Huge bookstore with 2 levels. Such a great selection of merchandise as well as books and other resources for students. They sell Burt’s Bees products as well as other nice toiletries. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Employees here are absolutely rude. Better off going to Outpost. Wanted to do a simple return and they were completely rude to me after telling me I can exchange my item. Then minutes later after I found something to exchange it with, told me I couldn’t return it with the most awful attitude. The manger and the old lady there have no education about costumer service and does not deserve your business.

So for reasons of nobodys business I had in my hands here a rubber mallet, a hammer, and a screwdriver. I set them on the counter to pay for the stickers I wanted and the cashier, after ringing up my sticker sheet, asked if I was also buying the mallet, hammer, and screwdriver. Was good laugh.

Great experience on our college tour. My daughter has changed her thoughts about where to attend college next fall 22!!!

Everything is so overpriced oh, its a rip-off taking the kids money and the familys money just because they have the logo on it. On the other hand it is very clean.

The lack of customer service and respect from the man at the front desk of Madison CyberZone is extremely unnecessary and dissatisfying. I cannot believe JMU would hire someone like this man. I am a college student, I do not know much about computers and my laptop is broken. All I wanted to do was seek advice and make sure that I was choosing the best option by now spending over $900 in the past year at CyberZone on my laptop to be fixed. I was given minimal to zero explanation about what the issue was with my laptop and what the process would be to fix it. I felt like I was in the wrong by asking for a break down of the fees or a simple explanation. I have had issues with my laptop in the past and every time I have brought it to CyberZone I have received the same attitude and disrespect from this gentleman. JMU do better!

Love the bookstore! Always a great selection. Was disappointed when I went to use the bathroom, while shopping mid tailgate, and there was vomit on the floor outside the door. I was told by a book store staff member (not a student staff member either) that it would be cleaned up but, that it would take a while for someone to get to it. I was given the option of stepping over it if I really needed the restroom. This is unacceptable. It doesnt matter how busy the store is, messes, especially body fluids, should be cleaned up immediately. It was hindering the use of the restroom, smelled awful, and was being tracked around by others choosing to step over it. Come on book store...you can do better. This type of situation is embarrassing to those of us who take pride in our school. Inconvenient and gross.

We had met a friends daughter at the bookstore who in turn gave us an unofficial tour of the campus as our youngest son has JMU on his list of colleges. Momma got herself a shirt and Kaleb got himself a long sleeved JMU shirt well I should say momma bought it for him. The bookstore has some nice stuff thats for sure.

Easy to move around, merchandised well...although I liked their selection more 2-3 years ago. Clean restrooms BUT...as a new mom, disappointed they didnt have a changing table.I wouldnt expect changing tables in dorms or even dining halls...but the bookstore that tons of alumni with children go into...its long over due!

I bought a couple books. The staff were helpful and friendly in finding the books I was looking for.

This bookstore is well-stocked and nicely designed. We stopped in late afternoon, and the interior was bright. There are many branded items downstairs, and books and other things upstairs. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We know well be back!

Nice place. Very large but employees not willing to walk anyone to the items. Not to say anything bad they were detailed in the items location. Juat maybe a bit glued to the register

It has a lot of inventory but I was disappointed with lack of alumni gear.

The JMU Official Bookstore has tons of JMU merchandise. The first floor has apparel and general merchandise. The second floor has textbooks, supplies, laptops, and other electronics. Staff is primarily student run and very friendly. There are pay for parking spaces in the parking lot for non-parking pass holders.

Parking can be difficult depending when you visit. Hours arent always conducive to school visiting hours. Prices can be a bit high. They offer a great selection of JMU souvenirs, from clothing to blankets to mugs to ornaments to stickers. Fitting rooms available. They also offer many types of school supplies.

The book store is fantastic. They have everything you can think off. Great prices.

Very organized and welcoming

I visit every time I come back to Harrisonburg and always walk out happy. Even though I cant always find what I go in for (usually shorts or shirts in my size), I can always find something that gets me excited to show off my JMU pride!

The prices were a bit high, bit its to be expected from an on campus bookstore. They had clothes for men women and kids, so its nice to get something for the whole family. The upstairs is where you can get the school books, but I didnt personally check it out. They do have a small book section (non curriculum books) downstairs near the back on the righthand side. Its next the JMU bus station and JMU football stadium.

I called about an online order yesterday and I feel like the woman did not care to help much. Yes, I received all the information with the tracking information, but it would have been nice to hear the confirmation as well. I am a college student and I really need my book, and it was just disappointing to call.

Its got great apparel and swag! The prices are a little steep and somethings are rather overpriced. It tends to be cheaper to go to the Outpost.

JMU is one of the best Universities. Beautiful campus and students are polite and caring.

Always helpful staff. Everything is overpriced as to be expected due to licensing. That disappoints as some would like to support (be a fan) but most items are over $10 no matter what it is... T-shirts are the worse.

DO NOT BUY OR RENT FROM HERE!!!! You can find multiple places online that rent books much cheaper. Also they charge ridiculous amounts of money if your books is even a day late. I accidentally turned in a book a free days late and they charged me $175 for a $40 book. When I went in to the store to attempt to return it and just receive a late fee the staff was very unhelpful and rude. Overall terrible experience and will never be renting or buying any books through these slimely scam artists. Have no regard for any students or helping them out. They are only interested in getting every penny they can out of you!

After being forced to purchase an over-priced textbook from JMUs bookstore (professor would not allow us to rent from Amazon) I placed an online order to have my books shipped to the bookstore.After NO CONTACT from efollet or the bookstore, I went in person to investigate where my textbooks were. It turns out, THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER because they didnt have 1 (of 3) of the books I purchased. I found this unprofessional and a weak service.But Im not done.... I then had to place a special order to get the textbook they didnt have in stock and here I am 2 WEEKS LATER writing this review and STILL NO TEXTBOOK?!?!?! I am about to fail this class solely because of the poor management and lack of communication from the bookstore.I love JMU, but this is getting a tad bit ridiculous on the account of the bookstore.summary: RENT FROM AMAZON!!!!! CHEAPER AND FASTER IN MY OPINION.

It’s a very nice selection of JMU apparel but it’s on the pricey side but can be expected since it’s Nike. Since it’s on campus parking is a problem. Always go in and buy something before the football games. Before the football games it’s very crowded but the staff is very friendly and they have enough staff that the line checking out goes fast.
