Bought my new mattress there. Forgot the gentlemans name that helped me. He answered all my questions & didnt try to push a more expensive mattress on me. Gave me discounts to lower the price. The 2 fellows that delivered it where both very gracious. I would definitely use American Mattress again.

My mom and I experienced the best customer service! For starters, the place is very clean and everything is detailed. The representative was clear when talking and knowledgeable. He explained everything and made sure that, because of the language barrier, we understood everything. The merchandise was sold at a good price and we were just over all happy.

After looking for over a month, we came to American Mattress Hanover Park and glad we did.No hard sales, no lack of knowledge and no limited variety. They actually listen to you and then recommend what is best and in your price range. They are very knowledgeable and fair.We purchased from here and delivery was on time and fast. Great experience with Rob. He did a awesome job giving me all the info, in a conversational approach. I didn’t feel like I was being sold to at all. He also encouraged us to go and shop around, and bring a better deal back to him.. and he’ll match it. We were able to find a better deal, but the service at the other place paled in comparison. Typical cheesy salesman as soon as I walked in the door. I took the new number back to Rob, and without hesitation.. he met the price. I bought from him the next day, and got it delivered a few days later. Great overall experience!

He was upfront and honest about all the mattresses in the store and helped us find the one that best suited my fiancée and I. He looked out for us in every way - right up to the point the matress was delivered. Its rare you find someone who cares about the customer all the way through, especially in a sales driven industry. However I cant recommend Aaron enough. He truly cares and will make sure you are the happiest and most satisfied customer possible.

Alex was great! He helped us narrow down our choices based on a few different questions and having us try different mattress types based on those answers, then had us try the same firmness at different price points. We talked about the bases as well, since we need an adjustable sleeping experience. We didnt end up with the cheapest or most expensive mattress - but we ended up with the right one.

We came here after going to several other locations because it was near our home and we had an idea of what we wanted. Store Manager Robert was very friendly, informative, and eager to assist us. We felt we had enough knowledge to make a good choice, but Robert brought up a few things we may have overlooked. He was not condescending and was extremely helpful in our buying decision. Other stores in the area made us feel like we were at a used car lot with pushy salesman. Not here. Great customer service. Robert was able to save us a few bucks more than the other stores too.We just have to wait a few days for delivery, but I don’t expect any issues regarding that. Highly recommend this location for a stress free shopping experience.

If youre going to buy a bed Jim is the guy to see!!! Hands down. He is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable (he really knows bed talk). There are so many more elements to a bed that I never knew and even cared to know. But Jim did not hassle us and Lord knows I am a bargain shopper and I am going to shop around. He told us we would be back and we were; knowing for sure I was going to get the best price. I even had my 3 yr old son with us and he is a very shy kid; Jim was so nice that at one point my son jumped into his arms and put his head on his shoulder to relax. We were in hysterics. Go see Jim and you will sleep like a log knowing you got a great deal!!!

Walked in for their Labor Day sale, just looking to replace our 12 year old mattress. Rob greeted us, asked us what we were looking for. Then he went into the 3 bears mattress test. We found that we liked the medium firmness, then Rob asked if we prefer the spring or foam or combo feel. He explained everything; he did not push a sale for the most expensive bed or any extras.Rob is friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of our needs.When they delivered the mattress, they guys that delivered were fast and friendly.

My wife and I just bought a new home and wanted to upgrade our sleeping situation. We gave tons of thought into buying a mattress online from a company such as Casper, Purple, and Dreamcloud. We were leaning towards the online retailers because of price and quality. That being said, we strolled into American Mattress and were incredibly lucky to meet Rob. Rob was very understanding of our price concerns, and explained online business models as compared to American Mattress. At first, we thought he was trying to just get a sale, but as he began to explain the differences in bed styles, types, and grades, he showed us the best mattresses at our price point and gave amazing information and comparisons. He DID NOT pressure us into buying our bed, and even encouraged us to at least try cheaper models of our bed to compare. All in all, Rob showed us that the same quality we expected for lower prices is VERY POSSIBLE at American Mattress. This place has average mattresses at very high prices, the staff doesnt seem too happy to take care of your either. but they should since theyre on commission if you look around you can get a better mattress at a less expensive price

Ive used them several times and they have never been pushy or dismissive. Way better than mattress firm and their high pressure sales. They survive by being a family owned business with good service, unlike mattress firm which just takes over the market by purchasing all the competition, despite poor service.

Based on a couple other older reviews, I almost opted for another location, but glad I went. Jeff tells me the delivery guys are rather nice to deal with, too.

Terrible customer service from the owner. He yelled at my dad about not paying a delivery fee when they told us it was free for local drop offs. He threatened to cancel our order because we didnt want to pay the delivery fee but we willingly cancelled it anyway because of his attitude.

We visited the store in streamwood twice to order mattresses. The first time we went we ordered a temperpedic and we love it. The second time we ordered eclipse mattresses for our 2 younger sons. When we went both times we had Alex helping us he is friendly he helped us figure out what we needed with the temperpedic because of the pain im always in and the difficulty i have sleeping.The mattress we got is much better than the one we had. Temperpedic is the way to go. Thank you Alex for helping us both times with everything. I highly recommend seeing Alex for your mattress needs.

American Mattress......if you go there make sure you get Sales Manager ROBERT QUARNSTROM.....Professional, Friendly, Knowledgeable. Hes not just a sales manager, he knows his stuff. MY BF and I went in there and probably tried 8 different mattresses, Robert asked us questions and he made sure he matched us to the right bed.I was very impressed with all the information he gave us on all the beds we tried.After being there for a good 30 mins, we needed to think about it and do some more shopping around. So we went across the street to the competitor, who shall remain nameless. We walk in and the place was crowded with beds, we didnt see any well known brand names, the sales men, no knowledge, more interested in getting you in and out, they were more interested in selling us a bed in a box. We were there for 5-10 mins.So we leave and went back to American Mattress, spoke to Robert again, who continued to educate us on the beds, Robert made sure we were getting the correct bed, he made us try them again and once we picked out the bed he drew up the paper work. He knew we were on a budget and he called his Manager to talk to him about coming down a little on the price and his Manager did and we were able to get it at cost. We went a little over budget but we are so happy and cant wait to get our New Bed.Robert Quarnstrom and his Manager really know what it means to make the Customer happy.
