Im a wife of a musician...I do not fluently speak music. However, for Fathers Day, I wanted to get my husband a few things. Even with the kids trucking behind me I felt welcome and all the associates were very helpful. I set up an account, for future surprises for the Hubby. We found some pretty neat Fender guitar picks! I will definitely be back. They have a nice selection of used items and new. The 24 month warranty I paid for ( for a keyboard pedal was very inexpensive) From keyboards, to drums, guitars and all the accessories needed in between...I cant think of another place other than Guitar Center for all your music needs.

I really appreciate the helpful and friendly staff. Most of the staff seemed very knowledgeable about the musical instruments and sound equipment. Theres a great selection and most everything is reasonably priced. You have an opportunity to try out the instruments without a lot of pressure to buy. I will definitely be going back and I recommend this place to anyone who has any interest in quality musical and sound equipment.

Friendly staff and good selection of guitars, both electric and acoustic. They do not have as many drums as they use too and their bass selection is a little sparse, but they likely have what you need from a music store. They offer financing for even smaller purchases (starter sets for less than $350). By far the best physical location of music store in the area.

I selected a guitar and had it in my cart.i decided to pay for it the next day. When I came back to it the next day it was gone. This really angered me because l cant get it back. They ought to at least give you 24 hrs to pay for it. When I asked them about it they said that it probably is removed in about an hour. I asked if they had that posted. I didnt see it. If you are going to remove it in an hour they should let you know. I am not a happy customer at this time. The guitar I wanted is rarely rare. I mean I had it in my cart. I figured it would be there and it should have been. I dont know if I can continue to do business with a company that does that. Ive been a loyal customer up untill now. I think I might have to look elsewhere for my guitar needs.I am just really mad and disappointed 😞. I hope you have better luck

I ordered this Fender Strat online and picked it up at my local store. The staff was great and helped me get all the accessories I needed. The store manager thanked me for my business and said if I ever needed anything to contact him personally. These guys are great and I will be getting everything I need from this local store going forward!

This store is a huge mess, especially the live sound department. Equiptment looks as it was just tossed back there. Ive been into this store 2 times in the last 2 weeks, ready to buy. No one will even acknowledge that Im in the store. Not a family friendly place for sure. The last time I was in I was so disgusted to see people making out(serious PDA) in the piano section. Ill never go back to this store again. Ill make the trip to the next closest store,, Spartanburg. Hope its better.

Guitar Center has great customer service I sold a bongo drum there and I received the best customer service possible the lady went out of her way to try and help me figure out exactly which one it was it was an older bongo drum that it was no longer made which you have to have a serial number in order to sell it to Guitar Center and the one that was on my drum at fade it out she was able to help us figure this out and I was able to make the sell I plan on using this Guitar Center in the future for making purchases and possibly selling some more of my old equipment I will be traveling here within the next few weeks to purchase some DJ equipment I will at that time giving update

What a great experience! We came in to buy a starter guitar and were immediately impressed by the selection, helpful staff, and reasonable prices. We were helped by Jim who was amazing. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.He made my son and I feel so comfortable. We felt like old friends by the time we left. Highly recommended and talk to Jim. You wont be disappointed!

Im a beginner - looking for a banjo to get started. I called and talked to Joanie, very nice and followed up with a visit to the store. Joanie and staff are excellent with a vast knowlege of the instruments. She helped be get settled on a banjo and accessories. Ordered the equipment. While I was there I looked at starter keyboards for my grandson to use in piano lessons. Again, very knowlegable and helpful making a selection. I will be making return visits for sure. Their prices are as good or better than anywhere else, including on-line. Lots of value added with the staff there to help.

Read before thinking. I got my first electric guitar when I turned 15. I got it from here and it seemed nice and stuff. I went there for years only to understand that the sales system is NOT right. When i obtained my fist electric, I realized one of the parts on the Floyd Rose Tremelo was chipped! Yes I know about used Guitars being on the wall, however after further analysis, I found that a guitar I bought not too long ago retails for 149.99, a Jackson Dinky Minion. I found that the truss rod was reamed out. in picture. I looked up the price on Sweetwater.com and it is new for that price. Guitar Center keeps their new stock in the back because I bought one AFTER asking for it. The company is shady. Please save for an ACTUAL new guitar somewhere else. By the way, the used guitars are priced really close or is priced exact MSRP.

This store has always been known for poor customer service, but they have managed to drop to “no” customer service now. Ive tried for an hour, with 3 calls, just to see if they had a amp in stock for me to buy, website didnt say. Im sure sweetwater will appreciate the business. It sucks when you cant do business with the store in your area.

I went there to buy a microphone and a stand, with I did I got home and y son was sitting it up and he informed me that the microphone didnt have a cord. I called the store and the guy told me that none of the microphone come with cords. I live in another county, so I had to drive back u three to get the cord. I feel like the guy who sold me the items should have told me I needed a cord, which would have saved me a trip back. Ive been going to guitar center for all of my music needs,and they have always been on point,but this time they fell short. He should have used suggestive sales.

I was not impressed. We tried to buy a keyboard and waited 45 minutes due to it being understaffed. Then they guided us with buying a keyboard and we paid for it upfront with the delivery supposedly being only a few days. 2 weeks later we call about the keyboard and they said it was actually out of stock even when we bought it. They never let us know and it was only with us calling to ask about it did they realize something had happened. Been there a few times since then and they are always understaffed and not very helpful. Will not be returning.

The young man and female manager on duty tonight flat out refused to price match todays musicians friend deal of the day on a martin 000 x1ae. This is not my first poor experience with them but by far the most frustrating as every item in the store advertises a full price match guarantee. Their response was pretty much not my problem Ive spent thousands at this store since I stood in line on opening day in 2005. I will never spend another dollar with either company. If you have had the same experience as me definitely check out sweetwater music they are head and shoulders above gc in customer service.

Went in to see if I could get an estimate on a guitar and the lady took the customer behind us in line first, I let it go cause it was little busy and figured i dont kind waiting another five minutes, she started helping me and two minutes into helping me she stopped and checked out someone else instead of seeing if someone else was available, after this she helped me again for another couple minutes then asked if someone if they needed help and completely walked away to help him this was the worst customer service iv encountered we just left and wont be coming back.

Preface - I AM A EVENTS PROFESSIONAL WITH OVER 12 YEARS EXPERIENCE . I AM A LONG TIME CUSTOMER WITH GC AND BOUGHT A QSC SUBWOOFER BRAND NEW WITH PRO COVERAGE . TWO GIGS AFTER THE PURCHASE THE SUBWOOFER JUST STOPS WORKING .I take the sub physically to the Guitar Center I purchased it from, GC GVL, CONFIDENT that I will have a solution same day, considering it’s brand new and I have the *heavily employee praised* GC PRO COVERAGE .Derrick at The Greenville GC instructs me incorrectly to file a claim on my defective QSC through my coverage But didn’t even offer to honor the 45day exchange policy .Unfortunately for me, after a whirlwind of misinformation from the greenville store and pro coverage, my sub ended up at a repair center for QSC speakers ( bc pro coverage didn’t inform me to talk to anyone about the 45 day policy either ).…*As instructed by pro coverage*I took off work, drove from Greenville (GVL) to Asheville (AVL) and dropped the defective QSC speaker off at this place called the Amp Shop .A few days go by and I decide to check on the repair through GC PRO COVERAGE.After letting them know I followed through with the warranty process, the Agent confusingly asks why GC GVL didn’t replace my sub in the first place ..... at this point I feel so lost and helpless. I asked for themto help rectify the situation but multiple agents kept sidestepping the issue completely....absolutely nightmare customer service ......Considering how unhelpful the agents were, I now knew that I was not serviced correctly in the first place. It was time for me to make a decision on going through with the warranty repair or to get GC to give me the serviced that is, confirmed by GC themselves, standard and promised to every customer.But DON’T even get me started on how rude and verbally abusive Joe at The Amp Shop is. (the authorized repair center) .One day after dropping the subwoofer off to Joe, the owner of the amp shop, I called him to let him know that Guitar Center had misinformed me from the beginning and that I would need to get the subwoofer back in my possession before it was too late. I would consider this to be prompt timing as well as a pretty casual conversation all things considered... I even thought that as a musician himself he would even feel for me as I have been very patient while being in this position.Boy was I wrong ... I couldn’t even believe the language that came through the phone .Joe (the Amp shop owner) curses me out for “wasting his time” and verbatim “don’t step foot in here, I’ll leave the damn speaker outside”After praying to Jesus himself to deliver exuberant amounts of patience into my life to speak to this abusive owner holding my speaker over my head and demanding I pay him for holding my speaker, I drove 2 hours to the Amp Shop Finally got the subwoofer back in my possession (after calling QSC themselves) and went to the Guitar Center of Asheville, down the road from the amp shop, on a whim of hope they may be able to help ... THEY HAD ME A REPLACEMENT SUB IN LESS THAN 20min. ( THANKS ZACK AND DAVE of GC AVL )This whole exchange / replacement process could’ve saved me hours and hours of my time on the phone with GC, PRO COVERAGE, QSC AND THE AMP SHOP, If the correct policies had been followed through and offered to me ( a 10+ year customer ) in the first place ...I would like to Thank Brady (GC GVL) for being a bit more helpful than anyone else there . He actually clarified that I was indeed supposed to have my 45 day exchange policy honored in the first place.I’m out hours of my time, money in gas from driving my sub back and fourth and wasn’t able to have a sub for my gigs.Hopefully someone who genuinely cares for a positive customer care experience will see this and reach out appropriately.

I was never greeted. I had to find everything myself which took lots of time because I had no idea where anything was. When I go to check out I was totally ignored. The guy who checked me out didnt know what he was doing and the guy standing beside him didnt act like he wanted to help. Joni was very nice, however whoever else was working that day had HORRIBLE customer service and was very rude. Ordered a guitar online at the center with the help of a sales associate. When I Called to see if it had shipped, the automated man said my order had been canceled. I did not cancel it myself nor do any order interactions on my end. They did not call to tell me my order was cancelled, nor did they email. I had to confirm it by driving to the store. When I asked why my ordered was cancelled, they did not know. They did not know if they had it in stock or sold it to someone else. That is horrible business when you do not even know where the product is or why it was shipped or why the order was cancelled. Them loosing my guitar hurt my opinion of them, and the blonde mans horrible attitude towards me and my girlfriend was the push I needed. I will never spend my money at this place again.

Not really hitting on much, young kids running the place and hardly any inventory, only had one Les paul standard in the whole store ( what I was in the market for ) but the kids running the place was to worried about trying to sell another kid a cheap guitar that 3 of them couldnt even tune, Sweetwater or Sam Ash here I come.

I hate to say but we had a bad experience today. I know this does not reflect the entire chain, rather it is more on the employee. My wife and I went in with our 3 month old sleeping in his car seat to try to price some instruments. The lady who worked there said she was wrapping up with a customer and would be right with us. We waited there for over 30 minutes, and when she finally finished with the customer she never came back for us. Someone walked right in and she started helping them, even though she said shed come back for us. We waited some more and then she started helping other guests, without ever coming back for us. At that point we had waited for an hour with our baby and decided he couldnt wait anymore so we headed for the door. At that point, another employee stopped us and did help us and took care of us in 5 minutes, which we appreciated. I dont like to make negative reviews and almost never do, but this was just a little ridiculous. We were fine to wait while she helped the original customer, but after we had waited for 30 + minutes with a sleeping baby and she had promised to help us next and she never came back to help us we found that inconsiderate.
