The chocolates are great. So far have tried the turtles, toffee, and nonpareils. Had to go back for more nonpareil! Highly recommend.

The perfect place for treats or presents to bring back from HHI. I could’ve bought everything in the store and the employees were very personable and sweet. They were very accommodating and built me a milk and dark chocolate mix box in no time at all. I bought a toffee piece for the road and it was delicious and full of crunchy toffee pieces. They have great shore themed chocolate or gummy offerings that were absolutely adorable. Also the store was impeccably clean and well organized. I will definitely return for treats :)

What else do you need to know. It’s chocolate! Seriously lady was super nice. Only 2 customers at a time but we tried to be quick. They have a lot of options and even some nice gift boxes too. Note that they also ship so if you get something and like it you can order it from home! We’ve seen this place before and finally swung in you should do the same.

Love their chocolates! The owner (a lady) was just so sweet, kind and patient with my toddler and his wondering hands! She was knowledgeable and really helped out with the selection of treats I wanted to take home! Their orange peel dark chocolate is AMAZING! Will defiant be back!

Small business open since the 80s. Met the owners while stopping in for a quick chocolate fix. Pricing is standard. Products were yummy. Well worth a visit to support these nice chocolatiers.

Didnt even make out of the parking lot and my 6 year old inhaled one of the chocolate covered pretzels! The truffles are worth every penny of $1.50. Also recommend the chocolate covered potato chip stack. Going to go back this week!

The lady at the counter was very nice and showed us the layout of the store to make things easier. The pralines and milk chocolates were delicious and the salt water taffy was fresh with a good amount of flavors to choose from.

Half the display case is just for the dark chocolates. The chocolates were delicious. Not sure if everything is made daily, but every time i visited, they were busy making a fresh batch of something. Service was friendly and helpful.

The Chocolate Canopy has some of the best chocolate ever! I enjoy stopping in here as I always like to support local businesses. Also, the owners are always friendly and helpful.

I am currently in Prague and wanted to surprise my girlfriend with some chocolate covered strawberries while she is on vacation. After seeing the 5 star average review for Chocolate Canopy, I decided to give them a call. Not only did they go out and get the strawberries and hand dip them but they also delivered them directly to her door! It was a wonderful experience and I hear the strawberries are delicious! They are very caring and sincere! Highly recommend!

My wife, children and I visited the Chocolate Canopy as part of a tour and we were amazed at finding this gem on Hilton Head Island. The owner, Chris, gave us a brief overview of the way they make chocolates and how their product differs from what you will find in a grocery store. Simply put: Chris and his wife know more about chocolate than most people will ever forget! He told us that there are three keys to making chocolates: keeping the temperature of the store/kitchen between 65-68 degrees Fahrenheit, keeping the humidity below 50% and keeping the air circulating well so that the chocolate doesnt absorb any odors. I could go on and on with all the facts Chris shared, but the best part were the chocolates that they make. We purchased several items from the display case and they taste incredible! And to top it all off, the owners deliver incredible service that you wont find in many shops today. We will definitely make the Chocolate Canopy a regular stop on our annual vacation to Hilton Head Island!

Third year coming. Used to come on our way out but decided to come first day instead to start the vacation off right. Chocolate is to die for. You won’t be disappointed! Sea salt caramels, raspberry bars and orange bars are our favorites. Truffles are $1.50 each and are worth it.

Yummy treats. Nice owner. Nothing organic but does make sugar free options. Also sells a signature chocolate alligator which is so cute. Go ahead, indulge, You only live once.

I feel like all the glowing reviews are made by friends of the shop owners. These chocolates are priced like theyre gourmet but they taste barely better than Hersheys. The chocolate itself is oddly flavorless, the truffle fillings are homogeneous and the fillings are really hard. Also theyre about the diameter of a nickle but are priced like theyre twice the size.Really not worth it if youre used to high quality chocolates.
