the report about my experience. NO RESPONSE at all...My suggestion to the customers, please check your vehicle thoroughly before pick up.Sorry, to write my bad experience. Hopefully this will help others in the future.
I was having some minor issues with my front bumper, so I took it by here to show them the problem and to get an estimate. Steven was super friendly and did a great job explaining what was causing the issues and what would need to be done to get it fixed. He and the techs were able to quickly resolve part of my bumper that was disconnecting. I will definitely recommend and come back to this body shop for future issues. Thanks!
First of all, you probably dont want to be at a collision center but if you have to be due to a recent car accident then I highly recommend going to Sterling McCall Collision Center. First and foremost I really hope that your adviser is Walter. He was absolutely amazing. Extremely professional very courteous, he explained everything in detail he followed up with a phone call, he took care of everything down to the very little details. Probably the nicest employee that Ive ever worked with in any aspect of the Auto industry. This guys definitely going to go places. Anyways back to the Collision Center, they are absolutely amazing the car looks better now than did prior to the accident. Very professional, the whole process was a little too smooth. It was amazing.

I took my car to this dealership and was a horrible nightmare. Shelby Cantu, our service writer was unresponsive, and rude. The body shop had my car for 4 months. They gave us a expected date of when the car will be done and it has exceeded with excuses and lies. When I call, it always goes to voicemail. The interior of the car still smells like mold and they cut corners leaving the customer to question their quality of service and workmanship. For a place that is a Lexus service dealership, they play games and tell you lies. I would avoid this place at all costs. I don’t want anyone to go through what we have been through. Avoid this place and take your car somewhere else! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Having to take your car into a collision center is never going to be fun, but working with Shelby made the experience as easy and painless as possible! From the very beginning, Shelby was extremely kind, helpful, and compassionate. She worked with me and my insurance to find the best solution possible and walked me through every step of the way. She kept in constant communication while my car was being worked on and quickly updated me if there were further developments or concerns. I can tell she genuinely cared and wanted to make things easy for me, and she did! Just absolutely outstanding customer service from start to finish!
Our car was wrecked on October 9, 2020 (minor damage to rear-end only, not extensive at all). We immediately called this place, thinking they would be the best to take care of our vehicle. Our vehicle is now not going to be ready until early-January, THREE MONTHS LATER, due to a series of delays and inconsistent communication. Do not use this place if you value getting your car back in a reasonable time. Since we have not had access to our car for this period of time, we have lost nearly $1,000 in having to use hotel fees for 3 mandatory trips for our son to see family we would have otherwise used our camper for but could not tow it with the rental. A little delay is understandable, but THREE MONTHS is insane, and the reasons for delay are not being clearly communicated to us at all. We were also told they might Total the vehicle, which was a complete surprise to us and completely unnecessary information as it was not true and caused undue stress. In summary, the communication here is sub-par, and the time delays are insidious.
Unfortunately I had to bring my car to be repaired twice within the last two years, but Casey with Sterling McCall Collision is so nice and makes the process so easy! Both times my vehicle was repaired perfectly and returned cleaner than it was left. Casey made sure to update me on the status and move things along quickly. Repairing your vehicle is never enjoyable, but he made it the experience the best it could be. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I’ve used them before but honestly, the tech that put my New grill on didn’t see the 2 obvious scratches and wanted to pass it on like it was ok. I’m disappointed that I had to tell them this. Where was the Quality Review. Take pride in your work. I had to come back later in the day and have the “New Part” put on again. This was totally uncalled for.
Had my car serviced here after a minor wreck almost a year ago and was very happy with the service. The staff were knowledgeable and quick with handling the insurance, and gave me regular updates on the status of the repairs. When I got the car back it looked better than new and had been cleaned inside and out. Even the cup holders had been scrubbed clean!

I wish I would of read some of these reviews below before I went. Even my warranty company says I should of never gone there. Liars, they have given me the run around. They have worked on my vehicle twice and it still broke down again less than 6 months all this happen.

My experience with this establishment was horrible! They were not professional at all...liars and they try to rip people off! They wanted the supplement payment for the repairs BEFORE they even started the work. Who does that? I’m glad we were smart to hold on to that check because the experience was just terrible. They fixed my car before they even got approved for TWO extra supplements from the insurance company. As a result, they held my car hostage until they received a payment from the insurance company and then when we did pick the car up after it being held weeks...the paint DID NOT MATCH! So I had to wait additional days for them to fix this problem! It was such a sad, stressful experience on top of everything going on with Covid. Will never go back there again!

The worst experience, I thought a huge Collision center like this will do better job than any other small business, but i was totally wrong, Paint Job was horrible, horrible we left the truck 3 times till they got it ok. Casey with the Collision department was absolutely fantastic, he took care of everything that needed to get done on my car from hail damage (which takes extra time in places like Houston where hail rarely occurs). My sister’s car was at their area for well over three months. I recognize that the insurance may have been a problem. But what was not good is no one would return her phone calls and give them any updates on the repair. Then they finally get to pick up the car and it’s filthy - grease all over the seats dents - locks don’t work. Do not go there.The sad thing is my sister was in the hospital with horrible medical condition and her family was left without any transportation during this time

2/12 UPDATE: Going to make a list of sorts versus paragraph:- TOTAL DAYS IN SHOP = 45- emailed the manager the day after he replied to the post and never got a response- walked in the following Wednesday to drop my car off and it wasnt ready until the following Monday. The service advisory told me all issues were fixed; I got there and only the door was fixed-tested the headlights over the next 2 days; they were actually worse and on the edge of being unsafe to transit at night.-went back and into the collision supervisors office; she took my car straight in at the shop and was able to finally rectify the situation.Overall, it seems that the source of my problems was the apparent lack of communication on the part of Sterling. The only reason I raised my review from 1 to 2 stars is because after the third time the manager was able to fix the problem and the final fit and finish of everything.ORIGINAL POST:I had my car at Sterling McCall for a front bumper and passenger quarter panel/door collision repair for over 30 days. Getting accurate updates was like pulling teeth. Every week, like clockwork, it was supposed to be done at the end of this week or early next.Upon picking the car up it looked great at first glance; the fit and finish were superb. I was truly impressed, they even detailed the car!Unfortunately, over the next 24 hours, I discovered a few issues: the passenger door no longer opened from the inside, the new headlights were not aimed properly(it looks like a stairstep at night), a few body clips and a bumper support were missing, and the bottom trim was not put on in a flush manner.Thankfully they do guarantee their work and I will take it in next week when I have time. When I contacted the original adviser she seemed very hesitant/reluctant to have me come back and was not encouraging at all. Hopefully they will back their guarantee and stand behind the work but it seems unlikely.Will update this post with how the situation was handled and the quality of repairs.Currently, if asked I would not recommend this body shop at all and would advise all to choose an alternate option.

In the small amount of interaction I have had to have, with the collision department, I have nothing but good remarks. The service manager is very busy but still took time to see if I was taken care of. The service corrdinator that i delt with was extremely polite and educated. I have only had a small encounter with the collision/service department but they have made that portion of my Ford experience a pleasant one. The rest of that dealership need to take lessons on customer service from the service manager and his team.
Fast service. Actually, too fast. Be ready to make decisions because these guys do not screw around. High quality finish, reasonable price, extremely fast turnaround.
Very inefficient process. Dropped my truck to have new tailgate installed and they kept it around three weeks. I would think they could order a new tailgate paint it and then call me to drop my truck off for the install.
Dealing with Yancy was the best. She immediately addressed my concerns from the outset and calmed my nerves. Past collision shop experiences were way below par . . . and any concern/issue was dealt with in the most professional manner. I very much appreciate each body shop tech who worked on my car to restore it to its original specs. Bravo to each member of the team. I will certainly refer people to you all.

Terrible experience. I’m sorry but it was not a good experience at all. I’m thankful that I am a patient person because the communication between me and the center was not up to par. It honestly affected my relationship with my job because I had to take time off to pick up my car and later found out it wasn’t ready. I understand it’s only so much someone can do but this experience was a nightmare. This is NOT aimed at my handler but the overall business itself. Once again this is NOT aimed at my handler but “Sterling McCall Collision Center” as a overall company can do better.

Extremely lackluster performance from the collision department. I found their department sub par for over looking several collision issues that should be addressed before calling me telling me vehicle was completed and ready to be picked up. I was extremely dissatisfied and will never bring my car back again for a collision issue. I had my new vehicle(5000k)in for repairs after a wreck and it took about six weeks to complete and yet I find myself needing to return yet again for an over looked repair I just noticed.To start,There were multiple but minor paint flaws.The sensor to the lift gate was not operating.There were dirty hand prints all over interior.There were dirty foot prints all over carpets.There was filthy hand prints on cream leather. There was a small cap missing off front camera. One of my personal license plates was missing(both were there when I gave them car)There was a rotten or burning odor smell that was not addressed after MULTIPLE conversations concerning this when bringing vehicle in.Finally spoke with customer service dir and was able to resolve issues but took two more weeks to complete. Now I will need to have them fix the rear windshield water spout that is draining into the inside of my tailgate lift. Wish me luck!
Excellent Customer ServiceThese employees really do go extra mile to assist. I had a totaled car the insurance cokpany was gonna tow in 1 day and they helped me by taking the time to remove all the Loads of items in back seat and trunk so that Nothing would be lost. Full back seat and trunk so it wasnt a small favor and they offered to do it before I could even ask. This gesture was more than a favor it was a service provided to myself and one they did happily. Very cool indeed.
My truck was in for an oil change,but instead had to have a taillight and body damage repaired that was caused by a porter. So instead of one day for the oil change I was without my 4month old truck for one week.They did a wonderful job on the repair and I of course was not billed, but not the experience I was expecting.
Would give me details or cost estimates for repair of my viechle but would only forward the info to my insurance. Stating that their policy was to give everything to insurance and I could get it from the insurance company, which the insurances policy is to obtain the info from the body shop. They run a nice little scam with the insurance company to cut corners and keep viechle owners in the dark.Be prepare to be run around in circles and nicked and dime til they stuck every penny possible from you.
We had two automobiles damaged by a tornado. Sterling McCall Ford returned my Lincoln MKX in like new condition. My Ford Focus is coming out of the shop today and l expect thst it will repaired at the same level of quality. They are one of the best body shops around Houston.

This collision center is very bad in its service to start with. The assigned estimator - Tommy was not giving proper answer and most of his responses were incomplete and very rude. This is the first time I am writing a review and the reason to write this review is because I hated it so much. Even after one and a half day, they didnt even touch my car to give an initial estimate so I can work with the claim adjuster to get it approved and fixed. And finally when I asked them to give the estimate soon they responded back to take my car back. I was paying for the rental from my pocket and I had a reason to get the estimate soon. I had taken proper appointment so this was not like a sudden increase in their work schedule. The estimator never picked up my call when I tried to contact to get an update. The conclusion was I took my car back and had to pay for the rental and also look for other collision center. I would really suggest to look at other collision centers as in Houston the options are many. A very unprofessional collision center.
I went to them first because I have had good experience with the Sterling McCall Hyundai Service. Unfortunately, what I just experienced basically confirmed comments in other reviews: bad communication. After their evaluation, they pre-ordered the parts, and they said they will call me once the parts arrive. Almost two months later, after I called them several times, I was told that they called and left messages, and they returned the parts and closed the case. I have been paying close attention to my calls, and there have been absolutely no messages. After her brief explanation the lady clearly signaled that they dont want my business by hanging up on me. Nice service!Respond to the managers comment:My wifes name may be used your system. You can look for our last name, and Hyundai Tuscon 2016.

They kept my car for 10 days over the allotted time frame .My rental car was for 30 days they kept my car for 40 days. When I explain that i would be without a car for 10 days I was told they dont give loaner cars so basically your on your own.I asked for a manager to call me as of yet I still have NOT spoken to a manager. I was told due to the impact of the truck that hit me the tires need aligning my inside lights that was attached to the fender that was reattached never turn white they stay red at all times. I was told that these are things that would be taken care of and they never where. I thought taking my car to the dealer would be my best option. Yet it was the WORST Sterling McCall Ford service and collision center are terrible. I have been with Sterling McCall 1st Toyota that is Great! Sterling McCall Ford was the WORST experience ever.

I was unsure how to rate them, but I erred on the side of the positive because they did good work. It took a long time to get rolling, I didnt have my van for a good four weeks, and most of what needed to be done was one part replacement, equivalent to one I did in an afternoon with my buddies in high-school. I understand this part was hard to get (fuel tank). There was recall work the van needed but I hadnt had time to schedule, I asked two different representatives to go ahead and do that while it was in - they never did. I also asked them to price a seat-belt buckle replacement - something that could easily have been done while waiting on the gas tank. Also never did. On the other hand they did a little more work than what was really needed, the front end of the van looks great, and the repairs seem to be solid. With the exception of a rattle I need to track down I would say its in better shape than when it got there. They also washed and vacuumed the van, considering I have a toddler that was a big deal, it needed it desperately, and that was complementary.
I am rating Sterling McCall Collision Center three stars ONLY because the work completed on my truck was without issue. My truck was returned to me as if it were brand new! In fact, whomever cleaned my truck out found a wallet I thought I lost three months ago. I was thoroughly impressed by this, but not enough to overcome the lack of communication.This facility lost two stars because, in my opinion, much is left to be desired in terms of communication. When I am paying for a service (well, when the insurance paid on behalf of the other driver), I expect to know what is going on during the entire process. Sterling McCall Collision Center had my truck for nearly two weeks and I was only able to speak with the service adviser once. I did receive a few text messages from the automated messaging system, however. As for the text messaging service, whomever writes those messages should find a new job! Because I am not Tom Hanks in the DaVinci Code, I am not skilled in deciphering your cryptic texts. Each message provided less detail than the one before and left me even less informed.Not one person took the time to speak with me about the service I was about to buy when I walked through the door to drop off my truck. I scheduled the drop-off and fully expected to speak with a service adviser, or somebody, about what to expect. The level of communication provided by the service adviser was anything but desirable. Even when I was able to speak with the service adviser, no detail was provided. I inquired as to how much longer my truck would be in the facility; I was told “I am not sure. I will call you back with an estimate.” That was the only time I spoke with the service adviser and I never heard back. I had to speak with several other employees to find out what was going on with my truck.When I returned to pick up my truck, I was merely handed my keys and told my truck was outside. This experience felt no different than buying fast-food for lunch. Heres your order, now leave. At least ChicFilA says it was their pleasure to take my money.
Worst service in Houston. A service that shouldve took two weeks ended up taking 2 months which caused our company loses for more than $3000. We will never recommend Sterling McCall to anyone. Employees are careless and incompetent. No one offered any solutions throughout, only excuses.My recommendation to the public, DONT TAKE YOUR CAR TO Sterling McCall.

I am currently sitting in the waiting room of this center. I had called on Tuesday (2 days ago) to make an appointment so I could get a 2nd estimate for my car. While Sterling McCall is not a Direct Repair shop for my auto-insurance, they have been maintaining my vehicle for me, so I would prefer to stay with the same shop. However, Lo and Behold they cant find me anywhere in the system for an Estimation Appointment. Then, adding insult to injury, convinced that I had made the appointment at a different Sterling McCall Shop, they decided to call around to the other shops to verify that I hadnt gone to the wrong location. A lady in the shop was eventually able to give me an estimate after inspecting my vehicle with me. I will probably stay with the shop recommended by my insurance.
