We came here twice while we were in Waikiki and got the Injeolmi toast, the chocolate toast, and the mango bingsu. All of them were good, and the food came out pretty quickly. The venue is extremely clean and the tables are spaced out quite a lot (due to the pandemic Im assuming). Theres usually a wait (10-25 minutes) and its all on the pricier side, but its worth it for the vibe and delicious, super savory food!
Great Korean bingsu shop in Ala Moana Center. Dine-in is allowed, however you must check in first and wait outside until there is an empty table before you can place your order. Wait time was about 15-20min on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of different flavors which are Korean-style (like injeolmi and black sesame) and also fruity.
Finding the location did take a moment. It is ground floor, near the food court, around the corner from Sees Chocolate. When we arrived, there was a small line - 4 parties ahead of us. We were told 15-20 minute wait though the wait was more like 40-50 minutes. There is no outside seating and it is a bit muggy but it is fully shaded. The dessert itself was very tasty. The mango was very sweet. But the injeolmi toast was by far a winner (and not praised enough in reviews)! The toast was buttery and warm, melted rice cake between two slices, topped with red beans. The bingsu was also delicious but the mango was more slivers than chunks though they were generous with the almonds. The price was particularly high. For the bingsu, toast and a bottle of water the total was ~$21.I think if there was a better wait/table system and more reasonable pricing, this place would definitely be worthy of 5⭐. Will try again once COVID restrictions ease up to see how operations are then.
Signature one is super good. The shave ice texture is like tiny silver flake and super loose, so it is different from the traditional Hawaiian shave ice that has the thin sheet texture. It has light creamy milky taste. The outside is covered with soybean powder which is a new experience for me and tastes great
They make a unique shave ice like dish with some creaminess to it. Different than anything I really had before and enjoyable. My kids loved it, with covid restrictions and all there was a bit of a wait after ordering even for take out.
Its good to try even once. I like the mango + almond.
Perfect location if your a tiny Japaneses tourist! If anyone else expect to met with attitude and questions asking why your even in their location. The menu is basically sugar and ICE for 13.00 a crack! Money to burn go for it! do you really think this guy can improve on gods ripe mangos?
For me its an unusual desert. Soybean powder on top of yummy stuff. Was very good but regular ice cream is my forte..
Had the strawberry bingsu and am definitely coming back. They dont skimp on the fruit and the condensed milk really brings it all together. Its a must try!
As good as it gets for Bingsu. Nice and clean, spaced out seating, fast service. Nice people. Taste is excellent!!!!! A+++++++
Delicious ice desserts! Fast friendly service
Very fine and smooth shaved ice of modern Korean style bingsoo. Awesome.
Outstanding employees! Very friendly! Super clean facility. The desserts are phenominal!! My favorite place to go at Ala Moana!
This place is great. Great Korean shaved ice. Matcha is my favorite!
Social distancing of tables exceeds 6 feet & the bowls are frozen so bing su shaved ice lasts & lasts & lasts !
Top notch bingsoo, great customer service and well-organized social distancing protocols
Incredible Desert !!! Love it ! Favorite place!!clean fresh!! Flavors awesome, kind humble hospitable customer service great !!HAWAII AND WORLD!! A MUST EXPERIENCE, BEST KEPT SECRET!!! !! COME TREAT YOURSELF TO HEAVEN!;!!
Great unique shave ice! Long line to get inside if you want a seat but it’s just as easy to get your order and sit inside the food courts seating next door.
What’s not to love about Korean crushed ice with yummy toppings like oreos, strawberries and other delectable fruits. Very refreshing and perfect for any time of day. Ample seating inside too.
My wife is Korean and from Korea. She loves it. We both enjoyed the Bingsu ( Korean shaved ice). It’s better than a lot of the places in Korea. Try it.
Great shave ice. Very smooth
Onolicious and clean!U gotta try their signature kinnako injeolmi binsu...an no tipping! 🤔
Expect to wait as they do not open up all tables. the mango they use is so delicious
First time here..Nice little cafe with friendly service. Green tea bingsu was delicious! Soft and fluffy ice and delicious toppings. Ill be back!
I’ve been to South Korea a couple of times and became a huge fan of bingsu. Their bingsu was pretty good. I liked the consistency and the chunkier oreo topping. It was a little expensive, but it’s because it’s the Hawai’i price. It seemed pretty popular and we had to wait a bit for a table. The interior was nice and what I’d expect from a bingsu place. They blast the AC so I’d definitely bring a light jacket to cover up.The oreo shake, however, did not taste good at all.. I would only come for the bingsu.
This is the best. Highly recommended.
Pretty good. I wish there are more Asian dessert shops like this on the island. Next time though, I would like the try the black sesame flavor, they were sold out during my last visit.
They are doing great with their social distancing and keeping customers happy.Keeping safe with a sign in sheet for dine in customers and limiting the amount of tables to be used really helps with keeping the spread down. The strawberry, Mango, Melon, and Oreo flavors were delicious!
Thumbs up. Definitely will return.
Place is crowded but shave ice dessert great along with the smoothies
Fantastic way to end the day!
Most delicious ice shave ever! Taste like snow! You will regret the money spend on other ice places on the islands once you have a try om this.
This is a very unique dessert or treat on a hot day. It is neither light or heavy nor too sweet yet sweet, but overall very refreshing and great to cleans the palate after a meal.Made from milk that has been frozen and then shaved to a powdery show, it is compacted into a bowl with assorted flavors and addons like sweetened condense milk, mochi balls, red beans, fruit and different food based powders. The place is fairly large with lots of spacious seating. This treat is really meant to be enjoyed while sitting down and great to share with a loved one or friends. It would be a little to messy to eat while on the go.It isnt cheap, yet not to expensive, but considering the quality of this dessert and the care of preparation along with the service, the price would be justified for being located in a mall.If you are up for something different and like cold desserts, I do recommend trying this out.
Super tasty desserts!!
Atmosphere was great and everything was delicious! The wait was a little long, but it was totally worth it.
Was okay... Need more flavor though... compare to this other place I go it is pricey and lot less fruits and toppings.
Great place for two people to eat. Portions are a little bit much for one person, but delicious regardless
We waited for 10 mins before entering due to COVID protocols that caused the seating to be limited. The interior was nice and the tables were spread out.Unfortunately, we didn’t get our top choice, which is the black sesame bingsuk so we went the the tiramisu flavored. As you can see in the picture, you get a small piece of tiramisu on top. What surprised us was another layer of flavoring in the middle. The ice itself tasted like tiramisu, too.We got to rest our feet and refresh our stomach with the dessert here.
I love it 💗 and will be back for more
The shaved ice is awesome!
Solid option for dessert
Mango or strawberry are my favorites
If you tried Sul-bing in Korea, you might be little disappointed. But this place is pretty good bingsu place I’ve ever tried outside of Korea.Nice interior and staff.I might not like the bingsoo 100% because i had to take out the bingsu due to covid-19.Definitely going back to get more bingsu for sure.I liked that it is not too sweet. Just perfect amount of sweetness and good balance with topping and rhe ice.
Not a traditional bingsu which is usually toppings on ice but is instead on a milk snow ice base. The strawberry bingsu was yummy!
Nice and sweet!
Makes me happy.
One of my favorites
Im here because of Lotus
Refreshing treat!
Ive tried other flavors, but Injeolmi Bingsu seems to be the best. The toast here is also really delicious. A combination of bread and glutinous rice cake. Its crispy. I love the red bean topping. Injeolmi and black sesame flavor are recommended. If you like something different and sweet, tiramisu and chocolate flavored toast are also available. Jeju Bing ~ Its always a wait, so Ive never eaten in the store yet. Always to go.
Bingsuuu
Bingsu!!
