I have always bring my cars here, it’s been about maybe 4 or more years and several different cars. These guys are always happy to help, never in a rush, they will charge fairly, quick service. Never have I had to go back because they messed up. Always great work. I just went to jiffy lube and the guy there said take it to brake authority, I’m like I always go there, he’s like those are my guys 🙂. If you want a job well done take your car here. All Im gonna say is that I know you lied about the price for that part. Your staff is very unprofessional. Lucky for you, we followed our gut, that told us to drive by and check on our truck that you left outside with our car keys inside your shop as the tow trucks are towing all the cars, that your staff did not label. After our first incident I knew you were bad business. One of the first things you said was to trust you. Had we stayed home that day. Our truck wouldve been gone, claiming it will take a week for the truck to be ready. I wouldnt recommend you to my worst enemy

I brought in my Buick 5 months ago because I needed front rotors and brakes. I started getting a vibration in the front and took it to the dealership, who told me that my rotors are warped and it would be $380 to recut them. I went back to Brake Authority, which quoted me $80 to recut, but instead of recutting them, they replaced the rotors for free and had it done in under an hour. The service is amazing and I will be coming here for all my vehicle needs.

Highly recommend. I will never take my car to the dealership again. Fast, efficient, courteous and very fair in pricing unlike dealerships. They also have a computer that can read every car for electrical issues which I was told by my dealership that few have when replacing my sensors. I went to brakes and authority referred by another auto shop who couldnt fix my problem. I appreciate his sincerity!Someone at brakes authority greeted me pleasantly and asked for my complaint.Surprisingly he asked to test drive the car. I said surprisingly, because 3 days ago I went for maintenance at my car dealership and I asked my representative to ask his mechanic to please test drive the car to what the mechanic said: no!So this gentleman from brakes Auth. Quickly offered to test drive and I was happy already with the service although no service had not been rendered.The guy quickly pointed at the problem and said its easy to solve.Back at shop the mechanics verified the problem, the same guy that test drove my car gave me a quote, I asked him: when can it be fixed and he said now!I was impressed by the diligence of the shop trying to help me get my car fixed and getting it ready within today. That was a plus!I appreciate the promptness in which my car was serviced. I appreciate the test driving experience and the explanation of my potential problem.I appreciate that my pet was welcome into the shop. 😊

The service was absolutely great. They were able to quickly identify the problem with my car and fix it once and for all. I have known the owner Steve for over 30 years since he started at Brake World in Miami shores on US 1 and I was in high school. I take my BMW here for maintenance and repairs. He has a great crew starting with Oscar who is the best auto tech Ive even seen. I come to this shop regularly and aside from having great prices, I feel that Oscar does the work on my car as if it were his own. The VIP treatment is always there, I never have to wait long and I always leave happy. I recommend them for any kind of work, they are A+ and just a few block away from l-95!

I stopped today at this place to ask for an oil change quote for my car. I spoke to a gentleman named Jay, who explained clear and simple what my car needs it and how much it will cost.To my surprise, I realized that for years I been paying double of what the real cost was. I am not a mechanic so I usually follow the recommendations of the service adviser. I am truly impressed with the honesty, excellent customer service, and timing of my visit. I highly recommend it, thank you very much Jay you got a new customer.

I used them for years and trusted them. They convinced me I needed a new transmission and put it in wrong. This caused more damage to my vehicle and I had an accident on the highway because of it. I will never return. Im still trying to correct years of work they did on my vehicle and felt like I almost died because of it. I dropped from 70 miles per hour to 30 on the highway when the transmission fell out. When I contacted them they made a number of excuses to why it happened. I had to replace my transmission in another town just to return home. The mechanic there informed me that it happened because it was installed wrong. Aside from that, over the next 6 months I had to get all the work redone that was done there over the course of the prior year. Each new mechanic commented about the work done on my car and how they never seen anything like it. Years later because of the transmission issues on the highway, Im still repairing the car.

I needed a 100,000 mile maintenance on my vehicle. Had gotten another estimate. These guys were great! Were very honest, showed me the parts, and only replaced what was needed, and were very reasonable. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough!

These guys are amazing. I had gone to a different place first for alignment and the other place told me I needed to replace the tie rods and had quoted me $500. I told them I was going to get a second opinion and thats what brought me to Break Authority. As soon as I got here, they immediately put my car up on the lift and showed me everything that was going on. They explained everything clearly, especially the fact that I did not need to replace my tie rods, they were in good condition.I did get my breaks replaced at a good price.I would recommend them.

I was told that my car would be ready by noon the following day, and the mechanic called at 1145am saying Im all set and ready to go. My exhaust manifold was cracked. Been going to them for the past 6 years. At 76 years of age, I need people that I can trust fixing and maintaining our 10 year old car. Steve and Oscar always adopt the attitude of family and stand behind their service and skills.

I have a story to tell to many of these reviews I see with complaints. Im a woman who is skeptical about mechanics, and so Ive leased from the day I sold my 1st used car. As many womens reviews mention lies theyve had, and how mechanics fix things that were never broken. I hear Ya!!! However, today I realized that I have to try to trust mechanics, st least Steve and Oscar... I first went to Brake Authority with a car just purchased to have a maintenance check; oil, power steering, cabin filter, all the normal wear and tear done by the expert mechanic Jay. A day after my car was losing oil, so I took it back. It was an O ring gasket which they fixed. A few days after my car was roaring inside motor which I took to Firestone to get it diagnosed, since Brake Auth. was extremely busy. They said it was the air intake hose which was torn and car not getting correct air exchange and showed me they also left the air filter box opened. I went back to Brake Auth to claim for this piece as no-one had opened this since Jay checked my clean air filter. While making my complaint with them placing blames which was going nowhere, I asked Steve calmly and teary to please just order the piece so the hose can be fixed and I would pay for it.. Gave them the benefit of a doubt, knowing the rubber had wear and tear. So the next morning Oscar and Steve placed the new air intake hose on, but before doing so, they both promised me this would not solve the noise problem Im hearing. They again and again said it was from the front wheel hub bearings. By now I had lost trust from both of them since I had to come back to get things fixed they should have noticed from the beginning. Jay should have noticed and told me about the radiator hose leaks, but I get it... They probably dont want to overwhelm customers with a list of 20 repairs needed totaling $10,000 all at once to someone who just bought lemon...in reality few people will pay that to fix their used cars. So I left after they placed intake hose, and sure enough it was roaring louder than ever. I should have gone back to brake auth and said to Steve, and Oscar, u know YOU WERE RIGHT!! however, I decided to go to the dealer to confirm what Oscar n Steve had already confirm... Theres no way I can enter your store again out of shame, and respect. I can only express my experience with them and suggest to every customers to trust them, ask questions, make sure when they tell you every repair needed you dont create a mistrust. Used cars need repairs, and its up to you to fix the dire priority. I believe Brake Authority are being honest for the most part. Theyre highly experienced mechanics. Would have given them 5 stars if they would have written a list of all the problems my car had instead of fixing as I discover them. Showing customers all the repairs needed helps them prioritize, and also plan ahead financially, and whether to sell the car...Thank you Steve and Oscar, it was the wheel bearings..

On the second day of a short stay in the area, we developed a serious brake problem. Not being familiar with the shops in the area, I did a google search and Brake Authority was one of the listings. Due to many favorable reviews, I decided to take the car there.I called first to see if they would have an opening to check the car and was assured if I was able to arrive soon they could get it in. Shortly after arrival the car was taken in the shop and I was soon shown what the problem was and what would be done to fix it. The explanation was thorough and easy to understand. In addition to the main problem, I was also shown the front brakes were in need of service and this was supported by the use of a gauge to show the amount of wear.The car was fixed in a reasonable amount of time and I had no issue with the cost for the amount of parts and work done.The thing that made a strong impression on me when deciding where to take the car was the fact that the owner responded to the reviews left. This made me feel that the customers opinion was important and a sign of a good business. I found everyone I dealt with to be friendly and pleasant and wouldnt hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone.

Awesome service JD is the guy you need to fix you vehicle. I have a Cadillac took it to get service at VERA CADILLAC only to found out my catylastic converter went out. Cadillac dealer quoted me for $2375, went to JD told him the whole problem, he quoted me for $275, he got it done in 45 minutes. Unbelievable. Dont even hesitate get your car service at JD. Good service, genuine guy, honest job. I couldnt believe it. If I had more money I woulda have gave them...

I took my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee there for the brakes to be replaced with calipers. They did great service and the mechanic was very hospitable I was out of there in about 45 minutes.

Took my Prius to change front brakes & mechanic didnt realize it was on N not in park. The car rolled and hit another car damaging my left side bumper. They took bumper and repaired/painted. But didnt put bumper properly and had to return to have them put bumper in place. FOUR trips to the shop because of their negligence!!!
