Black Friday shopping 👍👍 Allowed Only 150 shoppers in the store at a time. It was controlled by a card to enter and returning card upon exiting. Tickets were given out for Special purchase items on a first come first serve basis good until noon.

Always comforting, majority of base exchanges are set up similarly and carry all the usual necessities as well as new products. Stores are always clean and inviting, and well stocked. Price match on everything and no sales tax. Personnel always friendly and helpful. Cant beat em!

I can honestly say that I am always impressed and totally satisfied with staff members at our Hickam BX Exchange! You can sense the gratitude and sincere concern and respect shopping here! Simply outstanding and no one comes close to their expertise!

One of the better EXchanges I have been too. A good selection inside with a great furniture and outdoor section as well as a decent food court. Beats Kadenas BX, thats for sure.

Its very different from the NEX but over all employees are very helpful.

Went there to eat lunch from one of 6 lunch trucks that park right in the Malls Walk way Entrance. Food truck service very slow. I waited 45 mins for my Tai Food. Soooo Irazzzzz

We went looking for a specific TV that was on sale, buy unfortunately they were sold out. We asked thw salesperson to call Schofield to see if they had any...which she did, but they did not. She was nice enough to give us a rain check. Then she was even more awesome when she tracked us down in the store to let us know that a shipment had just arrived with the TV we wanted! That was the most amazing customer service I have received in a looooooong time. Although the store was a little temperature for my preference, her customer service earns 5q stars!

The shops are fine, but the BX is struggggglin.not enough employees perhaps.. maybe just poor management idk. needs an overhaul

Great store with pretty much anything you could possibly want at discounted military prices. I got a great pair of name brand sunglasses for $23, marked down from $95.

Presidents day sale was super reasonable. My only complaint is they dont help you set up the order if items arent in stock, you have to do it on the exchange website. Of course, my sweet husband ordered the chaise on the wrong side, he had to cancel and rush to re-order within the sale window.

IF you have a VIC card one can buy here, otherwise go online to get tax-free products.

Pretty solid clothing selection and super nice staff. Although the air conditioning is kinda lacking in power.

I would be hesitant to post a negative review during COVID, but this is an exception since this business is not affected due to who shops there. The last time I shopped here was back in February after a very stressful day and ever since have not been back. Shortly after getting my cash back amount of $50, I was either pickpocketed or if that cash slipped out of my pocket, someone who did not have the integrity to give it to me picked it up. This all happened in a span of a few minutes. I shopped at the BX before driving over to the commissary next door. When I got off at the commissary, I realized that the cash was not on me. I ran over to the BX parking lot and searched the vicinity, only to not find the money. If you do shop here, be very careful and aware of your surroundings, especially after getting a cashback. Besides, every time I stopped at the BX with a list of things to buy, it would be a f-king waste of my time because this store does a terrible job with inventory and has stocking issues. That day of me losing the cash probably helped me to make up the decision to not set foot inside of that store again and waste my time. This store does not have many options. The NEX is so much better in all aspects.

The BX is big with second floor. The staff is friendly and very helpful as well. Of course the weather is very nice in Hawaii. However the price for the products here seem little more expensive comparing to other states. Im assuming this is due to it being on an island. Overall very good BX

Good service and friendly service.

Has a lot the basic necessities as well as a decent electronics and outdoor department. It is lacking in terms of household items such as curtains, bed and bath stuff. It does have enough of these things to get by, though. If youre looking for better sales and more variety, I recommend the NEX mall just a few minutes away. The BX can get busy on weekends too, and you may expect a 5-10 minute wait in the checkout line.

Its on Hiickam AfB never crowded. Have most everything you need. No tax. Good customer service.

Great place to shop

Hickman Food Court was a great morning experience. The food court manger, Valarie W. was so available to the guest, she was professional and pleasant. I have a gluten sensitivity so Cely at the Subway made me the best salad it was delicious and feeling. When you are in a food court coffee or tea people should can or may stop at Starbucks... I did- and there I met Leanne and she made my day. Beautiful customer service and very professional . She was quite aware of her companies protocol and standards. Spacious and clean. The only problem is there are never enough cashiers. Wait times for the checkout can be very lengthy.

I love shopping at the Hickam BX. It is not over crowded. The atmosphere is welcoming and I have never had a problem with any of the employees in any of the interactions Ive had. The only reason I gave the location four stars is due to the product selection. It is a smaller exchange so options are limited. The prices are fair compared to other Exchanges (Navy Exchange, or Schofield BX) Parking is never an issue either. If you have access to the Hickam BX Exchange, check it out and compare the prices with the other locations on the island. Dont forget to stop in and check out the food trucks as well. Ive had a few meals that I definitely recommend.

Hickam Bx is phenomenal at putting on free events for our keiki. Weve attended Lego events, holiday events, Star Wars events, and numerous others. They usually have a cookie tray and water, and certificates for the kiddos. My girls love coming to the different events. It is so greatly appreciated by the kids and Moms & Dads alike!

This was a pretty standard AFB Exchange with the standard chain restaurants. I wonder if its a coincidence that I see the same restaurants in most of the exchanges Ive visited. In any case, I like the Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Fried Chicken here. There are also outdoor food kiosks here.

Its an exchange

It carries too many high end products. I cant spend two hundred dollars on a purse. Wanted souvenirs but prices were too no high and never found the plumeria.

This place is a hit and miss for me, some items they dont have. Also right now they are renovating the place so its hard to find things. I do love the cashiers, several of them have made it a point to remember my husband and me. Also, people will go out of their sections to try to help us and we really appreciate the effort.

Quiet, well stocked

Not crowded as the NEX, but not as big of a variety in comparison. This Exchange is separated into 2 building. With 1 shaping itself as a mini Macys department store and the other shapes more like a sports, kids and seasonal outlet store.

Make sure to bring your military ID! They offer a wide variety of things you would need but they only carry one to two of each item. There is a nice garden center, kids toys, health and beauty, snack items, pet care, holiday decor, furniture, electronics ect.

Not a bad spot. The selection was great. We went in to look for kids shorts and found them but not in the right size/color that our son wanted. No big deal. Afterward, I found a pair of Brooks running shoes that were $30 cheaper than online. Easy decision to buy. I definitely recommend going here if you hate the busy malls on island. Theres a Starbucks in the food court too!

My stomping grounds, things have changed since my last visit in 2012. The exchange portion of the property is still the same architecture, but reorganized for the better, the store looks way more organized, with you being able to see the whole store fron the entrance, womanly products on the center, with sporting goods, technology and other areas on the perimeter, with appliances and other bigger matters on the second floor. My friend says this exchange is so small compared to other exchanges (esspecially the Navy exchange next to the Moanalua shopping center) but I like the intimacy of the size, yet the versatility of what it offers. It serves the military patrons well in my opinion as a former dependent of my father.

Beautiful exchange..not a lot of selection for such a big base. we went looking for clothes for my teenage son. The clothes were either too big or too small. not a lot of selections for teens.

Honestly unless you’re living on base, just go to the nex. I get it’s usually busy but this place is so wild and confusing layout wise it’s unreal. Employees are nice though!

If you have the patience to drive on to hickam you will be very happy with this exchange. Its way less busy than the Navy fleet store and had just as much to offer... Except the food court has less options

Solid BX. Pretty average for a BX, but way better than the Army PXes nearby. Good selecrion of items to include clothes, furniture, toiletries and more. Prices are much better than off post. Courtyard has a Subway, Popeyes, Starbucks and Papa Johns. Commissary is near, which nice also and convenient. Would recommend.

Love visiting the exchange on base especially when they have sales going on. Its big, clean, well organized and the staff is very friendly. Like always, all purchases are tax free!

Newly renovated.Pros everything is in one building now, except furniture. Furniture is in the single floor main building. Cons, really short staff with associates and cashiers.

Good luck trying to purchase anything from the electronics section.Hardly anyone ever stationed up there.Tried to purchase a charger, no one as at the register in electronics. We decided to wait in line at normal check out only to be turned away. Apparently these purchases need to be done upstairs. Yet there wasnt anyone at the register after waiting in line for 10-15 minutes.Another customer confirmed this.We didnt make our purchase and will be making future electronic purchases elsewhere.Limited selection anyway.

I think the bx is better than the nex when it comes to customer service, cleanliness and overall items but not always prices

Being.prolior service military I understand that this is not a mall. It is a PX, and as far as PXs go its good.

If you are military this is a great place to shop for many if not all your home needs. Everything from pots and pans to major appliances, furniture to home tv and audio all tax free.Dont forget about the Commisary!!

My father retired from the army, which explains why we used to frequently shop there together as a family. In order to enter, however, you must have a valid military ID.

I like the redesign of the place, its refreshing, now AAFES, need to get onboard with the scratch card like NEX, and MCX

While this place is not as big as the lovely mall at Pearl Harbor, its not as crowded because of it. I also seem to find what Im looking for more often here than I do at the NEX unless its something electronic.
