The South Hanover staff was awesome! I arrived for my inspection appointment, and the staff took care of it with no problem. I was also able to talk through a tire upgrade for my truck, and the staff super knowledgeable. We discussed different tire options, pros and cons, and pricing. Never felt like I was being pressured or sold. I will definitely be returning to have my vehicle serviced here in a few months.

I took my vehicle for a simple oil change and the service I received was beyond belief. The staff was very professional and very helpful. The oil change was done and a very extensive inspection was done. I was impressed at the attention to detail they had and was blown away in how the whole process was shown to me via smart phone step by step.

If I could, Id give you half a star because I took my car cause leaks antifreeze, so they told me it was the new radiator a just put a couple days ago, I wanted to trust them so I let them put another radiador $300 more expensive than the one I bought. Next day I took my car and when I came back from work it was still leaking antifreeze, so I was FURIOUS they charged me almost $1200 and didnt even fix my problem. I will NEVER come back to this place again, I recommend take your car to hanover brake and lube on Baltimore St.

They reviewed everything in detail and helped me understand the problems. You could see pictures they take so you know they aren’t ripping you off. I ended up at South Hanover Automotive Tire Pros due to an errant wood screw that had imbedded itself in my cars drivers side rear tire. I called before showing up to make sure that I could get it repaired and somehow ended up with the cell phone number of the owner, Mike. He could not have been more courteous and gave me the telephone number of the shop itself; which I promptly called. I was told to bring the car in and they would take care of the tire as soon as possible. When I arrived, I was politely greeted by Neil and being a new customer, all of my data was quickly entered into their system, gave Neil my key fob, and seated myself in the lobby (which by the way is a very comfortable area). During the time I was waiting I observed multiple customer interactions and with each one, continued to be more impressed by the business. Every customer was treated with utmost respect and courtesy and the ultimate goal of the folks at the service counter was not about making money for the company (unlike another place which shall remain nameless but is right next door); but instead it was about meeting the needs of the customer. Each person was given information about any needed repairs and the cost was carefully explained. If things were too expensive, multiple opportunities were presented and tailored to best meet the needs and desires of the customers. No one was ever subjected to any type of sales pressure or hard sell techniques.Much to my surprise, after only 40 minutes, I looked outside and my car was being pulled back into the customer parking area (it had been taken into the shop in less than 15 minutes after I arrived). Neil promptly called me to the counter, explained the repairs (which were the proper type - patch and plug), the charges (which were more than reasonable), and asked if I had any questions. Since everything was explained so well, I did not have any so I paid the bill and left the business. During my two times at the counter, everyone there was polite, had a great sense of humor, and an obvious desire to provide great customer service.This treatment, for a first time customer, was enough for me to realize that South Hanover Automotive should become the place where I take my car for any type of service in the future. Anyone in the Hanover Area, not just the south side of town, should give serious consideration to using South Hanover Automotive for tires or any type of service for their car(s).In case it wasnt clear, I couldnt have been happier with the service I received here and fully intend to return in the future.

HIGHLY recommend Evan and the team at South Hanover Auto! The entire front of my vehicle was damaged in snowy/icy weather. Having late work hours, I was able to drop my car off after business hours - Evan generously meeting me and getting me all set up with their courtesy car for the few weeks it was being repaired! Kept me in the loop the entire time. Getting my car back, it had look as good as the day I bought it - even on the inside. They made what is never a “fun” experience, into truly a smooth and easy one.

Very pleasant experience here. They got my vehicle in right away and found the root cause of my problem right away and provided me several options to get my car running again. My vehicle needed major engine repairs and it was a little more than i could afford at the time but jack helped me out by getting me financed for the repair with low payments i could afford. My repair was a bigger job and took a few days to repair. I was offered a loner vehicle so i had transportation till the work was completed. They also were very honest and found other issues that my vehicle had. I was not ready to do all the repairs at the time but they broke down the other repairs by importance so i could take care the most critical issues first to keep from breaking down on the road or having more expensive issues at a later time. They kept in contact with me keeping me up to date on the progress of my vehicle. This place is one of the best automotive facilities i ever been to. Everyone in there are very nice a knowledgeable. I would recommend everyone to here. After this experience here i am a south hanover automotive customer for life.

Jack was absolutely fantastic. I ended up at South Hanover Automotive because I had a leak in my tire and no other place could get me in anytime soon. I called SHA and they were able to bring me in immediately. I had them do some other work with my car and Jack was excellent at explaining everything to me in terms I could understand as well as sending me pictures of issues in my car. Jack kept me well updated throughout the process. They have courtesy cars and I was able to leave my car with them without the inconvenience of not having a car. The courtesy car was clean and so nice to have, but I missed my car. What really set South Hanover Automotive apart was on Friday evening, I was assuming I’d not have my car until the following week because they are closed on weekends. Jack called Friday night and said my car was almost done and he would come in Saturday morning so I could get my car and have it for the weekend. That is EXCELLENT customer service. I have never had a better experience at any other car related service. No one was pushy and I was completely comfortable there as a female, with very limited knowledge of cars. I will absolutely be a returning customer.

Went in with a leak in my tire I was unable to find myself. Was hoping it would be a simple patch job but that turned out to not be the case. Asked if I could see the damage and the guys willingly brought the tire out and showed me exactly where the leak was. The service advisor worked with me to find a cheap alternative tire and was very accommodating. The guys turned a frustrating turn of events into a smooth experience.Ended up having to leave my car overnight and the guys facilitated me with a ride home and back to the shop the next day. Everyone I spoke with was professional and friendly. Overall a very satisfying experience and Ill be sure to return in the future if I have any needs.

Evan and the crew are absolutely phenomenal! They were able to get my moms car in the next day for a whole new set of tires plus they offer payment plans! My 4 year old ended up needing to use the restroom which was so great! Being a garage it was a little chilly inside but they literally have a heater in the bathroom, and entire changing area for infants, and hand lotion! All huge pluses for a mom! They also have a great kids play room which included stickers, coloring books, games, and a pac man machine! All in all I would highly recommend for anyone in need of any work done on their car!

I needed new tires and heard about this company who was fixing flat tires from something going on in the neighborhood for free. I thought I would like to check them out and I was not mistaken. Evan and the crew was very friendly and knowledgeable about my needs. They got me the right tires for the type of driving I do and the ride is remarkable, almost feels like a new car. They didnt try to sell me a lot of extra services, they did however show me some items that might need some attention in the future. They had a list and even took pictures of the parts in question so I could see the wear on each part. Iam very pleased with the personnel and service I received. I have never received this type of service and I will be returning to them for my future needs.

Everyone was very helpful and I was very pleased with my end results

They told me I needed a series of different repairs that did not need to happen, and upon finishing them I found that they had lost one of my lug nuts, broke a mounting bolt on my cold air intake, and left the cover off of my fuse box under the hood. The intake pipe made contact with my battery, now I have to install a battery just to get it running again. Absolutely do not come to this place ever.

Customer service made it seem like they wanted to get to know you and just down to business, they offered me a ride back to my house and would pick me up from my house, if I didnt have a ride, prices are extremely reasonable, and they are, of course, on the south side of Hanover, making it convenient to get work down on my car instead of going on the other side of town. They definitely got a new customer out of me.

Only 1 star because 0 wasn’t allowed.Don’t waste your time here for inspections. They will knit pick you car to pieces. Comparing your cars maintenances schedule to carfax.When you call around and other shops can’t get you in for a week that’s usually a good thing. This places gets you in the same day but you will pay dearly.Do yourself a favor and stay away. The mere customer service will talk down to you and try and scare you into making a split second decision. Guaranteeing there prices are better then anyone’s around. NOT TRUE!

We brought my wife’s minivan to be looked over since we bought it used. The mechanics found multiple issues with the van and repaired everything that was an immediate problem. We got it home and there was an issue with the steering that wasn’t resolved as promised. Evan took care of us, he replaced the part at no additional cost to us. Now it drives like new! Great work but they oversell and have high prices!I took my 2012 Prius here to get its state inspection and any routine maintenance done that was necessary. I was only intending for them to do what the Toyota manual recommends but they ended up convincing me that more should be done. They ended up doing a Complete Induction Fuel Injector and Intake Clean but when I researched online this is actually not considered normal maintenance by Toyota. I believe this was an upsell / oversell that cost me an extra $300. Next time Im going to tell them to just stick to the maintenance schedule unless something is wrong.As for the high prices, I was charged $334.13 (parts & labor) for a Spark Plug replacement. I looked around online at average prices for a spark plug replacement on a 2012 Prius and even used calculators for my zip code and got an estimate that falls around $215 or so. That means I got a markup of about 50%, which is pretty pricey! (see the website yourmechanic for the estimate I used)I do sincerely believe they did good work on my vehicle. I have no way of being sure, but they left a good impression on me that they knew what they were doing, so I am happy for that, thus the three stars.South Hanover Automotive asked me for feedback and I gave them this info in summarized form. I received no comment after a month so Im now posting here.Bottom line: If you dont mind paying a lot just to be sure you are getting good service, Id recommend them. If you want good value for your money, I bet there is better in town. That being said, this was the first place I went to for this service so I could be wrong. If you do go here, get an estimate first and watch out for being oversold!

This is easily the best place for auto care in the Hanover, PA area. The front desk staff treats you like family, and the shop technicians keep your vehicle on the road. They offer loaner cars and rides back home while your car is getting work done, are flexible to meet your needs, and provide quality care to keep your vehicle in prestine shape. They recently offered car detailing, but it looks like they have been doing this for years - my car picked up a lot of stains on the inside from me driving 30k miles a year (thats a lot of coffee and food crumbs). I recently had an issue where I spilled an entire dish of food on the passenger seat and I was worried the seat was ruined. These guys did a great job detailing my car - the interior was as clean as it was when I bought the car new. I highly recommend this place for all your vehicle needs.

I dont have enough time in the day to tell all the good things about this place. Mike went above and beyond for me to help me out. I went to him on a referral. I have a strong mechanic background and do most of my own maintenance that doesnt require a lift. I was having starting issues and thought it might be a fuel pump issue. I also have a crazy work schedule. I was promised if I dropped off at night and be ready the next morning with calls about diagnostic and getting my go ahead before anything further. And WOW!!! Evan with the team is very helpful and strategic. I brought my truck in for a front end alignment and inspection. Upon the inspection Evan and the team found excessive play in my axels, upon further evaluation my front differential was trashed in my truck. Updates were made with me daily on the status of warranty claim etc and updates of repairs including pictures!
