My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVE this store! I mean you seriously can get lost in the endless amounts of books that are there. Whenever we go here we literally take the whole day because we know we’re going to be here for hours and we always leave with stacks of new books!

Best used books store I have ever seen. They have two locations, each of which could stand alone as the best ever. They also have a great presence online as well! Fair prices and excellent finds await! You can spend the better part of a day at Wonder Book! Also, be sure to check out their bargain bins outside the store. Lots of affordable items! Los, books, CD, DVD, etc.

The clerk was very helpful in looking for the specific CD we were looking for and afterwards telling us where else we could look and we found it there.

I order books online from them and pick them up in store a week later, no shipping charge. The shelves are quite close together and tall, if I didnt have mobility issues it wouldnt matter, but theres so many books. No book should be tossed but instead taken here for another chance at life. And not nearly as musty or smelly as one might expect.

I buy books to learn from the beginning, a walk to walk through middle, and overall Final with big picture details. I love the staff, as good if not better than Iibrarians! I can browse for hours. I can find large print easily. They even have a selection of movies, graphics, and shows. Come to explore, but, sell your own. Come back for the sales, the quiet times, the perfect gift for your friend! Prices are absolutely incredible and fit every budget. I cant say enough good things about this place!

What a selection!I love places like this. Bookstores are great, but USED bookstores are the gems of the world. You never know what you will find! Its like searching in a pile of treasure - everything you touch has history and a story to tell, both in its pages, and on them. Brick and mortar booksellers may go the way of the dodo, but places like this will always find their spot on the map.

Used book and video stores give you the best feelings in the world. Wonder Book is full of gems - old books stacked up to the ceiling in a maze of bookshelves just give the place this awesome atmosphere. Every employee Ive interacted with has been so pleasant, and its been a perfect date spot for me and girlfriend. Definitely, highly recommend this place!!

Very disorganized. Not very clean. Cluttered. Comic books are right beside the main entry door. While looking through them I was hit by the door 4 times.

I love this place. I almost always find what Im looking for. The store is a bit like a maze, maybe a little cluttered and the books are slightly out of order. Despite this, its still really quite easy to find what youre looking for if they have it in. The employees are friendly and pretty helpful. On one visit we were looking for H.P Lovecraft, one employee let us know that they sell out very quickly but he still walked the store searching for any Lovecraft he could find, to no avail. Aside from books they sell movies, some older console games(unsure if they sell new gen console games), PC games, comics and music. They also rent movies and games. Theres not many rental places around anymore, so personally I think thats pretty awesome.The only thing making it a 4 star instead of 5 is the clutter, tripping hazards and books being a bit out of order.All in all, I do enjoy the place.

NOT the kind of place that you go if youre pressed for time; TOO much to get your hands on! If youre on a time schedule, find an aisle that youre going to look at. Big inventory, even BIGGER website selection! Never know what youll find there, but thats the joy of it all. Reminds you of the fact that books were king one time, and some of us still have a place in our hearts for them.

Called ahead to locate a college book for my daughter. Staff quickly found it and held for pick up later that day. Great price and just what we were looking for.

The Hagerstown Wonder Book is a bit smaller but nicely laid out with new arrivals prominently displayed. Vinyl lovers welcome! There is also a sizable Maryland history and lore section for those so inclined, but I am there for CDs and fiction, both of which go on a buy 2, get 1 sale periodically!

Large variety of books, music, games, and movies! Workers are friends and very helpful. Sadly if you wanna sell movies you wont get much even with them being in like new condition. When it comes to renting movies I recommend going to wondering.

Bibliophile heaven. Staff not only helpful, but gloriously infected with a love of all things book-ish, vinyl, and video. Wandering the stacks and exploring the crates promises serendipitous and eclectic discoveries. Great stuff.

Great books and cds and vinyl but always hard to find anything.

Reviewing more so on the side of video games, the stock is severely limiting. Its nice that rentals for games and movies are offered here, but the selections to buy are almost non-existent.As a multimedia store as a whole, the setup is very organic. While not as neat as a chain store by any means, the somewhat messy nature and human-curated organization and leads to some interesting findings by chance.

Love Wonder Books. They dont make stores like this anymore. You can go in there and even get that old comic book store smell like when we were kids. This store brings back so many memories from childhood. I definitely recommend to check this place out at least once if not more. Great deals on DVDs and old records. Can almost find anything from you childhood or present life.

I. Love. Wonder. Book. And. Video. I go every so often just to wander (and I normally leave with a handful). The scent of books, the eclectic collection of vintage items... It is the best place on Earth!

Wonder Book and Video is like me favorite book store to go to. Large selections in CD’s and a great selection of movies to buy or rent. Very nice horror section as well as other sections. I’m a little disappointed in the the new age section. Use to have a lot to choose from but now it’s just all astronomy. So that’s the only things I miss. Other than that it has much to choose from with books and all. I highly recommend here and the other one in Frederick.

If you bring children dont take your eyes off them. This place is huge and it is so easy for kids to disappear behind a stack. The selection is impressive and sports a huge variety of options. Certainly the best used book store in the area. Prices are high if you compare to Amazon but you need to keep in mind that here you wont pay shipping. Also, their online selection is even more impressive. They do a great job of describing the condition of the book. That is something you usually dont find on Amazon.

Wow, so many books...honestly did not know where to look...felt like a kid in a candy store!!! Prices are great on the books..i however did not give it a 5 star only because the rental price of 3.99 on new releases. You get to keep them for a few days but If you dont care about that then it is expensive. Wish they offered a cheaper overnight rate like redbox

A great place for an avid reader. You can buy all kinds of books, multiple subjects. Keep in mind ma y of the books are old and out of date.

They have a vast collection of used books in logical categories that are well defined throughout the store. I found a rare out of print book for a great price here. I would have paid $80+ more if I had bought it online.

Our go to place for books! Fantastic selection of used and new. If they dont have it at this location, they can often get it from another!

Ive been to two of their store locations and am always amazed at how much they have. They are also on line and so if youre not near a store location or you get overwhelmed by a crowded store you can get their good used books, videos, CDs, etc. that way. Oh, they even sell butter beer.😋

This is a diamond in the rough. You can find some really good books here and they do offer rentals for dvds, games and blu rays. They have quite a selection of books, both in good and poor condition depending on your preference. The prices are generally reasonable and they are constantly putting stuff outside for clearance. Give it a shot, you might find something you like or get lost for a couple hours.

This was a great find, I was able to find a few great novels to pass the time.

This store has everything media related. Everything from books to PlayStation games. They also have a movie & game rental program. You can rent for up to 7 nights. The employees are very nice, and all are knowledgeable about whatever your asking about. They arent pushy like so many places are, and the best thing they did is not treat me like I was going to steal something lol. I would definately recommend this place to anyone, and I will most certainly be back again! Happy shopping yall, and thanks for reading!!

Will never use their online services again. Didnt recieve the correct books that I ordered Called the warehouse the day I received them and a week later with my name and phone number and no one ever called me back. I even tried calling two of their stores within an hour of my house and they told me they would get ahold of the people in charge of the warehouse and have someone contact me to fix the issue. This was a month ago. This company obviously doesnt care about their customers once they recieve their books whether they are the wrong books or not. Ive been very patient waiting on a response and I just give up now.

Will never take books here again! They glance at them and throw a low ball price so bad its insulting,and feel like a,drug deal sleazy stuff. A few years ago I took ten paperbacks and got 8.00 credit..Today I two huge boxes in of good authors like Stephen King and get 14.00!....Total robbery,avoid!!!....

I must say im quite biased when it comes to this particular store, im a long time patron of wonder book and Ill continue to be. I love this place to death, as a collector of media including games, movies, books, and so on its a dream come true. Its a weekly trip for me i dont always buy something but usually i find something. I do have a few gripes however, the staff there isnt all that inviting they mainly stick to themselves or each other at the counter not a huge ordeal but i like to be social especially in smaller brick and mortar type shops and i wish they would be the same way as the staff. The other complaint is very personal and its that theyve drastically reduced their vhs and video game sections. It used to be every week id find some little gem for my collection but these days its slimmer pickings, however it is understandable. Overall this store is fantastic, the prices are great and whether youre looking for something obscure or the next big release they most likely have what youre looking for!

Awesome old school video store. A rare breed these days. Huge selection (e.g. they have almost every single Steven Seagal film ever made- should give you an idea of the depth of the selection!) and good prices. Reasonable late fee structure plus they can order items they do not have in stock. I hope they stay around forever.

This review is for the book sales of the store. I have no opinion of the video sales/rentals.The staff Ive met are fine -- no complaints.The signage is overwhelming - actually gets in the way of seeing the books. There are books all along the isles. I saw a person in a wheelchair completely unable to get around the store. Apparently the owner(s) doesnt believe the ADA applies. There are many piles (feet high) of the same book - some have been there for years. I bought one two years ago, and there are scores of the same, still -- the exact same price sticker (now faded). The prices can be pretty cheap, but this is not the best place for collectors. The inventory is incredibly picked over (although you can luck out sometimes). I have also seen several books with mold -- a great way to contaminate your collection. They have no inventory system in the store. They have a POS system and most of the books are new -- so they all have optical codes already. Go figure.You have to physically search and hope you find what youre looking for.I cant believe this place is still around. They must make money from the web sales. The online store often has the same books in the physical store for as little as a penny -- again, no in-store inventory. I assume the stores are around as a way to get collectable books from individuals. The prices you get from your books are all over the place; they dont have trained staff there all the time, so it seems.Overall, the place is mess -- poorly run. Check it out if youre in the neighborhood, but dont bother going out of your way for this place -- especially for the serious collector.

I like to buy books here. Yes they are disorganized and cluttered be prepared to spend half an hour to an hour looking for the books you want. I have found a lot of great old books that I cannot get anywhere else. And you cannot beat the price.
