Following a cold call from a Datavox account rep who made grandiose claims of being the one stop solution for all my IT needs in any situation, I decided to give them a try on a large but simple rural mixed residential/commercial security, IT, and connectivity project to see just how well they performed and to gauge their responsiveness. In the event things went well I indicated I would consider them to manage my entire in-town multi-site IT process soup to nuts. Of course, the account rep was beyond excited to land an account like this and after a site visit to the rural project and encouraging discussion about solutions and start times, I was confused when I didnt receive any followup. When I decided to reach out to the rep by email, it went unanswered. When I called I didnt get an answer, but was quickly called back. After speaking to the rep, I was informed the VP decided this was not a project for them and the guy who handles these projects was out and they didnt know when he would be back. I was truly shocked at this 180 turn of events, the reliance on one guy for an entire arm of service, and the lack of communication. I own and run a small business where customer service is a priority. It appears this organization wasnt interested in satisfying all of my IT requirements and only the ones convenient to them. Truly unfortunate as I would have been a great client... assuming they actually did what they claimed they could accomplish. Truly disappointing and incredibly unprofessional in my opinion. So I am on the hunt again for a more reliable and professional firm to handle all of my IT needs.
Not the fastest tech support I have ever had to deal with but with a little patience they will get things resolved.I did get a call shortly after posting this review from the operations manager which really speaks to how much the care about customer service. Honestly, thats a sign of good management to me, so kudos there for sure.

Horrible technical support. Our extension to extension calling has been down for months to our Dallas office. They havent been able to fix it but they are happy to charge us for calling our Dallas location. Definitely wouldnt recommend.Shortly after I posted this a top level technician called and fixed our issue quickly. I am very happy with their response.
My experience with DataVox has been one of the best vendor relationships we have. Their teams and members have been amazing to work with on a number of projects including security cameras, access control, and a very large audio/video project for our new conference center. Additionally they have been a fantastic resource for knowledge and ideas for future projects or current project adjustment, and are always quick to respond and provide info above and beyond my request.
DataVox has been a vital part of the City of Missouri City security and access control project success. They were both methodical and precise in helping guide the decision on the right solution that would fit the need and requirement for the City. As a vendor they were very flexible in adopting to some of the changing requirement and need for the City. Their staff is both qualified and proficient with the technology and very professional in their interactions. We initially did the security project with DataVox and because we were completely satisfied with their services we continued to do the access control project which is a critical part of our infrastructure and security.
The sales person is very nice. Solution is provided fast. Demo is good. The installation was not as smooth as I thought. We faced different issues, like technical problems, communication problems, and changing requirements, etc. But finally all problems are solved. Thanks a lot.
Ive been working with DataVox over the past 4 years. Ive used them for many different projects and they never fail to come through. I can always count on there support group for a quick resolution. Their teams are extremely knowledgeable and are great to work with.
We contacted Datavox for a very short notice job to install fiber between floors for a rushed move. They responded professionally and timely and did expert work to bring us live and operational at a competitive cost despite the tight time frame. Given the opportunity, I would gladly rely on them and the team they sent out again when next we have a more reasonable and planned needs execution.
Weve had a great experience with Datavox over the last couple years - they have done everything from a highly complex phone system implementation to a security camera management system overhaul to cabling jobs for our new vet clinic. Our account rep has been fantastic, and weve been very pleased with the quality of service and the technical support.
I have now used Datavox twice for phone systems in our offices. The second time was a move, where they pulled cable for us, moved our phone systems, installed a large monitor in our conference room, installed a security system and added another phone and conference phone to the existing system. Everything went very smoothly. The equipment is working as intended and looks great! They were on time for each installation/move, dressed nicely, conversational, helpful and gave great suggestions whenever I posed questions about how something should be configured or used. Thanks to the Datavox team for helping Nelson & Co. with its move and growth!
Worked with them at a client of ours... They were called in to sell a phone system. The phone system was not a complete system - POE handsets were sold without planning on how to power them - the initially told the client its the network guys (mine) job to provide the switch for their phone system.Secondly, the network engineering and planning all happened after the fact. The computers and wireless are being connected to the phone systems switches and network decisions being made without planning and considering the network. The wireless was configured (guest and non-guest) so that the non-guest was isolated from the network, and the wireless was useless if you wanted to talk on the LAN. This was changed, but only as an after though when we started to use it.Their network engineer is knowledgeable, but the planning, project management, and coordination were miserable.
Ive been working with DataVox for going on two years now. I have worked with them on many large projects, Avaya phone system, conference/meeting room technologies and camera/security system for our facilities. The service before, during and after the sale as always been top notch.Their VMware and networking team have also helped us create a more stable LAN environment for our employees.

They sell hardware running windows embedded (stripped down windows xp) and charge $185/hr for support. NOPE.
We have multiple tickets in for technicians to come out. We have been putting them in for over 2 weeks and have YET to have anyone come out. We currently have several phones OUT OF COMMISSION - Including our main line in Reception. This is UNACCEPTABLE!However, soon after posting this review, the chain of command took over and got it done. Our system is up and running and functioning very well. Thank you Anthony and Curtis!!!!
