The owner here is very passionate about her work. She was very helpful. She didnt have the bible version (NASB) that I was looking for but was happy to order one for me. She asked questions like would I be using it just for Church, just Bible study, both, Family ECT. She also offers super giant print (which I selected), leather or paper back and suggested having my name engraved on the cover. She went above and beyond. Very pleasant and courteous.
The new owners have done a great job reorganizing the entire store making books easier to find. Glad to have this bookstore in the area rather than having to go to a larger chain in another town. My kids keep asking when we are going back.
All books are half price. Many full series. Family business. Knowledgeable. Exchange program available. GO HERE!
Love this (my local) bookstore! Margo has special ordered new books for mewhich is so helpful.I love the comfy chairs that have been added.Today I met Bonnie, the newest “resident”. She is a beautiful yellow budgie bird.Nice selection of paperback books.
Very helpful and knowledgeable. Great variety of books.
Good selection and wonderful people
EXTREMELY helpful customer service. WONDERFUL atmosphere. Shop LOCAL and support small business. Kindles cant replace the feel of a book in your hand. Books dont need charging or get broken screens. Selection is growing and new owners take cards so much improvement there. Great ideas for the readers in your circle.
This was my first time into A New Chapter. I am so excited to find a bookstore closer to home. I have been traveling to Barnes and Noble for my reads. The new owner is very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere and a very nice selection of books. She takes trades as well. I found two of my TBRs too. :) I will be back! Thank you! -Robby
Nice place, very friendly proprietress, very helpful. Always bring some trade in books, it will make your purchases less expensive overall, but keep in mind no hardback books are accepted for trade. You CAN donate them for use in a lending type library service there that she administers. There is a nice selection, and good amount of sci-fi and fantasy, my personal favorites. My son advised there is a good selection of westerns and general fiction too. While Im not into romances, there appeared to be a good selection of those as well. The storefront is tucked around a corner halfway down the plaza, Google maps is fairly accurate on location, there is no shade, but thats hardly the bookstores fault. Worth a visit.
Great place for used books in Greenville, TX, it is small but has real friendly and helpful staff.
Limited selection of certain genres but they are happy to order books for you and are well priced.
I have never been disappointed when I go in there. Always happy when I come out of there. Dodie is a peach
Love the Book Nook. Take your paperbacks in for credit and spend awhile browsing the rows of used books for your fav authors.
Nice lady, old school paperback bookstore. Will be back.
Nice place, very friendly staff, and competitive pricing.
I posted this review years ago under the old owners. If they stop marking the books, Id be okay with it. It will take time for the marks to go away. I know books dont move very fast. I do appreciate that the new owners are stopping this practice though.Original Review: They mark the inside of the books they sell with a stamp. It has their business name on the first page of every book in the store. Who does that? Who deliberately mars books they intend to sell to someone else. Its like they are saying, even though we are selling the books to you they arent really yours. They are ours. Mua ha ha ha ha. because people who vandalize books do evil laughter a lot Im sure. I digress. Its not a library, and they shouldnt deface their books like that.
Super expensive and very unfriendly to children. Will not visit again.
Good but small collection of books
Wonderful atmosphere and lovely management!
Great food!!..
Used books-trade and sell all genre.
