This business must not be interested in selling boats to informed buyers. About a month ago I went to see a 30’ Hydrocat they had for sale and found way too much corrosion behind the helm. (See pictures) After discussing with the salesman, Louis I emailed him to ask him if the boat had been submerged. He failed to respond for four days and then told me it was under contract.Fast forward 30 days and I see it for sale again. Call Louis to confirm and he says the deal fell thru because the buyer couldn’t wait for the electronics he wanted added.So I ask for the survey info and Louis says I’ll get back to you. A week later still no Louis so I call back today and was told he’ll ca me back when he gets off the phone. 7 hours later and still no return call.I believe they are concealing something they don’t want me to know or he’s hoping for a less knowledgeable buyer!I wouldn’t buy a fishing lure from this business after they drove away a cash full price buyer.Beware. You’ve been warned.I m a multiple business owner for 21 years and wouldn’t dream of treating customers this way.

I purchased a used boat from Louis at Hobe sound marine and was very satisfied and impressed with his honesty and professionalism. After purchasing the boat, James and the service department added fuel filters, a chart plotter and even help me get the boat bottom painted. Along the way, I felt very comfortable with the advice, service and pricing they offered. I would highly recommend Hobe sound marine for boat purchases and service.

Truly cant say enough great things about this company. We called them on a Monday morning as our outboard wouldnt start and we had a survey on our boat Tuesday morning. James was awesome and said he would do the best he could. They were able to troubleshoot the outboard and clean the generator and we had it back in time for our survey. Vickie was wonderful too and very personable and understanding. So happy with the services they provided. Thanks!!!!

STOLEN:Lower unit, prop & all, stolen off engine. $5000.00 loss. Owners take no responsibility.UPDATE! 06/03/2020- OWNER RESPONSE BELOW IS AN OUTRIGHT LIEThis wreaks of an inside job.Received a letter from marina telling me my unit had been stolen. I called marina several times and & finally reached someone. Stated they informed me by mail because they lost my number, however, they continued to charge my credit card for months after the theft.I asked to speak with owner & told he was busy & would call me back. My insurance company was asking for details but I couldnt get the owner to call me back.Receptionist said they were leaving on vacation & were busy. I checked my storage agreement & my phone number was clearly written on the contract.After 2 weeks of calling I finally started getting some information. Owner ( Keith) never accepted or returned my calls. They would not provide me with a police report or any details.I called the Martin County police & got it myself. Heres the details:1. Theft occurred on March 25th.2. I received a letter on June 14th. Letter was dated May 25. Checked post mark on envelope was June 7.3.I had asked the marina for date of theft they stated May2.4. Police report shows theft date of March 25. Officer noted on report he had asked who the boat owner was & marina told him they didnt know who owned the boat. ( BTW, they were charging my credit card ever month)5. My insurance company was demanding information regarding the theft. Gave them marina phone number & they were never able to get any response.6. Decided to check my call log on my phone to see when the last date was I had spoken with Marina. I found a missed call ( no msg left) from Marina on April 6th. Lost my number? Really?I had another company go to the Marina & get my boat out of there. They picked it up in front said trailer had 4 flat tires😀👍. Full service marina.Ultimately cost me thousands and thousands of dollars in recovery & repairs. Insurance refused to pay initially due to suspicious circumstances of misleading dates, unknown ownership, & claim not being filed at time of theft.Photos show condition of boat when I got it back.UPDATE!LIARS! LIARS! LIARS!To show the blatant dishonesty of these business owners I will be posting pictures of the actual documents proving all the statements I have posted above.It took 4 months to contact me regarding theft & only 4 days to post their lying response to this review.***Total time boat stored? 15 months including the 4 months they took to notify me. (Ill post pics of contract)***Police report statement by Sheriff marina owner stated they didnt know who owned the boat!!! LOL ( LIE OUT LOUD) Marina had my credit card info & was billing me every month! Ill post pics of police report, you decide whos lying.***Every statement in their reply is a lie. Ill post the documents & you decide what is true fact & decietful lies.

Gave Lewis an older 1991 Bayliner Trophy to sell for me. It was in very good shape but still a Bayliner and 30 years old. He had it gone in under 30 days for over 10k. Very pleased with the transaction. He & Vickie did a great job.

This is in response to a recent negative review by a Mr. Draper. As a representative of the buyer, I have been dealing with Hobe Sound Marine in helping my relative sell his boat. My relative agreed to sell the boat for several thousand dollars less than the advertised price if the boat was sold within a specified time frame. The buyer did not buy the boat within the specified time frame. The buyer then called a week or two after the time frame expiration saying that he would still buy the boat if the sale price was still honored.The seller agreed to honor the price for this buyer only. The buyer eventually came and saw the boat. The tires on the trailer had very little tread wire, but the buyer requested new tires in addition to the agreed upon sale price. Hobe Sound Marine agreed with the buyer, after discussion with the seller, to put on one new tire since there were some very minor cracks on one tire and to also give the buyer a spare wheel & tire because the buyer lived over 100 miles away. The buyer agreed to this; however, when the buyer showed up to transact the sale, the buyer again tried to request four new tires.This this was not the agreement, and the tire shop had already closed for the day, so this was not done. Unknown to the buyer, the tilt motor had been working intermittently the day before the buyer was scheduled to buy the boat. Upon Hobe Sound Marine notifying me of this issue, Hobe Sound Marine was instructed to install a new tilt motor at the sellers expense. This shows the integrity of Hobe Sound Marine and the seller. If anyone wants to confirm this review, Hobe Sound Marine will be able to provide you my phone number, upon my authorization. Perhaps Mr. Draper was just having a bad day.

Purchased a new-to-me boat and there was a check engine light on, called them and they took it right in the next day. They worked diligently and had it ready to go for the weekend. Great service! Thanks Chris!

Ive been storing my boat here for nearly a year now and have found them to be extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. HSM has been very pro-active in their communication around holidays, severe weather, etc... Im happy to have found them! Id highly recommend them for storage. Ill update my review after Ive experience their maintenance service.

I have used HS Marine services for over 30 years and they are wonderful in every aspect. Considerate of my needs and budgets and have never been anything other than happy with their services. I would drive hundreds of miles just to utilize their services. I depend on them to keep me running and they havent failed me yet.

They were going to sell me a boat. After my first visit I found some problems they said would be fixed. After they said all repairs were complete I drove 150 miles to pick up the boat. The original problem was still there. They said the owner would never go for fixing it and take it or leave it. Then they walked away. I then drove 150 miles back home with no boat and a wasted day.
