They took my $45 up front for the part they ordered, For my chainsaw. And after 3 months of me calling Them on wanting to know if my chainsaw was fixed, I went by there and realize they had moved or gone out of business And took everything with them.

Total Lawnmower Care picked my mower up as planned. They fixed it in 2 days. And delivered it back to me as planned. Very nice and charge was reasonable.

I took my push mower there two times to fix it. The first time, it worked for about 5 minutes. Then, it started acting up again. I called them to tell them they didn’t fix it. The owner told me to bring it back, and they would take care of it. Well, he tried to charge me again the second time. It all seemed very shady in my opinion. Also, when I got it home, it worked for maybe a minute. Now, it won’t even start. I was never able to use it to mow my yard again after they touched it. I’m trying to find a place that will at least recycle it for me. Also, I know my neighbors were charged a lot by them. They were completely blindsided by the cost. I don’t know how these people stay in business. I spent money to repair my mower, and I’m going to have to buy a new one. If they are your only option for a repair, just go ahead and buy a new mower. Otherwise, you will waste money to NOT fix it. Then, you’ll have to buy a new mower or find another place to fix it anyway. I wish I had read the bad reviews before I took my mower there. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

I have been going to Total Lawnmower repair for years, and have always been treated well. My mowers have been kept running year after year. I recommend this place.

I took my mower (that they had previously fixed for 500 dollars 4 months before) to their shop because it had problems again. I thought it was a different issue this time and that is why I brought it back. I left it and after 8 weeks and they still did not make any repairs on it. I did not complain since it was during Covid. They called me after 8 weeks and said I needed a new battery, to which I reminded them that the battery was replaced by them and under warranty by their shop from the previous time. They said they would replace it and get back to me on it. 2 weeks later I was called that my mower was the third in line and would be worked on that day or the next. I called the next day and my mower had been moved to 5th in line that day! This means they have customers that they know and favour, while the rest of us are second rate customers. This is why you have a discrepancy with the ratings. Since I am not one of the first rate customers, I will take my business where ALL customers are treated with the same level of respect.

Ive been taking my lawn equipment here for 25 years. Its the best place to take your lawn equipment to in Eastern North Carolina. Staff is great and Henry is the kindest person. You cant go wrong!!!!!

Very unprofessional, unreliable and unorganized. NEVER would I do any business with them again. I brought in a craftsman weed eater that would start. I was still under warranty. They had it for 3 days. I called on the 3rd day to ask about it. They told me that they had ordered the part that they needed. I asked what was wrong with it. They said that they were going to have Henry call me back. Didnt hear back for 4 hours, so I called them back. And again they said that they ordered a part for it. Again I ask what it was wrong with it and they put me on hold. Someone picked up the phone and asked for all of my information that I had given them when I dropped it off. I asked why did they need it again and they said they cant find my work order. They said that they were going to have someone look at it. Im no sure how they had ordered the part if no one had looked at it? So they lost my paperwork. I called them back 3 hours later. Before they closed. They still hadnt looked at it. I called them back the next day in the morning. They tell me that they need a $45 deposit so they can take it apart to look at. So I told them to wait, because I was going to contact Sears. I went to pick it up, because Sears was going to replace it for me. I arrived and again they had misplaced my paperwork. It took them over 5 minutes to find my paperwork and another 5 to find my weed eater. Henry walks out of the backroom with my weed eater and another gentleman right behind him with a box. The weed eater had be taken apart. Half of it was in the box the other person brought out. Henry said that he could have someone put it back together if I paid him the $45. I guess since sears was going to replace it. Instead of them fixing it. I never told him to take apart. He told me on the phone that they needed $45 first.

Not a good experience.. I brought a lawnmower in for warranty work. Turns out that the mower was not covered. Instead of advising me of the situation, or even telling me what was wrong with the mower, they ordered parts and made the repairs. They called when done and charged me $150... Had they advised of the warranty situation and how much it would cost to repair, I might have something different. Too bad that option was taken away from me.I paid for the repairs, but feel I was not treated fairly. I wont trust this place again.

Henry and Griff know their stuff. I was schooled on why its best to buy commercial grade motorized tools by Echo. I have been burned by Poulan (yard tools) and theres a reason why they sell for about half of what the Echo brand costs.Due to the time of year and my needs for a trimmer/edger I will probably delay buying until the Spring of 2014. My ranking is based on the excellent customer service and I anticipate giving these folks my business going forward.

BEWARE! Dont fall for the fake 5 star reviews.Absolutely horrible customer service! Ive had 2 experiences with them and this second time is the last. First time I told them the hydrostatic drive had a leak and the mower keeps trying to stall when you engage the PTO. Henry calls me and tells me that they are ordering parts for my mower. Then i get a call 2 days later saying they cant find the leak, the PTO and mower is fine. Just to keep driving it till it breaks, then theyll fix it. Then im told that my mower will be delivered on a Friday. By Tuesday morning the following week I call them to find out where my mower is. The lady says: Your mower had already been delivered to you. Ummmm, no it hasnt. She says: well it says its been delivered. I said: Well I dont have my mower. She sounded worried and said: Ill have to call you back. She calls me back later and says that they have it and will deliver that afternoon. I said: Ok, i wont be home though. She says they will put the mower behind my fence in my back yard. I was fine with that. I come home that afternoon to find my mower sitting in the middle of my driveway with the key in the ignition. I was extremely mad about this. All they said was sorry. Not only was my mower not fixed. I now have an issue with the safety switch in the seat where they didnt put it back in right, so when I mow ik reverse, it cuts out and the mower stalls. Fast forward to last week. I put in a claim for my PTO again. The mower is now bogging down worse than before while engaged and trying to stall. Warranty department said I will be contacted shortly by Total lawn care. 5 days later I call them. I said I was calling about a warranty claim. Im immediately given to Henry. He starts talking for almost 3 minutes straight about how theyre working on my mower and that theyre having problems with my warranty company and that its been a crazy summer. After rambling for a long time I finally get to talk. My response is: You dont even have my mower yet. He says: what? I said: you dont even have my mower yet, i was calling to find out when you guys were going to come get it. He says: Oh yeah, no problem. Well get it before noon tomorrow. I tell him it will be waiting behind my fence gate. He says no problem. At 1:30 today my mower is still sitting there. I call my warranty company and ask for another service center. Theyre finding me one now. I call Total lawn care and spoke to some guy. I told him I had a bad first experience and about this experience and not to com get my mower, that I will be taking it somewhere else. His response is: Thats fine, good luck, have a good day. And hangs up.Herny likes to talk but not listen. He boasts about the fact that they handle all of Walmart, lowes, and tractor supplies claims locally. I find his service and company a very incompetent and unfriendly, arrogant, and unknowable place. If it wasnt for the warranty I would have listened to the reviews and never taken my mower there. And I will never again.

When we decided to buy a mower I wanted to buy local. We have had nothing but trouble and dissapointment since the day we walked in the store. We were sold a lawnmower that we thought was new but once we got home we realized had several hours on it. We have had to take out mower back for service issues and each time was kept for a while and told nothing was wrong and that there was to much oil in it. There is a fill line for a reason, to fill it too. We were told if we crank it in high gear that was best. After talking to Kawasaki Motors and Big Dog Dealer we were told that is not recommended. Each time my fiance goes in or called Henry acts like he does not want to deal with him. He asked for prices on blades and never received them. I called and asked and was told he would have to call me back. It is not easy to communicate with them about anything. I have felt like an inconvience everytime I have dealt with them. We have found another dealership that has honored our warrenty.

I took a Stihl chainsaw in for repair. They told me it was not repairable. I told them to toss it. Thought about and went back the next day to get it. Took it to someone else and they had it running the next day.
