Always fresh!! Extremely light and fluffy but still very filling. Friendly staff who work very efficiently. May cost a little more than other donut shops but very worth it!
Hickory you have a hidden jem here, Ive eaten donuts from all over the USA, these are in my top 10 all time. I told the young lady helping me if they were good I would definitely be back, Im 100% going back, the glazed can only be surpassed by a place that is now closed in New Orleans, MacKenzies donuts. And if youve had them when they were around you know how good they were. Im going to gain 10lbs while Im here working lol
Donut Life has good traditional donuts at reasonable prices. Dark coffee was good and customer service was great. We enjoyed choosing our own fillings for our eclares which definitely made our day.. The ambiance had a good feeling of the ole time donut shop with home town vibe. Hope to see yall soon.
These are the best doughnuts!! I had an apple fritter and it was definitely the best I have ever had! My husband loves the maple bacon ones. You can choose what filling you want and they fill it right there for you. The chocolate frosted with raspberry filling is delicious! The people are very friendly too 🙂

My sister and I are working on the NC Donut Trail.You can choose whichever fillings for donuts you like, which is cool because they arent sitting around getting stale from the liquid.We had a chocolate frosted with Bavarian cream; raspberry filled glazed; fruity pebbles; and one regular chocolate iced.These were BIG donuts.All were delicious.No complaints here.

Hands down best donuts 🍩 I have ever had but I wish they would take to heart what so many customers are saying about the customer service. The fact that they won’t make enough donuts for the demand and that they close when they are gone, is really bad business I am afraid it will catch up with them as people get tired pretty quick of coming and finding it closed early. I honestly think that if they would make the supply meet the demand and stay open with donuts until closing, it would be well worth their money. Sure they will have some waste donuts every day but they would sell way more! They could give the donuts to some ministry or something. I think the business would be huge. Currently a really really poor business practice

First please make sure you are being charged the right amount. The Asian lady keeps charging all donuts at 1.69 instead of 1.09 if you buy a lot of them it will add up. Always had a great experince but lately not so much. New lady helping in the counter lacks customer service skills. Then, I often find that by the time you make it there even if its before lunch they run out of most varieties of donuts. They tell you next time you can call in and place and order but when you do they tell you the owner dont want to make them. Very confusing. Wish they would go back to having great customer service.
If youre looking for a donut this is the place. Try it once and you wont go back to Krispy Kreme or dunkin donuts.
Man. Hands down. Some of the most impressive doughnuts Ive ever tasted. Between Krispy Kreme & Donut Life, I prefer DL. Yes, they may be a little higher but these are the fluffiest donuts & real good at its price. I highly recommend DL to all doughnut lovers.

I mean, they arent pre-filled, you choose the donut and they put in a fresh filling of your choice in a split second! What a delicious and unique shop!

Very friendly staff, the doughnuts are fluffy clouds of deliciousness. Those maple bacon doughnuts..... real bacon maple frosting...mmmmmm.
Their website says they are open until 6 pm but they close at 4:30. Coming from McDowell makes this an issue when you are under the impression that you are open until 6pm.
These are the best doughnuts in town! They are always fresh and a generous size. Ive always enjoyed interacting with the staff here as they are all very pleasant and helpful. We love them so much we used them for our wedding and our guests couldnt stop talking about them. Highly worth stopping in for! But dont go too late in the day-they go fast!

I love their donut holes. I cant get them very often because they are so good, I would be big as a house if I got them too often. One day I felt like splurging on some and when I got there at 4:45, there was a sign that said Sold Out. If you want to try them, get there early.

The doughnuts are amazing and deserve 5 stars. However, when your supply does not meet your demand (and you run out of product hours before your published closing time) I see a huge problem. Unhappy customers will not continue to patronize a business that doesnt have the product they are seeking to purchase.
Stopped by because I had heard great things about Donut Life. I was not disappointed. They produce a great product. Went to Raleigh this past weekend and wanted a good donut. I thought being the capital that they would have something comparable to Donut Life. If they do I couldnt find it. Hickory, be appreciative of the fact that we have such a great business with such flavorful treat here.
Fast, friendly service with a very neat and clean appearance. All of the doughnuts are very large and delicious! This is always a hit with friends and family for gift ideas!

Donut life has the best donuts I have ever tasted. They melt in your mouth. They dont have a large selection and they go like hotcakes so get there early. Theres always a line so go there expecting to wait, but not too long. Their service is quick. They want to help you get what you want and to enjoy it thoroughly. The only downside is that they dont have decaf coffee.
Had a long ride to The Brock Agency and we stopped here after reading reviews. We were met by a wonderful smile from a handsome guy who suggested the maple and bacon, heck we ended up with 6 donuts and I went in for 3. Soooo glad as they were amazing
The donuts actually get five stars but the fact that Ive gone there several times and theres nothing left makes them get 3 stars. They need to have more donuts to choose from after 1pm and not just glazed.
First time visiting and the customer service was super nice. I just ordered 1/2 dozen cream filled donuts. They fill the donuts to order, jelly or cream. The donut was delicious but I did think it was a little pricey. I paid $9 for six donuts. Would definitely visit again though.
Great doughnuts, but don’t expect any water if you get thirsty. They refuse to give any nor is there a water fountain. Friendly staff, but very uninviting interior. We went one early afternoon, two hours before closing, and all chairs were stacked on the tables.

Great donuts with some original recipes. I only tried the plain glazed donuts but the Fruity Pebbles donuts and apple fritters looked delicious. And these are fairly large donuts so the price was a bargain.
I’m confident that they could generate more revenue and sales by hiring additional staff or developing a more efficient strategy with the current staff. Often, I think of going, but I opt to go somewhere else (with young children) in anticipation of a 30+ minute wait. On two occasions, I’ve called in an order to go over the phone and they’ve quoted a 1 hour wait time. Use Chick-fil-A as a case study: they are always overstaffed, but because of their superior level of service, they generate more sales and revenue than all other fast food restaurants combined. Consistently long wait times will start to decrease your customer base.
