Buyer Beware: Baccarat does not return items purchased as a gift, which are not right for the recipient; only store credit. This would be acceptable as a policy, although questionable, if the buyer is informed at the time of purchase. This was not my experience and I suspect other buyers are similarly entrapped. When this was stated, I was told, “it’s on the receipt.” Of course, the receipt is given only after purchase when it’s too late. Is this the new French way of doing business? I never experienced this in London or Paris Baccarat stores where numerous business gifts were purchased. I can guarantee this is the last time I buy from Baccarat…except to use up the credit I now have to carry!!
It was a pleasure working with Lorraine. Her professionalism and service was exceptional. I am looking forward to returning to the store.
Excellent service. Lorraine was very professional and friendly. It was a pleasure working with her.
We felt such ugliness and tension from the employee. When a familiar face entered the store they were received with hospitality. It was offensive.
After purchasing a piece of jewelry, they never asked me my name, never asked if they should wrap it for a gift and finally placed my purchase in a plain white paper bag instead of baccarat one... Are you serious?! As we know part of why we pay extra money is not just quality of the product, but quality of the service. Quality of the service has to match the product, not just look pretty themselves... They need to cater and SERVE the customer... They make no effort... Just want a sale...
Horrible customer service. I fire my employees on the spot if they talk to customers like that. Go else where if you need to to buy a present. Not this store. There are so many stores on Greenwich Avenue with fantastic customer service, selling beautiful glass vases. Some have Baccarat as well. I will never ever walk into that store and subject myself to rudeness of the Baccarat sales people. I do not recommend this store to anyone. STAY AWAY!
