I am giving this company 1 star because the alterations on my wedding dress were extremely low quality. I bought my dream dress about 6 months ago and I loved it when they had the clips on to reflect how the dress would look after being altered. I came back to get my dress altered, and they altered my dress but it still did not fit me at all. I told them that I did not like it, so they altered it some more. However, I could not tell a difference. The dress was loose and baggy and was several sizes too big on me. They told me that they could not make the dress any tighter. I took the dress to another alteration shop, and the moment I put the dress on the seamstress said that the dress was wayyy to loose! She said that it was possible to make the dress much tighter, and she also fixed several other issues that the dress had, such as the bust not fitting. I paid Bijou about $350 to alter my dress and it looked awful! I almost went and bought a new dress entirely. I am so grateful that I found another seamstress who actually knew how to hem a dress to make it fit properly. Her prices were also much lower, and she provided 100x better quality.My fittings at Bijou were always super rushed, as if they were trying to get me out the door as quick as possible and not listening to what I was saying.Only upside to Bijou is that the front desk worker is very friendly! They have nice dresses, but I HIGHLY encourage you to get your dress altered somewhere else.

What I loved about bijou was, they were the only bridal salon that let me look through the dresses. I had gone dress shopping prior, and though I knew what I wanted BUT Joanne was so helpful in getting me to try different styles. Turns out the dress I chose was one Joanne had picked. Definitely recommend, they were patient with me, and actually provide their expertise (which with being indecisive was very helpful).

Bijou was the first shop I ever visited to try on wedding dresses and I was pleasantly surprised to have left with a purchase! Millie was patient, understanding, and honest. She made the whole experience smooth and exciting. I said yes to the dress that Millie had suggested I try on even though it was less of the style I was going for. If it wasn’t for her expertise I would’ve left empty handed. I’m thrilled I found thee dress for our big day. Mahalo Millie!

It was my first time at Bijou Bridal and it was such an amazing experience! The person who helped me was Millie and she knew which dresses to pick out for me based on the pictures I showed her. I was able to find my beautiful wedding dress from that one visit after searching for a month! So happy that I went there!

I made an appointment at Bijou because many other brides I know found their dress here & said it was the best places they shopped at. Because of COVID you have to make an appointment, which is very easy. You have 1 hour & can have 2 guest. I thought 1 hour was too short of a time frame to find a dress, but I was totally wrong. A few days before my appointment I registered & shared my Pinterest board. On the day of I was helped my Millie & she picked out exactly what I wanted. I also chose a few to try. The second dress I tried on was the one! (and one I actually had on my Pinterest board). Millie was so amazing, just the person you need when finding a wedding dress. She literally brought tears to my eyes as she put on my vail to show me the final look. I will totally recommend Bijou to all brides!

Wow, this place is absolutely dreamy! First of all, the customer service here is amazing! The dresses are outstanding and priced very well! The woman who owns the boutique makes dresses as well and I truly think she belongs in NYC for bridal fashion week, because her dresses are amazing! (I bought one of them!)I had previously bought a dress in Virginia 8 months before my wedding & something wrong happened about 2 months before the wedding date. I came to Bijou Bridal searching for help in buying another dress and their team really helped me! There was no stress or any feeling of being rushed. Pauline helped me with the dresses and she was very lovely, such a sweet heart! To be honest, Bijou Bridal has an amazing amount of choices in dresses than any other bridal boutique Ive ever been to!Long story short, I only had a little over a month until I needed a dress fitted and ready to go overseas. The Bijou Bridal team really made me feel so special, they kept me up to date with all things, and are very polite and attentive to your needs/wants. I received the dress in time, did all the fittings in time, and was so so happy with the results of my dream dress!I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Loved the staff, all the gowns they have, and the service.

TLDR; Leslie was patient with me, visiting twice. The process was great, and I cant wait for my dress to arrive! I will update after alterations with wedding photos ^_^*photo i uploaded is not my dress!*Story time: I came to Bijou once because I wanted to try Watters/Wtoo dresses - I found 2 that I liked, very different silhouettes. We were allowed to walk around and pull dresses that were interesting. I couldnt decide so I went home to think about it - then everything shut down for Covid.I went to one other bridal shop a few months later and while they had nice dresses that were in budget, they were more than 2x the price of the ones I liked at Bijou.I came back to Bijou for the Madi Lane trunk show. Because of Covid - they are appointment only, we were asked to wear masks, to only have 1 guest, and to sanitize when we arrived. There was one other appointment and she left quickly, so we had the salon to ourselves, although theres a strict 1 hour time limit. eslie was great about taking photos on my phone so I could see the back and what it looks like from afar. She let me switch back and forth a couple times. Finally I asked to try a veil and that sealed it for my mom.One thing I didnt realize was that it was going to take more than clips for me to see my dress - it was hard for me to think dresses looked right on me, because they were too big for me. Leslie helped me imagine what the dress is supposed to look like, looking past the giant clips, the V neck being too wide, the cups gaping, there being too much fabric up top in general when in reality the style is fitted and dainty. Then I started to really see how sexy and couture the design should be. Once she helped me see that in my mind, I knew I was going to make the choice right there and then!Did I mention it was 1/2 of my budget?!They took my measurements, and went though the contract, advising me on what size to order based on my measurements which were between sizes, and me wanting it to be very fitted (no returns!). Im basically eloping whenever the dress is ready, so Im so excited for it to arrive and for alterations to start!Its so so important to me that the dress feel fit to me, and I have no doubt Bijou is going to come through! From the start, they made me and my mom feel welcome, didnt pressure me for being indecisive, I never felt bad about myself. Im so happy to have come to Bijou!

I loved my experience here today and I FOUND my WEDDING DRESS! Millie did such an amazing job because she loves what she does and genuinely cares about the bride. She asked me to choose a couple dresses I liked and she then picked some after looking at my choices. She makes you feel comfortable and gives great advice. Also, I was the only bride in the store because of their COVID procedures so it was such a great experience! They also worked with my budget so that I could get my dream dress!!! BRIDES, come here. Bijou was the second dress shop I visited and I was very happy with the service and dress selection. Im tall and a curvy and previously struggled to find a slection of dresses to try on. I found and bought a dress that I love that is in my budget! My sales person was very patient with me even though I went over my time limit. She was also able to give me realistic expectations to get my dress completed in the short time that I have before my wedding. I was referred here by a friend and I will definitely will refer my friends in the future!

As a plus size woman, I was a bit nervous about my first time trying on wedding dresses. I was concerned that there wouldn’t be many dresses I could actually try on. I wanted to feel that special moment of seeing myself as a bride.I was quickly relieved of my fears when I walked into the Bijou Bridal boutique. Meli, the consultant assisting me for the appointment, lead me to rows of beautiful white gowns all in my size. I couldn’t believe that everything hanging was for me to try on! It felt like the entire store was pulled specifically for me.After trying on a number of gowns I was feeling like a bride. I felt Millie was really listening to my wants and quickly producing a gown to that specification. My mother and brother were along with me to help me make the decision and everyone knew when I came out in “the one”.Bijou Bridal provided me not only an absolutely gorgeous gown, but with a wonderful experience I will remember fondly.

This shop is beautiful, I loved the selection of dresses! Pauline was so helpful and nice! I did find my dress within 45min and I am very picky.

We didn’t have an appointment but tried calling from the front door. Leslie answered, wasn’t supposed to let us in, but did, and found me a wedding dress within the hour! It was fast, and she immediately found dresses that not only looked great, but were perfect for a garden day wedding; not too long, light weight and cooler! On top of that the dress was 50% off! We’re ecstatic and excited for our special day!

I said yessss to the dress today at Bijou Bridal! The whole experience was wonderful. They sent a pre-registration questionnaire asking about the wedding date, venue, vision, dream dress, and Pinterest board. The show room was beautiful, well-lit, and allowed for proper distancing due to Covid-19. Millie, my sales associate, was wonderful and listened to my feedback as well as my friends’ feedback. I looked at another boutique the same day, but came right back to Bijou. Luckily they were able to bring me in to try on the dress once again to seal the deal! I’m on cloud 9 about my wedding dress experience and can’t wait to be a #bijoubride!

Everyone made me feel so welcome and good in my dress! I went wedding dress shopping alone because of covid and I was really nervous but Pauline helped me go through every dress and style I liked. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I am a newly pregnant bride and was looking for a dress that made me feel amazing and I would still work for being 7 months pregnant. I went to my appointment without really knowing what would work and Millie went above and beyond to help me figure out what could and could not be altered to fit a growing belly. The manager Leslie was also most helpful in getting my dream dress. Not to mention my entire appointment they helped me show my dresses on FaceTime with my mom and sister.I went home and then started to worry that the dress wouldn’t work and started to panic! Having already lost a baby I knew the stress was not good and called the shop. Millie answered the phone and definitely set my mind at ease with their willingness to work with my situation and honesty they care about the brides! I am going in again in 2 months to check the sizing and know they will work with whatever happens. This is truly a store that cares about people and what the bride wants. Very personal experience and ability to relate to people. Get your wedding dress here!

My experience at Bijou was wonderful!Bijou was the second Boutique that I visited this past weekend and the place where I had my bridal moment and said YES to my dress. I had not expected to find my dress on island, and was further convinced of this after visiting the first Boutique. I mustve tried on 15 dresses at the first Boutique, which ranged from definitely not to okay but Id have to change XYZ, and the prices were pushing my budget.Once I stepped into Bijou it was a completely different experience. It felt like the Bridal Boutiques you see on TV, and due to the pandemic I was the only bridal appointment at that time and had the place to myself. My eyes were immediately drawn to multiple dresses and Millie assisted me with grabbing a few that matched my Pinterest board. (Theyd contacted me ahead of time to get an idea of what I liked)Im not exaggerating when I say I tried on four dresses and I loved each and every one. They were all beautiful in their own right and I could picture myself getting married in each one, but that second dress, it stole my heart. As soon as I put it on, and before Millie even zipped and clipped me in I was already crying. I did not think I was going to get this moment, but even thinking about it now, it brings tears to my eyes.After showing My Dress to everyone I snuck a peak at the price tag preparing myself for an out-of-budget amount, but it was less than HALF of my budget! In fact each dress I tried on at Bijou was in my budget.The dress I tried on was about 4 sizes to big for me, but Millie and Leslie (their seamstress) did an incredible job at helping me to envision it in my size, along with creating a lower backline.Also, due to the pandemic I was only allowed two guests, but I brought my IPad and was able to have my friends and family Zoom in. Millie and Leslie were very patient with me bringing the IPad close to show everyone the details and showing them different angles of the dresses so that they could get the full experience.Im so glad that I found my dress and I cant wait to continue working with the Bijou team!

Went here a bunch of times with my sister as she was looking for, altering, and picking up her wedding dress. Staff was very helpful. I think their inventory was bigger than most of the other places we went to. A lot of the gowns were definitely something I only saw here. Parking lot is on South Street. Lots of stalls.

The dress selection is amazing, the shop is very pretty and the husband and wife owners are soooo nice. I ultimately purchased my dress somewhere else because I fell in love but I wish they had it here.The selection is ample and there are a lot of beautiful dresses under $1,000. Plus they take s much time letting you try on as many as you need to find the one.

I scheduled several appointments for my future daughter-in-law to try on bridal dresses while we were on Oahu (we live on Kauai). Bijou Bridal was beautiful, impeccably clean, quiet with a very helpful staff and also has parking. The part that made it different than the other places we went to, was that they had lots of dresses displayed, not just hanging tightly on a rack. The dress that she fell in love with was the very last one she tried on that Pauline thought she might like. Pauline was so sweet and helped her not only with trying on, but even helped with a FaceTime to her mom, sister and grandma on the mainland so they could see it too. Leslie took all of her measurements before ordering and we also got a discount when placing the order. I would highly recommend Bijou Bridal for any brides-to-be.

This was my second bridal gown fitting and I was extremely nervous going into my appointment (my first fitting at another location didnt go like I wanted). I was also by myself since my family was unable to travel from the mainland to join me, but as soon as I walked into the salon I was greeted so warmly I left all my apprehension at the door.Millie was extremely kind, informative and guided me through my selections. She really told me about each of the dresses and in a way that a friend would tell a friend. She also helped me FaceTime my mom and sister so that they could be a part of this big day too! She even teared up with me when I found the dress! Leslien, the general manager, was also a part of this process and made me feel so comfortable, she really took her time when she talked to me about alterations, and I have no doubt that my dress will look like it was made for me.I cant say enough good things about these ladies, the quality of their service or the class at which they run their business. I would highly recommend anyone looking to have a quality time looking for the dress of their dreams with people who you can trust, to give Millie and Leslien a call.
