A variety of flavors listed on the menu, but slightly disappointed that they ran out of some so early in the evening. Waffle cones were tasty, but the scoops were so inconsistent a single I ordered had more that one of the doubles. They also ran out of caramel apples, which was the main reason we went, since the day before they closed early due to limited staff. Entertainment outside was funny.

Yummy stuff and the kids loved them making the waffle cones. Even had some sorbet options for those with dairy allergies.

Oh my goodness! The smells alone are worth the stop to check it out. Freakiest of ice creams I have ever had and perfection with the waffle bowls that are made right there in front of you.

We stopped here for ice cream after dinner and there were a lot of great flavors to choose from. We ended up ordering one scoop of chocolate-chip cookie dough in a cup and two scoops of sea-salt caramel in a cup. Both were great!! They also had a bunch of other sweets and treats if ice cream isn’t your thing.

This was our 1st time at Kilwins and it was amazing. Had a double chocolate and cherry. Very good service and they are still controlling socia distancing and limiting the amount of customers at one time.

Youll always remember how someone makes you feel and the special treatment from the manager list night will be forever remembered. Of course, the ice cream was terrific as well. Well be back ... Often!

Very good ice cream. They have a ton of unique flavors. I got the Marshmallow Smores and it was some of the best Ive had.

Ordered two flavors of fudge among other items. Got outside and one flavor was extremely dry and crumbled when I tried to cut it. Went back inside and manager said it was old and made on Tuesday (today was Saturday). Not sure why they were selling it anyway. I asked to exchange for a different flavor and went back outside. Tried the other flavor and it also crumbled. Went back inside for a third time (with my poor 5 year old who just wanted to eat her treat outside). I showed the manager the second piece of fudge crumbled all over the box and asked to exchange for something other than fudge. Instead of apologizing and trying to make it right, I was given two pieces of chocolate that were clearly less value than what I had spent for the useless fudge. It was a very disappointing experience. The quality of the chocolate wasn’t great either.

Ice cream was fantastic. Purchased chocolate covered pretzels too and didnt realize it was $13 for approximately 30 mini pretzels. Got back to the hotel and tried them. I was so disappointed that they were stale.

Long lines when we headed there 10 minutes before closing time. They made sure everyone got their desserts. The magician did a great job keeping everyone entertained while waiting in line.

Ditto what another reviewer said. The inside is a mess. Ice cream dripping down the glass at the counter, carts and trays stacked all over the lobby, cardboard boxes full of stuff in the lobby area. Covid has really made businesses lazy! The staff is all teenagers which is another common theme it seems these days. Owners hang out on their boats all day and let inexperienced teens run the shop. Spend an hour after the store closes and clean up the mess! On top of that, I could get a carton of Breyers strawberry ice cream for the same price as two scoops here and the Breyers is far better.

Oh my god, so freaking good! Absolutely amazing, Georgia peach is to die for. They did a great job with the distancing for the pandemic inside the store. A must if you’re in Hilton head!!!

The ice cream itself is pretty good. However, the fact that the building is hotter inside than it is outside makes for a miserable experience. On top of that, the inside is disgusting! The place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks. The staff is frantically rushing around with no communication. Will not be returning.

I had salted caramel and chocolate brownie (had some big brownie chunks which I loved) with a waffle cone. Some of the best ice cream ever!! Staff was super friendly.

We love Kilwins! We go every chance we get. There was a long line and they only let a few people in at a time. But the customer service was great.

Soooooooooooo good! The ice cream was amazing! An they serve it in a warm waffle cone or cake cone. But not to warm that it will melt your ice cream! But just enough to make it so much better! But the staff are a little, um shall we say distracted ( was the only one in the store...) but great place other wise!

We tried to go here tonight for dessert but they said they were short staffed and wouldnt take any customers 20 minutes before closing. They cut off the line and said everyone had to leave. It was extremely disappointing and shocking that the staff wouldnt care about losing business for this franchisee. We definitely wont be back after being treated that way.

Really disappointed in Kilwins this trip. We’ve tried to go like four times and they’re closed. Phone line says the hours are one thing, the door says another but neither are accurate as we rolled up when you were supposed to be opening and no one was there/door were still locked. Not gonna bother driving back over there again.

I dont know if hes the Manager but Max at the Shelter Cove location is a GEM! We had a decent order, 8 people, all different types of orders (cones, cups, double, single, pints), and not only was he super patient with us, he disclosed he grabbed the one flavor we were looking for Blue Moon (we didnt know it was a seasonal flavor) and he also had 2 other discontinued flavors that we ended up trying and purchasing. Max thank you so much for being so patient with us while also training the other 2 people in the store. The Two-berry pie was FIRE 🔥

Limited number of customers, guests and associates wear masks, sanitizer at the door, great service inside, and scrumptious ice cream and chocolate treats! What more could we ask for?

Didnt ask if we needed help. Told us the price like we couldnt afford a $12 milkshake. There is a pattern in Hilton Head that is shameful and backwards as hell. There is a select few places here that doesnt treat patrons of color like this. This isnt one. Chik Fil A has a better milkshake.

The staff was disorganized, two of the four members of our party received the wrong type of ice cream that we ordered and we didnt notice until after we paid so didnt bother asking for corrections. the ice cream and treats were very disappointing compared to the Sarasota and St Pete Florida locations we have frequented. I always rave about Kilwins ice cream and fudge from our always top notch Florida visits but the Hilton location seemed sub par on everything we tried.

Very impressed with how they handled social distancing. We waited outside and were entertained by a magician. A server took orders if you didn’t want to go inside. We opted to go inside. A worker escorted us with an umbrella since it was raining. Hand sanitizer outside And inside the door. Employee pumped it for us and held the door Both ways. Great Icecream of course!!

I love that they’re open until 9:30! I got a pregnancy craving for ice cream at 9pm and they were the only shop open until 9:30pm and the ice cream was amazing and didn’t disappoint!

The ice cream was good but very expensive. We expected to pay a lot, given we were on the Island during peak vacation season. The store practiced very good Covid-19 safety in the store. Unfortunately the reason for the low rating is because our whole experience was ruined by a guy outside the store wearing a Kilwins shirt supposedly there to entertain people. He said he was a magician, but we didnt give him a chance to do any tricks. He came up right next to us with his mask down below his nose. My son called him on it and he got somewhat nasty. We ended up having to eat our ice cream in our car. Weve seen this guy at other places on HHI wearing shirts from the establishments and acting the same way. If I were the store owner, I wouldnt allow it.

Love kilwins! The workers were extremely nice. My first time at this one in Hilton Head! I raved to my family about Kilwins. I have been to the one in Atlanta, Wilmington NC, Cary, NC, and Raleigh NC never had an issue. I told my family about the home made waffle cones and fudge. But today our waffle bowl cones were stale. I told the gentleman and he apologized and gave me chocolate for the inconvenience. But I still love kilwins!

This place was amazing! You can split a single scoop and both the Kilwins Mud and the Praline Pecan were delicious. The staff was very friendly and snapped a picture for us as well. Great place and large selection of ice cream.

As always, the staff are helpful and friendly. Kilwins offers a wide variety of sweets, which are made in shop. All fresh and delicious. The shop not only offers chilling air to save you from the heat, but has a heavy, sweet aroma that fills the air! Kilwins is a stop my family has to make every time we are in town. With the Covid-19 crisis, Kilwins has stepped up to make sure they are cleaning immaculately as well as serving up the best fudge(I love the Sea Salt caramel, yum!). I dont even have to go to the shop, because they are now offering delivery with door dash. Thank you for staying open and serving high quality sweets that help me stay sane❤️

I was so impressed by the hospitality here. My wife loves the location in Missouri and was excited to see one on our vacation here. We walked in minuets before they closed and the staff had a smile before we even opened the door. They recommend us flavors we would like and never rushed us. If you like the mint chocolate chip ice cream you will love the peppermint flavor!!

Had a Kooler. Very tasty. Was extremely sweet to me but that probably has a little to do with me not drinking full sugar drinks anymore. It was a great treat after a long ride.

08/10 (My Birthday) @ 2:45 PM. Never got a chance to even try the ice cream because the cashiers customer service was HORRIBLE!! No greeting, never asked how she could help us...she literally stood there and stared. That is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE experience Ive had in this area!I never understood why people work with the public if you dont have a good personality.....you are the face of your establishment, DO BETTER!!!

Kilwins was so good! The ice cream was delicious, the atmosphere was great with nice outdoor and indoor seating, and the smell of the freshly made waffle cones was amazing. The employees were incredibly nice and they were very accommodating of allergies with a menu naming all of the ice creams with different allergens and when said that there was an allergy, they offered to open a whole new tub of ice cream. Highly recommend!!!

Great Desserts!!! The Double Peanut Butter Pie and Traverse City Cherry are both great ice cream flavors, and the Buckeye and Mint Oreo are great as well. We went here about four times on our trip and every time was great. Defiantly recommend this place if you are nearby!

Great ice cream. Very nice selection and great location in the downtown Shelter Cove area. This ice cream, fudge and candy shop has some of the best homemade ice cream in the area and with its location on the corner of Shelter Cove lane inside the Shelter Cove shopping plaza is a nice area to sit. Tables and benches are available out side the shop. The make some of the best chocolate peanut butter ice cream with chunk of peanut butter inside the delicious chocolate ice cream. Give this a try when in the Shelter Cove area.

Easiest review ever -> This is the best ice cream youll find. When you crack the door to walk in the smell of goodness will make you want to try everything!My recommendation -> PB ice cream on a waffle cone. Wow.

Attempted to order a two flavor ice cream sunday with all the toppings. Was told i could only order off your pre printed list. Stange how last week we were able to. Quess you have a new policy of no custom desserts.

Ordered through doordash and when i got my order everything was absolutely delicious, best Marshmallow S’mores ice cream hands down and my daughter loved the chocolate covered Oreos plus it came with a cute thank you note from Keira which was super sweet and totally unexpected. Would 100% recommend to anyone that is down here for vacay.

The chocolate toasted coconut ice cream is amazing!

I went here with my wife, two daughters, and two of their friends. The line was a little long but well worth the wait! Definitely the creamiest ice cream weve ever had. The free sample of fudge while we waited was delicious also. The staff was very friendly and when it was our turn to order we never felt rushed. We will definitely come here again the next time we travel to Hilton Head.

After waiting for 20 minutes outside, an employee came out and told us that we were not going to be allowed to get ice cream because they were closing. We had plenty of time, 12 minutes, before the store was going to close.There were several families that had to leave the lawn and we’re not able to get ice cream.

Very good ice cream in a small space. Hardly room to walk but the ice cream was amazing. Good vareity of flavors, not just your basic ones. Love the decor and the feel of the store.
