I finally brought my first car I love route 22 especially Saad Meqdad he has explained everything to me in detail he made me feel welcome I was nervous at first because this was gonna be my first car and I heard a lot of things about buying used cars that you would have to take it to the mechanic because there might be something wrong but there was nothing wrong with the car that he gave me I’m blessed I’m happy I’m driving around like a maniac no I’m lying but I’m glad that I met him and I’m glad and I went to get a car and I’m glad that he helped me you know I’m saying he really made me feel comfortable appreciate it
The Rep. who assisted me was nice he didnt say much, took my info and I sat back in the waiting room. I was a bit disappointed I was not spoken to about other work that my car needed after the oil change and inspection. My engine light was on I didnt get advice or recommendation on what I should do. I was just handed paperwork and told I was done. I do recommend for future perposes you have prices next to recommendation of work that needs done on customer cars this way customer can decide if they want to move forward with additional work and know the cost ahead of time. Planet Honda does this on Rt22. Its convenient for the customer and less work to do for your Reps.; to have to explain or look up prices. I could have done more if I had prices in front of me. So I left with the engine light still on.Thank You,P.S. This doesnt mean I wont be back just hope this doesnt happen again and my recommendation is taken under consideration.

Since 2017, just two years after purchasing a brand new Honda Accord, I experienced difficulties with starting the vehicle. Honda assured me that it was simply the battery. For the past four years, I’ve replaced my battery too many times for a new car, have been stranded due to the car stalling, and had to purchase a jump box. During my most recent visits, Peter refused to listening to what I was telling him. I ensured him that the battery was not the issue, but he made a point to tell me it wasn’t. I felt that he ignored what I was saying. Yesterday, after replacing the battery, we learned that it was the starter. That means for the past 4 years, I trusted the opinion of Honda and kept replacing my battery instead of getting a starter under the car’s warranty back in 2017. I will be having my lawyer draw up a letter to the regional office.

Decent service from Route 22 Honda service Department. Highly recommend to see Paul Gimeo for all you vehicle service inquiries and service. Great advisor and great to deal with and does not rush and takes time to listen to his customers concerns. The only thing about this service department they need to step up on is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. I was here 2 days ago and the restrooms ran out of soap to wash hands with and paper towels/toilet paper. Highly recommend sanitizer station in the bathroom area and improve the cleanliness of the restrooms

I went to the dealer buying my car and it was the worst experience ever. I could spend hours talking about my experience but to make it short: My certified car is rusting out under the driver door and they said their car never rust. Sales person, Mr. Carlos is very unprofessional and so is his manager.Worst experience I ever had buying a car from a dealership. I have no clue how Honda brand let those guys represent them. and now? Im looking for a place that would fix my car door under 3k dolars! Be aware of that dealer! they will scam you !!!
Arrival and check-in were quick and easy. My service advisor Al Roman asked what I was there for, which was an oil change, and I also stated that I had issues with my battery. He took down the issue and later came back to me recommending tire rotation and wheel alignment, which was fine. He also stated that they tested the battery, and that it was fine.I bought the car in January 2018, and when I had my car serviced in Jan 2020, I was informed that the battery had failed its test during the multi-point inspection. It was under warranty, so they replaced it for me, which was great. In September 2021, I went out to start my car and the battery was dead. I called my insurance for roadside assistance, and they jumpstarted my car. I drove it to Rt 22 Honda that same September day and they told me the battery failed its test. They said the warranty that covered the 1st battery changed did not cover the replacement, and I ended up paying over $200 for the replacement. Because I have owned the car for only 3.5 years, multiple failing batteries seems like it might have another cause. I would have appreciated if someone at Rt 22 Honda would see the multiple battery failures in 3 years as a red flag that warranted more attention. I dont know what kind of testing could be done to find the source of whats occuring, but some attention to this would have been appreciated. I would still like this battery drain issue to be resolved.At the end of my stay, Al presented me with the bill for my alignment/tire rotation/oil change, and I had to mention that the Rt 22 Honda website had discount offers that would decrease the cost. I did not expect that I would have to mention service specials that are stated on the website.I have been with Honda for 20 years, and my past experience had always been good. I am not putting this all on Al, but I would have hoped that being a loyal customer all these years would have given me a better experience.
I absolutely love this place, I purchased my SUV here sometime at the end of summer and now I’m back for the first oil change. My Sales rep Johan is amazing, he really helped out and was patient with my specific request for the interior I wanted. He went out of the way and made sure everything was up to par. He’s the true definition of great customer service.My service rep Paul, was also great. He went over my profile to confirm if there were any changes. Just last year mid, I have changed batter along with whole service, and already battery was down and cant start. Spending money on Uber for last 2 days, and keep on calling the service center.This is worst experience in my life. One agent left and put on hold while I was explaining the issue, and then I noticed why music is ON, noticed she left already. Highly unprofessional. And they are saying, they will not pick up the vehicle too, not sure why they are calling it as official service center. Already called 3-4 times.. also chatted multiple times.. no luck..Going to spend my money on some good local center. I swear, this is the last time in my life, I can think of buying some HONDA... WORST EXPERINECE...NOTE: DO NOT JUST REPLY HERE FOR THE SAKE AND ASK TO CALL BY MENTIONING A NUMBER. IF YOURE REALLY INTERESTED IN, YOU WOULD REACH CUSTOMER DIRECTLY AND FIX THE ISSUE ASAP.
Walked in at 1pm and had an appointment at 3pm. Receptionist sat down at window, minimal eye contact and very rude. I asked where I can go to get my oil change done and she said we don’t take walk ins. I asked for her to confirm my appointment and she said, “ I can’t do that.” I simply left after that. This place is horrible. People were in there wandering around. Depressing work environment.

My service agent Paul, is the best customer service representative I have ever dealt with, and Im a retired Fire Captain with many years of car purchase and service experience. Paul should be in charge of all service related issues!
Very poor communication. Wont give accurate ETAs, the service center doesnt pick up the phone if you have a question about your car during service. They dont call to let you know your car is ready. You will have to show up in person to because nobody will know anything if you actually get a human on the phone.
Not satisfied with the final outcome. I brought my car Honda Accord 2012 for engine light diagnostic, they showed me a list of items to repair, paid a lot of money and 48 hours later engine light came back, with the tendency that motor tried to shut down when I was driving along streets. In other words the solution was worse than the problem.
The team at Rt 22 is client centric and does a good job of keeping you informed about your service or repairs. They are not pushy, and allow you to understand what is more critical to get done so you can balance out expense and cost.
I came in to work with Paul Giameo. He is an excellent service advisor. Worked with me to understand the questions/issues i had. Got me in and out in an hour. It was only an oil change but checked my history and was true to the Smart Rewards program.
This is an efficient and well run service center. Ive been going there for a long time even though its not close to my house. The service advisors are helpful and informative. They dont try to get you to have extra work done on your car. I highly recommend it!
Called to make an appointment for an oil change and a CVT software update due to a problem that is covered under a warranty extension (received a letter from Honda in the mail saying I should come in for the update and inspection). They didn’t have any appointments available for 2 weeks and they told me that because it wasn’t an “open recall” they couldn’t do anything to address the letter I received. So the next day I called open road Honda and was able to go in the same day with no appointment for regular service and they did the CVT software update and inspection with no problem. Very frustrated with this route 22 service center, will be sticking with open road Honda in the future.
Good, clean, well run facility. I was in and out in less than an hour. The facility runs like a well-oiled machine. If you own a Honda and need it serviced, I recommend this facility.
PLEASE READ to SAVE YOUR MONEY!! Do not go to this location for the work to be done!!!! It’s only good for oil changes and a check up. I got my car serviced on 06/12/21 for a tire rotation. Then an hour later my steering was off but I couldn’t get seen till the 06/26/21 because of my schedule. When I went back the advisor suggested that my breaks needed to be done & were more important than my front tires having too much air in them. “In the near future, You can wait for the tires and wheel alignment, your break pads and break fluid are more important to fix “ mind you they were going to charge me $1000 to do everything!!! So that’s why I took his advisements. It took them 4 hours to replace front break pads and for the break fluid and charged me $588! it is 6/30 & my entire front tire is now off the rim. And I am getting the run around with speaking with a manager/supervisor. Pushy dealership and Not good for car service
I’m on my third Honda lease and I knew it was a reason why I don’t come here. I called to see if I can simply pull into the garage because my tire pressure sensor came on and I didn’t want to risk driving a distance on a tire that could potentially be going flat. I was told that I had to schedule an appointment and the next available time was a week away. I asked if that was the standard for this service center and the rep told me no it wasn’t but I still have to wait a week. For a simple tire check!! I didn’t need my oil changed, brakes done, etc. Out of frustration, I risked it and drove far away. Thankfully I was able to go make it up the highway to Madison Honda without getting stranded. I was in and out in 15 minutes. There was indeed a nail in my back tire, not that this service center cares.

Robert lacorte made shure the issues with my car were taken car of 100%.He concentrated on the issues i curently had and didnt bother me tryng to sell me services i didnt want or need at this time like most dealers do.would definatly recomend rt 22 honda and go back when i need future work done
I would have given them a 5 star rating but I waited 4 hours for a recall. I was told that the person working on my car had a lunch break which I understand they need but why schedule me?!! They need to some how alternate based on their appointments scheduled. We the customer value our time as well.
Busy, slow, and normal-for-dealer expensive. My service technician was nice but they should really figure out better processes instead of having to see 4 people and waiting 1.5 hours for a 15 minute fob encoding. Why do I have to see a different person to pay then another to get keys?!?

Very disappointed for a very unprofessional, unethical, service. Your technician made my wife wait for over three hours for a simple oil change just because I did not consent for extra services that they suggested. I was really disgusted with their behavior and behind the door sarcasm toward her. I plan on canceling the remainder of services paid in advance for my vehicle. They were intentionally expected on taking advantage of her since they realized that wasnt going to happen so they proceeded on making her waited longer than it normally would. That is really aberrant and shameful. I am looking forward to take this matter to the right department for redress. Thank you

Joel, Ike, and Kaire are the guys to go to when buying a Honda hands down. These gentlemen are professional, helpful, and honestly a breath of fresh air when trying to buy a car. Honda has gotten my business not because of their vehicles, but because of these men here. I left Metro Honda in Jersey City angry about how I was being swindled and then made to look like I was wrong when I didn’t feel comfortable buying an overpriced car. Coming to Route 22 and sitting with Kaire changed all of that immediately and I drove off the lot within hours of walking in. So thank you to all 3 of you gentlemen. SOMEONE GET THEM A RAISE!

My car was under recall from Honda for a fuel pump safety concern. The recall notice from Honda said the repair would take an hour and 15 minutes, but this place quoted me 2 hours. From entering and leaving, it took 3 hours. At the end, they couldnt even find my car as it was not where they told me it would be and someone had to go look for it.Went for an oil change a few weeks later. Greeter in the garage told me to sit down and someone would be with me. I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes until I finally asked a worker talking to another customer whether someone was coming to see me. He tried to shut me down, but I explained Id been waiting for a long time and then he went and found someone to do the intake. Oil change took 2 hours total because they started so late.
Managers, Customer Service,Staff, Auto Parts, Sales Department was awesome, took the time to explain everything step by step love it.

Unfortunately my dashboard lit up over the wknd letting me know I needed a simple oil change (was down to 15%). First thing Monday morning I called the 866# listed to schedule an appt.(at the Hillside, NJ location) and was given one 8 days from today. I explained the situation and asked for an earlier one; but, their answered was NEGATIVE.Then I called Madison Honda in Madison, NJ (where I have gone when I worked in the area) and had NO PROBLEM, I could go this Wednesday! They are always busy and price wise are much better...Its worth the trip going to Madison Honda and in addition to being:CORTEOUS - ORGANIZED - PROFESSIONALS & VERY GOOD SERVICE QUALITY
Well,there was some type of computer malfunction going on in the car. There were several lights appearing on the dashboard. I immediately sent an email to my service advisor and when he was able to reply, he told me to come in asap. Whatever it was after some time went by,the problem was taken care of. There are still a few things that needs attention but for the time being the immediate problem was taken care of.
Took them a week in a half to change a simple thing that needed no more than 2 days to fix. A service that neither I nor Honda had fault but still had to get $903 out of my pocket when they should have been at fault but I guess the customer was not right on this one and the reason it took a week in a half to fix was for lack of communication. Manager and rep were not easy to speak to, but hey, guess who’s going to another Honda next time.

The service was okay. Professionalism needs to be better. Waited 3 hours after making an appointment two weeks earlier. When you call be ready to be put on hold for at least 5 minutes.
Bought a used Honda Odyssey in April. Took over 3 hours to complete paperwork when it was already arranged to buy it. Still dont have a real license plate and had to get temporary tags twice. Major repairs needed for vehicle after 4 weeks. Not impressed at all with any staff. Do NOT recommend.
The work is always excellent.. the staff professional and courteous .. but the wait ? More then 2 hours on a Wednesday morning? Just for an Oil Change.. Was excessive. And all the time having to wear the mask inside a warm waiting room. Need to expedite and prioritize easy quick maintenance services so they cut down on long waits that usually take only 15-30 minutes.
Service my vehicle here for a recall. Paul was very informative and helpful. But the staff working on the vehicle removed a paper i had on my floor mat without consent or a reason of removing it. Recall service seems to have been performed; unsure since I didn’t get the error message before the service as well.

0 explanation on what wS the procedure, I took my car since I received a letter for a recall they offered me a loaner when I cook the appointment, long story short the person that did my appointment gave me the wrong info, they were going to take from 1/2 hra to 1 it took them way more than that (but I was ok with the timing since I prefer for them to do their job right) when picking the car up they keep sending me from one person to the other, the kid with the keys was having fun with bring a friend to work day (that how it looks like to me) when he finally realized I was saying hello hello can I have my key he didnt even direct me where my car was, I finally got to my car now is blocked by 2 other cars and when I get home I realized they scratch my rear bumper... horrible experience
I did not have an appointment, but they were very accommodating to have my cars oil change done the same day. I really appreciate it. I did not know if you have not had your oil change done by them before. The first one will be complimentary free to the customer. Loveeeee it!!!

I was passing through the state when I hit a pothole and damage one of my tire. I contacted the service department and asked if they had the tire in stock and if they will be able to install it for me without an appointment. The person on the phone was so nice and told me that will do it for me. I got to the service station and everyone was very friendly and very professional. Paul was my service advisor, he worked with me and the company I had my tire protection with to ensure I had the best service possible. In the end I did not had to pay anything. Paul was very friendly, knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the process. They were able to get me back on the road in no time. Wish the service station was closer to my home, I would definitely be using them to service both my Hondas. Great experience from TEAM Route 22 honda service and parts. Thanks again.
Went their for automobile recalls. The staff was very polite.
I brought in 2 cars at different times 8.40am and 2.30pm and they only informed me of 1 recall, the morning advisor was not welcoming at all and had a careless attitude. I informed the PM attendant about my email being wrong on the service report and he gave me a list of excuses why he could not change my email. At both times i was there the cashiers call you up and are talking, on their phones.
I was advised by an advisor name Peter that my break pads and break fluid & wheel alignment & front tires need to be replaced & had double the amount of air - they lied and gyp me out my money - l didnt get everything done because they were charging $1000- but I did get two of the things done -long story short my uncle who is a mechanic came into town & Checked the remaining “issues” to fine that I just need to replace the tires eventually, but not major deal & checked my tire pressure for me which revealed they had the exact amount of air that was needed. Disgusting that they take advantage of pplI

I just bought a car from their dealership, and about 3-4 weeks later got a flat tire (im assuming) and the tire just blew up off the rim. I wanted to know if this would be covered since its still so new, and the service agent i spoke to on the phone said to come by because it depends on the reason the flat occurred, so they would have to look at it. When I get there, Im told they would only cover the cost if i purchased a warranty on the tires. I have no idea why she didnt just ask me if i had a warranty if thats the only deciding factor. I had to make the trip on my donut, and wait 40 minutes for a rep to tell me it would be $240. The reps on site were nice enough, but wouldnt explain the miscommunication.I had no intention of repairing because I knew I could find a better price elsewhere if i really did have to pay, and I told her this on the phone that I only wanted to know if Id be covered somehow. It was all just a waste of my time unfortunately.

I had an appointment for an oil leak on 5/7. After waiting an hour and half was advised to come back tomorrow because the right mechanic wasn’t on duty, asked what time just casually told oh anytime. I returned around 9a 5/8, it is now 12:16p and I’m just now being advised what the issue is. I also believe if I had not gone to ask the advisor my car would’ve still just been sitting. I came here today fully prepared to have whatever the issue is fixed (I can’t just leave oil leaking) but this entire process just gave me an uneasy feeling about this place. If they believe it’s ok to waste a customer’s valuable time two days in a row I’m sure they are ok with lying about issue and/or price gauging

Hi I was recently at you Hillside NJ location to service my vehicle on 06/12/21 to check tire pressure- they performed a tire rotation- an hour later the same signal to check tire pressure came on. I was scheduled to come in 6/26 & was advised that it was my break pads and break fluid that needed to be handled first and my tires that had too much air could wait for maintenance-3 days later my tire comes off the rim and the same signal pops back up! The advisor lied about service my car needed just so that I can spend money I didn’t have to and charge me $588! For four hours of labor ! And they refuse to let me speak to anyone in charge

I was at the service for oil change and while I was at it I went to the parts department for 3 bottles of transmission fluid. They made me paid for 4 and told me I will need 4 bottle. On top of it I did not asked for a washer which was charged $3.33 that I do not need. I was fine leaving with 4 bottles of the fluids since it can be stored. Until I got home and see I was charged for a $3.33 washer that I don’t need and was not requested at desk. This is very unacceptable and was not requested on my visit. I am not very happy with this experience.

I brought my car in for service no one gave me a time they had me sitting there for almost two hours when I had to go to work no one gave me an update they just told me to sit down very poor service unprofessional
DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment and had to wait 40 minutes to check my car in. Then I was escorted to get an explanation (tech was very rude) of what can be causing the problem and was basically told that because of a crack on a sensor cover its my fault and didnt bother to see if the error msg on my car can just be reset. Only here because its where the Honda dealer sends me for manufacturing problems. I will be taking my car to Mahwah Honda to get it serviced. They have Great Service and awesome people skills.

Had my car towed there on a Tuesday Ramon was the service rep. Called me the next day, Explained starter needs replacing, also airfilter, oil change, gasket ring. car was ready on Saturday almost $1,400.00 in service and repair costs. Wow. 😯
