Originally I found this place while freaking out about a prop that we needed for a production. They were able to help me to fix and trouble shoot it right away.So then I found out they have so many classes. Since I adore the people who work here, I just decided to take one since I had a day off. It was “resins” class taught by ever so patient Amanda.What a fun experience. I will be back for more classes.

Lots of great crafts, but pricey.

Went to HouseMart Ben Franklin Crafts (Market City location) the other day to pick up supplies for a watercolor class Im taking. I was greeted warmly as I entered and a staff member asked if there was anything she could help me find. She lead me to the painting section and was very helpful in helping me to decide which supplies to buy. As I shopped for more things, other staff members approached and offered their assistance. All staff members were super polite, helpful and knowledgeable. Check-out was a breeze. Great experience at HouseMart!

Good for your craft needs and you can even go to their sister store.

This is one of craft shops I visit often and have lots of options for crafting. Easy parking and access to the store. Membership available but not required. However, to support local business, I have been member for it over 10 years.

Amazing. It looks small but they have so much room and so many craft supplies for all types of artists and craftsmen!

I feel like this location doesnt have as much items as the Mapunapuna store but it is our go to for those last minute projects! The staff here are really nice & helpful too! Parking can be a little bit tricky but evenings are slower & less crowded.

Frankly speaking theyre very very busy so when you call them they dont really have time to talk with you. You get some very limited directions on how to get there so rely on your favorite mapping program. again when I arrived I showed them what I was looking for they pointed to the horizon and said go to that aisle. But luckily and very happily I was welcomed by someone who was walking the floor. They walked with me over to the area and help me find exactly what I was looking for. I was so appreciative and I really do appreciate their effort for someone who does not frequent there at all. Mahalo for them.

Paint pens. This is a cool little shop. I stopped being a member for $10/year back in 2015. They cover pretty much all art stuff but its pricey.

Parking was pretty full but still was able to park the car and wait until a stall opened up. Important thing was safety of my vehicle where I wasnt waiting in a part of the parking lot to where my vehicle wasnt obstructing traffic for incoming or out going customers.

Enjoy coming here for crafting items outside the general range of Walmart...for self and art to do with the kids for quality time. Friendly staff and store was clean and well organized.

The place to go in Hawaii for all your crafting needs. They have just about everything here. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Local crafters also are given lockers to sell their wares. They also have food sales and in-store demonstrations. A great part of any neighborhood community.

The store carries SO MANY supplies, and everywhere I walked I was guided to another section I hadn’t been in before! It was amazing haha, especially since I love anything arts and crafts related. The prices were reasonable as well! I missed having a Michael’s store near me, so discovering this store and it being so close to me made my day :)Oh also, the staff were really nice, helpful, patient and welcoming!

You can pretty much find what you need or figure out a way to accomplish what you need to do for most craft projects here. I prefer to support local and prefer instant gratification to get things done. Not wait 2 weeks for bogus online Prime-ium shipping. Needed paint and vinyl to refinish my old style alumni license plate frame. Always tend to drop in when Im in the area or at Fujiokas and they pretty much always have what I need or didnt know I needed.

Love ben franklin. Granted its really our only option ok the island so their prices can be rough, but with the membership discount its great when you dont have the time or patience to wait for something in the mail. And especially the 40% off coupons they occasionally have. If they had more often I would spend alot more there than online. Selections pretty good for most areas depending on which store location. Market city great paper craft section. And halfway decent art section (they need to up their watercolor paper selection HUGE though. Dont buy any watercolor products from there unless you dont care about price or need it asap, and dont buy any of the watercolor paper there EVER. All terrible options.) But other basic art supply selection is pretty good in all areas. Except the jewelry making supplies. Must go to their paa st. Location for those. Thats where the magic is! And the lovely lady who runs that section and has been there for many many years, is so amazing, seriously amazing! So that location shines in that department. Again though, wait for those 40% off coupons or a decent sale if youre not in a hurry otherwise its a money pit. But useful in a pinch!

Any time I need something for an idea, artistic or practical, this place seems to have it. If you can make it, they probably have the parts. If you can create it, the most likely have the medium.

My visit dates back to when I was just a child and my parents brought me here (this would be 1980).Was cleaning up in my mothers house and came across a box of some toys that my mom gave me.I awalys enjoyed going to this store as a kid and Im glad its still there and still making people happy.

Was searching for yarn for knitting and a young sales lady approached me to ask if she could help me find anything. I had some questions about color of yarn, lot number etc. and since the Market City store did not have enough, she called the Kailua store and found the exact amount and color that I needed. She shared that it would be delivered to the Honolulu store and I could pick it up. This morning I received a call that it was ready for pick up. Marissa was a delight to work with. Great crafts store if you dont find it here you wont find it anywhere. Very friendly staff and you can spend some time there just looking at all the things available. Who knows you just might get started on that project you always wanted to do.

This is my favorite craft store to go to. They have a bunch of things to choose from. The people there are nice. They have any crafting things you can think of. I think that this is the best craft store. I would recommend Ben Franklin.

This afternoon I went to the Ben Franklin Craft store looking for supplies to convert some pierced earrings to screw back earrings, and to repair some screw back earrings I had. An extremely helpful and knowledgeable young lady, Sigrid Pavia (I asked for her name) not only found me all the supplies I needed, but also told me how to repair them. Then she actually fixed them for me, probably taking pity on my fumbling fingers. She went out of her way to help me, and took time with helping me, and her superior service made me a Ben Franklin fan for life. Thank you, Ben Franklin, for employing people like Sigrid.

We were looking for graduation knick knacks. This is the place to go when you need craft items. The staff is very helpful and only suggest items that you need, not what they need to sell. The prices are mostly good and the store is very organized and neat. The prices are clearly labeled and everything is stored logically for you to find. Theres even a club price with discounts if you join. This is a mostly one stop shop.

This is a store that because of the nature of the products, items may be difficult to find. Thats why I approached the staff on the floor who were all friendly and helpful when I asked questions. I dont go here often enough to be a paid member, but its a good place to start for some projects you may have on your list of things to accomplish.

This Location has so much items & very Clean & Organized. The Staff is So Friendly & Helpful! Any returns are processed without a problem. Its a Great Store. Plus a lot of Activities to do at different times.

There was a young woman working here I think in a supervisory position that was absolutely rude to me. I asked if they had two products, and she didnt know what they was. When we finally got her to understand, she told me to go to a fabric store. I found one of my products so I went to check out. The person at the register asked if I found everything ok. I told her no, and that I was looking for something I thought they had here. The first young woman, yelling from across the room, screams at me, sir! I told you to go to a fabric store!!. I dont need to be treated like this. I will never go back to this, or any other Ben Franklin stores.

This was my first time visiting this store. I didnt explore the entire store since it was larger than I thought and I was looking for a specific item, but it really does have a large variety of products for all kinds of crafts, from kids crafts to jewelry designing to soap making and more. I had trouble finding a smaller pack of what I needed; the first worker I asked told me that there was none. The second one I asked pointed me to a different aisle (where I did find smaller packs) and followed up with us to make sure we didnt need any more help. The second lady certainly made my trip worth it, but I was quite disappointed with the first lady. Even so, I did leave with a positive impression of the store.

I was looking for a picture frame for multiple openings to fill with 6 4 x 6 photos as a Christmas gift and this was the only place that seemed to have them and even some selection. I had called around and the standout was the customer service which can get iffy around the holidays especially as inventories go out of stock and customers get increasingly crazy. I cant remember the cashiers name but she was positive, professional, fast, and patient. I will go back for sure.

Ben Franklin is the only place to find specific craft supplies on the island. I would rather try to purchase online for cheaper, since I cant guarantee that I will find what I need here. Theyre pretty overpriced, and this one is particularly tiny. The one in Pearl City is much larger. If you are looking for something specific, better luck there. They dont really have a way to check online to see their selection, either. Sometimes they (rarely) have a coupon in the M weekly

Great service here. Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable and they all jump to help the line when a line forms at checkout. Unfortunately, Ben Franklin rarely has sales and I find their items to be very expensive.

Theyve got just about everything you might need for crafting and art. Its a lot of fun just to go and look for creative ideas.

Best places to get things from clay, paint, markers and pretty much anything you need for art, they have there. They got poster paper, things to make crafts or projects, they got things to make bracelets and necklaces, fine point pens to colored markers, and they even have snacks and drinks at the front, and much, much more.

Wanted to buy everything! They had the widest range of crafting needs I found on the island, best location!

I only give it this rating because I know they dont want me there. I look like a street person and they judge me as such. It hurts my feelings when I have to buy what I need and then deal with the stares and negativity. Ive even had staff follow me in the store as if I was trying to steal glitter or glue. I go there and grab what I need. In and out. I always pay with a credit card. Im shocked that no one has asked me for my I.D. whilst the next cashier probably has H.P.D. on speed dial. Unfortunately, its the only place that has certain items I need to construct thermal containers for my courier business. What a shame?
