ABSOLUTE TERRIBLE customer service!!!!!!! they curse and have a lot of personal or side conversations in front of the customers!! they speak to customers any way they feel like speaking to them especially if they’re having a bad day and i’ve seen many of the workers on the phone when they’re supposed to be servicing you. There’s no customer service skills in this business AT ALL!! they take forever to service you and it’s obvious they all hate their jobs but yet continue to work there. i had a worker say if you’re paying with card go to her register. i went to her register and paid and asked for cash back and she got an attitude saying “i know you didn’t ask for cash back. this is what i get for trying to help now my drawer is short $50 and i said card only” she continued to go on and on with her coworker and when i tried to speak she kept talking over me and cutting me off. i could have turned that place upside down for her rudeness but i kindly took my purchases and left because quite simply, i’m doing better in life than this old woman. She’s missing a lot of teeth, a boatload of tattoos, purple lips, skinny and quite frankly she looks like a struggle. if you ever see her, please wait for the next cashier or leave!! so distasteful and unprofessional!! she said if you’re paying with card to go to her register NOT no cash back. she should have stated that in the beginning so no one would want cash back at the same time of the transaction!! i’ve had numerous unprofessional run ins and ugh this same place and it’s been quite awhile since i’ve came here. ran in for detergent and another disgusting experience!

All but one worker is extremely rude and they only ever have 1 cash register open with a line out the door most times. Management needs to hire more employees to make it less stressful on the current employees so maybe their attitudes will turn around. But even the managers are rude. Additionally this store does not honor the return policy listed clearly on the receipt. I do not recommend this Family Dollar whatsoever.

Prices are great easy to find anything I want

They are very, very rude in this store especially the manager, I didnt see any milk so I asked the guy stocking the shelves and he says that he dont speak english so I say it in spanish and he says again, I dont speak english,it was obvious that he simply didnt want to help me.So I go up front to complain the manager and another employee verbally attacked me,they called me all kinds of bad names,even called my mother a few names,then they have the nerve to tell me not to come in the store anymore

I wouldnt even leave 1 star rating if I could. The worst experience by FAR that I have ever had from both an employee and manager. Absolutely no integrity and unequivocally foul. The lack of accountability and obscenity that was demonstrated definitely will be reported to the store owner and corporate office. Just sad and miserable people representing this branch location..

Dont go here unless youre desperately wanting to stand in line for 10 minutes. Unlike CVS, they STARTED selling cigarettes around 2014! The chips, soda and canned products are in line or a bit cheaper than grocery stores.They stock some national houseware brands, but most people are buying the house brand which falls apart almost immediately.Unfortunately, a quarter of the floor space is taken up by trash kids clothing. Not trashy, but stuff an Aunt buys then you throw away after one wash.

Most of the time your waiting in line because there is only one cashier but you can see other employees that can assist but dont.

The store is convenient due to it being close but.... Its a zoo on the inside. Its always boxes everywhere on the floor the cashiers are always on the phone and being loud cursing ect ect.... The lines are always super long for whatever reason it smells like marijuana on the regular ..its not so much the store its mainly the employees. Overall this was probably the only family dollar that has great customer service. They greet right at the door and are kind when you cash out. Definitely will be coming here again!

Store needs to be more organized. Customer service is one of the best experience, at this location. Cashier greet, smile, thanked & wished me a nice day. Not usually like that at this store.

What it needs is Parking space. And sometimes you have to wait in line.

My favorite spot

Waited in line for over 10 minutes, no one was at the cashiers like they were supposed to be. The lady working on Monday, August 31st at 7:30pm rudely tells me I should have rang the little bell. How about you do your job instead?

This location is not the best. The shelves are a mess and the people are rude. I was looking to purchase some head phones, while i was looking at least 3 people tried to run me over with their shopping carts. This location is on Farmington Ave. in Hartford so I guess I should not be as harsh on this review. However, it wasnt a pleasant shopping experience. The line to pay was oddly long for a family dollar, as well. I did get a great pair of headphones for cheap, but other than that. This isnt the place for leisurely Sunday shopping.

As of June 14th 2020 a Spanish worker illegally closed down the store and got a attitude because she was the only employee working so she stopped letting people in because she said she was taking all the customers by herself

Improvement in the flooring makes it a more pleasant place to shop . Good every day prices and sales are even better.

The owners and management here are really rude and obnoxious!!!!!! In fact, they can even be heard yelling at both customers and employees. I dont recommend this store on Farmington Avenue. Ive been to other Family Dollars. The one in this particular store is terrible!!!! Ignorant and obnoxious ghetto hoodlum gutter trash for management and the owners arent much better..

Closer to walk to from home and office they dont always have everything out on shelf in time to buy. NEW Management has bless this store with exciting things and are servicing awesome customers services.

The store rotates/changes the staff periodically, and staff is usually more than happy to help customers out. But in regards to stocking shelves, very poor. Merchandise (boxes of) would be left on pallets, in the aisles for as many as two days, waiting to be put on shelves. I had to shop elsewhere, eventually having to pay $$ for gas, for neighbor to drive me to another store.

It’s a pretty good store, but it’s also pretty messy and unorganized. Otherwise there were no issues and the staff is nice!

Just needs to be better kept. I usually walk in and everthing is destroyed and disorganized. The lines are always long because the service there isnt up to par at all.

They follow EVERYONE! ITS A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE SHOPPING TRIP BUT I sometimes HAVE to grab a few items on the way home. Not to mention the constant bombardment of pple asking for spare dollars in the parking lot!

I only had one item. Cashier finished her last customer then literally looked at me and turned her back to stock cigs behind the counter. Another associate walked up and they talked among themselves then finally ringed me up. Unacceptable, will not return.

I brought a juice from them and turns out it was expired, October 21 2019 . Why are y’all selling juice that’s expired ?!

Crowded and slow

Why cant we leave zeroes for ratings??? This nasty, dirty rat trap of a store should be out of business!!!! Each time I went shopping the store was unbelievably dirty!!!! Nothing is organized and there was sticky stuff all over the floor!!!! I almost tripped and broke bones walking on their floors!!!! Then when you tell the management there all they want to do is cop a mean, nasty attitude!!!! Do not ever shop at this store, you will definitely have regrets!!!!

I like that it was newly renovated, but I did overhear some undesireable language while there, but otherwise I had a good experience.

Very bad coordination of the tellers in turn in a row that reached the refrigerators had 2 cashier and one of them closed his box and simply left which I see as very disrespectful to the people in the row and the supervisor was in front of him and he didnt do anything I didnt even ask him where he was going
