Overall my experience was very good even though it started out less than ideal. I scheduled my appointment online to have my tires replaced. When I arrived at my scheduled time I was told that my appointment was never accepted even though the email I received after scheduling the appointment made it seam like everything would be ready to go when I arrived and that I would only be contacted if there was a problem. After talking to the staff briefly they were able to squeeze me in.Before starting the work they told me that they didnt have a full set of the tires I had ordered but another store close by did, so someone went and picked up the tire. I dont think that this would have been needed had my online request been reviewed and approved before I arrived. Them having to go get the tire took some additional time but I was happy that the work was getting done!As I waited it became apparent that this location was woefully understaffed causing the work to take much longer than it should have. This is no fault of the employees working there that day, they were all very professional and helpful... But it is clear that they need more people.I am satisfied with the work that was done and the staff that I interacted and I will be going back to have other work done on my car. However, I feel like the online ordering/scheduling process and how that is communicated to the customer could be improved upon. Next time I will probably call and confirm that my scheduled work has been accepted before arriving. They also need more people at this location.

So I went in there with abs traction control and downhill assist light on because of a bad speed sensor that built into the bearing hub. They said they tested it by just connecting it without installation. Took 100 for diagnostic fee. It’s a rip off there! Be aware! The lights turned off after installing a new bearing but I got it installed from a trusted place! I wish I could give -5 star!

Guy behind the register lied. Said he checked my truck out and he didnt. It was close to closing time. Front end alignment and tire rotation.... they need better customer service. Also playing music loudly in the shop with profanity... Looking back at he couldnt have check my front end. Dude just pulled my trk on the rack, thats it....

Unless you have a appointment dont go wanted to get a tire repair and I was told I have get in line behind major car repair because he only have two techs working and if l need it to be fix I will have to leave it and get it tomorrow, but no one was working at the time. You will think with all those cars about six that I could see there would be all kind of work going on there was nothing. Maybe if I would have made a appointment this would not be a problem

I never write reviews but I’ve never been mishandled and had such incompetent and rude service. I bought two new tires in Mobile, AL at the Firestone there. By the time I arrived to Birmingham I was experiencing low tire pressure so I naturally called the nearest Firestone to have to issue looked into. I immediately informed them that I wasn’t from Birmingham and that I wanted to go home today so I needed my car backend asked if that was possible as so this was around 10am and I was told “get it on in here and we will look at it”I get it towed there and went about my day but never got a call so I called NO ANSWER, so I had to go to the location at about 4, my car hadn’t been looked at. I wait until 6 only to find out I have a cracked rim and they can’t repair it. Remember I’m not from Birmingham and at this point anyone that could fix it is closed. So I’m then told I can get my rim take it to be repaired and then bring it back. So I get a hotel room make arrangements to get the rim taken to the repair place. I call and ask can I have it picked up, they said no I couldn’t leave the car.....THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I WAS TOLD YESTERDAY. Then to add insult to injury ADRIAN was extremely rude and threw us own coworker under the bus by saying “yea I’m sure she she said that, she sweet but her information is often inaccurate.” So I had to get another tow from there to a place that could actually fix my car. It was the miscommunication, lack of empathy and rudeness for me....I won’t disparage the entire Firestone but I wouldn’t go to this one.

Man an appointment to the home wood location showed up on time after sitting for an hour they come and tell me there over booked. Ok let’s reschedule never got a phone call back to reschedule. Very bad customer service on there part. So I call them “oh sorry we still can’t see u “ now my car is shaking in bad need of a wheel alignment have to go somewhere else.. oh yeah forgot I purchased lifetime alignment but nah can’t use it.. what a waste of time !!!

They had no idea I already knew about the situation with my vehicle, they tried to turn a less than $300 parts and labor situation into a $900 dollar proposition by verbally lying and then acting dumb lol. I went next door to Midas. I recommend that Midas over that Firestone religiously! End of true story. The one star was to share an honest review also.

Experienced wonderful customer service from managers Toya and Adrian both times I’ve come here. Other staff seemed friendly and professional as well. Reasonable wait times.I recommend making an appointment or calling before you go to get time estimates - seeing many people complain about just showing up and then services taking too long, but if they have multiple cars ahead of you and only so many staff, I’m not sure what you expect without calling ahead of time.10/10 recommend!

Service was fantastic. The people there were very nice and glad to help me when I came in. This is the only location that can handle my truck so it was a shot in the dark that they would have availability. They worked me in right away and even added some complementary inspections.

I have been told to stop using them and I should have listened. I came to get an oil change and despite taking the typical 2 hours I havent seen my car in the last 30 minutes. I got an oil change! My car is parked in a grass lot across the street and has been there with no one telling me it is ready. I had to ask them to go get it for me . They say this is normal...

Had a flat, called it in, brought in vehicle, was promptly inspected, was advised that it couldn’t be repaired due to the puncture location, I thought that this would be the case due to the location of the puncture, replaced tire the next day with the same tires on this 2018 Honda CRV TOURING. LaToya, manager was professional, friendly, and called me to keep me advised as to progress, also gladly (no hassle) met lowest advertised price on the tire and installation, tire was replaced and I was on my way, was very well satisfied with the entire process especially the help that LaToya provided, good job!

I needed a front end alignment on my Ford Explorer, and everywhere I called, the price was $90, Firestone has a deal until Nov 15 for $20 off the $199 price for a lifetime alignment for the life of the vehicle! If you live in Homewood, or anywhere in BHaM, you know how awful the roads are, potholes, breaks in the concrete, bad repair from where the city has torn up the road, I will be needing this!The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I was told 45 minutes, to do my service, it was 45 minutes before they got to my truck, and I was watching the guys work, and they moved so slow, the guy was talking to another employee with my paper after the work was done, and I had to go out and ask if he was done and would he take my papers to the checkout counter so I could leave. I also heard an employee tried to say he was done with the car when the front desk girl said no the work has been approved he acted like he did not want to do it I don’t know if they are overworked or what but they’re definitely not motivated to move fast.

Anthony and all the staff were very friendly and helpful, explained everything and made sure that all the vehicle’s issues were addressed. And given it’s a 16 year old car that is a tall order. They communicated really well and didn’t make me feel stupid... yes, that has happened at other car care businesses. Respect goes a long way in my book!

Charged way too much for repairing the brakes and axel in my car. I had to return my car multiple times to keep having more fixed and now have decided to just live with the other issues my car has. Their comprehensive inspection is either not comprehensive or they are not fixing what they say they are fixing.

Overcharged for brakes big time. I made an appointment the day before, was the first person in the store that day. I was told it would take no more than two hours to replace my front brakes. After 5 hours, me missing work and classes, I had to continuously go back and talk to mechanic because they did not check to make sure they had all the parts before taking my car apart. They had to send someone out to all other stores to find a single screw to fit, if it wasnt found I would have had to leave my car until one came in. This is not an exaggeration, it took 5 hours and I almost didnt get to drive home because I got a BRAKE REPLACEMENT. They also broke part of my brakes (which is why it took so long, because they were trying to cover their tracks before telling me they couldnt fix it without it being obvious) and said the only reason they werent charging me for THEIR faulty handling is because it was taking so long! They kept pulling me back to show me what all is wrong with my car, trying to ring me up for useless things I can do myself and charge hundreds. Interesting a lot of these things were nowhere near or had anything to do with brakes which tells me a decent amount of their time is dedicated to looking and sniffing out other problems to charge you for. Im sorry but a single young woman in college, driving an 01 hyundai accent, do I really look like I can afford a $600 bill and a full day stuck in a repair shop? I would go anywhere but here. Will definitely not be returning.

I made an appointment and was told it would take 1.5 hours to rotate my tires and do an alignment. Went in for a 1:00 appointment after sitting for a hour and a half I ask how much longer it would be because my car still had not been touched. I was told they still had to take a lunch and then they would get to my car. I was expecting to already be leaving by this time. That would mean another 2 hours. I had made an appointment so I could do this during my lunch I had to leave after sitting 1.5 hours without my car being touched. Very disappointed.

These guys are always so great. Ive been going to Firestone for over a decade now. This one only gets me when Ive had an issue on my way from work. Maintenance happens closer to my home. Theyre always terrific and never flustered even when busy.

Dont waste 2 hours for service you can get it done in 15 minutes at other places.Came in at 9:45am to get an oil change. I ask if I have to make an appointment or do I hace to wait a staff did not answer me. I ask the staff if they can do it now. He replied yeah. I left my car, walk across the street to McDonalds. Came back at 11:04am my car still park at the same spot. I went into the waiting area. 11:08am they finally take my car into the garage for the service. 11:49am, the service has finished. They charged me 15 bucks less than other places but it does not worth the wait.I was once drive a Firestone. Appreciate the tire quality. But the service here is different thing.Getting your oil changed? Go to Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers, go to Goodyear Auto Service, go to anyplace but dont come here for that!

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Pep Boys is next door. Extremely disappointing experience. Went in for oil change, tire rotation, balance, and a plug from a nail. Left with oil change (I hope), and tire plugged. The back tires ended up having nails so they were plugged. Got back to work after 2 hours of patiently waiting (on an extremely slow day for them) and noticed both back tires were plugged, so they clearly didnt rotate them. Did they balance the tires? Did they change my oil? Only God knows these answers folks.They said I need a fuel additive and I agreed for the $5 special (Why not). They came back to me and said they couldnt figure out how to pour it into the tank. I have an easy fuel gas tank, its a 2010, nothing new here. All you need is a fuel nozzle size funnel, sold everywhere. You would think that Firestone has a funnel in the shop. When they told me they couldnt pour the additive I told them it had the easy fuel cap and I had opened it before, and the lady at the computer said to me, and I quote, Good luck with that.Like I said, disappointed in this place. I have called the 1-800 number and left a complaint. Did they even change my oil? My service technician was Kevin. And the rude sales lady was Gail. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

Amazing customer service and auto service from Chris Jennings and Auto Tech Paul. I visited four auto service centers before coming to here and no one was able to replace a signal light. My dealer said it would take two hours (wait time) so I was ready to trade the vehicle in. Mr. Paul replaced the part in less than five minutes! Mr. Chris Jennings customer service surpass Chickfila and this is not a restaurant! They will have all my business in the future!

Took my truck in at 8:30 a.m. and dropped it off. Came back after work and they had just started on it. The whole point in bringing it early was so that I did not have to wait and they waited until the end of the day to start on it and I was there until almost closing time. Not cool!

Ive been using Firestone as my service provider since I was old enough to drive. The Firestone location on Green Springs repeatedly makes me secound guess myself. Against my better judgment I arrived today at 7:15 to find they havent opened yet. They open at 7. Waited for 20 minutes and drove to Pep Boys where they will gladly accept my money

I dont care about what the other reviews say & Ive had my share of problems with other Firestones in the past myself, but I had an issue with a tire sensor while travelling. I went here near opening, skipped the service desk & went straight to to garage desk & explained my problem. He graciously checked the air in my tires & inspected them, checked the sensors with his hand unit & directed me how to reset the warning. I was back on my way, without the worry of a flat tire, in less than 15 minutes! No telling what set it off, but it is no longer an issue & it was FREE of charge! Thanks Firestone!

HORRIBLE!!!!!!! I bought 4 brand new Powell tires (Firestone brand) after Christmas they all popped in February one by one I hit a pothole and I have a blowout, just that easy!!! Well, I had a 40,00 limited warranty on them I didn’t even go far on mileage within the time span. I called to see about replacements without coming out of my pocket all over again because I already spent $215-330.00 on service and didn’t know why the tires was popping so easily well people THEY DID NOT HONOR MY WARRANTY NOT EVEN CONSIDER THE FACT I DIDN’T HAVE THE TIRES ON MY CAR FOR AN ENTIRE 2 MONTHS BEFORE THEY STARTED To BLOWOUT which is very dangerous!!!! I was livid because THEY DON’T CARE. Their only about money not good services because they knew they sold me 4 dried out tires. I WILL NEVERGET MY CAR SERVICE HERE AGAIN!!!! & wouldn’t recommend ANYONE else to go either!

The people are really nice, but man they are slow. I had my car in there for 8 hours just to get an oil change and a single tire swapped out. Thats just ridiculous and a total waste of my time. The vehicle was done 3.5 hours after the suggested to me that it would be. Might be using pep boys across the street next time.

They can have expensive prices, but if you own a car you plan on keeping a long time, it might be worth buying a lifetime alignment and tire balance whenever you buy a new set of tires. They typically have good summer discounts.Also, you can almost always find an oil change coupon online for a $20 or $30 oil change.

I went to get a few things checked out and they took my perfectly good head cover gasket and messed it up and tried blaming someone else. They made it leak again and it cost me over $100 to fix. They got silicone all over the head cover gasket and my bumper too. I wont be coming back to the greensprings location ever again.

I called a few weeks ago about an oil change and they said to come in, but once I arrived they said they were too busy. I called earlier today and they said come at 3:30. I arrived 5 minutes early and my car was not taken back until 4:15. Its 4:45 and Im still waiting. I will now have to drive in rush hour traffic to get to my 5:00 meeting that I will certainly be late for. Dont schedule appointments if you dont actually start at the scheduled time!!!

Worst experience ever. William is absolutely stupid. I asked for rotation and alignment. He put the spare tire on the front right wheel and it took 3 hours from him to do it and in the end I had to go and help him to tooke the sare tire down. It was definitely a abysmal experience. Also He put all his cloths mess on my car furniture. Never approach this branch location at all.

Do. Not. Come. Here. If you do, make this your last choice after shopping around. I am a broke college student who went in because I needed a shop to tell me what was up with my car overheating and to fix it. I gave them an idea of the problem (my coolant kept leaking) and they went on to do the full diagnostic (I wanted to know all the problems; $100). When I got the report back, they couldn’t even explain what half of the sensors meant. Whatever.They fix what they do know and charge me another $250 for everything. While they are fixing my car, I leave. I had been there 2 hours already and I was told I would be called when my car was ready. I catch an Uber home and 20 minutes later my car was done. That annoyed me a bit because the desk people could’ve just asked the mechanics how long they would take but I just got a friend to take me back when she could (~1hour later).When I show up, my back window is down....and it is raining....so my back seat is soaked. All they say is “o sorry. Here are some paper towels”. Then I start my car and the tire pressure light is on. I figured I just needed to add some air and pull off. When I get home I look at the full diagnostic and nothing was wrong with my tires or steering. Well, the next morning I go to school (a 4 min drive) and hear a “sssssssssssssssss” when I get out of my car. I go check my tire and there’s a SCREW in it! Not a nail that you would find on the street. A thick screw. So I call them back calmly and try to get this fixed. No where in my diagnostic does it say my tires were punctured and I went right home after leaving the shop. I try to call Sunday but I am told to come Monday to get this fixed. What they didn’t say was that they were going to charge me another $40 to fix my tire! Girl bye. I went right across the street to Pep Boys and got the same thing done for $20. Please go anywhere else but here. I can honestly say this place is either massively negligent or a bunch of scammers. Either way, don’t trust your car with them.

I will never purchase a Firestone product or use their services again. They do not have a mileage warranty on their OEM tires as evidenced by this excerpt taken from the 2018 Nissan Leaf warranty booklet.The manager at this Firestone location gave me the run-around by blaming the tire wear on my alignment after I had just come from an alignment check at the Nissan dealership. He sent me to a third party do get another alignment check. Both Nissan and Tire Engineers did alignment checks and told me that the alignment was good. I came back to the Firestone shop and talked to the same manager after my third alignment check and he didnt give me any help at all. He just smirked and told me that he was Not not honoring his warranty. He could have just saved me the time by looking at the warranty and letting me know that the mileage warranty didnt exist.The customer service here was non-existent.

It is always a pleasure to go here, the wait is longer w/o an appointment but they are still efficient! I love that I never have to ask for specials or discounts, they apply them and tell you they will in advance, even today I watched the manager level with the customer offered the first appointment in the morning as to not waste his time, due to a walkin needing more service, they explained the issue throughly, and added a discount for his inconvenience, even applied it today so he wont have to start over again tomorrow, it was four cars in front of me, yet the time quoated was faster than expected. my battery died... like need a jump every time to start, they had the right battery in stock, and once they brought it in the wasted no time and although I have a pretty complex battery set up it wasnt complicated for them. Overall Im glad I had applied for their credit card so many years ago, (I even called customer service today, and that was pleasant and fast too, i was just checking my balance, and replacing my card, which I didnt need for payment, they just get your name and number if you are a returning customer) I was able to pay nothing upfront, get a 6 year life battery, they even took the time to verbalize the warranty features, say it failed within 2 years of purchasing I would get a new one free of charge, and if beyond that its prorated! I love the prorated feature, they do it for tires as well! If they dont make it to promised life they discount the next purchase/ replacement. Ive solicited this location for years and I have been to other locations and Ive never had a complaint. They have the same employees so that to me means retention, and they definitely have me as a customer for life.

CONSUMER BEWARE!!! Do not take your tires for repair at the Greensprings location. The employees are very, very rude and unhelpful. The second we got a new set of tires the low pressure light came on. We brought it back to be inspected and of course they say there is a nail in the sidewall that can’t be repaired. It was a weekend so we had to purchase a tire through them and they insured us they would keep our tire so we could get reimbursed from Tire Rack. When we went to pick up our car they claim our tire was picked up by a 3rd party company. But as it turns out the company only picks up on mondays. It was a compete lie!! They were beyond rude and cost us $200! Apparently, they are running a shady tire ring where they lie to customers and say their tire can’t be repaired. Since we never were able to verify the nail I don’t believe there ever was one. I would go as far to say I think they put a nail in it right before you leave. And in a spot that can be repaired so they can sell it. All while telling the customer a lie that it can’t be repaired. They are clearly lying to customers to make them buy a tire and then sell it on the side for money. We had to get the police involved so hopefully this will STOP! I wouldn’t even give them 1 star.

I took my car to this shop about two months ago. The car had a simple problem that autozone had already computer diagnosed. When I took it to the shop (recommended by a friend) they insisted on doing another computer diagnostic, for which they charged $100.00. They charged $175.00 for a part that autozone charges $75 for, and they charged nearly $200.00 for labor that should have taken less than 30 minutes. When I received my bill, I saw that they had automatically added a small charge, listed as a donation to their charitable organization. They never asked permission to do this. I probably would have been happy to donate, if they had asked but no one did and that is unacceptable. I do not recommend this shop to anyone.

Stopped by on Monday, December 18th at 5:30 PM with a tire emergency. One of our employees had damaged his valve stem. He lives in Tuscaloosa and would have been stranded overnight had it not been for the help of the fine gentlemen at Firestone on Greensprings highway. Not only did they replace the valve stem and get him back on the road in less than 30 minutes, but they also did it for free. When I tried to pay them, they just shook my hand and said have a Merry Christmas. Good service and honest business is still alive in Birmingham, Alabama as well as just good ol southern hospitality. Had tires replaced and not even a day later my brand new coolant system is leaking fluid at a ridiculous rate. They tried to place the blame on my vehicle, and attempted to charge me just to have the problem looked at. Nothing was wrong with my coolant system before they put their hands on the vehicle and now they want another $100 from me just to check the system. I will never be doing business with them again.

If there were a zero star option, I would choose it. I got suckered into buying a lifetime rotation, balance, and alignment when I bought 4 new tires 2 years ago. I had good experiences at the Oporto Madrid Blvd location, but the Greensprings location is staffed by incompetent, dishonest people.First, 6 weeks ago, I brought my wifes car in for an oil change and one of our pre-paid lifetime rotation, balance, and alignment. I picked up the car only to notice that the tire pressure on the 4 tires varied by 15 PSI among them, and it was clear that they had not rotated the tires, nor even checked the inflation. This is despite the fact that I specifically asked them ahead of time to give me a report as to what tires were moved where, tread depth, etc., as the old Firestone location used to give me each time.Around the same time I brought my car in for an oil change. They attempted to sell me new brake pads and other services, which I declined. I left that day and since then my brakes have been squealing loudly whenever I drive, which had never happened before. I came back the next day and asked them to look at it and they said they could not that day, but I could leave it over night. They did not even attempt to correct the problem.Finally, today, my wife brought her car in to have a nail hole in a tire plugged. Not only did they add $12 worth of charges unrelated to the tire plug to my wifes receipt without asking us about the additional charges, but they attempted to up sell her on an additional $200 worth of work, which she refused. The last straw was that when she drove home, she heard the same squealing brake sound in her car.Never, never, never take your car to this Firestone, or you will be sorry.

They took forever. When I asked why they told me because we dont have wipers for your car. It was going to be another hour and change for wipers. This would have been fine if someone had come and talked to me.

Awful customer service. When I called about my concerns the manager over talked me, didnt listen to what I had to say, and treated me like a number. I had to call the firestone hotline in order to get my matter solved. I will NEVER use Firestone again.
