Im being kind in only giving them 1 star.After moving to the Big Island, I went to Floor Decor and picked out new flooring for my home.I paid them $2,000 towards the flooring (which was about half the total cost of the job.) After paying the $2,000, life circumstances (including the death of my sister-in-law and father) caused me to put the new flooring project on hold.I asked for a refund multiple times since no work had been done and I received no flooring. The owner refused to return my money.A year later I received a call from the company saying that their records showed I owed money on flooring for an installation they did.I explained to the girl that I 1) never received any flooring, 2) never had any flooring installed, and 3) had requested a refund multiple times to no avail. She said she would look into issuing me a refund and that is the last I ever heard from them.I left subsequent messages with the owner and never received a return phone call. I went to the store in person only to be told that owner was not in.Here it is years later and they still have my $2,000 and I still have no new flooring. RHEY ESSENTIALLY TOOK THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, NEVER DID ANY WORK, AND REFUSED TO RETURN MY MONEY!Would NOT recommend this company!

I purchase flooring for a home project and collected have the load as the project came in phases. When I went back to pick up the rest of the flooring they claimed I had picked up the entire load. They we not correct and I ended up having to make additional payments to get the flooring I had already paid for earlier. The management I dealt with was quite unreasonable and I will never do business with them again.

As soon as their employee began removing the old floor they came back to us asking for more money because THEY made several errors, no fault of our own. I have emails documenting their errors. When I refused to pay because the mistakes were strictly theirs, they remained insistent. I pointed out to them that I dont ask my customers to pay for my mistakes. No reaction. I agreed to partial payment of the added expense because I wanted to avoid 1) not getting the floor completed, 2) worse case scenario, legal action or a lien placed on our home.Without my knowledge, Floor Decor called my husband asking for payment, including $420 to cover their mistakes, and he gave them his credit card number. The floor looks nice but this is going to make me angry for a long time. FOLLOW-UP: I filed a complaint with the State of Hawaii, which investigated this company and sent it to their legal people. Floor Decor tried to get me to withdraw the complaint by returning my $420, but that wasnt possible, even if I wanted to. The store on Manono Street closed down, but I wouldnt be surprised if they open again illegally. According to the State they were not licensed to do business. They also irreparably damaged several expensive pieces of furniture which I didnt notice until later, including a very expensive, heavy glass table top.
