Perfect place to go to see every kind of musical instrument. I appreciate the fact you can try the instruments before you choose the perfect one. Plentiful guitars to view. Sometimes you arent able to see items due to folks playing the instruments ahead of you but that would happen anywhere. The ability to try before you buy is a great addition to the store. Will always check here first for my musical needs

I dont usually write reviews but I felt like the staff at Guitar Center in Hickory deserves a great review!! The entire staff there is always so helpful and very friendly. I had a problem with a repair that me and my husband sent off to a third party and the manager Addison did an amazing job helping us get this taken care of.

Me and my brother went in to get an outlet on a BC Rich Avenge fixed and an Esp LTD Alexi 200 with a Floyd Rose system stringed and have springs repaired the technician is a complete airhead clearly under the influence of drugs/alcohol on the job. We went ahead and went back on getting the guitars serviced there due to witnessing unprofessionalism, lack of knowledge where our guitars even were, foul language, and her being rough with another customers guitar. The rest of the staff is friendly and helpful Kat was especially helpful ordering me a Jackson Warrior. Do not get anything serviced there under any circumstance though the technician is unqualified and needs replaced.

The customer service is pretty good. They are usually nice. Don’t get offended but the woman that tunes and fixes guitars. I think her natural personally comes off rude or she’s just mad all the time. The selections of guitar are not bad but to be honest Guitar Wishes in Lincolnton have better options and the customer service is fantastic

They were very busy, but made time for my wife and I on our first purchase like we were the only ones there.

The salesman I was with during my visit went above and beyond in assisting me. For the past year I have been the person at my church setting up the sound system for our outdoor services and have been learning along the way. In this visit, i brought my soundboard in and explained to the salesman my setup and he listened, gave me advice and helped me in purchasing the added equipment I needed. This knowledge and equipment have improved my churchs sound system.

Not a bad selection of electric guitars but could definitely use an upgrade on their variety of acoustic guitars and a bigger selection of mid-priced acoustic guitars. Other than that the employees are pretty cool about letting you handle the instruments to try them out.

As a person who has spent $1000s of dollars @ Guitar Centers I have to say that the Hickory location is the worst in the state of North Carolina. No selection, No knowledgeable employees,Rude interactions with staff. The very reason I go to Sam Ash.or Amazon . Terrible GC location

They were a little slow...they let 3 people in front of us forgetting they were in the middle of helping us. But the store was clean, people practice social distancing for the most part. People were friendly.

Hickory, NC Guitar Center is the worst I’ve ever visited. Came with my wife and my relative. Was helping my relative select a beginner guitar. We were asked irrelevant questions about our clothing, hairstyles &other things. They creeped us out.

I had a drummer from out of state visit and took him there expecting drums set up and ready to play. All they had was three little electronic kits set up for public to play. NONE had a double bass pedal. He was very disappointed. Plus the guitars were blocked off so you had to ask for assistance playing one. Selection not great. Well never be back. Well go to Atlanta.

Went their today only to come to a closed store. Did they shut down? It clearly says open on Sunday from 11-6. No signs saying why they were closed. Is this how you run a business?

I love shopping here because the people are friendly and very helpful. I went in to buy my husband a tuner for his guitar, note I know nothing about tuners. They took me to where they were and recommended the right one for me.

Good price, very helpful staff and got a great deal on what i was looking for.

Its pricey, but if you look hard enough you can find your deal. I would prefer to shop locally, but when its a price point its impossible to meet Musicians Friend, at least for me.

It was a pretty good selection, they of course had the picks i was looking for but they did however not have my guitar i was looking for and they didnt know if they could even get one of them.

Was told by phone they had the product I needed..but got there and they did not.

Nice spacious store. Courteous sales associates eager to assist you in finding what you need. The carries mostly the major brands like Fender and Gibson however they did not have in stock any of the newest models. Certain brands that Guitar Center carries they did not have in stock. Its hard to make a decision about something until you can get your hands on one and try it out for yourself. I hate to buy anything solely based on written articles. The selection of effects pedals was minimal however the few they had were good ones. I suspect this store will improve over time. I will definitely consider going back.

Great place for all my musical needs. I have purchased several nice pieces of equipment among other things an I am very happy will them. Nice people too. Only down side is there a few items I wished they stocked so I could see and try them out.

Its a guitar center, clean, nice employees.

Great store and great staff. They fit a large variety of equipment in a somewhat small space.They also don’t hover and bug you to buy something but if you need assistance, just ask and they are always willing to help. I went in several months ago to look at guitar pedals to build my board. I must have tried 30 pedals and spent several hours there in an isolated room with a comparable guitar and amp to what I have at home. There are many and were patient with me to take the time to try any I needed to.Needless to say I left and took a few days to think about my options, went back to the store and ordered online 3 of the pedals I tested. Since the person I was working with wasn’t working at this time, his coworker was more than happy to give the sale to him. I’ve been nothing but impressed with this store and staff.

If I could give a negative star rating, I would. Store was letting 1 family in at a time. Stood and looked at the guitars that were blocked from customers for ten minutes before an associate finally came over to assist. Selection was extremely poor.... very few guitars in stock. Played a $1999 Les Paul with rusty strings.... not taken care of all. One associate talked to me about another guitar I told him I was NOT interested in trying to sell me on that model. He asked me to turn the amp, so I did. Apparently, 2 on the volume knob was not enough, because they were saying that I was too loud to where my son could hear after that, but did not have the gumption to come tell me. Horrible experience all the way around. This is a relatively new store, but their stock is low and poorly maintained, and their service is less than stellar. Will not be going back to this location (I find myself saying that more and more about guitar center lately... makes me sad).

This location has the best staff. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and ready to help with any situation. I really enjoy taking a nice ride on the motor bike to this store. Im a guitar center customer for life.

The people here know about their industry and are very polite. I love the acoustic guitar room. They are patient, especially when you test some of their instruments. This is my go-to place for guitar strings or any musical hardware.

Professional, knowledgeable, and Friendly Staff! Im giving you 4 stars because the drum/ percussion dept lacks variety and has very limited gear. I wouldve purchased my high end Ludwig Kit at Guitar Center but unfortunately you didnt have much of a selection at my location.

Staff is great! Usually, when I am new to something, I get looked down on but these guys were very helpful and welcoming. Daniel and another guy are knowledgable and have helped me with new and used gear -they explained how stuff works, patiently let me explore different products and helped me find the right set-up. Looking forward to going back!

The employees pretty much was standing around doing nothing so my husband left with making a purchase!

My husband plays guitar so therefore we are ALWAYS in there. I know nothing about guitars and pedals. However I was able to pick out a pedal my husband sent me with the help of the CS manager. He was very knowledgeable and what he didnt know he researched

I was in a hurry and bought a guitar strap. The kid that was ringing me up asked for my phone number. I said, No, I dont want to do that because I know thats just to start sending me promotional stuff that I already receive and, as I said, I was in a hurry. He said that he HAD to have it, and then asked for my name and zip and tried to feed me some BS about how its like when you put in your zip at the gas pump to authorize a credit card. So, I gave him fake information and the sale went through just fine.When a customer doesnt want to give his info, just move on with the transaction!

I have been in here 2 times an never had a problem. The last time I was in there they had no problem fixing a guitar I got from the guitar center in Charlotte. Everyone there always asks if you need help I would give it 10 stars if I could.
