I got there early to purchase a car. I drove from Asheville to get to Breakaway. Brian Pinkerton was there and was doing the lockboxes on the cars. He was super helpful friendly and he knew his cars! We quickly agreed on a fair deal. I had talked to many other dealers while looking for my car, and Breakaway had the lowest doc fees and the lowest dealer add-ons. I am happy with my purchase!

Brian met me the afternoon before my appointment for an early drop off and instructed me to pull the car in where it was prepped for the next days work. He informed me what the work would entail and the timeline to expect when it would be ready for pickup. On the day of the service he phoned me a couple hours before work was complete and advised on a good time for pickup. He again called when service was complete. At pickup time we had a few minutes to discuss the history of this particular repair and exactly what the problem was and the eventual fix from Honda engineering. I felt totally comfortable with the explanation and am confident that he problem is truly fixed. Thanks for the exceptional service Brian.

I love Breakaway Honda! They are friendly and do great work. I always ask for Randy. I recently had a dead battery, so after getting it jumped went straight to the dealership. I had my 2 young children with me and was hoping the wait wouldn’t be too long. Randy jumped in the car, drove it back to the shop, changed out the battery himself and had me on my way in about 15 minutes while we waited at his desk. Thanks, Randy!! You’re the best!!

What they are lacking in inventory (as 100% of dealers are right now), they are making up for in great service. I worked with Alan and he was able to give me great and honest information on selling me the car, giving me confidence I could call at any time for delivery updates, and made the whole process seamless. Not only was Alan great to work with, every person I talked with was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. GREAT experience.

Check-in for service was extremely quick and easy. Jordan (service rep) was even kind enough to find and apply a coupon for the service. So my family has gotten all of our cars here since like 2001. I’ve also referred several people. We’ve all gotten outstanding deals and service. From several different salesmen too. I just recently leased a 2022 civic, got a flat, took it in and it was replaced for free and I was given a free car wash. I could literally go on and on, but bottom line is this is the best place to go for a new or used car, in which ever phase of life.

I am a caregiver, I brought my handicapped client & his van here a few weeks ago. They had to keep the van overnight- which was fine, but unexpected- so it made things kind of tricky for my handicapped client & I. The young man helping us was very kind and went out of his way to make sure my client (and his power chair) was taken care of. The kind & caring customer service we experienced from this gentleman is very much appreciated. Also, the van is now running better. Just one complaint- upon arrival, we waited for 10 minutes before ever being greeted or spoken to (and multiple employees walked past us.)

I got an online quote from Breakaway and decided to purchase the selected vehicle from them. I communicated with the Internet Salesperson and made an appointment for two days later. I drove 50 miles to purchase the car from Breakaway only to discover they had sold it the night before. They immediately tried to talk me into a different car and then told me there were none like the one I selected in dealer inventory anywhere in the area. While in the Breakaway showroom I checked online and found one at a dealer located some 15 miles away. I left Breakaway, went directly to the other dealer and purchased the car. I will never do business with Breakaway again and would not trust any online quote given by them.

I did have to wait about 10 minutes to get checked in, but like most places these days, they are a bit understaffed. I have always gotten my car serviced here since I bought it back in 2018. I have never felt like I was being hassled to buy something I didnt need. In fact, there have been a few times where Ive had car maintenance service scheduled and after looking at my car, theyve told me that particular service isnt needed yet. The staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable.

I hate to leave such a bad review but the sales team here were horrible to work with. They were extremely pushy and seemed to only care about the profit they would make. We worked with one sales rep who claimed he didn’t have the warrenty information on hand and we would have to go find it online… It got so bad that we had to literally walk away from the sales rep and leave. To show how bad it was, another sales rep text me the following day and apologized for how his coworker treated us.Long story short.. I would not recommend this place to any family or friends. I would not want someone I know being treated this way

Horrible, Terrible experience. We were 🦈 by the salesman as I was trying to find a parking spot. HE rattled off MSRP, there was 1 bug crawling on the floor inside this dealership. The salesperson was extremely hard to understand, kept demanding a response to a down payment, kept differencing to my Wife, he was condescending to me. As for MRSP, you never ever never pay MSRP and 4 times I stated I WANT to purchase at Fair Market Value . DO not go here, go to Chevrolet instead

I filled out an app online, in a state of emergency. After sending over all my information, Christine contacted me and told me that she would get everything ran and call me right back. It took ten minutes for her to contact to let me know that every bank had denied me, but Honda Finance was actually looking to help me. Christine told me to come after work and she would sit me down and work with me. That she did! With me being so young and a rough credit history, Honda offered me an amazing leasing deal in a brand new 2019 Honda Civic. Im truly appreciative of everyones help at Honda. They got me out of my 99 Honda Accord that was about to fall apart at anytime. I recommend Breakaway to anyone looking for a great customer service and people who truly care. The service technician showed me a list of things wrong with my car and had the prices written all close together. So something I thought to be $21.34 and change was actually $213. CLEARLY I am a young female in my early 20s. The technician & I were also just talking about how hard finances are during this pandemic. So in all, I had to call around to find money for $300 in repairs. He showed no compassion for the mishap and just disappeared. I understand there is some level of accountability on my end, however had everything been broken down in a better fashion, it also wouldve been avoidable. I left work to come in for a oil change and got stuck with a bill I could not afford and now struggling to pay for other bills. Im just stuck on being left there with the man saying well thats why I explained it to you.... and just leaving. I would not recommend them to anyone if that is how they do business. Ive worked in customer service for a long time, so Im well aware that Compassion and empathy are elements of with it. Also theres a way to rectify the situation without footing the entire bill, which is probably what the man thought I wanted; Incorrect! but to be left standing there in tears at the desk trying to figure out how rent and all else would be paid was just too much right after work. Richard Sands is a top of the line salesman and person. He was down to earth, knowledgeable on all of the vehicles and specifically on catering to what I was looking for. The service rep was replacing the passenger seat in my HRV and had said it would take about 4-5 hours to complete. Offered to have the shuttle take me home. But stayed at the service center instead. And they were able to have the process completed in only a couple of hours. Appreciated the help and attentiveness in getting the process finished. Very friendly. My husband and I went to Breakaway. It was our first real experience shopping for a used car. We were kind of nervous expecting sales people to jump all over us, that we were hesitant to even get out of the car. We saw some that we liked and wanted more info so my husband braved his way into the open lot. Randall, the sales rep, approached him and just answered the direct questions my husband had without further pressure to proceed or look at other vehicles. We ended up looking at a few different ones and I was very honest about things I didnt like or that I did like about the different vehicles, but Randall never tried to convince me or press me to buy a car... Even when it was obvious that I was beginning to think that we would need to look at other used car dealers. But then I finally landed on one that checked all the boxes. The negotiation went smoothly and it was an overall painless process.My experience, however didnt end once I drove off the lot. After having the car for 3 days, I noticed the car giving me several errors and alerts, which normally is indicative that the battery is going bad. I did not have a positive experience with the service dept, but that isnt what Im rating right now. Despite my negative experience with the service department, I called Randall and explained what was going on. He immediately stepped in and worked it out with service and my vehicle was fixed the same day (it ended up needing a computer update which was covered in the Honda Certified warranty). Randall at Breakaway is a great asset to the used car team and Im thankful he was there to help us out!
