Outstanding work, following a rear-end collision to my almost new car. Given parts delays and such due to COVID, the repair took a bit longer than it might have pre-pandemic. But communication with my service writer, Eric Glanz, could not have been better. I received multiple calls throughout the process, as I was kept up to date on parts arrival dates, work schedule, and such. But the bottom line is the finished product - and my car looks as good as it did when I first drove it off the lot, 13k miles ago. I would highly recommend Eric and the G&C Hayward team! Thanks!!

I got my catalytic converter replaced here, they also replaced a headlight for me, I just started coming to this shop but Alex is excellent, very professional and Ill definitely come back here.

Alex and Erick are my go to guys from now on when it comes to body and paint! These guys came in ready to take care of a customer and not sell anything. They were there to evaluate the issues due to theft! & they did it so well all I did was drop of my truck and pick it up! Not only that! Alex and Erick made sure everything was done correctly and if there is something that needs attention they will point it out! They made my claim simple and hassle free! & btw the work done was better than I had expected! Don’t go to any other body shop! Just go to G & C and ask for Alex or Erick!

Eric the Manager was very polite, He looked at car to see where it was hit on back bumper told us what needed done ordered the bumper and the week after it was fixed in a day like he said would be painted and everything. car looked very nice when picked it up they are good any work everybody was very nice even when went into the office. I brought my car in after accident and was worried on how long it’ll be in the shop. Well, it didn’t take long and Eric and his staff got it done! I was directed to the business by my auto insurance. The shop was easy to find. The lot is small and parking is limited. Fernando greeted me and obtained the needed information. He examined the car and took photos. He advised he would email me in an hour or so with the estimate. I never received an email. The following day Fernando called and provided me with a verbal estimate and timeline for repairs.We agreed to meet at 9 am the following week to drop off the car for repairs. I arrived and Fernando must have been busy because he did not meet with me until 9:30. Car was dropped off and I was told that it would be ready on Wednesday or Thursday. I received a voicemail message on Tuesday stating the car would be ready on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning and I would receive a call when the car was ready.On Thursday I received a call at 5:10pm telling me the car was ready, but I needed to be there by 5:30pm or pick the car up the following day.Upon picking up the car, I noticed that the repairs had been completed per the agreement.Overall repair work was done well. I was not impressed by the communication or lack of communication.I will likely use a different repair shop in the future. The recommendation from CSAA reflected poorly on them.

My car was unfortunately involved in a hit and run while parked in front of my house, and was towed to a savage yard. I was informed that my car was not a total loss and I needed to pick the body shop who I wanted to do the repairs on my car. I picked G&C. Shortly after that call, I received a call from Oliva, her first question to me was if I was OK after the accident. The service from Oliva and Alex went well above and beyond. Alex communicated with me almost daily on the repairs on my car as well as the time frame I would have my car back. They even delivered my car to my house for me! Absolutely amazing service! I would give this business twenty stars if they had them. I am new to the Bay area and was nervous engaging a new body shop after suffering a hit and run. I chose Hayward Auto Body due to their good reviews and am thrilled to add add mine to the list. They are a fifty year plus family business whose pride in what they do comforted me immediately. They not only provided prompt, personable service, they took the extra time to educate me on exactly what was wrong with my car, how same impacts impair other cars, and best means to repair along with cost before doing it. While I hope I do not need their service again, it is incredibly comforting to know that I can trust them to restore my car to new for the best price promptly if I do. I hardly know where to begin in praising Hayward Body Shop ad owners Richard and Cindy. I have had them work on my cars in the past, and they always performed work professionally, timely, and within reasonable cost. It has been some time since I was last in the shop, but Cindy remembered me. This time I brought in my car because I had made a bad turn in a parking lot and hit the front bumper against a wall, pushing it out of alignment and with some minor scratches. Richard and Cindy looked at it and determined that to replace the bumper would be costly. But, in a most unexpected and much appreciated gesture, Richard offered to have his staff pop the existing bumper back into place at no cost to me! Twenty minutes later, my car was ready to go. Even though I offered to pay for the work, Richard refused payment. Where in this self-serving world do you find a businessman with such a good heart? To top it off, he and Cindy are fun to be around, engaging in conversation and offering useful tips. Cindy noticed that I needed new tires and suggested a reputable local tire store that would not overcharge me. I truly cannot say enough for Hayward Body Shop, owners Richard and Cindy, their excellent customer service, professionalism, and generosity.

This place makes you feel at ease. Brought car in on Monday for the appt. was promised it would be ready by Friday. Got a call on Tuesday that taking car apart, then Thurs that might be ready Friday. Pick it up on Friday, got a nice car wash same time. Staff explained everything, owner even took time to show the old damage car door. No magic or sales talk just honest communication and thats what we all need

Unfortunately, I have been to Hayward Auto Body many times. Their work has always been perfect and on schedule. Yesterday, was the icing on the cake...my car only had minor damage which looked like it could be buffed out. I dropped in, the car was looked at, immediately repaired; and, Richard, the owner, would not accept any payment. Not only that, Cindy suggested touch-up paint from the dealer for rock nicks and said she would show me how if I stopped by. I have NEVER been treated better anywhere!

This was my first time ever having to get a car fixed and they were by far the best. They have great customer service and family friendly and very understanding not only did they stay late and wait for me to arrive but they broke down every detail of my bill. Took the time to work with me and my car and now my car look just like I got it off the lot.. Thank you guys so much

When I walked in the two ladies working in the office were having a conversation between themselves so they didnt acknowledge me until they were ready. Then I was told they only do estimates until 4pm (it was 4:30) and they also only deal with certain insurance companies. I just needed my bumper repainted and was paying out of pocket so they wouldnt have helped me anyway. Im sure under the right circumstances theyre helpful, just not in my situation. However, theres no excuse for not greeting me when I came in.

On 5/20/19 I brought my 2013 Lexus EX 350 in to get my car repaired. I had 4 different claims where someone keyed my hood and side doors, scuffed up my front bumper, someone else accidentally hit my car with their door causing a major dent in my rear passenger and lastly someone kicked dents in my car. I brought it to Hayward Auto Body and they made my car look brand new again. My car looks Beautiful!!!! They even put sensors back in my rear bumper that fell out as well as put my front license plate on for me at no extra cost. I am so happy with the work they did. I feel like my car is brand new again. Do not hesitate on getting your car fixed here. 😆

Hayward Auto Body Shop is absolutely excellent. My 2017 Toyota Prius Prime got a bad front-end collision and was sent to this body shop by my insurance. Since my car has complex 360 degree object proximity sensors connected to the warning and self parking systems, I worried about fixing the damages, particularly to those sensors, to the original state. When I got my car back, drove around and checked all functions including the proximity sensors, particularly those damaged, I found all worked perfectly. Frankly speaking, it was a nice surprise.Besides their job competency, ladies in the office are very kind and caring. They sent a text message frequently informing their progress like 60% done and when it would be completed. Even a followup call after I took my car back Now my car looks like new. I highly recommend this shop for your collision repair, especially if you have a latest, advanced tech car.

I came in this morning to get an estimate for my 2010 VW Jetta which needed repairs to the front and back bumpers and was greeted by Richard. At first I told him that I wanted to pay cash but they only accepted insurance claims. At first they recommended another auto body shop that accepted cash but he asked to see my vehicle which I showed him. He asked me if I had 15 mins and I said yes and immediately he asked an employee to start fixing my front bumper, after he reattached my front bumper he asked me to backup my vehicle so that they could start working on my back bumper. After 30 minutes they had fixed bumpers and had began applying paint to cover up the cosmetic damages, they even gave me extra paint to apply at home. I tried to pay them cash but they wouldnt accept any payment for their work. I couldnt believe the amazing service I received today and am forever grateful for their hospitality. Richard and his staff really treated me like a family member. If youre in the East Bay and need an honest estimate for your car I highly recommend this place.

I ve been using this body shop since I moved to Hayward 12 years ago. Every time when I have had collision damages on my cars, I had to make estimates for the damages, and this place always had the best honest price. And I was never disappointed with the workmanship either. I suggest anybody to drop by and get an estmate if you need an auto body work. Take my word. Just compare with other places.

It is with much regret that I am writing this review. I have been dealing with Hayward Body Shop for over 10 years. Richard is an outstanding man. He and his wife having been running the body shop for many years. Richard is an excellent business man, who conducts himself with the utmost respect and had been always working for the customer. Today I went in to have an estimate done on my 1992 Silverado Truck. His wife whom I always kinda felt she was a bit uppity helped me. I asked her if I needed an appointment and she said no. But step outside and I will be with you. Well, I stepped outside and I couldnt find her and then she appeared with a bit of an attitude. She used the the words grilling you which I felt was inappropriate for any type of customer service. She thought the top piece above the fender of my truck was a separate piece. Which it is part of the bed liner. She said the side fender could be rubbed out and the side of bumper could just be fixed. She wouldnt let me finish any part of a sentence and then informed me....We deal primarily with Insurance Companies and that is why I am grilling you to find out what exactly you want I replied well, I want it done right. she said, Right? again thats what I am trying to find out by grilling you, and besides we have so many cars that we do have other people when can refer you too. Goodness, is money, green cash not taken respectfully enough? She huffed off like a child to retrieve her husband Richard. Who humblely came out with two business cards in is hands and I said here are two referrels for two other shops. I replied, did I upset your wife? and shook his hand, And he turned around a muttered yes you did and just kepted walking. Again, what a disappointment. I have brought several cars over the 10 plus years to this establishment and had the utmost respect for Richard Ogle. However, I must say, I was a bit disappointed when he knuckled under too is wifey who I believe should have stayed a blondy (maybe blondes have more fun lol) Instead of her now hard dark brown look. I left the cards on the pavement in their fancy OCD lot with the help that sadly cant speak very clear English and are afraid of the mean witch of Mission Blvd. Body Shop and went to JimNic Body Shop in Castro Valley.Jeff is such a sincere nice guy. Been in the business for many years. I highly recommend him.
