In town at an Airbnb and stopped in to pick up a few items. Its a large store though I dont think its considered a Kroger Marketplace. It seems tight in this Kroger as you can barely have 2 people in an aisle at a time. Variety is limited and with COVID19 there are a lot of items out of stock. Staff didnt seem very customer focused and not very happy. Makes me miss the friendly employees back home. Prices were also slightly higher than back at home. Not overly impressed.
I deeply appreciate everyone in the pharmacy department. The years Ive been visiting this location was every professional and display gratitude every time. You guys are very important to the city and special to me.
I always shop at the Kroger’s on Stringtown Road in Grove city tonight I was looking for a certain product asking employee that was in the aisle if she knew where it was she said she did not told me to just keep looking she has no idea where it’s at and walked away I spend $300-$400 every two weeks in that store don’t know if I’ll go back shopping at Kroger‘s anymore I get to the check lane and a cart full of food and they expect you the bag at all yourself while two employees stand and talk instead of helping me bag
Very crowded. No enforcement of masks. No social distancing. Selection for food and other product was good.
I used to work for Krogers and they were always kind to me. They care about their workers and health and safety. Please wear a mask when you go into the store. This is for everyones safety and they are working hard to keep supply chains moving and food delivered to the stores. Please show respect. Always been kind to me and my family.
Very dirty store. Terrible parking and plenty of empty shelves. Worth a trip to travel to the one on london-groveport road
I know its 2021 but only one register that takes cash.... Im not going back.
Horrible horrible customer service! Tag on the item says one price and the register says another. The helpful associate cant do anything about it even though I bring it to her attention she not once offers to get a manage to help. I dont understand how a company can rob a person of hard earned money and think its ok. Hopefully they will address the situation after this review, since they dont want to acknowledge the review I gave on their website.
My daughter received a case of Huggies diapers from a baby shower that not only has a Kroger security strip but a thank you for buy from Kroger sticker.Unfortunately my granddaughter is super sensitive & unable to wear Huggies so I tried to take back.I was informed no return, no store credit or exchange. No receipt, no service! So it has a Kroger security strip & a thank you for buying from Kroger sticker & that’s not good enough. That Kroger’s is B.S.
It’s fine
So aparently a best by date and expiration dates are NOT the same thing to the folks at this kroger location. I was food shopping here last night and noticed some unique yogurt flavors that were on closeout. When i picked them up to get some, the date on the bottom said best by 7/7/20…To me thats EXPIRED. I called up front and informed customer svc who said they would send someone back Several minutes later no one showed to check so when I seen the guy stocking juice, I asked if he also did the yogurts When I told him about the 20+ containers with such old dates, he picked one up, flipped it over to see the date and promptly informed me Oh thats not expired, its just best by that date. So... apparently it could sit there forever and never be expired, it would just be best by the printed date. Following that train of thought, milk also says best by such and such date, so if its 2 months past the date is it still good too? Come on krogers I expect way better. Maybe I should just shop walmart instead if this is the standards of quality you follow. I called their corporate office and the lady that I spoke with was appalled.
Every single time I have bought rolls of pork sausage from the meat department they have been rancid. Obviously proper refrigeration is a problem with this location. Also the simple truth brand of sausage links and patties rarely ever have a sell by or expiration date on them resulting in more rancid meat being sold. I’ve wasted probably $40 in the last year in just sausage buying their products.
Every time I go here I end up with product thats not even near expiration dates but there products are stale when we go to prepare the food...like there Kroger rolls! Expiration date 2 weeks good but get home and they have mold on them! Unacceptable especially feeding my 6 year old from here but not no more! Yall lost a decade old loyal customer this store has gotten worse and worse and Im finally shopping elsewhere!
Hate the pop parking but love the store
Generally they have everything you need in stock. The reason I rated it four stars is simply because of the organization of the store. Some of the sections are just haphazardly put together for instance you have three different areas of the store but you have to go to to find health and beauty items. They definitely need to update the store layout
This is the worst Kroger Ive ever been to. A lot of the shelves were empty, and a swear just about every isle I went into there was an employee in the way with those pick up order carts. The employees wouldnt move or anything. I had to wait till they would eventually move. Then on top of it all, when I went to check out they only has 2 lanes open and each lane had a line with 4 or 5 people. I spent 30 to 45mins just waiting to check out. I couldnt figure out why it was taking so long until it was my turn. The cashier and the bagger were too busy having their own conversation then actually doing their jobs. The whole time I was getting rang out they stayed in their conversation never asked or talked to me, even though Im the customer. I will never go back to this Kroger.
I use to like this Kroger but right now it is 5:45pm and there are 9 people with carts FULL of food lined up at the only register open. The people do not want to self scan carts full of food. I’m going elsewhere like Whole Foods and Aldi from now on. It will be a little more money but at least I’ll be able to get in and out faster.
Diane (Pharmacy) is a real asset. She always happy to help. She is real pleasant to be around. She takes care of your Parmacy needs. At the same time, she wants to get to know you.
Great Kroger to go to! Very friendly staff. Both Jeffs that work there are the nicest people you could meet. They always say hi with smiles on there face and make it feel like a little home town grocery store. Thanks!
Prices and availability are fine. Other shoppers, not so much. I could jog through and grab my stuff in
Was astounded with the size of this Kroger. Ive always been to Krogers that were grocery-only stores. This one is a full general store. It was well organized and clean.
Always clean, can find what Im looking for remodel made it easier to find what you need. New cheese counter love all the choices, produce has gotten much better, more to choose from than Giant Eagle. Cashiers even know me by name!
The newly renovated store is wonderful!!!! So clean and fully stocked. Everyone smiling while they working and so helpful. I went inside and did a clicklist. This was a very good experience!!
They canceled our pickup order 1 hour before pickup without any call or notification. We luckily look on the app and see it is suddenly canceled. Thanks for letting us know after 2 days just 1 hour before that we cannot get groceries.
Not sure what is up with this location. Its the closest store to my home, so I shop here often. Food in produce is often rotten and expired food left on shelves for sometimes weeks. If you have the time or ability, shop somewhere else. The kicker this last trip was the terrible customer service I recieved at checkout. I bagged most of my food, while the cashier just stood there. A bagger came, but then walked away without finishing the task. The woman I asked to help bag, was rude and didnt acknowledge me. Horrible experience. I do not work at Kroger, why am I doing the employees job??
First of the reason for 2 stars. Parking is terrible! On most days you are lucky to find a spot.Inside the store the selection and quality of products is good.
Deli dept. was very helpful in finding ads that I didnt receive on the app. Allowing to sample certain meats. Very impressive
I personally believe that this Kroger is the best in central ohio. Keep up the good work!
The Pharmacy is so slow. Dr. Called in prescription. I gave it :45 min and gave them a call and they hadnt even started on it. They said give them :30 minutes so I went there :55 minutes later and they said it still isnt done and asked for another :10. How hard is it to count out a few pills and give good estimate of time.
Check every single item for the expiration date. Chances are anything youre buying here is close to expiration or well past. I have no idea why this is such an issue, same goes for produce, often smells like its nearly expired Somewhere in the pile of food. Also, customer service is getting very bad here. Sad.Edit: Closes early without warning ⚠️
Been shopping here for years but its its getting worse and worse, alot of items I usually buy are always out of stock and they change the isles every other day. Giant eagle is looking good
A nice store. The employees are helpful and friendly. The negative is that they are usually out of the sale items.
The sushi guy does a really good job. Hes super polite and made rolls to order. He gets 5 stars
This is the closest Kroger to my house. I try to avoid going there. Getting into and out of the store is usually a life and death adventure. Too many people and not enough options in and out due to intersection. The front of the store has WAY to many people interacting with cars. I swear they move things around every week. I buy about the same stuff on every visit, but it is always somewhere new. The staff at the pharmacy is absolutely overwhelmed, usually panicked, and always slow.
Excellent customer service. Employees are quick to say hello no matter what their task. Its very much appreciated!
Denied buying my cigarettes, despite being of age and providing a valid state ID, simply because it was the temporary paper copy issued by the BMV while you wait for them to mail the license. Rude girl in the fuel center. Funny, the UDF right up the street had no issues with the ID. I guess Ill spend my money there, instead.
A second shift supervisor that has worked his way up from a cashier made fun of my son on 2 separate occasions and has always been snotty towards both my boys when our food allergy is disclosed. The manager said it wasnt his problem. S. High Kroger is always courteous and playful.
Helpful staff! Clean store... fresh produce (green tomatoes included) ... great choice of butcher cuts! Limited parking ...
Rampant discrimination, to the point where a manager who took issue with me followed me secretly hiding around corners on her cell phone to the police to have me arrested. Grove City police who are also bigots were more than happy to grant her request.Grocery shopping and the purchase of lemonade isnt something I expected to go to jail for. Also, I bent over backwards to not blame Kroger but rather the manager working there, but the higher ups backed this manager throwing a loyal customer for many years under the bus.I would like to see them (Kroger) go out of business and a few smaller grocery chains take their place. Just more options, more choices. But that is up to you, those who have to decide if or not to keep shopping there after reading this.
Called to ask if they had an item in stock, waited 10 minutes on hold because the person I was going to be redirected to wasnt in. Then got redirected to someone else, couldnt understand what they were saying, then got handed to someone else who mocked me for saying umm in my confusion. 2 stars because the customer service rep who first answered the call was nice.
This kroger is great. I have shopped here for more than 15 yrs. The remodel is nice.
Everyone will go way above and beyond to help you in every way. Justin, Liz, Hope, Jeff (both of them)Gage(meat dept), Solange (pharmacy) and others I can’t name. THANK YOU ALL
This Kroger is the closest to my house and I have lived in Grove City for about 3 years now. I dont mind having to bag my own groceries but when I go to this store I have to either bag all of my items or over half of them. If I try to help the cashier bag when I have a lot of items and they are extremely busy, the cashiers always just stop bagging my items and just let me finish. I have stopped coming to this location because its just too stressful to have to deal with the bagging of groceries and the construction and the parking. I went there this morning in hopes that maybe its better since the remodel. Not a chance. Bagged every item I bought and the woman didnt bag an item. One lane open to checkout. If they want to have customers bag their own groceries Everytime then they need to invest in more self checkouts with more room to hold your purchased items. I will continue to go to Meijer or Kroger on 665.
Workforce there is great, looks like a lot of teamwork. Check out lines are pretty fast and they open more depending on how many people are waiting. Store could be clean up a bit and carts maintained.
Had everything I needed this trip.
Self checkout super-sucks, but its still the best store in Grove City. I wont shop at Walmart or Giant Eagle, given an alternative.Wondering why Krogers doesnt carry the large Iams cat food bags, coconut iced white cake and Boston cream pies in the deli, or The Egg and sausage pancake sandwiches by Jimmy Dean anymore.
I always love shopping at Kroger stores because I always seeing my good friends around there thats why I love going down to the store on the time now on is Krogers its the name.
The store is very clean. There are usually employees to help find something if you are lost. They are all helpful and courteous.
I absolutely love my local Krogers in Grovecity, OH but I cannot stand those self check out machines!! They are super slow and cause employees to lose their jobs. Just something to think about.. Other then that my trips are always great.
Kroger is my favorite store, people are nice and helpful. Its always a pleasure to go there, good place to shop.
Nice n helpful
It is very busy but the employees are always very helpful. Their prices are reasonable too.
They were handing out free food today, sitting here enjoying my shrimp cocktail as we speak
This Kroger goes above and beyond to assist you! I have never been to a grocer so accommodating! If they dont have an item, they will do all in their power to rectify the issue. Best Kroger ever!!
Very clean, Easy, simple better yet its local & New renovations are looking great I hope they add a liquor department .
Reasonably priced compared to other grocery chains
It was great, but they didnt have my Anis oil for my cookies that Im making this weekend, other than that they had my medication ready for me. Have fun finding what you need at Krogers ok..👍🙄⛄🏈🏀🎄
Ever since they redid the format of the store its getting harder and harder to get a checker. I end up using the U-scan more which I hate. Also, I didnt see a drop in prices since the new format started. Im bagging my groceries and checking myself out so where did they pass those savings onto the customer? Also, the store used to have much better Mark downs now those are very infrequent. Also, the parking lot was already small and with the elimination of the spots due to Clicklist this means during busy times that people end up parking all the way to both sides and even into the banks parking lot.The store looks better but the shopping experience is terrible now.
Going early in the morning guarantees that you will NOT have any cashiers. However, you WILL have at least one watchdog standing over you as you check out and bag your own items.
Ive been a loyal Kroger customer my entire life. I recently moved to Grove City and in the 3 months Ive been here Ive had nothing but problems. They frequently are out of products with tons of holes in the shelves. Their selection is dismal compared to other stores. The cashiers always look like they hate being there. Every time I ask for help loading heavy things into my car (Im disabled) they fight with each other, in front of me, over who is going to do it.But the biggest issue I have is their pharmacy. Ive been using their pharmacies exclusively for 6 years and Im now switching my prescriptions to another pharmacy. The pharmacists never smile or interact with you. The technicians are obviously poorly trained. I order my stomach medicine 4 days in advance and they still wont have the full script when I get there. My doctors send in scripts and when I go to pick them up they are like, Oh you wanted that today? Ive been to the pharmacy 4 times since Friday trying to get all of my medicine. My last pharmacist knew me by name and knew all of my Dxs and Rxs. She called me when I was sick to check on me and this pharmacist wont even smile at me or talk to me. I complained about this yesterday on social media and 2 of my 3 friends who live here told me theyve had the same issues.
Very well stocked location with attentive & courteous associates! Caution though: some items might be more pricey than at other locations.
As usual. Items in aisleways. Blocking shoppers paths. Items out of stock. Parking lot is a mess and couldnt find spot to park! For Petes Sake move your store to Kmart lot and tear it down before Menards buys that real estate. I will say checkout was fast and efficient.
Always friendly and make sure u have a fast checkout.
Clean! Great service! Good selection! Always able to find everything I need. Except bulk products.
Wonderful place to shop. They have the inner duced a new Bagon go scanning system. They have ample self checkout aisles
I love my Kroger. Produce is always excellent, the staff is always friendly and seem to enjoy working there, and its quiet and peaceful. Oh, and probably most importantly, its clean!
Didnt feel place was run well. big heavy girl cleaning restrooms not cleaning, they were smelly.
Stringtown Kroger Is AwesomeGreat Set UpFood SelectionsHome DecorAnd Awesome Beer Wine SectionAnd Awesome Cheese Shop Deli BakeryPizza ShopStarbucksBIG SHOUT OUT TOTHE AWESOME ERICA TALMADGEMakes Awesome PizzasAnd Her Starbucks SjkillsAre ABOVE THE REST!!Thanks For The Awespme Update!
I would give this store 5 stars if the parking lot was larger
I feel like this isles are TOO small & narrow
I love the Stringtown store...people are wonderful there.
Love Kroger. Personnel on Stringtown are very helpful, friendly, and professional.
They had good sale items,The woman at the checkout was very courteous; shoppers were polite. I was visiting from Florida, it was a very pleasant experience.
I love the Krogers on Stringtown rd. In Grove city. Very very nice employees.
Great prices and service
Always a great place to shop! Great products and super prices!
I used to love how Krogers stores were laid out I could walk in go right to the organic produce section and then go right to the healthy food section and not have to even go in the rest of the store now they split it all up and its all throughout the store so now Im lost and I cant find all the stuff that I used to love I heard they did this to help out with the clicklist that they have going on but that doesnt help their normal customers. I think I will shop more at Meijer and at Aldis instead.
I have been shopping here for years, I am a night shifter so I will often go at off hours, really early before crowd gets there. I had a recent encounter where I took a pic of an item to ask a friend if it was the item we had discussed in past, I continued to look at the nearby items as I waited on reply, immediately they called a code over head at my section, immediately some guy comes running over as if I was stealing! They treated me like a criminal! I spend so much of my hard earned money in that store the night clerks know me because I shop here so much! I was appalled at their response to me. I have not a reason to steal! I left that place in disgust! They should really watch how they treat their customers!
I love Kroger because its always have low price if you got to go shopping go to Kroger they are nice they help you with anything you need Kroger will Hook you u😂😄
Love large section of store brand items
Very warm and clean feel inside. Nice store
Worst Kroger EVER!! Workers are rude and not helpful at all!! 5pm and 2 regular lanes open, rest is self check out!!
Its a Kroger. Has a Starbucks in it. Fresh produce.
Friendly Staff, Clean Store, Great Deals, And Fuel Points
Great employees even got a picture of this guy
Great grocery store. Only wish they had a liquor store inside. For that you will need to go across the street.
Lve this store, and even better it has click list!!!Ok thanks
It helps people find their family some food and what they like
The store is a lot nicer since the remodel. The parking lot is a trainwreck, and removing several spots for their clicklist promotion doesnt help.
Was great and employees went out of their way to help me. Hats off to Taylor
I think this is the smallest Kroger within 100 miles, parking lot is always, and I mean always at capacity even during off hours. Registers always seem unoccupied, and you typically have to use self checkout, which wouldnt be an issue if you didnt have to stand in a checkout line for 20 minutes.
This Kroger is horrible!! They never have anything that I need, Everything is I’m really weird places, People that shop here are Extremely rude. I ALWAYS Have to bag my own groceries. Most grocery stores stock their shelves either overnight or early in the morning and I always see them do it in the middle of the day and take over Every single isle. The parking lot is nothing but a big fat joke, Consider yourself lucky if you find a parking spot no matter what time of the day it is. I live 2 miles north of this location and I would much rather go 15 minutes to the one on 65 or the one on Georgesville before ever step foot into this location. I mean it’s every bit as bad as the one on Eakin Road!
This Krogers has been going downhill for the last six months. I buy natural and organic products, so I am at the store once or twice a day. Seems like nothing is ever in stock or the shelves don’t even have price tags for the items. Whenever you Ask a manager they play dumb and try to blame someone else. I called customer service and they do the same thing. I have done my part and have let the store know my issues and they refused to fix them. meijer and Giant Eagle will be my new go to. Also talking to the assistant manager is like talking to a robot. Never apologizes and acts like your bothering him.
This is a pretty good store with plenty of organic food options. The staff is nice and the storefront is kept up well.
Always clean. The additional self check out terminals make it a breeze to get in and out.
Great store with awesome staff. A totally different world from the Giant Eagle across the way. Parking lot is ridiculously poorly thought out.
Not a bad location, a bit older than surrounding Krogers but the staff is helpful and the selection is good despite being a smaller store than surrounding locations.
This place is a good place to pick something up last minute
