Best butcher in WNC! Have purchased multiple things from here over the years including half a cow at a time. That process was smooth and M&M was very easy to work with. Love ordering online and pickup at a time that works for me. The freezer bundles are the way to go. Everything is well packaged and tastes so much better than what comes out of the grocery store.

My husband and I got steaks cut for our cookout tomorrow night! The folks there have an awesome selections of meats, cheeses, spice rubs and sauces. Really nice folks there! I highly recommend !! Will definitely be back!

Fantastic quality & prices. As a traveling sales rep, Ive taken numerous clients to dinner at many restaurants around the country (Ruth Chris, Mortons, etc). To me, M&Ms steaks seemed even better, and you cant beat the prices. Since I discovered them, I will no longer buy steaks at grocery store. Why pay more for inferior meat? As a side note: I dont understand the few negative reviews. However, if youll notice, most of those people have only done 1 review. Might they be friends of the competition?

If you want the best meat anywhere you need to shop here. I have been buying my meat here for 12 years. They will cut to order anything you want. Filets tender enough to cut with a fork. No bargain basement cuts here. Always top notch!!

Just called to see if they had any bundles the woman that answered the phone was very rude would not let me finish a sentence then hung up on me my husband called as well earlier in the day and she hung up on him as well twice. Call to see if I could place the order as I was coming from Leicester And was very rudely told me no whomever walks in and wants it I will sell it to is what she told me. This is the first time I have had problems very seriously considering finding a meat market elsewhere they have just lost a customer

Average at best. I came in looking for a specific cut and was told they had it. When looking at it, it was clear to me that it wasnt what I was looking for. Sorry guys, picanha is NOT tri tip. I still bought it as I was trying out a new cooking style ahead of a family dinner. What was frustrating is that the people here acted like I didnt know what I was talking about and were a bit condescending. Meat was good but nothing exceptional. But no worries guys, found two butchers in Asheville and Arden who know exactly what picanha is! Probably wont come back. 3 stars only because theyre a local option and the meat was ok.

I really love this meat market. They practically have every cut you feel like having. One of my favorite items are the short ribs; they will cut them any way you want...like perpendicular to the way they cut ribs in general. This way of cutting makes the most of the taste come through as you get in each piece bone meat bone meat etc.

I wanted to make some homemade sausage and theyre the only place that keeps casings. I also got some hot sausage that was GOOD! Their boneless chicken was great also.

Dropped my deer off to be processed. Ran into a guy who let me sample some cheese and told me about their hot pork sausage. Fried some of it up tonight and it is Very good sausage. I like the Mom and Pop atmosphere. I hope the processed deer turns out just as good as my first experience. If it does. Ill be back for life.

Love this place! Great prices and great meat, except once... I bought a pork loin for Christmas dinner, but when I opened it it was already rancid. Wasnt too happy, but I understand that these things can slip past the QC.I brought it back when they opened a couple days later and they not only refunded my money, but gave me three ribeyes (worth almost three times as the loin)!For turning my unfortunate event into a pleasant experience, M&M Freezer Locker just secured a loyal customer in me. Id suggest them to anyone asking.

I am thrilled to know that there is a great meat market in HVL. Tried it for the first time tonight. We grilled a rib eye steak and it was delish! Cannot compare to a plain grocery store product.

Have dealt there for years and they are absolutely tops. Prices beat the super markets by at least 25% and the meat is way better too. We are retired and have high expectations for service. I have often said the day they stop selling meat is the day I go vegan.
