You are a very good shop you are a very good person and I think the prices need to come down just a little bit because I came in to rotate my tires and you told me 35 other places do them for 30
Larry the mechanic is by far the most reasonable and down to earth person Ive ever met. Considering mechanics are know for being so untrustworthy. He Showed and explained to me exactly what was needed to be done to my car to get her back on the road. After this experience I trust his guidance and word. Very reasonable priced and good quality work. Never taking my vehicle back to the dealership or backyard mechanics ever again.
I got my clutch, motor mounts and headers installed here in less time than expected. The price was more than fair compared to the many shops i looked into. They even got my original nissan parts for a cheaper price than the dealer was offering. I will be taking my car here for many times to come. Thanks to all the people here. Very professional!!
For the last 5 years I have taken my older car there for CONTINUOUSLY overheating. Not sure why they cant fix that problem permanently. Took it there last week for overheating again, this time it was the coolant hose. Went in today(one week later) because the car is still over heating and the crooked man tells me that I have to pay for another diagnostics fee because it could be something else. The car has the same problem that i brought it in for last week, if you didnt do you job well to find out all the reasons why it was overheating, why should i pay you each week to continue checking for the problem instead of them looking at all possible issue the first time. TOTALLY DISHONEST
Got my oil change. Was pretty quick and affordable.
They did a great job they even did something that I forgot to mention that needed done
Always great and affordable prices. Oil changes are very quick and most repairs get done surprisingly quickly depending on difficulty. These are true professionals and you cant go wrong bring your car here.
Fair, transparent and a pleasure to work with. I cant say enough about Larry. He quoted me a fair price for the work on an older VW that other garages refused to even look at. He clearly explained all the work that would be involved so I understand what Im being charged for. Hes definitely good people. You dont feel like youre being lied to or overcharged like at other places who just want to crank out easy repair jobs for outrageous prices. Will definitely use them from now on and recommend to friends with used cars.
I was late to work and ran over two nails. They patched one and said other one didnt need a patch. They could have charged me double but they didnt. Honest people. It took less than a minute to plug my tire. Will come again.
Good service and fair prices.
I have always taken my car to the dealership to get maintenance done. This time my cousin reccomended Pro Tech Auto Repair. I was a little hesitant because I drive a luxury car. I went there yesterday morning for a brake job. When I arrived I was greeted by Larry and asked what service I needed. I told him I needed my brakes done because they had started making a noise. He let me know he would look at it and let me know what work needed to be done. It took I would say about 15 min for him to let me know what needed to be done and even that my tires needed to be rotated. I work retail so I believe I can read people pretty well. He seemed very knowledgeable and even showed me the parts that needed repair and what they should look like when completed. This is a family owned shop and it shows because they show that care and concern unlike other places that could care less. Needless to say I am very happy with the customer service and the repairs done to my vehicle. This will be my new place for any future repairs I need done to my car. Thanks again Larry!
I took my car to 4 different places they all charged me to diagnose what was wrong with my car unsuccessfully. Someone recommended me to bring it to Pro Tech Auto Repair. Their diagnosis was a bad computer, I was very reluctant to pay to have it replaced, I could not afford to continue to take it to places and not have it repaired properly. I pick my car up 2 days later it has been perfect ever since. My opinion they saved me thousands of dollars in costly repairs that would not have fixed the job.
Larry is good people and does great work. Very reputable mechanic. A Good Shop!
Larry my man got the job done right on time and didnt even charge me an arm and leg and even through in a free fuse. Thanks larry. I definitely will be using u in the near future. No more crack head mechanics for me.
Liars and scammers. They take advantage of women, over charging for things that won’t even take 5 minutes. The guy told me it would cost $80 just to look at car when I told him the wipers stopped working all of a sudden and most likely it’s the relay needing to be fixed. I went somewhere else the following day and got it corrected for $25 in less than 5 minutes.
I came to pro tech(I use this term loosely because they are expected to protect my vehicle and be pros at auto repair at the same time) auto to get an oil change, all of a sudden the owner approaches me and informs me that my door handle broke as he opened my door. Now I will be the first to tell you that my door handle was perfectly intact and durable before he touched my car. I let him know that he will have to place it and fix it, as if he was doing me a favor he said, I will fix it for free only if you pay for the part. What!!!! Why should I pay for something that you broke!??? I am not one to be petty because the door handle is just $40, but it is the principle of the whole thing, that is bad business!! Now Im stuck in my car waiting for the police because to me, this is theft, I am being robbed out of $40, a piece of mind, and my damn time!! Run far, far away while you still have a chance!!!
I just stoped at this place after I stopped at a shop down the street called stop light. Stop light told me I needed cv axle, wheel bearings and ball joints to get rid of this howling sound coming out my car. They quoted me $620 to take care of it. Pro tech assured me all I needed was a wheel bearing on one side and it would run me $190. Well I took a chance and damn it solved my problem. Im definitely trying this place again
This is the best automotive shop that I have ever been in the gentleman was very nice and took care of me right away even though he had three other cars the base he stopped working on them and took care of me out in 10 minutes for a oil change and a plug for my tire!!!!!
Burt and Larry are real friendly. Never over charge you and fix what they need to fix. They never try to get a extra dollar.
Always good my cars and my moms car to Larry he good peoples. Get the job done and does it well .
Early April of 2013 I stopped by to get an estimate on a valve cover gasket job on my suv. I met Burt who was very friendly and gave me a price of $220.00 for the job. I returned on the 11 of April and left my car with Burt. I was told it would be ready on the 12 which was good. I returned the afternoon of the 12th to pic up my car. Besides missing screws, which Burt assured me were only for a support function and necessary for performance and the gasket leaks were fixed. So I took Burt at his word. Later that day I was driving and went to use the cruise control on the highway, as I always do, and noticed that it wasnt functioning properly. I took it to Burt the next day and he located the issue. The cruise control components were broken. It looked like someone just removed the pieces carelessly. Burt informed me that he did not work my car and that it was sent to another shop (His brothers shop. Same name, but on Hallandale Bch Bld, just west of 441.) He to me no problem and he would call his brother to inform him that I was going to bring the car in and to remind them to find those missing screws also. I got in my car and drove to his brothers shop. I arrived and waited in the front lobby. I waited...Waited and waited some more as every employee and even the owner (Burts Brother), completely ignores me as they walk by and talk amongst themselves. After about 25 minutes I got up and started to walk around to maybe grab their attention. Didnt work. I jumped in my car drove to the junk yard (Upullit) retrieved the cruise control part that they broke and replaced it myself. Cost me about $10. I am not a mechanic, but small things like this are easy enough for me to figure out. So even after I had to fix the problem myself, I was happy enough to have my car back running.Or so I thought. In the next week my car started to cut off and run rough and completely stalled me out in an intersection. Scary! I pushed my car to safety and popped the hood. I noticed that the negative battery cable was loose. I tightened it and I was back on the road. (The battery cable were removed and placed back when they did the original work and obviously they could care enough to make sure it was really tight). The following week I noticed the car still running rough. I was very concerned and called Burt. He remembered me and my car. I explained to him how His brothers shop ignored me and I fixed the cruise control cable myself and told him of the car running rough and I think that his companies sloppy and careless work might have ended up causing real damage. He took my number and said he would call me back. that was weeks ago. I opened my hood and saw steam coming out of the radiator hose. I removed the hose to find the flange crack from being over tightened (again this was removed and replaced during the original gasket job) again more careless sloppy work. Only this time the plastic piece of the flange broke off inside my radiator and is now causing major overheating problems for me. thats not all. After I did not receive a call back, I had a friends uncle who is an instructor at a mechanical school in SF and he helped me zero in on the problem. One spark plug wire was off and one was loose. Evidence of more sloppy dont care attitudes at Burt and his brothers. My car has serious issues now and I am going to have to take the car into the dealer to have it repaired properly. The sad part is, I gave these guys a chance because they were in the neighborhood and It would be nice to have a local mechanic, but now I just warn everyone I know to BRING YOUR CAR ANYWHERE BUT HERE. this is the first review that I have ever taken the time to write, because I want people to not have to suffer from the same, poor, sloppy and careless work I received. Burt was really nice and friendly until I informed him of the problems caused by his mechanics. Then I was treated like I sabotaged my own car and blown off. To everyone at Pro Tech Auto Repair, I hope you are treated just the same as you have treated me! Joe
Great people and service!! Highly recommend!!
This people are rude! They must think theyre the only mechanics in town.
Honest people
Excellent service
