I started off my experience with this establishment on a good note, both the salespersons that I dealt with were friendly and helpful. I purchased a remnant from them and as the warehouse employee was loading the roll of carpet on my truck he accidentally broke out my rear window. After which he told me that he is not supposed to load customers. Yet while I was waiting my turn to get my carpet I watched him load another truck using the forklift. The manager was not there at the time and I was told to leave my name and number and he would call me on Monday.Monday came and I had not received a call by the afternoon so I called him. His name is Garret and he proceeded to tell me that it is not there policy to load the customers, but at no time before my window was busted did this information come to light. So as I asked him to pay for the replacement of my window, Garret proceeded to throw his own employee under the bus and told me that I would have to work something out with his warehouse guy to get payment. I explained that his employee working for him is his responsibility and that he is a representative of Carpet Isle so therefore the business has the responsibility put on them. Garret refused to work with me on the repair in anyway shape or form. He told me I would have to sue him. This so called manager said he would call me back the next day, and as you can imagine he never did! Where I come from you stand behind your employees and take responsibility to make things right when accidents happen. They also have a name for people who dont take responsibility and blame others, Im sure you know what that is! PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AND SHOW GARRET WHAT HAPPENS WHEN BUSINESSES TREAT CUSTOMERS AND THIER OWN EMPLOYEES WITH SUCH DISREGARD! I would advise the other employees to really think about who they are working for and take notice of where Garret stands when they might need him to be a leader and not a blame placer.
