Found the book I was looking for recommended by a friend, A Dresden Files novel!

In all of my years of shopping here, I am still greeted with smiling faces and helpful customer service. The quality of their Joe Muggs coffee products remain up to par, and they havent dramatically increased their prices within the last 10 years, unlike the other nearby coffee chains, who I have noticed very dramatic and sudden price increases in the past 5 years.Still a great place to bring your kids to explore, and they have books that are reasonably priced for them! 💜

This store is incredible, not only do they have a very large selection of books but they also have toys, games, coffee, and lots of other products and options. We found things that a baby, child, and adult would like and it is suitable for all ages. I even found classics that my mother use to read to me when I was growing up. So excited to get the same books for my baby.

This is a great store! I love that there’s a bookstore that my 12 yr old daughter ASKS to frequent! Their selection is amazing, their coffee shop has yummy offerings... it’s an all around win!

I love books. I love coffee. Put those together; I am in heaven. I think Joe Mugs is one of the top places to get coffee. I got the affogato frappuccino - it was to die for. I am always impressed by the knowledge and hospitality of the staff. They are always ready and willing to help me find exactly what I need. Even things I didnt know I need! The store is very clean and organized. A must stop at the Hammond Square.

Clean store. Extremely helpful workers. My favorite BAM. The employees go out of their way to help you find whatever you may need. Though I will say that I find it a bit hard to find the books I was looking for. Some of their selection is oddly placed. They also lack the amount of hardcover books I prefer to see. Looking for hardcover books there is difficult. Though that have several good bundles and collectors editions.

The nicest employees working the register. I wanted a particular book, they looked it up and went and got it for me. Made the check out process so easy.

Definite place to go for books. The selection is unbelievable. Logically organized. It was clean and they kept the stacks orderly. We usually drive 30 minutes to and hour to get to the competitors. Without hesitation this will be our go-to place. Friendly folks. The coffee was great and the young lady that waited on us just cheerful, efficient, and downright nice. The store employees were great as well. We will gladly make the 1+ hour drive from now on.

Always enjoy trips to books-a-million.

I visit once a year. This year I noticed that they sell gently used books at a discounted price which is a nice feature. Always a nice selection of bargain priced books in a variety of genres, and a wide selection of topics which are easy to locate. Looking forward to returning again next year!

The selection is good but some of the displays with books seem to be biased on certain topics.

The coffee was good. Fou d the magazine I wanted no problem. The store was quite and clean.

Great selection of books and got exactly what I needed for my book club. But, I did not like the checkout process. They ask you to join their book membership club and then they try and trick you into circling 3 magazines that you would ultimately have to pay for. Its pushy and I rather buy online now to avoid the whole thing.

Its a well-organized bookstore. What more could you want? Bathroom needs renovated, its kind of run down in there, but the store is nice!

Nice store and employees

This store has a great selection of books and magazines. They also have t-shirts and collectible figures and accessories, also themed board games. The store is always neat and clean, which means that the staff is paying attention to the details. I also like the selection of beverages at the Joe Muggs coffee shop. I like the imaginative flavor combinations they come up with for their various coffee drinks. All in all it is a very pleasant place to shop for books with an atmosphere that cannot be duplicated by online book sellers.

Who doesnt like Books-A-Million? I like to wander around pick a few books I think I might like to read. Grab a cup a joe at tell mugs sit a nice comfy chair flip through the books. I love it

I come in every couple of weeks just to look around. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, what I tend to look for (ImagineFX magazines and digital arts books/mags) is a hit or miss deal. Although...if I wonder around enough I can end up finding some hidden gems that result in great reference books for concept art. I wanted to say 3.7 stars but Ill rounded it off to 4.

I went here after a death in the family looking for either a specific book (out of a list of several optics I saw were in stock online), or something in a specific genre for my child to cope/understand the loss. When I asked the associate this hello to direct me she was very kind and did see it showed the books were in stock. Unfortunately she also confirmed nothing was alphabetized or in any specific order other than generalized topic areas. No one offered to help me find the books I was looking for, and I wandered around until I just gave up and left. Not exactly a great experience, even more so under the circumstances I was under. Staff was nice at least though! Not really their fault that the company doesnt have better organization.

In the area for business...Autumn was such a delight. Friendly and a great smile. That goes a long ways. Especially in todays world. The coffee shop was great. Loved the chocolate batter frappe. Against the diet but hey a treat is good to have. Love the coffee too. Thank you.

Book selection is amazing.

Who doesnt love a great book store? I know about e-readers and ebooks. Im actually a big fan of those too. But theres something about holding a paperback novel thats relaxing, maybe nostalgic, and it never runs out of charge! Was having a little difficulty finding a specific book I was looking for and went to the clearly marked information desk. the man working there was helping another customer so I got in line to wait my turn. another employee walking past put down what she was doing to come and help me find the book I was looking for. You cant ask for better service than that!

Have always enjoyed the staff here. The GM Alana Atkins has always been knowledgeable and eager to solve all of my questions. Though no fault on the staff this mall property and its surrounding retail buildings have problems with gnats and leaking roofs of which I don’t see being repaired. This usually is a sign of poor corporate support at the local level.

Its an overall great bookstore, but their prices usually send me straight to Amazon. I usually come here to look at a book that Im interested in and to also find new interesting books then scan them with the Amazon app, its almost always cheaper, order, and be on my way. All in all this is still a great store.

Best book selection in town.

Every book imaginable and every magazine thats current. If they dont have it they can get it within a week. Theyre book clubs a little expensive but if your continuous user and buyer of books then it might be worth the benefit. Friendly courteous staff and very helpful.

The girl was snotty and they still have sign up in store that theres a whole bunch of sales when we went to checkout she said there.wasnt even though they had signs all around

LOVE the staff!! They are always so helpful & friendly. The store atmosphere is great. But today, I went in & the head guy (owner/manager/whoever) was in there & he was not a pleasant man to be around. He was speaking very loudly throughout the store which made me want to get out of there as soon as possible. I got to hear him fuss at the staff for silly things. It was just an unpleasant visit for me this time around. But the staff was still friendly even though they were being hounded the entire time I was there. (About 30 minute visit)

Great place to hang out and kill time. I rarely buy the books because I use the public library for free (my tax dollars at work free lol.)

Books a million is a great book store a lot of variety. Things from children to adult books. They have a coffee shop inside and youre allowed to sit and read the books just like a library. They have toys for kids. They have manga, art supplies, birthday cards, key chains, cooking books, and more like plushies and collectables. I bought just recently a coloring book and pig puppet for my friend for her birthday. Havent given it to her yet but the quality is great. !

So Im dropping in stores in Hammond..and I go into books a million..before I could get in the door there outside was books lowered in price.that started like $3.00 and I found myself scanning each book I liked.Once inside with 3 books.already .i left them at the front desk while I scans the store..great store very clean..books labeled just right for scanning my finds. But I couldnt find what I came for..so at the desk I asked if the book called mister..was there..couldnt remember her name..so he right away started looking it up by title..as I said I remember its by the same lady ..who wrote 50 shades of grey..we were on top of it now ..only one left it registered ..and he went to get that one for me .estatic I got that one..i paid for them 3 & that special one left ..now my mom calls ..whom the book was going to be for her. Because shes the one who requested if ever neara)bookstore thats what book to buy her..Now Im really happy I tell her I got the last one..afound a Books a million ..she said shes very proud of my find..my mom lives in Los Angeles California...she said ( is it in English? What ...what...i look in the very nice bag...and oh my God ) yes it was in Spanish ..oh no as I looked on back and in between pages. .( yes Spanish) I told the clerk..he doubled looked ..what a mistake on both our part ..he found a stack ..almost right out front...with help of a young lady clerk..working also for books a million..who new right were they were .she informed us both .it was the writers birthday last week .and the book moved forward..for the rush of sales. .people requesting the book...we exchanged the Spanish version to English...every body happy...especally my mom..once I mailed it out to her the next day....
