This past week I purchased a used car from Prime Buick GMC; Allan Palmer was the salesman who assisted me. I am extremely happy with the Prime Buick service in general, and with Allan in particular. My case was a bit unusual, as the car I purchased is not a Buick/GMC, but rather a German import; also, Im from out of state, which presented some registration and delivery complications. Allan took care of all it, and even personally delivered the car to me in Rhode Island. Also, all associated paperwork was in order which, dare I say, resulted in my registration experience at the RI DMV today to actually be an enjoyable one (nothing short of a miracle). This was all a direct result of Allans attention-to-detail and customer-first approach. I recommend Hanover Prime Buick GMC and Allan Palmer to anyone in the market for a vehicle purchase, new or used!

Dude, I don’t care whether you’re looking for new or used… go find Terrence at prime Hanover. Everyone in there was great but Terrence is the real deal. I went in to look at a pre owned and just closed the deal on a brand new GMC. Terrence was no pressure, worked through EVERY question I had, wasn’t mad at me once and I definitely wasn’t an easy buyer. He jumped through hoops and got me in the truck I loved. I’d be pretty confident buying from anyone in that dealership but if you want easy, professional, and the best deal do yourself a favor and go see Terrence.

I like these guys. Theyre a little smaller than the big GM dealership in the other H town nearby, but their service deals are better, wait times are better, scheduling is easier, and I find them to be very personable as well. Brought my 2018 Chevy equinox in for regular recommended service over labor day weekend, and it was a breeze. Elijah was a pleasure to work with.If I had one suggestion it would be to run cars through a quick wash after service. Thats a nice touch that would be greatly appreciated and go a long way towards establishing long-term service relationships.

At the Prime Buick dealer in Hanover I got excellent, courteous and efficient service, especially given the urgency of my need and how busy the service area was. This review would be 5 stars except that it took 3 tries to reach the service person on the phone who understood what I needed and found a way to fit me in that day, instead of the 10 day wait offered by the first 2 people I spoke with. On the 5 star side, the service itself was great, my tire warranty was accepted without question, and I still love my nimble 2 year old Buick Encore. And they gave my car a courtesy wash too!

EVERYONE WAS VERY POLITE, BUT I WAS PRETTY DISAPPOINTED WHEN I DID ARRIVE, I MADE MY APPOINTMENT A LITTLE OVER A WEEK EARLY, MADE IT A POINT TO LET THEM KNOW I WOULD BE DRIVING DOWN FROM MAINE AND WANTED A LOANER FOR THE DAY AS I WOULD NOT HAVE ANY OTHER TRANSPORTATION BEING AN OUT OF STATER, WAS NOT PREPARED TO SIT AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR OVER FOUR HOURS I WOULD HAVE BROUGHT OUR LAPTOPS OR SOMETHING, SO UPON ARRIVING WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO LOANERS, I ALSO WAS UNWARE THERE WAS NO SHUTTLE SERVICE ON SATURDAYS NO ONE MENTIONED THAT WHEN MAKING MY APPOINTMENT, SO WE WERE REALLY STUCK AT THE DEALERSHIP, THE WOMENS BATHROOM WAS SAD SANITARY TRASH CAN HALF RIPPED OFF THE WALL ALONG WITH THE LOCK NOT EVEN ATTATCHED TO THE STALL DOOR JUST VERY UNPLEASED WITH MY SERVICE THIS VISIT TO THEN BE TOLD AT THE ENDTHEY COULDNT DIAGNOSE MY ISSUE, WITHOUT ANYONE COMING TO GET MORE INFORMATION OR HAVE A TECH GO ON A TEST DRIVE. I just had my battery jump started and I went directly to the dealership to see if you could replace it right then. The service advisor, I cant recall her name, was extremely nice and accommodating. She got my car in right away to be tested and sure enough it was a bad battery. She told me the cost and how long it would take so that I wasnt left wondering what I was in for. The battery was replaced and I was on my way!

Started off with a great experience with Dennis G. on a Saturday when I drove down to see a minivan I wanted. Went back the following Monday as I was interested and he mentioned they dont do sales agreement over the phone as my bank was financing the purchase. Waited forby awhile with back and forth, him gathering info on my car that I mentioned I would trade if need be. Manager Mark came when I mentioned Id skip trading in my current car as it had alot of mileage due to my work and Id sell it at a later date. Things took a turn when I mentioned my rate and Mark in disbelief questioned that rate, asking whether I was sure? Was that the rate for the car I was buying or the current one? And him stating he wasnt sure he could sell me the minivan without him seeing the payments for my current car which Id bought new. Over and over,I told him my bank was financing the purchase thus no need for him to know my payment history and Prime GMC wouldnt be worrying about payments as my bank was paying 100% of the purchase including any fees and taxes involved. He further said that that rate didnt sound right and that Prime deals with competitive banks. I mentioned that Dennis had stated from the start that they deal with my bank; and Mark confirmed they do but wasnt sure about the start. He further stated he didnt have many of the minivans in his lot. It got to a point I inquired if he was saying that he wont sell the minivan to me after it came to my realization that he was profiling me and had already decided I couldnt buy the minivan. Im not sure what kind of customers are the right ones for this dealership but one shouldnt be judged by their looks, bank relations or cars availability in the lot. Had Mark let Dennis finish the transaction, it could have been a much better review as well as experience for me as I would not have driven off in disbelief. Dennis was personable and outright professional and if not for the bad taste I had of the place Id have eventually left with the minivan but it wasnt worth that kind of treatment!!

Was told a car that we wanted needed to be repaired (oil leak). Was later emailed if we were still interested in the car (which we were). Was then informed a deposit was made on the car and sold. One piece of advise. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PRIME BUICK GMC. They have no business ethics and their loyalty to the customer is 0-none.

Brought the truck in for two separate days without the check engine issue resolved. . Made an appointment and waited two weeks to get he truck in. The oil was changed, tires rotated, and bulb changed. They reset the check engine light but the repair was not done.Made me wait 1 1/2 weeks to get the truck back in. Called at 3:00 and the truck was never looked at. I brought it to a local independent shop and it was fixed in a half of a day.I have always supported bringing our fleet back to the dealership but never again. You have lost a customer for life.

The salesman Allan made this transaction happen. If it wasn’t for his helpful friendly personality I would have walked away after my second trip. It’s not very convenient purchasing a vehicle from a dealership in MA, especially if you from out of state. I’ve purchased vehicles in many states. I had no idea MA doesn’t do temp plates. It took 3 trips to this dealer, 150 miles from home to complete a deal. I finally made the trade and took the new truck home. The dealership still has to send someone to my local town hall to finalize.. seems crazy! In most cases in other states I’ve been out the door with new vehicle in 2 hours or less. Beyond the ridicules MA red tape.. The price was fair, the salesman Allan was top notch and the deal shop itself decent to work with.

SALES MANAGER IS LEADER OF A BUNCH OF CROOKS. As soon as they find out you have your own bank to finance, you become chop liver. They messed up my warranty for my certified pre owned. Ive been calling for 3 MONTHS. EVERYONE GIVES ME THE “well call you back” including the SALES MANAGER MARK. I had to drive down more than 2 times only for them to tell me they need time. STAY CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, ESPECIALLY IF YOU FINANCE FROM YOUR OWN BANK. My next step is calling corporate!

The Service Department at Prime Buick GMC is always very efficient. Elijah has helped me more than once with scheduling and check out. He is always very friendly and helpful. This time, McLee personally vacuumed my car and when he realized he missed an area where I had something on the seat, he went back and vacuumed that area. He was very personable and courteous. They communicate promptly with status of service and when car will be available. Overall, its a good experience. There is a waiting room there also with place to work, watch TV, and get a beverage and snack.

I had an amazing experience here recently with my new purchase of my 2018 Acadia.Brian and Terrence were absolutely amazing I ended up having to bring my two young children with me due to not having a sitter I was supposed to be going to give them my check and set up a time to come back and sign all paperwork and pick my car up and they went above and beyond by getting everything dealt with last night so I was able to take my brand new car home and wouldn’t have to come. I would warn people about buying used vehicles here, I purchased a 2019 Ram 2500 with 14k miles. I worked a deal for some repairs to the truck as well as a safety inspection which I was told they do to every truck, it took about 4 days for them to perform there services. I picked up the truck after being told the truck was ready on several other occasions that I drove to the dealership and was told they thought I was someone else, no biggie . When I picked up the truck and was heading home I noticed the brakes were pulsating very bad coming off the highway to the point where it was hard to keep the truck in one lane. When I called the dealership, I asked if they had indeed performed a safety inspection I was told when I picked up the vehicle that they had performed a safety inspection change the oil any filters that needed to be done rotated the tires and did an alignment. The trucks alignment is way out of whack the reverse light doesn’t work the TMP sensors are not reading and the truck will not pass inspection, I took the truck to a Dodge dealership for an inspection and some recalls that need to be performed I was quoted over $1800 for the brakes, approximately another $500 to replace the TMP sensors that are not reading and to perform an alignment. When I talk to the sales manager I felt like I was getting the runaround about why the brakes were like that because it was sitting on the lot for a long time which wasn’t the case and I didn’t have any faith and trust in having any repairs done at this location not to mention needing the wheel lock to remove tires which was never put back in truck after they supposedly did a tire alignment…More to follow as I try to resolve this ..

Prime Salesman Dennis Grabowski and Prime Business Manager Kevin White were both personable, honest and the consummate professionals. After 6 months of shopping around and doing my research, I found a fantastic vehicle that just hit their inventory. It was reasonably priced and there wasnt much negotiating room on the price (which I def understood). The vehicle was in good shape but the tire treads did not have much life on them. The Prime sales team did not allow this to be a point of contention, agreeing to change out the vehicle with new tires. That was enough to make me feel like I had some say in the final price. The rest was easy, transparent and expedited; to date, the Prime team is detailing (interior / exterior) and installing the 4 new tires with the expectation of us driving our beautiful new ride home this Friday. They promised a cleaned, mechanically inspected, heavily warrantied and registered vehicle before the weekend - I have every reason to believe theyll deliver! Thanks for making a typically stressful endeavor relatively simple and streamline. When we purchase our next vehicle(s) for our army of kids, Prime gets a returning customer.-Dennis Keeler

I am an international student with a very thin credit file, so buying a car was always going to be a bit of a process. Im happy to say that the folks over at Prime Buick GMC did their part to make it as painless as possible. There were a couple of hiccups along the way, but I wouldnt say any of them were the dealerships fault.I first reached out to Prime Buick GMC through the GM Certified website and, even though it was the middle of the night, I received a reply nearly instantly from Keana Hewitt, one of their business development managers. My schedule at work didnt allow me to actually go see the car in person for nearly a week, but Keana was great at keeping in touch and answering my questions about the vehicle.When I finally made it to the dealership, my salesman, Justin Spellman, had the car pulled up and ready, and was laid back, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the product. Within about an hour of pleasant conversation and working the numbers, I was approved with pretty much the exact terms I expected coming in. Unlike other dealership experiences Ive had, it felt like we were both on the same side from the get-go, with the common goal of getting me in a car on terms that work for all parties involved.Then it was off to the finance office, where I worked with Jason - I really, really appreciated him not pushing add-ons I didnt need on a base-model economy car that Im not likely to keep past 4-5 years, still under factory/CPO warranty.The only issue popped up a couple of days later as paperwork was being finalized, as the bank required a US government-issued ID to process the loan, so I had to take a day off and go to the Springfield RMV (the only one with any appointments available...) where I spent the whole day because their system crashed... but thats a story for another time. Not the dealerships fault, though it wouldve been nice to know ahead of time.Another thing I should probably mention is that, despite being notified via email that Prime Buick GMC offered free delivery on all sales during the pandemic, they didnt seem thrilled with the idea... which makes sense, given that it wouldve taken staff off the sales floor, so I agreed to pick up the car myself.Lastly, speaking of the car, its a beautiful CPO 2019 Chevy Spark LS, and Ive found myself coming up with excuses to take it out for a spin every day, just for fun. Its virtually indistinguishable from a brand new car, and it meets my needs perfectly - all the tech I need (Android Auto is a godsend, automatic headlights are great for my forgetful self), and none that I dont (I love my crank windows and wouldnt trade them for power ones in a million years). Its surprisingly peppy, stable at any legal speed, and way roomier than other similarly-sized cars (Im 61 and can sit behind myself comfortably).All in all, a great experience. Thank you, Prime Buick GMC! Ill be back for service, new cars if I stay in the area in the future, and will be referring friends in the meantime :)

Great experience getting my 2019 Buick Enclave serviced at Prime Buick GMC. Bill Maloney, the Service Director, arranged for my car to be picked up and dropped off from work. He kept in frequent communication with me about the issues found and how much it would cost to fix. The final price ended up being less than what he had originally discussed with me. Im very happy with my service and would definitely go there again.

Sometimes when you bring your vehicle in for service,you dread the whole experience. Starting with the problem,taking the time to drop off and pick up your vehicle, not to mention the people you have to deal with on top if everything else!But not at Prime G M C in Hanover, my service rep us Mclee Dauphin, just laying eyes on this kid cheers me up. He is so personable and knowledgeable in his job! He greets you with a Good morning every time I go there, he explains everything that is going on with your vehicle. Bringing my vehicle in for service becomes a joy.I hope the management team knows what an ASSET he is to their Business?

Bill Maloney and his team at Prime Buick GMC were excellent to deal with. I was greeted at the service bay when I pulled in and the customer service rep asked me what he could do for me today. He listened to my issue and talked me through the steps involved and actions they would take to investigate. The called me early the next day, were polite and professional and suggested different options to consider. In the end the fix was a simple electrical issue which was easy to fix and saved a lot of money vs the other options on the table. When I picked up the car they pulled it around for me and made sure I was all set. Hopefully I dont have anymore issues, but if I do I will be bringing it back to Prime Buick GMC for sure

We have had many vehicles over the past 50+ years and our experiences with the Prime Buick GMC Service team has been the best. They are always attentive, respectful, courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating. Whether it is routine maintenance or an unexpected problem they consistently have met or exceeded our expectations. This last visit for the 75K recommended service checkup and a problem with the tailpipe becoming separated form the muffler was handled quickly and with great satisfaction.It is great knowing they can be counted on when we need them!!!

I purchased a 2021 GMC AT4 from this dealership on March 19th, 2021. I am active duty military and wanted to take advantage of the great GMC Military pricing they had on the vehicle. I traded in my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 and had pre approval through my Navy Federal Credit Union. They insisted they wanted to deal with the financing and I allowed, they did get a better rate so I went through them.Fast forward to April 14, I received a text from Rich stating they needed the insurance on the new vehicle; I sent that from State Farm.On April 16th, I asked if they had returned my $500 deposit I had made when I originally ordered the truck to hold it when it came to the dealership. He responded (copied from his text message): “ sry yes I checked on the deposit and they sent it out on the 9th but if you havent received it by now I will have them cancel it and do a new one. As far as I have been told the registration stuff should be good now.”On April 21st I received the following message: “Hey Andrew, Sorry for the late text. I am having issues with the registry because of taxes. Apparently in Illinois you only get tax credit for the 1st 10k of trade value.” I had responded and then a call ensued. Long story short; they wanted me to pay for the difference between the taxes I paid set in the contract and the value that Illinois was providing.Note: At this point, my loan was already approved; first payment was already made; contract for vehicle signed. I told them that there was a reason I had a PreApproval so I did not have to put any money down. I told them I was unable to pay for the $1600+ difference in taxes for the vehicle and I did not believe it was right to ask me for that since it was an error with their finance department. I say that with the understanding they don’t deal with out-of-state registrations regularly, I’m sure, but certainly not the customers fault. I am active duty and since my Home of Record is Illinois, I wanted to keep it Illinois plated as I still have a Illinois license and am allowed to. I bought my 2018 GMC in Illinois at Laura Buick GMC and this was the first time trading it in, certainly out of state so it is not my fault for not knowing how the process works, I feel it is their job to know as I am the customer.Fast forward for today, May 12th, my registration is still not fixed on my vehicle. I called at this point to speak to a manager, Mark, to let them know the situation at hand and hoping for assistance. He threw me completely off, was rude, and was harassing for the money and saying that I of all people should know “laws”. I think it is the other way around and their finance department should know state laws and taxes, etc. or at least do the research before they type up the contract. It is not I, the customers, job to know or do that.Mark tried saying that it’s fine I am still driving the vehicle the way it is, etc. But I personally feel if in an unfortunate event, say I got into a car accident, it would not be ok. The vehicle is not registered and has not been from March 19th to present day.In addition, I’ll take that their text message that they sent me a $500 check for my deposit was a lie and I should assume I won’t get that back in return.It really is unfortunate because I personally liked my sales representative and when purchasing the vehicle everyone was so nice. Even provided them with a referral of a coworker. I would have been a returning customer for both maintenance and possible trade in, in the future. The error they made and the way the manager, of all people, treated me over the phone I will not be returning for neither maintenance nor possible future purchases.Very sad the way I was treated; and solely writing this review because as a manager; you are to oversee your people and oversee processes and to ensure processes are in place. If I call to speak to a manager, I am looking for solutions, not harassment and being downright rude. More than happy to post the text message conversation of all this that collaborates the story.
