Every time I go to Bev Mart I’ve been greeted by one of the friendly workers. The prices are reasonable and I’ve never had a bad time. They all have gone out of their way to be sure I have a good experience. Great place to stop for some chips, ice or beverages.Not to mention the sweet sweet Yama 🐶Big dog Bigger heart! ♥️

Tried to come in at 8pm with a small canvas bag that I use as a purse. Apparently they do not allow even small handbags. I guess they must not want female customers or people who are walking and need a bag to carry things home. The store clerk was extremely rude and refused to answer questions clarifying the policy and just told me to leave. Wont ever be back. Too bad, because I used to like this store a lot.

The store clerk is moody AF. We started coming here regular on the weekends for the great beer selection. Yes, we met the cool dog and had friendly interactions with the guy the first few times. The last time, however, was much different. As we walked in the door I thought I heard him give a greeting but I think it was just an, “Excuse me Ma’am - but I need you to leave your bag here” kind of thing. What? This tiny crossbag purse that barely fits my keys, phone, and wallet? Yes. That is a bag. Ok but you’ve never asked that of me before. Anyway, things got weird and a little heated with my pointing of other customers with bags until my husband stayed at the front with my bag so that I could go look for the beer I saw on their IG post. I was so embarrassed and flustered that I couldn’t find it and came back to the front to collect my husband and leave. Two stars for the beer. Zero stars for the clerk.

Are you stuck in quarantine? This store will deliver some liquid aloha right to your hotel! The website is pretty straightforward and the delivery fee is about as reasonable as you can expect for downtown Honolulu. Quick and friendly service!

I live nearby and go here several times a week to buy soda or snacks. My roommate is a craft beer fanatic and swears by this place, he says they have the biggest/best selection in the area. The staff is very friendly and always say hello. Thomas is cool and Yama (the pup) is always the best. They’ve been really awesome during the pandemic with keeping things super clean and taking precautions.

Great selections for beer and spirits. The employees are always friendly. They have a huge Doberman that frequents the place and he is beautiful and gentle.

The have a policy now where you have to leave your purse at the front counter, unsecured while you shop. I was told to leave when I refused as there was no way I am leaving my valuables here with the steady stream of people buying 40s. I found out that the owner Thomas had his keys stolen from there and they took off with his 4 Runner. Great way to get and keep good customers treat them like criminals.

This place is a beacon of light in an otherwise bleak covid world. Two weeks in a hotel and these guys single handedly got me thru two weeks of insanity. Love these dudes.

I generally like this place. They usually have a pretty good beer and wine selection and while not the cheapest it is convenient and good enough. However recently when I went in there with my bike I was asked to leave it outside. I informed them I had no lock for it and asked the clerk if leaving it inside for 3 minutes would be sufficient while I grabbed what I wanted and left. The clerk did not budge and I left empty handed not wanting to support a place that was not reasonably bike friendly. Hence 2 stars.Update: Cant say Im a big fan of the owners response but so be it. All I was looking for was a safe place to stash a bike for 3 minutes. Doesnt seem unreasonable to me but I guess this is where we disagree. I dont take any joy in leaving a less than positive review here but I assure you I am no entitled chump.

There is a wide variety of drinks and a nice assortment of liquor

Hawaii has so few actual liquor stores but this place fits the bill. Get plenty of beers and wines, plus some hards. When I am down this way, I alwasy stop by.

Excellent selection of whiskey. The beer is the best variety on the island. This is like a tiny bevmo.Theyve been improving the look of the store recently too. Theyre in the middle of upgrading to make more room for more selection.

This used to be my favorite go-to spot, but ever since Thomas left it has been terrible. The selection and variety went down. The service is not good at all. I used to be able to come in and get advice and opinions on my beers and whiskeys but now no one is able to help us. The current staff are unknowledgable. They would benefit from some training. And this is from someone who will come in and regularly buy hundreds in beer and whiskey. Im sad to say I will no longer be rushing in here to fulfill my beer and liquor needs...this used to be a place where I would enjoy coming in and learning about new products, but now its just a generic liquor store.

Store has decent selection of items however prices are quite high. Owner keeps doberman in store and that is scary. Owner says dog will not bite but looks quite menacing and is also against Hawaii statues for keeping pets in a store that sells food and drink items. . Since owner did not take permission to advertise alcohol or store, state officials have prohibited the owner from any advertising, hence the ugly tapes all over the store windows.

The owner was very accommodating to help us find our drink.

Under a new management, this store is being gradually transformed into a full-on liquor store with an ever increasing selection, while still stocking most of the products it always had.Call them at 947-5100 or check it out in person.
