We had a total of three couples in our group, two visiting from North Texas and us from near Ft. Smith. Check in was easy & they had a great selection of merchandise in their shop! Staff was friendly & helpful. They provided a decent paper map of the trails, but due to hard to see trail markers, it made things a bit more challenging. The only thing that we saw a strong need for was MORE VISIBLE trail markers & BETTER signage. Thats the only reason we didnt give them 5 stars. They offer three Badge of Honor trails. We stuck to mostly the Level 3 & 4 trails, which were just right for our lifted Jeeps with 35 tires. We did a short night trail ride on Level 2 trails, which was fun. We topped off our 2nd day by doing the Rubicon Ridge badge of honor trail (the most difficult of the three badge trails). It had a couple of really challenging obstacles early on that required a bit of finesse & good spotters. Fellow patrons had good trail manners & patience.Well definitely be back. Just hope trail signage improves by then. Theres a huge variety of trails for all skill levels. Something for everyone.
This was my husband and my first actual off road park experience and we had a great time. We did all of the Jeep badge of honor trails with our 4runner and some other fun trails. Some lead to some great views and the park had many levels for technical stuff. We tent camped there for 3 nights. We arrived on Sunday and there was only one other tent camper there with a few RVs. They all left the next day and we were the only ones besides another RV on our last night. It was nice to have the whole place to ourselves camping but I can see there being more people on the weekends. Only complaint was that there was a generator running the whole time which might bother some while sleeping. Luckily we always camp with ear plugs! The staff was also VERY friendly and nice. We first booked campsite 14 but when we got there noticed there was no tent pad and the portable bathroom was basically in the campsite. They were nice enough to let us switch to 13 which we loved.
Made the 7 hour trek with my dad and had a blast. We met up with a group of Jeep’s modified with tires ranging from 33’ to 37’ and hit all of the badge of honor trails. These trails really show you how capable your rigs are. The staff was great and the trails were so much fun. I did ding my hardtop on some off camber against a tree on Fun Run but it was well worth it. The shop sells little band aid stickers which I thought were great. I have a three pedal Gladiator so I thought I would need some spotting, but aside from some skid plate scraping, and even with taking all the harder lines, I only required a spotter once! Super impressed with this place so we bought the season passes. We will be back here many times with our group in the future. 10/10 would recommend
This places was amazing. I don’t know how you could give it less than 5 stars. The workers I interacted with were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The office had a ton of cool gear and supplies. And the trails, good lord the trails; there were way more than could be explored in a day, they were well marked and maintained, and had some beautiful sites. If you have a 4x4 and are thinking of going, stop thinking and just go, you’ll have the time of your life. I know I did.
We had an AMAZING time here! The trail map was a little bit confusing and they dont have much signage out on the trails but it was kinda fun to get lost in the Jeep while wheeling. They have 3 Jeep Badge Trails, if you dont know what that means, check out the badge of honor app. Finally, they have camping spots! We have a 30 ft Class C and the spots were plenty big enough. The road to the park was a bit of a nail biter in the RV. Staff was super helpful. Wish we had gotten at least 1 day of wheeling with the RV reservation but its a separate charge. Literally everything you could want is available in the office/shop. REALLY wish there was an RV Dump station someplace (this is the reason I gave 4 stars). Water & electric at all the sites, ours all worked fine. We did a premium site which I highly recommend. The standard sites are too close together in my opinion. We didnt get a packet or anything when we checked it. They just gave us a trail map and said which spot we were in. Make sure you write down the wifi password because there was 0 call phone signal. We were happy to be completely off grid for a few days.
My boyfriend and I went here for the day during our trip to Hot Springs so he could test out his Jeep mods. We did three trails and met some cool people. All of the trails we did are verified Jeep Badge of Honor trails, too. The park is beautiful and clean, and the workers are very helpful and efficient. Theres a tent camping area as well as RV slots if you choose to stay overnight. We had a great time and would love to go back!
This place rocked! A buddy and I went and we loved it. We completed all the Badge of Honor Trails and a few more in a single day. My suggestion would be to do Snake, Fun Run, and then Rubicon Ridge. Especially if you have someone new to wheeling like my wife was. It prepared her pretty good for that drop in on Rubicon. The staff was very friendly when we got there and took the time to show us on the map where we needed to go to accomplish our goals. Also know they have air stations outside the office for airing back up. It was very convenient not having to get out my compressor and hook it up and all.My Jeep: 17 Rubicon, w/2 Mopar lift, and a 34 tire. I made it through everything well but was rubbing my rear inner fenders often. I tried to go up a rock step on RR but just didnt have large enough tires. I could have winched but selected the bypass. I think some high clearance fenders and a little larger tire is in my Jeeps future. Even with that my Jeep really surprised me with how capable they are and I had a great time.My buddy: 16 Rubicon, 3.5 lift, and 37s. He made it through everything easy and walked right up that spot I took the bypass.I would go back for sure.
Ive been to several off-road parks and I think this is my favorite and their annual pass will save you money if you spend more than 3 days though and you could easily spend a couple of weeks to get all the trails. Campground looks great and the location is very good close to Hot Springs if you want to hotel it the store and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This place is awesome! We got there hooked up the RV went into town to eat. Next day got up kids played in the playground with all the mew ninja course type stuff! Had reservations for sxs rental for all of us! We rented 3 they were easy to ride my wife and her sister drove one and I had one. Great views from the top of the mountain. Trails are some of the best I’ve been on! Looking for something to do book you a good time!
Hot springs off-road park exceeded every expectation I could have ever had. Our campsite was beautiful, the facilities were exceptionally clean, and the office is well stocked with food and camping supplies. The staff made us feel right at home the moment we walked in and when they told us a 2 hour long side by side tour of the park was available we jumped at the opportunity immediately. Natasha was our guide for the tour and we couldnt have asked for a more perfect fit. She took us on a variety of trails, stopped at a scenic overlook for a photo opportunity, and even took a brief intermission to hunt for naturally occurring crystals. It was our first time off-roading and the park (but mostly Natasha) has us yearning for more. If youre on the fence about visiting this park, dont be, I promise it will be everything youre looking for!
Great park. Lots of ORV, ATV and Jeep trails for all experience levels. New owners who are making lots of improvements. They are expanding the camping, put in a large trailer parking lot with lots of exciting plans. Check out their website for more details.
We went to the park for the off-road trails and a place to stay while traveling cross country. The trails were well marked for all types of vehicles. The tent camping area was secluded and under a nice tree canopy. You do have to drive through a small creek to get to the tent camping area but it is an off-road park after all. I’ll definitely go back when in this part of the country.
This was my first trip to the park. My friends and I enjoyed our visit for the weekend. They have been here before. Great place to wheel and challenge yourself and your rig. Hope to be back again soon.
I stayed here this past weekend through Harvest Hosts, and it was super awesome. The spot assigned for my camper was great. There was a charity event, so I had neighbors who were also great. It was fun watching them ride the ATVs and 4x4s. I look forward to coming back in the future when I have some more time to experience the Off-Road park and explore Arkansas. Thank you for your awesome hospitality.
We just got a small camper, and we decided togo camping to lake Ouachita in labor day weekend (for what we thought it was going to be imposible, so guess what? We made it!!! Thanks to Hot spring Off-road Park, clean showers, bathroom,CLEAN ALL THE TIME! They even offered us better spot, so we couldnt ask for more!the people so nice, and even that we werent in the off-road thing? Discovered how cool it was! Totally recommended!(Plus...5 minutes to Hot Spring and 15 from Lake Ouachita, GREAT location!)
If your looking for the premier off road park in Arkansas this is it. Bring your wheeler motorcycle suv. If you like to trail ride or rock crawl you love it here
We had a blast here. The map they give you is very helpful and detailed, some areas do get a little confusing as they aren’t marked with a sign, however most of the trails are clearly marked with signs rating the difficulty of the trail with a one diamond being the easiest and a five diamond being the most difficult. We did come across a few discrepancies between the map and the signs, such as the map had one trail marked as a five diamond meaning it would be the most difficult and on the sign it was marked a four diamond meaning the trail would be slightly less difficult than per say a five diamond rated trail and vice versa. Most trails are marked with an exit which corresponds well with the trail on the map making it very convenient. We drove alone however there was plenty of other vehicles there to where I felt comfortable if we did brake down but at the same time the place is large enough that you aren’t on top of each other. They even have a kids zone as well where you can teach your kids to ride on the trails on their dirt bikes or atvs. We had a blast and definitely will be back!! He
Great trails and camp sites! Awesome location! Our favorite off road park!!
Great park for beginners and experienced. Im fairly new to off-roading and the owners of the park took time and explained the trail ratings and where i should begin. Earned all three jeep badges and had lots of fun. I didnt have a spotter but was able to hire a guide at the office to complete rubican ridge for about the cost of a dinner. I would highly recommend the guide option, these guys know their stuff. Special thanks to owner Gabe who helped me out of a jam. Read and understand the map, itll keep you out of trouble. Thanks guys, ill definitely be back.
If you want a challenge in the midwest, this is it. The campsites are awesome, the tent camping has nice pads and water, the creek behind the tent was marvelous, the RV hookups is great. Loved the well stocked store. Bathrooms are good, the showers were clean but the fixtures needed attention. Overall it was a great weekend, even with the body panel damage.
My husband was excited to try this place while we were in Hot Springs for his birthday. We looked at the website and saw the 1-diamond trails looked like something our stock Subaru could handle. Got to the check-in office and were told All Wheel Drive is not allowed - only 4-Wheel Drive. We understand if that is policy, but please put that in an obvious place on your website so that people can save the trip.
Great place close to home to go trail riding. Owners were super friendly and helpful. Cant wait to go back. A great way to spend the day.
If you like going off road like we do in our jeep this is the place for you. They have some of the best trails Snake, Fun Run, Rubicon Ridge, Buckhorn North are just a few. They have to many to mention and the trail rating system they have in place is easy the understand. So you dont find yourself stuck on a trail above your skill level. This was the second time going there from Texas but this time we had a friend and to whole time on the trail they wished they had brought their jeep. So you know were going back so I invite you to pack up your rig grab some friends and take on the challenges of the park. Have fun
Our 1st trip to the park and off-roading. I’m so very thankful we chose the guided tour. Our tour guide Knox was AMAZING! He was very knowledgeable and patient.WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!
This place is so well organized and trails marked. Best off road park Ive ever been to. Can even get 3 Jeep Badges of Honor at their park.
Now with new owners!!! Must.to visit. SPECTACULAR VIEWS
Trails couldve been better marked but it was an exciting challenge with beautiful views.
I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and it’s always a good time. The trails could be marked a little better where the map shows intersections but if you use a little common sense it’s not that bad. The cabins are always clean and the front shop keeps miscellaneous stuff for repairs so you don’t need to go in to town.
Fun place! Lots of options for 2 or 4 wheels. It is easy to end up on an advanced trail, so use the map.Ride on mtn ridges, through creeks, and test your skills and vehicle capabilities on numerous hills climbs. They have a 7 mile singletrack loop for dirt bikes that is nice. They plan to add to that as well. I got to ride with a local and he showed me all around, thanks Ken!
If youre looking for that Oh S*@# trail to hit up with that built Jeep or Side by Side - look no further; the Level 3 & up will get the adrenaline flowing. The main numbered roads, Level 1 & shorter Level 2 trails are good for stock rigs & taking the Fam.
New owners were awesome. Decent bath house with showers. Had a blast on the trails, they were pretty well marked (except for a wrong turn at the start of Rubicon Ridge) and well maintained. If only they could have done something about the humidity
Had a guide for Fun Run and Rubicon Ridge. Had a blast cant thank the staff enough for the experience.
Wife and I had just gotten our jeep gladiator sport no mods made. We just wanted to try it out and the help, information, and hospitality of the people at this place was awesome. Yes we made our first mod to a little bigger tires so we can come back and do it again with y’all 😁😁😁
This place is awesome. Very well marked trail heads. The talks are technical for sure, but the lines present themselves pretty clearly. One thing of not is that the map didnt take into account done pipeline work going on at the edge of the park. When you come off of snake trail dont continue on road 5 or you will hit a dead end.
This was by far the best adventure I’ve done on any of our family vacations! The entire staff was AAAAAMAZING! Sam you are a definitely an asset to the team! Thank y’all for making my family vacation memorable
Loved this place, 1st time there. Park was clean the bathrooms and showes were clean and well stocked. Nice camp spots. I know they under new owners and they are working real hard to keep it clean and get it up and running better. Trails was awesome some need to be changed from 3 to 4 because of wash out but it still was so much fun.
Go! Drive fast to get there... Enjoy it.
Great experience, had a blast! New owners are very friendly and welcoming. All levels of trails for all riders. Map is provided, but we found the trails were not well marked and went arund in circles several times. Would definitely come back!
Love it!!!! Great place to test your off road rig.....
Came out to the park for La. Wheelin For Warriors. Had a blast!!!… Trails are awesome with something for everybody!! If you got a fully built buggy down to a stocker of your choice, they got a trail for it. The new owners are great people and they are working hard on setting their plans in place with construction already started. Can’t wait to go back again.
Staff was very friendly and helpful! Cabins are perfect size, our only issue was the room cold have been colder, the AC was acting up a bit. They have lots of trails for any experience but they do need to update their map.
Loved the trails and how well they are kept up and so clean. Beautiful view from several sides of the mountain. Can’t wait to go back
Came in for the Camp Sunshine annual fundraiser. We had a blast making new friends, meeting new people, eating, fundraising, and rock crawling/trail riding...and all for an AMAZING cause! The new owners of the park seem to be pretty cool. As far as the park itself goes, a little something for everyone is there....truck/Jeep trails, trails for ATVs and bikes...down to an area for kids. If you want to crawl over and in between huge rocks, climb the mountainside, or just ride through creeks and whatnot, there is a trail for you!
Enjoyed the camping. We didnt off road, but the location is really close to downtown Hot Springs and Magic Mountain we plan on camping again here soon when when the weather cools off
Good trails, though not marked the best which was frustrating since this was my first time there. The paper trail map did was also different than the GPX files was in places with added further confusion. The WiFi that was stated to come with the campsite was also useless. It would not load anything. Still had an overall good time, just not worthy of 5 stars.
Trails were well marked and a trail for every level driver. For sure will be back.
We went as a group had alot of fun camping there and it was the cheapest place to camp. The bathrooms were really nice. Never seen them that nice at a camping site. We didnt go off roading but our friends did and they had a blast.
The tent camping sites were great! Shaded and cool, we could hear the creek. We had the place to ourselves so we ended up with our own personal portapotty. Ha. The trails were fun and there were plenty of options and difficulty levels. There had been a heavy rain earlier and some of the trails had washout that made them more difficult than expected. The map was pretty good, only a couple of confusing areas. The shower house was good, great water pressure. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The other campers were fun too. We had a great time. I just wish it were closer to home.
Great place for off roading and nature. Everyone there was helpful and our guide Sam went above and beyond. We rented a side by side and toured all around the park. My little girl even found crytsals in the dirt. I highly recommend checking this place out if youre visiting hot springs.
Love the park they have a great range of trails from beginner to expert!!
Their new management and new park policies for cabin and space rentals absolutely sucks. We never had an issue making reservations under the previous ownership for a 2 night stay. Now its a 3 night minimum for a cabin @ $95 a pop. Greedy much? Screw this place Im done with it!!!
This is a great off-road park for everyone from beginners to experts! Tons of trails that are very well marked and easy to navigate and locate. I really like that most trails are one way to prevent oncoming traffic. The facilities are well maintained and the main area is all close together so you can pretty much walk around camp to get to the bathroom, showers, and general store if needed. It was my first time to the part, and I will be back for sure many times! Cannot wait to return to explore more of this awesome park!
Great trails wonderful people. Favorite offroad park in Arkansas
Our first time offroading- staff was extremely helpful. Only ran into other vehicles once- a group of 5 Jeeps. Trails are well marked but you need to be good at reading maps or you can get yourself in trouble. We stayed on trails rated 1 & 2. It was a ton of fun. Id like to come back sometime when we can hook up with some more experienced drivers. 2007 stock Rubicon.
Nice place with cool trails and not to crowded. Good way to spend a day.
Absolutely awesome!! Rented the 2 seat ATV for a couple of hours and Sam gave us the tour. We will make a point of stopping in every time we go through the area.
One of our favorite places in the whole world!
Awesome place! Super nice folks. Nice campsites and cabins and fun family atmosphere. Will be back!
Oh my Lord okay so I had a blast here. I went with my girlfriend, came sort of unprepared without a winch or a jack, but some people here picked me up with their group and we wheeled together for half the day. This place is gorgeous and challenging for someone just getting into off-roading/rock crawling. I had a Ford Ranger 4x4 on 35s, open diffs and got around just fine. I recommend only if you plan ahead and have a group of people. The people that visit this place regularly are tremendous help and very encouraging.
I do a lot of off roading and overlanding and this is in my top 3 parks of all times. The place is always clean and well maintained. The trails are clearly marked and there is a good mixture of difficulties for everyone. They have plenty of parking, RV hookups and tent camping. There is also a few cabins to rent for the weekend at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and help run the general store where you can find food, clothing, supplies and even spare parts. Dont miss out on this one, plan a trip now!
Had a great time! Great camping, trails were marked very well from easy to difficult. Extremely clean bath house/restrooms a plus in my book. Staff friendly and very helpful. Worth our 8 hour drive, we will be back!!
Best affordable fun around. Had a great time and the new owners are very nice . Had a great time meeting and visiting with them. Cant wait to go back
Absolutely wonderful. People are nice and so is park Definitely going back.
My first time there and it was a blast
Awesome park. New owners are awesome and Making improvements hopefully to be updated soon.
Probably my favorite park in the country, we go several times a year. Trails for all kinds of 4x4s.
Very nice park, we had a blast
Awesome place, nice and quiet and beautiful, shower amenities and bathrooms within walking distance
Definitely will not be back. Mostly meant for rock crawlers. Extremely expensive just for a few very short trails.
What a great spot to get your 4x4 dirty. Staff was great and the trails are really fun. Markers made it easy to stay on the right trails for your vehicle.
Great place to do some rock crawling and trail riding
We had a great time! The park is very clean and family friendly, the park dropped the ball on our reservations but made it right by waiving our riding fees for 2 jeeps and finding us a near by camp site. I have no complaints, it’s a great park, even though we broke our jeep .... we will be back
Had a excellent time great trails
This place is amazing and a great place to go even if you have a stock jeep. We spent about 3 hours touring it and earned our Snake Trail Jeep Badge of Honor.
Great park! Plenty of trails to be had. Air stations work well at the end. We look forward to going every year.
Great park! Plenty of easy and hard trails to keep everyone busy. Trails are well marked and easy to follow map.
Was amazing! Staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. Trails were well marked. We loved it!
