Absolute best customer service. I was in need of a suit for my fathers funeral, yet it was only two days away. I thought it was a long shot, but I was wrong. Chip helped to get a suit that looked and fit great. He had it tailored and pressed ready to go the next day. Brandon, Conner and Chip all do an excellent job, best customer service you will find!

I had the pleasure of dealing with Conner when getting fitted for my new suit. He was very helpful and gave some great tips for wearing my suit and how to wear it, which I was unaware of. Needless to the say the suit is a perfect fit and I am very satisfied with their customer service!

I live in Vermont, work in Boston, travel to Asheville for additional work, and still wait until I visit upstate SC to buy my business and dress clothes, so that I can shop at Smith and James. The expertise and personal attention are unmatched. The service and quality that Smith and James would not be found at another store unless you were paying double the price. Since I travel quite a bit, I have had multiple orders mailed to me in VT and everything has always arrived expeditiously and exactly when I needed it. I sincerely recommend Smith and James to anyone looking to buy high quality clothes and wants an experience vastly beyond what any big box or chain store can offer.

We moved to Greer Four years ago from New England. Within two weeks we had visited Smith and James (to purchase our had to have pinstripe searsucker suit) and have been regular customers ever since. Love the personal service and really helpful staff!

I HAVE NO experience with the custom tailoring or clothier services here, however I have purchased off the rack. The customer service is second to none. You are greeted upon your arrival by a friendly staff member who is on top of their clothing game. Additionally they are knowledgeable about all of their products, and know what to ask in order to help you figure out what you need. I was there to buy a shirt in an emergency after ruining the one I was wearing before a meeting. I am a bigger guy so was skeptical they would be able to help, but they were. Prices are what they are for a custom mens clothing store so dont be shocked to see a $100 price tag on a shirt. Overall, excellent customer service and products geared towards men.

Im beginning to think tailoring is yet another dying trade (much like barber shops and shoe repair shops) for lack of skilled tradesmen. Smith & James is all smoke and mirrors, a facade. They do well at cultivating the bespoke and old fashioned artisan atmosphere, but theres no one behind the proverbial curtain.They tailored - or attempted to tailor - three pairs of pants and a modest sport coat. Nothing fancy. Nothing difficult. Not only did they lose my clothing with absolutely no record of it for three and a half days, they still charged me for three brand new pairs of high waters. At least everyone can enjoy my stylish socks now. Dont waste your time or your hard-earned money.
