I came in on short notice with a exhaust job I did myself 3 years ago looking for a Quality job and I definitely got much more then that.I got in around 11am and was out before 1pm. He offered me a basic price for just the pipes at like around 400 I forget but it was really good price but then he asked if I would want an exhaust tip, he had so many options it was kinda hard to choose from. If you are reading this review right now please choose this place super good customer service we were cracking jokes the whole time, great prices, and I can’t even justify how good the exhaust system was done definitely wouldrecommend this place over anywhere else

When I arrived he seemed to be in a hurry and a little short with me. But I dont judge a mans business for possibly having a busy day. What I do judge is his work and he quoted me a good price before I went. He stuck to that price and had my exhaust fixed within 15 minutes. Couldnt have chosen a better shop to go to. Highly recommend.
Straight up this man is so honest! got my catylitic converter stolen from my 01 toyota Sequoia- he gave me several options which i appreciated- ultimately I got another vehicle which is a 07 gmc Acadia. wanted to get a catylitic shield so thiefs dont steal which he quoted $300- guess what! we ended up not needing to put a shield- the way the 07 gmc acadia is made it is about near impossible to steal the catylitic convertor- what a honest man! he couldve just did the job and made $300, but he chose to be honest with me! and let me tell you, you cant find people like this! in turn i would recommend this man (tim) for whatever muffler jobs you need done, hes honest and very reasonable price! thanks again tim 🤙🏻
The gentleman who works here is very serious but he will get the job done, he will also work with peculiarities that may pop up during installation, it will just cost you, he is also reasonably priced.

My experience at A+ Mufflers and brakes is the best car repair experience of my life. In the middle of the night a few days ago, thieves sod off my Cadillac converter to sell for scrap, this is a common problem in Honolulu right now. The next morning I called around to several muffler shops and was being quoted around $1800 every corporate shop. Luckily I called him at 8+ muffler and brakes and instantly knew I was talking to an honest person. He knew exactly what was going on and offered me three great solutions over the phone. I texted him photos to confirm the issues and we went with the most affordable solution. He coach me on how to help save money for the repairs and offered same-day turnaround! He needed an hour for the repair but finished in 50 minutes. The total cost was $370. Amazing! My car runs and sounds even better than before. I know my brakes are coming up in about a year and I promise you that I will be back to see Tim. He only does mufflers and breaks, it’s his specialty. He does everything from simple exhaust repairs like mine and custom high-end mufflers for sports cars. I was so lucky to find an honest mechanic.

GREAT SKILL...HAVE A 1969 MGB WITH A V6 CHEVY ENGINE FROM A 1995 CAMARO. TIM TOOK A SUBSTANDARD, LOW HANGING EXHAUST, AND FINESSED A QUALITY SYSTEM THAT SOUNDS GREAT AND GREATLY REDUCED HEAT IN THE INTERIOR WITH PROPER PLACEMENT AND AN EXHAUST WRAP. I AM GRATEFUL! MAHALO TIM..
I wanted to replace my stock exhaust on my BMW with an aftermarket exhaust. When Tim saw how much I was going to pay for an exhaust, he said he would save me half of that price by building one out. I never leave reviews on anything but i have to share this experience.Dont waste your time and money from different shops, go to A+Mufflers.I wasnt sure which shop i want to go at first so like everyone else out there, I started my research by reading all the reviews and searching the prices on mufflers itself on internet. Then I actually stop by several places to get estimates. Ive talked to several Mechanics/Shop owners but I felt like they were a bit over-priced since did some homework.I went to the A+Mufflers and hoping that this place have different options. Booom, as soon as I talked to Tim I knew this was it. He was flat honest, He explained me about different choices on mufflers and details, price was so reasonable without BS and the best part was how well he does his job. I made an appointment on the very next day early in the morning, he was prepared and knew what to do. Half an hour later I was out the door and driving down the road with the new muffler.

Had a great experience at A+ Muffler and Brakes! Tim was incredibly professional a really good dude. He was able to coordinate an install time with me that had me in an out of the shop for a full Catback system on my 2015 Focus ST in under 2 hours! Wanted to improve the exhaust note on my daily driver without going over board (drone, too loud, unbearable cabin noise, etc). Met with Tim for a free estimate and to get his professional opinion.I went with his recommendation of staying with the stock piping diameter (I dont drive a high horsepower car) and replacing the two stock mufflers with a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator and a straight through FlowFX muffler.Tims welds are solid and his exhaust parts recommendation yielded the results I wanted: Quiet as stock during idle, a nice deep tone when accelerating, no drone, and barely any cabin noise when cruising at highway speeds.Another bonus is I saved a good amount of money vs buying and shipping over catback from the mainland.
