Very knowledgeable staff & good people. Great prices. Good incentives. 2A, baby!

I have been in many times to use the range. They have long hours of operation so I am able to use the range when my free time is limited. The staff are professional and all safety rules are ensured to be followed. I like that I have the flexibility to shoot my rifles and pistols on the same range. On one trip I had a squib in my barrel and a staff member assisted me in getting the stuck round out, overall, very helpful. They have a silencer shop kiosk and help with process to purchase a suppressor. The selection of shoulder fired guns on sale is a bit on the smaller side and are mostly tactical platforms. Pistols are priced well. Their website is well organized and allows one to order a wide range of firearms from different manufacturers. Overall a very clean organized facility and good prices make this place a win for any shootings sports enthusiasts.

This is a great place! Everything is reasonable, everyone is very skilled and knowledgeable and nothing but helpful positive attitudes awesome atmosphere! I highly recommend checking this place out if you have not yet, for the range, gear, information good staff that actually care and all your firearm needs, five stars by far!

Their radio add says they have ammo for sale.Drove 100 miles to get there and they did indeed have ammo, but the guy was really curt with us, and informed us, if we wanted ammo we would have to buy a gun from them first. Really?False advertising!The guy, who I believe was the/an owner was just smug and rude about the whole thing. Had he been friendly about it, we might have left like, o.k., we get it.Not impressed with this type of deceptiveness. Why not just be upfront in the add though.Sorry, he lost our business now and in the future, plus we are spreading the word. Guess he only wants to make money on his terms, not a good business model.

Went last year and put over 10% down on an AR-15. Literally two weeks later, I received short notice military orders to leave within 6 weeks. Went to the shop to see if they could do anything with giving me the deposit back since I wouldn’t have enough time to finish paying it off before leaving. Manager said they don’t refund deposits and if I wanted I could talk to the owner. Called the store several times and was given an excuse every time of why he was busy and couldn’t talk. When I put the money down, there was no agreement or paper signed between the two of us. The gentleman only wrote my name down in their binder and swiped my debit card. I gave two stars because I used this gun shop a lot while in Great Falls however I would be cautious to all future military about doing business here.

Be prepared to pay over MSRP on some items. Some price gouging going on here. Assuming it’s because of shortage, but they don’t sell ammo unless you buy a gun. Interesting business plan for a gun store. They do have a great selection on guns!

Just took the Basic Handgun course there and it was terrific. Amanda did a very thorough and detailed job in not only teaching handgun basics but also drawing on her personal experience to answer any questions and offer safe, sound advice. Well worth it for anyone interested in getting started with firearms in general.

Havent been yet..but based on the website...ZERO info on safety classes offered. When I called to ask about such info..the girl was absolutely ZERO help. She acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. Super frustrating considering theyre in the business of firearms. The website definitely needs some tweaking. Get rid of the black background with the colored links. It makes it very difficult to navigate.

If you’re looking doomsday prep, buy a new firearm, go shooting with an already owned firearm, or test something you haven’t tried before but want to test out this is the place to go! A well rounded store with a staff of gun toting well rounded Americans at the helm. I’ve been taking my pistols to shoot in their range since the day it opened 2 years ago and haven’t gone elsewhere. I’ve personally visited the shop to shoot my own guns, test out new guns, have date nights on the range, have rifle scopes properly mounted (after finding big stores didn’t do it right) thanks to their great gun experts, and purchased firearms there. There’s never any pressure to spend every dollar you own, only to get you into the gun that fits you, as well as optics, grips, and so much more. This isn’t a shop for someone to be pressured to spend as much as possible, it’s a shop built on exercising your second amendment rights as well as making sure you’re happy with the money you spend instead wallets. Every staff member is well versed in the in’s and out’s of the guns they sell and attachments you need

Odd hour changes where they apparently close the range 2 hours early and leave the store open. Rude employees who dont know the basics of gun safety and they jack up prices for everything... not to mention terrible lane rules..

Worst customer service I’ve had in a while

Have been shooting here for a while now since being moved to the area for work - Highwood Creek Outfitters has been SO welcoming and helpful for all my weapon needs - ALWAYS ! Every person employed here has gone out of their way to make sure I have what I need. As if they couldnt top their already amazing service, I recently did a transfer of a lower end and Highwood Creek took the time to help me build my weapon - Thank you Kyle! As long as I am in Montana, Highwood Creek Outfitters is MY home for ALL my weapon needs - AWESOME! ! ! !

Visited the store in November when I moved up from Texas, I like to think of myself as an avid shooter as its been a big hobby for years. Ive been to many shops across the country some really great and many not so much. I felt the selection of stuff in the store was not that much however they have quite a bit in a pretty small spot and was pretty impressed with the quality of the product. They didnt fill the store with junk. The staff are really friendly and helpful with out being pushy or rude. Didnt have the funds then but decided when I do Im buying from them. Just last week I bought 2 guns one for me and my wife are looking and was met again with the same patience and professionalism. The staff here really go above and beyond to meet the needs of their customers. To me that means more than having a vast selection of things.

Took my pocket knife into Highwood and was very pleased with the service! Everyone was very kind and knowledgeable. The store is clean with a lot of supplies and plenty of guns to choose from. I really like the fact that you can rent guns of your choice as well. Great place!

Moving to Anchorage, AK. Realized I had a pistol in the moving van the night before crossing the Canadian Border. These awesome guys helped me ship my firearm to a location in Alaska that was on my way to my final destination. Cannot thank them enough! Amazing stock and expertise if youre in the Great Falls, MT area!

First off, this shop is great for product. Had a lot of cool and different firearms. The staff seems cool, lacking in ammo, but over all pretty good. I put a rifle on layaway, one of the few places that lets you, and wasnt told anything about a restocking fee. Initially, the owner said $100 up front, 6 months to pay. Then he changed it to $300 up front and 3 months to pay because of the rifle. Fast forward couple weeks later, got told Im headed out to training to rejoin the military. So I head in to cancel, and out of nowhere, theres a $100 restock fee. So Im forced to lose $100 because I wont be able to payoff the layaway before the three months is up due to training. Would highly recommend staying away from them unless you get in writing before you conduct any business here. Unfortunately, I wont be doing business here anymore.

Highwood Creek Outfitters likes to bill themselves as a premier tactical shop.It isn’t.HCO never has what I need, wants full retail price for everything, and doesn’t have the service or merchandise to back it up.Tons of “tactical” junk, but try and find an Aimpoint CompM4s...They also charge for EVERYTHING. I have never been charged to install night sights I just bought, every other shop just presses them in and thanks you. They wanted $20 and for me to leave the slide overnight! The internet provides better customer service. That is where I will go for the other 7 sets of Trijicon Brite and Tough sights I need for my comp and carry glocks.I guess if you have never been in fully stocked, well staffed gun shop they might look alright. The owner should take a trip to Surplus Arms in Tacoma, WA to see how it’s done.

Wont sell you ammo unless you spend money to buy the way overpriced membership. Even if you have purchased most of your guns from them. Time to find a new gun store!

Bought some ammo from them. Jim was helpful but put aside the wrong ammo. They exchanged it for me but did not put the $80 back in my account. The gentleman man who helped me after I got the wrong ammo was nice and helpful. Ill try to get answers one more time. By the way they do sell ammo without buying a firearm.
