The guy was fun, and watch out for Meliana...she’s an omnipotent presence. There’s a tasty food truck area across the road. The Hawaiian chicken tacos were loaded and tasty.

Here however, I was very impressed at the level of openness about the options, no pushy sales and after a quick discussion we got a great (unlimited) package for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Hoku for a SIM while youre in Hawaii/States.

We wanted to make daily calls to Canada during our 12-day stay in Waikiki so we got a T mobile sim card at this store. It comes to $40.84 with tax ($39 before tax) and it includes unlimited calls and data. Reception was good and we were really happy with the service. We were in and out within 10 minutes. I went in after leaving an expensive item in Japan. I needed help calling the hotel to see if they had found the item and could ship it to me. After a 2 minute conversation, Brent helped me not only with a cheap calling card but with the proper way to dial out to Japan. I cant recommend this place enough. Don’t believe the hype. Very pushy and possibly dishonest staff. Will make up anything just to get you to buy their plan. (Eg just “trust them” that your plan will work in Canada too - but they won’t show you the plan itself, which very likely doesn’t work in Canada) We found a better plan at AT&T about 20m down the road south of here. Staff at AT&T were friendly & non-pushy and showed us full details of the plan.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THESE SCAMMERS! When u are a tourist they charge more than anyone else. Then they sell phone number etc to someone else leaving u with no number data etc and someone else receives all your messages which was a whole day till I realised what had happened when I went in to a T Mobile store to see why my phone wasn’t working anymore, where they told me I had been scammed and that this store were notorious for doing this.

What a champion, being from Australia I needed a cell phone to avoid high phone bills from home. JR had me hooked up with a cell phone with plenty data for a very reasonable price in next to no time.Kept the kids quiet at dinner hotspotting off the cell he sold us with now problems.
