JC Pennies is like a staple around here. Not many places to shop. This day I was the only person in line. So, thats always a good day shopping.

I have shopped at JC Penny for 45 years, but I think I am done here and I understand why they are so few now days. Purchased a wedding ring in the fine jewelry section, 12 days later, no sign of my purchase, no one there knows where it is, and the lazy associates dont seem to be concerned except passing me along to the next. I will NEVER step foot in JCP again!!!

Store is split into two locations a couple doors down from each other I went to both. It is devided into roughly men and womens. I bought some shorts and a few t-shirts.

They always have good stuff.

The lady who checked us out was amazing.She should be one ma ager and get a raise. She helped us in the kids section but her normal job site is the womens sectionThank you

Got some good deals on clearance clothes.

Went in to buy a new, high quality mattress pad, huh, I found one. Looked for some stretch denim jeans, found some. Thought, maybe theyll have some soft t- shirts, and lucked out again. So, all in all, pretty happy that I stopped there. They have quite a selection of things you may need, and a few you may not. Much nicer than Kame-apart.

I was excited to see a Penney’s store had opened here until I went in.It’s ridiculously hot in the store and the employees I encountered were very impolite.

I dont know if they are getting ready to go out of business but they had so little merchandise, the selection was terrible! Its starting to look a lot like the Grass Valley K-Mart....

Went in for some semi formal attire as we had a celebration of life to attend. Was pleased to find the items I liked on sale. Shirt was 50% off! All in got a nice outfit for under $100. Definitely understaffed and a bit as there was nearly half a dozen people in line pretty consistently it seemed...

The store was clean, displays attractive, and prices reasonable. Store clerk ignored me standing there waiting to be checked out although she did make eye contact with me. I had to ask her if we can start the checkout process; Im not happy about that.

My moms earrings are stuck inside the store and i can’t get them but i am paying for them. i can’t give them to my mother for her birthday and there is no one i can talk to by phone this is rediculous, wish i could get the the 250.00 earrings there billing me for. 😡😡

A little diamond in the hills.. We were there for a funeral and my luggage had not arrived so I needed an outfit..It was 15 minutes from closing..The staff, the sweetest ladies you could ever find !! Helped my find an outfit and settle my nerves a bit..They were very kind and understanding about my problem..and even insisted I take a deep breath and just relax..I went back they next day to thank them..and they were so sweet..they had been keeping us in their prayers..Thank you!! You really made a very hard time much easier..

The staff is always helpful, and they cleaned the checkout area between each customer. I can usually find what Im looking for too.

Not enough cashiers. Over 1 hour wait to check out. Watched several shoppers leave without completing shop. Just put down items and walked out. I was one of them. Savings were not worth the wait.. Will not shop the grassvalley store again.

Good prices, very clean and relatively clean store. Selection is good for our small town. Really would like to see more customer service on the floor. Dressing rooms are shabby and small.

I love our little JC Pennys. Only fault is it is too small; the cause of any faults I can think of. Except, there is no where to sit especially to try on shoes or rest, what is with that?

I visited the Sephora in the womens department and wasnt disappointed in the slightest. The girl that helped me out was very knowledgeable, I walked in looking for concealer and walked out with a new makeup routine. She didnt push any sales on me, but definitely helped me figure out ways I could improve my routine fast and simple.

Good JCPenney location, Were lucky to have here in Grass Valley. Mens and childrens department in one side, womens, linen, jewelry and shoe department in the other side. Also catalog pick up area.. good place to pick up the things you need 👍

Always look for sale prices - while the selection may not be the best, the sales are always good. And if you find the right staff member you can actually get some good advise like I did today the mens section.

I love their sales. Currently they have a darling cashier that makes it all worth my time. This is a smaller store compared to ones in malls or big city, but you can always order online and have them deliver to store.

Sephora was terrible. Went in, liked a eyebrow pencil. Didnt have, told me the were changing names, offered no help in finding something else. If they are changing names, why do they have the samples. Have had similar experience there several times.

Closest place to go clothes shopping near me and reasonable prices

I hate Pennys idea of 50% OFF.You have to buy one at FULL price, and only then is the second purchase 50% off. With that required, my discount is only 25%, plus I have TWO of the something that I only wanted one of.Come on....get your merchandising honest! At the very least, put your deceiving requirement to buy two in a size that doesnt require a magnifying glass.You could take a lesson from Kohls...when I leave their store I feel like I am the winner.

I always find cute clothes here and they always have sales and prices are reasonable normally but extra great prices with all their coupons and sales....

No one is friendly, know what your looking for and you will have to find it yourself!

You dont have nearly enough dressing rooms to go around. Your clerks have mentioned that you have been having problems with theft. If that is the case then you should figure out a way to deal with thievery but not at the expense of your existing customers comfort inability to try on clothing. Time and time again all too many customers are lining up frustrated and having to wait to use the two very small but this shopping center provides. open up your other dressing room or youre going to lose even more customers. Wonder Woman pass me by and said you were quality of clothing is also getting worse. I have not experienced this but it doesnt help JCPenneys general image

Good merchandise at good prices. Its really the only place around here to buy clothing in a store rather than online and they have a good selection.

Horrible customer service here. I lost a bag almost a month ago and called about it and they didnt help me at all! that bag had a lot of stuff in it. my rosary, my 3DS charger, my wallet, my house keys, a coin someone had given me as a gift. AND my migraine medications. they said theyd looked for it but given how quickly they came back to the phone they were clearly lying to me. the wallet in question holds a lot of sentimental value as it was from my late grandmother and therefore is irreplaceable along with the rosary and the coin. I also lost my library card due to this. plus the stuff they sell is cheap and very junky. my watch broke within a day of purchase and now its useless due to the buckle being what broke. worst experience Ive had in a while

The selection of the womens department is definitely vast and fertile, however the experience with one of the staff members ruined the entire trip. The woman by the name of Andrea in the jewelry department was very rude, snappy and had a cold demeanor. After bringing this to the attention of one of the ladies at the front counter, a customer verbally expressed her distaste for Andrea as well. If you feel like paying high prices and being treated very poorly by someone who does not like their job, then this is the place for you.

Seriously, JCPenny has the best deals and coupons! I wish their selection in my town store was a little better. Only docked 1 star because they have the store spit into 2 stores. One side has mens, kids and home. And then down the complex, about 200 feet is another JCPenny with womens and make up lol. I shop for kids and me and its a little annoying to have to pay on 1 side. Then drag everyone to the other store for me to the pay agian. Needless to say, i dont end up shopping for me much.

Very misleading sales prices. You have to read the fine print on the signs. They include coupon prices as the price. You need to have the coupon to get the sale price. Also the cashiers are very slow.

My experience at Grass Valley pennies is always marvelous I give it A5 star but if I shopped at the pennies in Yuba City I would not even give it a star it looks like the floor of a teenagers room the employees are all very nice but there is no one to fold the clothes it is the only store in the Marysville Yuba City area that looks like that its horrible I will travel an hour to go to another pennies so I do not have to shop 30 minutes from my house
