We called the store to 1. Verify they had an item in stock and 2. Verify the time they close because Hurricane Ida had made a lot of things crazy. We were told our item was in stock and that they did not close until 5 PM. We drive 30 minutes to arrive at 3:50 for the lady to meet us at the door and tell us they can not help us because they close in an hour. We explain her our situation. She then tells us to pay for it online and then we can pick it up Monday. I tried to ask her why this wasn’t explained to us on the phone like this and she shrugs her shoulders and closes the door. ON TOP OF THIS … there were no customers in the parking lot and one customer in the store. First and LAST experience with Verizon in Hammond I can promise you that.

Went to the store to get one of my business lines addressed. Lady met us at the door and told us we had to wait in our vehicle but she let another customer that just pulled up walk right in. I asked how long the wait was and it was an issue with one of our business lines. We were told they had 4 customers in front of us and it was minimum 20 minutes per customer. So about an hour and a half. So we left because we had seen on line they were opened tomorrow 11-5. When the lady called us about 1-1/2 later I asked if I could set an appointment for tomorrow at 11:00. I was told they are not open on sundays even tho it says they are.
We went back to finish our phone swap and my husband joined Verizon from at&t. Carnette was very very helpful and had us fixed up in no time. She helped multiple customers at one time and is very good at managing her time and getting customers helped and on their way. Great job Hammond Verizon! The other store associates were also helpful and friendly.
Checked website to get store hours for Sunday. It listed the store being open 11-6, only to get there at 1:15 and it was closed. So I’ll continue to keep my 4 phones lines with ATT a little longer.
Very Slow, the employee that sign me in did advise a short time. Hour and 10 minutes later Im helped. The employee that sign me in helped 2 customer out that came in some time after me. The time he helped them l would have been in and out.
These people will outright lie to you about what they are setting you up with. Told me they were turning my phone on at a pro-rated price. Only thing, they failed to say I would not have data. I was ready to pay the fee but the guy made out like he was doing me a huge favor. Guess what, took a minimum fee for minimum service. I needed data. No data till I pay the full month in the next week. Dont know there head from a hole in the ground. Good luck to anyone who has to deal with these individualsI took the manager s advice and gave a second chance. Brett waited on me and he took the time to correct all wrong. A #1 employee. Made me feel so much better. Made this 65 year old feel so good. Thank you Brett😁

They say unlimited everything and plan starts at 89.99 a month, so you can expect to pay double that cause every phone company lies about theyre contracts.

I walked up at 4:55pm & the guy said he is closed & just locked the doors. I told him that the Representative had 2 Z FOLD cases on Hold for me and all I have to do is just pay for them, he kept repeating that I cant go in bc he just locked the doors. The Store in Hammond, La LOST 2 Accessory SALES as well as more due to I Live Out Of Town. Thanks Verizon!

Excellent service but unfortunately they didnt have the phone that I was looking for in stock.
We was trying to get new phones and the lady came out and told us we have to make a call to pay for it and they will bring the phones out to us well we was on the phone the same lady came out and left a customer pull up and was told they was close now not one time did they say anything to me about being close for 30 minutes we sat in our truck waiting. Now am home calling again to change it from picking up in store to mailing it to me.

Im a fan of Verizon! I have the distinction of having been a customer of nearly all the more popular telephone companies. Im hard to please and I happy to say that I am more than pleased to declare that I am 100% satisfied with them even after more than 7 years. They have to date been prompt and completely satisfactory in resolving every issue I have had. The fact I havent had that many issues is also a testimony of the quality of their services.

I have tried multiple times calling to get someone on the phone and pressed the option to talk with a rep and was hit with another set of options which there was none to get someone on the phone! It’s frustrating and unprofessional!
Clean store and in most cases they were able to help me with most of my problems. Others need to be called in directly to Verizon. I’d like to say they are very knowledgeable but that depends on who you get, as it is with most places.I would tell people to visit this store.
Best service (customer wise and cell service) of any of the major companies. A bit more expensive but worth it. Great staff here too very helpful

I sat in here for hours! For absolutely nothing! In the middle of trying to resolve my issue, trying to get a phone, the associate would walk away and go assist other customers and leave me to wait. Even though I was there first. They were clearly not too worried about me sitting in there over 2 hours with kids. I wasted gas, time, and energy. For nothing. I would have sat in there longer, if I had not just walked out. Terrible service. 100% would not recommend this place.
I have now been to the Verizon in Hammond Square a fee times and I have to say that I have had a good experience each time. All the associates are welcoming and friendly. I did not have to wait long for someone to attend to me and they have always been informative about the products and realistic when it comes to truly trying to meet your needs and not just sell you the latest, greatest and most expensive options there. Of course, they will try to sell you cases and chargers and other accessories but they are not too pushy about it. They offer, when you say thats ok or no thank you, they move on. If you are looking for a phone, accessories, need some help or tips with your device or anything to do with your service plan, you will be greeted when you walk in the door and leave happy!
Nice store and love this chill attitude, and is kinda hard getting off the interstate and these round about two times. Fun nice people.
The store seems to have had a sharp decline as of late. I remember 3 to 5 years ago, it just seemed like it was a whole different experience. From the time you stepped foot in the door to the time you left you always had someone next to you that actually cared about making a difference and providing you with a work ethic that was sinsere - Now at the Verizon Store by the mall you’d be EXTREMELY hard pressed to find an employee that was competent and friendly.Now it just seems like a bunch a young fools that don’t know MUCH about Anything The store there and the young ones that are just running it down a lot lately - Make me remember 3 to 5 years ago or whenever it opened ...it just seem like it was a whole different experience from from my recent visits ...From the time you used to step foot in the door until the time you left your always had someone next to you that worked there it was competent about every product. Now it just seems like a bunch of young fools that don’t care much about helping anyone or brushing up on their knowledge Seems to me that either learn your products OR BLOODY LEAVE!!

I have been standing in this store for 35 minutes. Seven people that came in after me have been helped and I havent even been greeted. To their credit, the employees that are with customers are giving those customers their full attention. They simply need a better intake system at the door other than assuming one of the other associates greeted someone.

I was picking up an online purchase, and that went smoothly and fine. But when I asked them to help me with something they were no use whatsoever. I basically had to say let me just leave and Ill call tech support.

I went and purchased my wife a new phone last night and there were a lot of things wrong with my experience. From the beginning, our sales rep, Lindsey, did not seem that interested in helping us. She had rolled her eyes at me when I guess I had asked too many questions, but I looked over it as it was Black Friday and I’d be tired too, so we waited to be helped and get the phone set up and all she did was ring me up and told us that all we had to do was turn the new phone on and it was good to go, this seemed suspicious, but I believed her. We left and tried setting up the new phone ourselves but Apple would not approve the new iPhone so that we could use it, so I went back and tried getting someone else to help us, they went and got Lindsey who had no clue what to do, the other sales reps verbally said they didn’t know what to do, the general manager ignored the situation in general. While trying to get things set up, Lindsey would leave us and go help other customers while we were in the middle of a sentence. I’ve never had a bad experience before and I know things just happen, we’re human, but I’d appreciate it if we were fully helped and not made to feel like we didn’t matter. The issue was never resolved and we left because Lindsey went and stayed in the back too long, so we took it to another Verizon store and got it done.
Went in about an hour before close and despite a long line the staff was very courteous and helpful

I think its sorry they cant program my new phone when Im there. I have to make appointment and come back, I live a hour from there. I dont know how to program the phone and I cant drive due to a stroke.. So how do I get my phone working
The store was nicely organized each provider was in a different section the phones was displayed where you could see them touch them and pick them up then Chloes were knowledgeable and helpful

Unfortunately this is the closest verizon store to me, so I have to deal with the constant wait every time I have a phone issue. When you walk in you’re not greeted, it’s unwelcoming, and maybe 5-10 minutes later someone pops out of the back and asks for your name to write on a piece of paper. It seems like they are understaffed and often they don’t have what you need in store. It’s a horrible experience, “we’ll be with you in a couple minutes” tends to be 25-30 minutes later and all you needed was a case or a screen protector. The staff seems to have no sense of urgency and a lack of true care for their customers.
When I walked in the place was packed. Each agent had a customer. My daughter and I told them we were looking for a flip phone, she added my name on the list. So we walked to the phone protector cases to browse. 10 minutes later we looked around and there were no customers and all of the agents standing behind the counter. So we made some noise and one guy came to help. He showed us 3 phones and stood there. We felt like criminals when we were asked for an ID. I said Really for a pre-paid phone? and we just walked out.
Salesperson made out that I had to switch to the new Verizon plan when I bought a new phone -- found out later that I could have kept my old plan but I was not given that choice at the time. Salesperson was also rude and abrupt when I tried to ask questions. To top it off, when I went back to get a screen protector, the person who applied it put a nick/scratch in my brand-new $1000 phone.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced.My advice, if these guys tell you they can do something you better get it in writing. This was my first and last experience at this location which was overall very unpleasant and extremely time consuming.

The lady at the hammond,la store was great as i bought my phone at a different place and had difficulty activating it online and on the phone.She helped me activate my phone and even get my number ported from my previous carrier (which was the main difficulty). I appreciated her time and effort beings i didnt buy anything from her Hammond,la store.

I opened a contract with Verizon through this store less than a year ago. The brand new Galaxy S7 phone stopped functioning yesterday. I took it to the store today and was informed the black screen with solid blue light meant the software had failed and the device was as good as a paper weight. Luckily, Ive been paying for the best insurance and the young lady behind the counter assured me, and provided me a receipt as proof, that I would received a replacement device tomorrow. I received an email with a tracking number only to find out the phone isnt scheduled to arrive tomorrow, but instead Monday. I called the store number, which only sends you to a call center. I explained my situation to the representative. She seemed agitated I was bringing the problem to her attention and asked why I was telling her about it when I should be calling the store. I told her I called the phone number listed on both Google and the receipt I had been given. Finally, she transferred me to the actual store. I explained my situation to the representative. He then put me on hold for 32:59 before someone picked up the phone and hung it up. I tried to call back, but now their store is closed. I depend on this phone. I have no home phone. My elderly parents now have no way to contact me. THANKS Verizon for your stellar service. I would add a photo of the receipt as proof, but Ive NO PHONE to take and upload it.

The Hammond, LA store has awesome staff that is very knowledgeable and helpful. Ive never experienced a long wait, and I was a customer for nearly a decade. Ive recently switched from Verizon though as they lack phone choices. I was interested in the Huawei Mate 10 Pro and the Samsung S8 Active which they carried neither. I was holding off because they were supposed to get the Huawei, but the deal fell through so I ended up leaving them and switching to T-Mobile.
Could not do without them . They are a blessing

Very very poor customer service from Carnette Jackson. Gave me her word while picking up my new $900.00 9S plus on her messing up my screen protector. Didnt put on acct. our conversation as she said she would, didnt replace the screen protector as she said she would. Suggested I went across the street to another company to pay $10 or send back to Jagg and pay $5 shipping. Her word worth nothing again instead of $5 shipping it was $14.99 I would have to pay for her mistake and lack of knowledge she tells customers. Customer service 101 Cornette Jackson under promise over deliver!! Acct. Open since 2010 with not one late payment and this is her Customer Service. VERY VERY PITIFUL!!!
