Unbelievably exceptional!!! I have been playing for over 20yrs and had my instruments setup & serviced by multiple luthiers over the years. Had no idea what I was missing or what was possible, till I came here. BR Fret Shop showed me the light. Feels like they must know something no one else dose. Chris could probably start his own cult or something if he wanted to. I am in.

I was finally able to attain one of my dream guitars and when I got it, for lack of a better term, it sounded like dog****. After years sitting in a case because it wasn’t enjoyable to play, I took it to Chris. He explained the process every step of the way, let me know what the decision points were, then helped walk me through them. Service was quick (2 weeks I think) and the price was great for the work I had done. I love playing my “Gecko” LP now thanks to Chris.As a note to the readers, this service was 1 1/2 or so years ago. I relocated and couldn’t think of anyone else to call for advice on another guitar and a few other things. Chris, again, was super helpful. This is an amazing place. For the beginner-me...to my cousin- skilled player. The amount of respect, knowledge, and professionalism is above and beyond all else. Meeting Chris, and Wes gave me the feeling of true Ohana. Tuned my Uke, and also showed me a few things that I need to keep my skill set progressing. Fair pricing, great people. Im living in Hawaii Kai and would drive from anywhere on the island to use their services.

I bought a brand new Fender American Vintage Telecaster. After a few days I realized the frets bothered me and it just didnt feel right or sound quite right. So I took it to Chris at BR Fret Shop. He told me upfront what was wrong and how much it would cost and if it was more work he said he wouldnt go up on his quoted price. He gave it what they call a Deluxe setup and it comes with a fret level, recrown and polish along with a complete setup. I swear I have never played a guitar that plays better in my life. And it only cost me $100 and without the fret problem it would have only been $60 great deal at a clean shop with a super down to earth nice owner. Only place I will ever go.

After months of looking for a small body guitar that didnt sound like a small body guitar I came across the GS mini. I went in to easy music center 3 or 4 evenings and played all the small body guitars in my price range.never once did I feel like I was bothering because the employees there would always answer all my questions no matter how many times I asked. And I must say the GS Mini sounds phenomenal for its size. Not only that but easy music center price was actually $30 cheaper than guitar center. After 4 weeks of having my guitar it was making a weird buzzing noise. So I went back to Easy music center where Will took his time to listen to my guitar and determine that indeed it was making a not so normal buzz. He emidiately called BR Fret Shop and let them know I needed their assistance. Once I arrived Chris the owner BR Fret took care of me and fixed the guitar. It was simply needing a little more copper wire on the screws in the electronics. Although he had plenty of guitars from other customers he was working on, He was able to fix it right on the spot and adjusted my guitar neck at no cost. He only did it right on the spot because BR Fret and Easy Music Center have a long lasting relationship (his words not mine). Folks the reason why I mention all this is that; 1. Guitars are man made and man assembled, things are not always perfect out of the box but easy music center stood by their product. 2. Easy Music Center has great costumer service. 3. When you have a music store that works so closly to a repair shop such as BR Fret, you just really cant go wrong. Just a side note, even though I was a little discouraged due to the small issue (buzzing) on my guitar, after been repaired it sounds even better than when I purchased it.
