I just had the most surreal experience at this place.I was told that unless I was buying with the car I wanted to look that day, I could not test drive it. Excuse: winter weather, they simply cant let everyone drive the cars. Despite roads being bone dry, sun shining, and my own car being spotless from the drive, they were unwilling to let me drive a car I was interested in purchasing. This is clearly not a high volume dealer, and in the industrial park they are in you pretty much need to know that you want a car they have to show up. Wiping off a little winter muck is part of business - unless something is up with the car they dont want me to drive it really doesnt make sense to me.Here is the thing: Id called to make an appointment and had over an hour round trip. There was plenty of occasion for the salesperson prepare the car, or to tell me that is how they operate, and for me to avoid taking with an umasked person not following simple guidance and etiquette for the time I was there.Rude, disrespectful, and a waste of time: dont bother with these folks.

Chris and Phil are spectacular! My wife and I stumbled onto their website while checking out some dealerships close by. Its 5 minutes from our house and we never knew it existed. They had a variety of models we were interested in, so we stopped in to try to narrow down which we were interested in. After doing some research, we found that their vehicles are priced fairly. That took so much pressure off of finding a new car. I had never purchased a vehicle from a small dealership before, but I couldnt pass on checking out a vehicle at Right Buy Auto that met my very specific criteria. Even though this dealership is by appointment only, they seem to be very flexible with hours. I work in White Bear Lake and wasnt able to get out to Ham Lake until 6pm, but that didnt seem to be a problem. I also really like their website - great information and a lot of photos. You can tell by the vehicles listed on their website that they only sell nice vehicles too, not a few nice ones with a bunch of junkers.When my husband and I met Chris we liked him instantly. He is an honest, down to earth guy, not the typical car salesman trying to screw you over. He gave me a fair deal on my 2006 Equinox trade-in (even though it had a little body damage and needed new tires) as well as on the 2011 Traverse I purchased from him. Hands down best experience buying a car I have ever had. After talking to Phil I made the three hour drive to look at a 328i xDrive and a 335i xDrive. I really wanted the 335 but liked the wheels on the 328 better. Chris offered to swap the wheels but when he called the shop where they would get it done they were too busy. So while Phil and I started the paperwork, Chris drove to the store and bought another jack and he and Phil swapped the wheels themselves. Chris even offered to pay for the new tpms that I would need due to the wheel swap, 2016 wheels to a 2013 car. Customer service does not get better than this. I will definitely be back in a few years when I want to upgrade again.

First the sleazy sales guy who can’t make a decision without talking to his “manager” first. Then the lowball trade-in offer. Try asking for your keys back when you’re insulted by their trade-in offer and want to leave. That’s an hour you never get back. Let’s say you finally agree on a deal, time to talk to the finance guy. But before you get to the finance guy, got to talk to accessories person. He/she will tell you why you need rustproofing on a vehicle that has six years corrosion protection from the factory. You survive the accessories pitch. Time to talk to the finance guy. He’s got an agenda of his own that you get to experience. You’re exhausted and are reminded again why you hate buying a car.You have to check out Right Buy Automotive. Phil and Chris are awesome. They’re car guys and have been in the industry for lots of years. They used to work for the franchise guys. They thought there is a better way to do the car business and went out on their own. They have warranties, gap insurance and accessories too, but they’re not overbearing.We got our plates about ten days after we bought our Lexus RX-350. Enclosed was a check for $21.25 for the difference between estimated and actual cost. How about that for integrity? Can you picture the G.M at the franchise dealer keeping it to help his bottom line? Me too.Their inventory is not for everybody, they’re car guys. But if you’re into their type of vehicles, you are doing yourself a disservice by not at least checking them out and judging for yourself if they’re the kind of guys you would like to do business with. My experience at Right Buy -- from the first time I emailed about the car Id been drooling over for weeks, to my first visit and test drive, to the time I drove off the lot in my new BMW -- was truly perfect. First and foremost, the best part about this dealership is the people that run it. I had the pleasure of dealing with Phil, who was straightforward, honest, and very helpful in answering questions and guiding me through the buying process. Second, their facilities and inventory are top-notch. These guys hand pick their inventory very selectively and meticulously and every vehicle I saw was in immaculate condition (they keep most of the cars indoors). Overall, I would strongly recommend Right Buy auto to anyone in the market to buy a used BMW, Infiniti, or other hard to find luxury vehicle. Giving this place at least a visit is well worth the short drive from the Cities... if youre like me youll probably walk away with a new (used) car and a smile on your face.

The guys here were great to deal with. I picked up an Audi A6 from them which was priced well and exactly as they described it. I traded in a vehicle and was given a very fair trade value on it and they described exactly what they would have to fix and estimated costs to justify their price. Up front they told me they were not an average car dealer and I have to say they are right. I was in and out in around an hour and a half including test drive, trade in, and financing. I hope these guys continue to grow their business because theyre doing it right. Oh, and if youre looking for a BMW or Infiniti thats priced right and in perfect condition you need to check this place out. Theyve got a nice selection of really nice cars.

If you are thinking about buying a car from Right Buy Auto. Do it. Most people these days shop for a vehicle online, never knowing who they are going to be dealing with when they find the right car. I can say personally that Chris (owner) is completly on the level, knows his vehicles, and honestly cares that his customers have a great experience and want to do business with him again. Really easy purchase. Im incredibly busy, we were able to do the purchase, financing, and set up insurance in one phone call. I just showed up, signed a few papers and drove out in an almost new BMW .Go somewhere else if youre looking for a cheap beater. They only have top grade cars and they know what theyre worth. I had a strong buying experience with Chris and Right Buy Autos. That is the TL;DR version. All thumbs up.The longer version: I went to Right Buy Auto because I like their business model- late generation, higher end cars- still under warranty. I drove Lexus for the last decade and wanted an upgrade. Chris didnt have the model I was after but recommended I test drive one of his BMW 535s. I tried it and it didnt call to me. Perhaps I was too used to the Lexus feel. What makes this anecdote noteworthy in my eyes is that Chris never again mentioned or pushed me in the direction of stock he had. As the days and weeks rolled on I fully expected a sales push back to his stock- which delightfully was not the case. He let me drive the direction I wanted.Eventually, through Chris we secured a Lexus from auction across the country. Normally this is where the story would end- but in this case there was a problem. What was delivered to Chris for sale to me was not what was promised. Super anecdote #2- Right Buy Auto made it right. Chris took care of all the logistics- preventing me from stressing over a flawed vehicle. The happy ending of this long story is that the second time was the charm- landing a superb vehicle at a superb price. His relationship with a multitude of aftermarket automotive services even allowed me secure a discount on having a wrap applied.Five Stars!

The vehicle I had prior to my purchase with them needed to be retired and I had been searching for months to find the perfect vehicle (very picky!). I bought a Subaru Impreza during a snow storm. The process of buying was strait forward and easy. The car was a great deal. I got a premium for less than the price of a base model at other dealerships. The salesmen even offered to give me a ride to drop off the rental car. I was pleased with the service overall.I was a bit nervous buying from a smaller dealership. When I was thinking about it, I never go back to the dealership I bought my previous cars at for any kind of service or anything. So it was less of an issue. I have had the car a week now and it is very solid. I have not had any issues and the car was exactly as advertised. No hidden issues at this point.I would buy there again is the bottom line.***I am going to add a bit to this review because it is probably more helpful now after three years...I have not purchased two cars from Right Buy. Both cars have been free of any notable issues. The only issue I did have was on the second car I purchased from them and that was related the wireless door opener thing.. Chris ordered me a new one without hesitation so it was not really an issue. The thing to note is that they went out of their way to give me good service.When I wrote this review three years ago I had only had my car a week. Its is three years later now and I would still buy from Right Buy... I dont know that I would bother looking anywhere else..

A great place to buy a used luxury car. They are very selective about what they stock. All the cars are in fantastic condition. I bought a used Infiniti Q60 with barely any miles on it. This was the best Q I had seen after looking for months on the net and checking lots. It also had the best price for the miles. Both Chris and Matt are straight talk guys. I contacted Chris inquiring about a BMW 528xi he had listed on craigslist. I wanted to look at the car but wouldnt be able to get there until 10 minutes after their close time, Chris said that would be fine.
