Ive had both my Ford Escape and Chevy Avalanche serviced at the Sears Hanover Auto Center. John the service manager along with the entire service team are exceptional. The communication explaining what is needed for service as well as options which can effect cost is great. Also makes you aware of Sears specials which reduce costs. Quality of product and work has been excellent. The bonus is that you can have this work done on weekends which saves time and money. Big thanks to John and team!

Didnt properly secure my belt while changing my alternator. I almost died on the highway off ramp with no power steering. My water pump burst because of this. These bastarda took no responsibility. Wanted to charge me 750 to fix water pump. Got it done for 250. They did fix the alternator after we go in their face. They are the absolute worst here and your vehicle is not safe if they work on it.

Well, if you’re a woman & feel like being spoken to like a moron this place is perfect! They really know how to bring the mansplaining to the next level. My friend and I had to bring her car in last minute because it was making a concerning noise. As we were asking questions on what could have happened to it out of the blue like this, we were told that the mechanic had been “doing his job for 50 years” and “knows what he’s doing.” We never once insinuated that he didn’t know what he was doing? It was a strangely defensive response to that question. Then he starts lecturing her about things SHE had brought to HIS attention. It was so bizarre. He basically just waited for her to stop talking so he could listen to himself go on about things she had just said...... Attitude problems from grown men who are at their place of employment is ridiculous. Wouldn’t answer any questions. *COULDN’T* is more like it since they really have no idea what they’re talking about. He even had the audacity to ask if she knew how to back her car out... Yeah, she knows how to drive, sir. She’s an EMT who drives ambulances for a living. They were more concerned about getting an appointment so they could get paid before even explaining exactly what the issue was. Like really not letting it go and forced her to just lie and say yeah we’ll be back... so she could leave! They’re sketchy and money hungry. Lots of other reviews of scams they’ve pulled. The guy she was talking to doing the paperwork answered his cell in the middle of their conversation. The whole place is weird, rude, and extremely unprofessional. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s not worth going there even as a last resort like we did. Took it to another mechanic - who is respectful and informative to EVERYONE. Gave it to us straight & is fixing the issue right as we speak! Sears Auto needs to close down sooner than the other businesses in that building. Customers are being scammed and disrespected. It’s gross.

I do believe this was the best experience Ive had at any auto center. Customer service was excellent, and the mechanics went above and beyond the call of duty in repairing and caring for my vehicle.

Bunch of crooks! Broad daylight thieves in this day and age! I went to sears to get a new car battery installed in July 2016, I paid $160 and I was told I have a new battery installed and its all set. April 2017 car wont start and I got AAA to come over, I still had my old battery under the hood!! They hadnt changed my battery and charged me full price. This is ridiculous!!! Please be careful if you go to this shop.

BAD SERVICE: They are so dishonest STAY AWAY, I bought 2 pairs of tires and had them install, after just six months the front tires worn out because they did not do the alignment properly. They installed a new set of cheap front tires that did not match my rear tires for free because I had insurance on them .After just six months and five thousand miles later the same thing happened again. A tire that was supposed To last forty thousand miles did not last five thousand ! I had insurance on them, but I was denied service for a new set of tires or the reimbursement of my money, The front desk guy told me that the reason I was being denied service after the tires worn out was because I was a bad driver. After that I cancelled all the ties I had with Sears, after spending thousands of dollars on cloths,tools and appliances. I am know gathering all my proof of service and slips information to try to take them to small claims court and win my case .
