I couldnt get anyone to answer the phone for most of a day. I then had to wait for a call back to get an estimate. It seems it would be a good practice to have someone on phones and questions. Then it would free up your techs to do their things. Not getting stuck on the phone.
Went to the auto care center desk and asked an employee wearing a mechanics shirt if I could make an appt to get a new battery. Was told I had to go find someone else to help me. Then went to speak with the supervisor in auto care and was blown off and told they dont change batteries, then he turned around and said they do. Evidently employees in auto care dont know their job, services they provide or any decent customer service. 8/5/21
I experienced an unexpected issue with my car while traveling through Grants Pass last Sunday, and Walmart Auto Center was one of the only mechanics shops open. Charlie provided friendly, efficient and knowledgable service and helped me get back on the road safely. He is an asset to the Grants Pass Walmart Auto Care Center.
First off let me say Ive been a mechanic for 26 yrs! Ok I went to order some tires I talk to the guy told him size 195/55/15. He looked at me like I was crazy and asked if I was sure I said yes he proceeded to get on his computer and tell me they dont make that size and I was wrong. I was like are you serious right now...... Cant fix stupid!
They fixed a flat tire, that no-one else could.
Recently had some tires replaced there after a road hazard mishap. When the tires were purchased we were told the warranty would cover anything that happens barring an obvious accident but despite these tires being recently purchased they did not honor the road hazard warranty; very disappointing but they were professional so I give some credit.
As my oil was being changed, I went over to electronics and there was no one to help me.
Everything i needed at a great price. A little cluttered with pallets in the isles, for restocking .. but it was the middle of the day.
Purchased a new set of tires 🙌. Good price and professional service 👌

You must remember, THIS IS WALMART. Yes, it takes longer than an actual tire shop. You do not get employees running to serve you like LS employees. They dont carry a lot of inventory. Maybe 1-2 stiles off the most common sizes. Their employees dont live the fast paced high pressure sales life as actual tire shop employees. They are underpaid and have to deal with a crowd that expects them to give world class service.So why four stars... PRICING! They are literally 25-50% less than anyone in town. Do not put yourself on a time constraint. Do not complain about having to lug your 5 kids around while waiting. Dont expect them to do any work outside of industry standards. If you follow this advice you will save hundreds of dollars and have a good experience.

I just called to ask for the price of an oil change. After quoting me the price, I asked if that included the oil filter. I was told that they would put one in IF they had one that fits my car. He was satisfied with his answer, and was ready to get off the phone. I asked if he could check now to see if they had one for my car. He asked my cars make and model. After I gave it to him, he said we most likely have one!! I asked, you most likely have one? ....... no response. Really? He did not even look for it!! Am I to take a chance, go down there, have my oil changed, and then drive elsewhere to look for a filter and have it installed if they did not have it? I thanked him and got off the phone. Cant believe the lack of interest.
Was super disappointed with the tire center! I called not once, not twice but FOUR 4 times to confirm that they could put on two front tires for me because mine are bald; even gave them all the Information on my back tires so that there wasnt any problems due to the fact I had to drive a total of 50 miles pregnant && with a toddler on very bald tires just for their convient prices to fit my budget.. When I got there I was told they could not do it for me..
In the beginning, they were great at oil changes.. 30-40 min, not bad. The last couple times they ‘diverted’ my oil change by saying “I’m just warning it’s going to take several hours” with only 2-3 cars ahead of mine. Seems like they don’t want the business. I’ll go somewhere else
Tire shop closes at 7pm. I pulled up at 6:07pm and the attendant said sorry were closed. I said I need a patch my tire is going flat. He replied come back tomorrow. I said Im traveling and Im going to be stuck here tonight. He shook his head again. I said dude Ill tip you out if you do it. He said alright. I had to bride the workers to do there job. Now I know why I only go to Costco or les swab
*They refused to replace my front tires because my rear tires were just barely too worn.*I had just come from Eugene and was continuing South, but my front tires were in shreds. (Literally shreds, torn belts and all.) I would have gotten new ones sooner, but hey, moneys tight.Apparently just that morning the manager decided to enforce the decision that new tires MUST go on the rear and the rear rotated to the front, after attending some form of training. Before this, they had a waiver that could be signed.My rear tires, apparently not meeting their criteria, could not be rotated. Ergo, youll have to get four or go somewhere else. The issues with that are three fold.- I cannot afford anywhere else, let alone a full set.- No other shop was going to be open by the time I could get there.- I would have to continue to drive on those tires, putting my health and vehicle at risk.All of this because they claim to know whats best for my safety. (Read: a poor excuse to push sales.) Well good job, because I was apparently the 6th person they had to turn away that day!I just want to end with this: Sorry, hourly employees, I know your hands are tied. Ive been in retail, and it blows.
I have had much better experiences at the auto care dept. However, I was the only car in bay 1; 40 minute wait turned into almost 2 hours. Not fun with a 16 month old who was missing her nap.
Thank you for letting me park on the side of the building, and then letting me come back out the door after shopping. Wouldnt recommend using the auto area to make purchases because even if you only have two items they are not fast.
Went in to get 2 tires changed out with some other ones I already had and price was fair but I got quoted an hour of work even though the shop had 1 car in it and 4 mechanics which is fine but it ended up takin 2 hours when they were not busy. They would work on my car for 5 min and start doing something else and stretched out the work so hard I was left in awe. Ive worked in a few shops myself and the way these guys work is at tell pace of 90 year old man. I will never come back and sure as hell wont recommend this place to anyone.
Arrived @8:22 am with no one in line. It took over 2 1/2 hours to install 4 tires. The workers wasted as much time as possible. I will never have anyrhing done at walmart again.
I took 4 sand paddles Im for my quad. They didnt clean the beads on any of them and also ruined one tire. Couldnt believe it. After i called them on it he denied responsibility and said he wouldnt buy a new tire. After on hold for 15 minutes the manager finally got back on the phone and agreed to pay for it. Terrible place when it comes to doing a good job
They were very helpful and I got exactly what I needed, after going somewhere else and getting the run around and being refused service because I only needed one tire, it was nice to be treated like a human being. I will go back here for my tire needs from now on.

Showed up one night for a rotate a balance. Was told they wouldnt be able to get to me before they closed. This was 3 hours before closing. Showed up early morning only 1 car in the shop with 6 mechanics standing around. Hours later my rotate and balance is finally completed
Always has been and always will be the WORST EVER. Every time I have been here I have been aggrevated beyond belief at the incompetence and lack of effort here. Came here again because I had no choice. They were the only shop open today and I had a couple hours to kill. The guy told me it would be two hours. I told him that was too long, I have three small children with me. I would come back another time. The other guy comes out says they can fet on it in 30 mins. Ok, deal. 2 hours later I come to see how progress is movin along. One tire is off rendering me stuck until they finish. None of the new tires have even been mounted. WOW.
